Upon a Lonely Hill
It was a cold and haunting night, the wind came in waves which felt like ice against my fur, but that was the least of my worries, my mind was fixed on only one thing...the horizon sending back the one who holds the other half of my heart. ...For 13 long years i've sat here atop this cliff, preying to the heavens that one day i would see your boat in the distance...this cliff is my home now, because it's where i saw you last, and home truly is where the heart lies, and waits...whether it's in this lifetime or the next, i will wait for you...despite what the weather is like, my heart and soul remains warm with hope, that one day i will witness the unique love in your eyes once more, and have the feeling of your paws wrapped around me, in what would feel like forever...
You showed me the greatest example of what true love can do to a furry, how it can be taken upon unimaginable heights and beyond...and i'll never forget how warm and safe i felt each and every time you embraced me, sometimes it almost felt like our souls were connected...in more ways then our brains can understand.
I still haven't given up hope that i'll see you again in this lifetime, everytime i see the sun sink beyond the horizon i envision that same loving sparkle i saw in your eyes that i so deeply admire, that i so deeply miss...from one love to another, i will wait for you...love in love, paw in paw, heart in heart.
