Season's Breedings

A mini-continuation of my story, the The Overlook Bar with our pregnant Husky, Luke, and our stud of a Malamute Just a short, wholesome, cozy, slice of life I guess?

"It's not 'Season's Breedings'?"

Luke, the very confused, and heavily pregnant Husky, sat on the side of Knox's bed. The night he found out he was a breeder, Knox had taken taken pity on him and let him stay at his cramped, albeit very cozy studio apartment. Luke groaned, his massive dome of a middle had caused his Santa's shirt to roll up, the dog catching the very edge of it with his idle hand.

"Not even close," Knox said, grabbing a mug from his cabinet.

"What's it supposed to be then," the Husky asked as he watched the Malamute pour his evening cup of coffee.

The Malamute paused in front of the coffee maker, shaking his head as he chuckled, "You've really never heard of the saying 'Season's Greetings'?"

The Husky shrugged, "I told you I grew up in a pretty strict household down in the south. My parents probably made sure to scrub anything that wasn't overtly 'Christmas' themed out of anything we did during the holidays."

"So, you're saying that growing up in a strict household led to you mixing up the word "greetings" with "breedings"?"

Luke groaned and leaned back, his belly protruding out even further than it usually did, "I dunno. I guess?"

Knox mixed some sugar and creamer into his coffee, "Is that why you got all dressed up like that?"

The Husky ignored the squirming coming from his middle, "I just figured it would be a fun way to help you relax," he spread out his legs in an attempt to get the energetic pups inside of him to calm down, "I mean, you have been working quite a lot recently."

"So, slutty Santa?"

"Will you stop it," Luke's ears pinned themselves down to the sides of his head, "I already admitted it was a dumb idea."

Knox sat down on the side of the bed with Luke. He had his mug of coffee in his hands, "You are truly the strangest Husky I've ever met."

The Husky's face went fully red, "Well, you're stuck with me for right now."

Wrapping one of his massive arms around Luke, the Malamute whispered, "I wouldn't want it any other way."

Luke wavered a moment, before accepting Knox's warm embrace.

"Neither would I."
