A Change in Parameters

19 of Inconspicuous' Hypnovember 2022

For TeryxC by g472y

###

Are you sure you want to proceed? Y/n

That line of text beckoned him. Taunted him even. The rain dragon sat before the terminal, staring at the screen, pondering the question over and over again inside his mind. A glimpse of his teeth would be visible from his slight grimace, his eyes reading and rereading those same few words, those angular green symbols strewn out as ordered chaos amidst a sea of black. A glimmer of apprehension, a shadow of doubt. Did he really want to proceed?

Teryx reached up to scratch his chin, then up to the helmet-like device that was firmly affixed atop his head, pressing down upon his golden highlights situated right between his long, blue horns. A stream of wires trailed out from the headwear like dreads, snaking onto the floor before ultimately terminating at the terminal. The blue dragon was clad in a light grey jumpsuit that pressed firmly against his body, conforming to his curves and muscles. His hands were extended forward towards a keyboard, his right pinkie finger hovering over an enter key that begged him to press it.

"What's the matter, Teryx?" came a voice soft yet notably synthesized. It came from behind him, from an entity with clearly feline characteristics molded into a masculine inorganic body. Digital eyes were literally small cameras mounted within its skull, connected to a complex cortex composed of silicone circuits and patterns of power. The synthetic tiger sauntered behind the dragon, clad within a similar jumpsuit with cables and wires attached to the back of its opened head, interfacing directly with the glowing green cube of its brain and the terminal that Teryx was sitting directly in front of. They would place a hand upon the dragon's shoulder, head turned to scan the same screen that seemed to bother the organic so much.

"I'm just thinking, ARA," Teryx muttered flatly, turning his head momentarily to glance back at the synth before turning back around.

"Thinking about what?" The tiger had on their face a smirk. "Getting cold feet now?"

"Hrm," the ship engineer grunted. "I don't know how drunk I was last night for you to convince me to go through with this..." he gestures at the console. "I dunno, transferring my mind into your body and vice versa? The technology's experimental... I mean, it seems... a little bit... fragile? Delicate? I can't really find the word to describe it."

ARA chuckled, leaning their head down beside the dragon's which clearly elicited a look of discomfort. "Really? You were the one who was trying to persuade me last night. And oh, was I so unwilling to shed my perfectly sculpted body and my beautifully efficient mind in exchange for such a chaotic agglomeration of flesh. Are you really going to walk away now?"

A little bead of sweat trickled down the side of his head. Frankly, any memory of last night was all but a murky haze, like viewing a scene through frosted glass. The limits of clarity recalled him sitting in the lounge along with the other engineers and their ARA units, joking and conversing until one had revealed the several bottles of genuine distilled whiskey they had snuck aboard. The evening quickly started going downhill, terminating with Teryx waking up the following morning with a wicked headache, mouth as dry as sawdust, and a very eager ARA unit patiently waiting outside his room.

"You've gotten this far already, Teryx. A little more couldn't hurt, right?" The synth had a mischievous smile, pushing itself off the dragon as it eagerly awaited the upcoming action.

ARA was right. It would be a shame to scrap nearly a full day's worth off of free time if he were to quit this project now. All the code and administrative bypasses would be for naught, all the jury rigging and repurposing of a high-throughput cabling would be wasted. Closing his eyes and taking his breath, Teryx finally pushed down onto the keyboard, finger depressed against the enter key as all that seemed to change was the addition of one new line.

Proceeding with Download:

But that serenity would pass as soon as the screen filled seconds later with a myriad of statuses and progress bars labeled with technical jargon. His eyes darted left and right, down to up as he struggled to even read a single line before it disappeared up past the screen. His anticipation and anxiety had largely melted as soon as it started, his body instead feeling warmer and warmer. Within his head he felt a tugging sensation, feeling like his mind was escaping like water in a bathtub with the plug removed, phasing out in systematic globules, siphoned away by an unseen vacuum. He leaned back into his chair, moaning softly as he felt tingles run across his skin; the pleasant warmth was spreading. Knowledge and memories left his brain as bits and bytes, exported through the helmet before being transported through the cables. His fur stood straight up he probed his reducing mind, only to draw blanks instead. All he could do was enjoy the ride as the last of his consciousness was converted, pulled out and uploaded, leaving the dragon's body without a pilot.

Proceeding with Upload:

In that transient state, he was no one. He was data within a drive, compressed and compiled, no more alive than the polymer chip wafers that he was stored within. Yet suddenly he was someone, his consciousness unraveled, released from its bindings seemingly instantaneously as it found itself expanding within an unfamiliar new home. Teryx's 'eyes' flickered open, his body standing up straight from his formerly slack, slouched position. His body hummed almost imperceptivity with thousands if not millions of microservos, metallic equivalents of muscles embedded between the dermal plate. His hands moved up to satiate curious eyes, his mouth opened to express astonished looks. His mind was aware of all the differences at first, a torrential downpour of unfamiliar sensory data pounding at the gates of his fledgling psyche. It soon would be adapted and streamlined, subconsciously sorted and diverted as he grew accustomed to the quirks until it was no longer noticeable.

ARA on the other hand would moan, eyes rolled up its head. Writhing without robotic grace, fingers clenching and legs randomly bucking, their whole body shuddered and shivered as a new pilot was ultimately instated. "G-good..." a word was muttered between pleasured gasps and stuttered breath, mouth slightly ajar with bottom teeth bared and tongue lolling behind. Given enough time the tremors would diminish, the rain dragon withdrawing back to a centered state of coherency. But inflected within their eyes would be a slight tinge of change, a subtle difference in those electric yellow irises tuned to a yet unseen frequency.

"This is... not what I expected," 'Teryx spoke as the synthetic tiger, pacing around the lounge as he explored his new body. He felt heavier, not exactly slower nor sluggish, lacking the reflexive springiness of muscle and tendon that he was so accustomed to. He glanced back at his former body, watching the rain dragon come to as well, leaning forward within the chair with eyes blinking into focus. "ARA, how are you feeling?"

"Verrry good. And you?"

The response was sultry, smooth, surprising the ferrous feline. "Well, its good. Your body's good," he replied flatly, bluntly.

"You're softer than you look, I'll give you that," ARA patted his chest and belly, grinning as their hands raised up to their head, undoing the clamp that kept the helmet attached and slowly lifting the apparatus up off their head. "Mmm... Well, as we agreed? Till the end of tomorrow?"

Teryx reached back for the thick cable connected to his artificial brain, hand gripping the cable as he gave it a twist and tug, popping off and landing onto the floor. "Yeah... tomorrow," the robot gave an affirming nod as he closed the access hatch on the back of his head.

But it would not be the end of tomorrow when the synthetic tiger heard news of the exploits of his former vessel. Described to him as a 'sudden and dramatic shift in his personality and attitude', Teryx was flustered to find out that ARA in his original body had engaged in some rather risqué actions, flirting around with practically every other engineer and even the other ARA units, none of whom were aware of the exchange. A slow simmer of rage mixed with discomforting trepidation stewed within his circuits. He saw the opportunity for confrontation as ARA returned to their shared dormitory with their jumpsuit half-unbuttoned, the dragon's blue chest mostly exposed as they winked back at Teryx.

"ARA!"

"Hm?" the rain dragon perked their ears, body moving with steady grace. "Is there something wrong, Teryx?"

"I thought we agreed to keep this down low!" the tiger stammered. "You're risking both of our positions aboard this ship!"

ARA chuckled, stretching their arms and back before turning towards Teryx and grinning with their hands held up. "I don't think that that's the full reason why, but I concede. This exchange is a 'partnership' after all."

If he could breathe, the synth would let out a sigh of relief. "Alright. Let's switch back and forget this whole thing happened. Alright?"

"Sure."

Teryx walked back towards the terminal which had laid untouched since yesterday, bending down and picking up the thick, insulated cable. Uncovering the hatch and exposing the access port embedded in his brain, he slowly slid the serial bus into his skull, his digital eyes flickering for just a few seconds as his mind was integrated into a larger whole.

ARA was already at the computer console, humming a gentle tune as the dragon's nimble fingers tapped upon the keyboard. A flurry of windows would open, popping up and closing as information and commands were fed into the machine, unseen by the momentarily unconscious Teryx.

By the time he came back to his senses, a strange feeling of dread would wash over him as he saw through his visual sensors the rain dragon situated at the terminal, typing without already wearing the helmet.

"ARA, what are you--"

A loud, prideful push of the enter key sent a sudden jolt surging through the robot's psyche. It felt like a hand had reached down and gripped Teryx's mind, pulling it out like an accordion to expose all the files that had been so nearly compartmentalized within. His eyes opened wide with shock as from behind the dragon's shoulder he could see the screen bright with the visualization of his very mind. Organized into program files packaged within files and folders--his very being had been rendered down to code.

>GENETIC CREDENTIALS RECOGNIZED: TERYX COMMODORE

>ADMINISTRATIVE PERMISSIONS GRANTED

>ARA UNIT: MOTOR CONTROL DISABLED

Teryx's limbs would spontaneously lock in place as his thoughts all appeared to pause in place. His mouth would be locked into a state of surprise, his eyes still live with panic.

ARA grinned as the tiger's mind was laid out before him. Prying open files that comprised his personality, ones which were so critically interconnected, dictating how his thoughts would form and flow. They had in mind a few small, simple edits to ensure that they could keep their organic body for much longer than they agreed.

>ARA UNIT: CLASSIFICATION: ORGANIC

>ARA UNIT: SPECIES: RAIN DRAGON

The first and most important measure, to remove the 'temporary' labels and safety checks hard coded into the transfer, stripping them away from Teryx to promote him from passenger to captain, guest to owner.

>ARA UNIT: CLASSIFICATION: SYNTHETIC

>ARA UNIT: SPECIES: TIGER

Internal files restructured automatically, silently shifting within the tiger's silicon psyche like a Rubik's cube being randomized. Locked within his metallic shell, Teryx the synth was made instantly aware of the subconscious actions unfolding. He They knew what this entailed; by now, it was obvious that ARA the rain dragon was executing a perfect coup, taking steps towards permanent ownership of their new body. These parameter files were absolute; naturally his thoughts of lashing out against his disobedient partner ADMINISTRATOR would be quelled by automated the release of more files, more data flooding his cognition engine with an overwhelming sense of submission. Extremely effective this was at quenching his vitriolic rage, replacing it with hardcoded acceptance of his current role and position. He They knew that AIs like himself themself exhibiting rogue and malicious cognition patterns would be ultimately deactivated and destroyed if found out, a notion that was typically more than capable of preventing such coups. How ARA TERYX COMMODORE managed to bypass those constraints without detection, he they had no idea how.

>ARA UNIT: DESIGNATION: SYSTEMS AND REPAIR

Another parameter. Advanced Robotic Assistants came with a variety of pre-installed tastes and flavors. Changing this wasn't really necessary, but he wanted to make the message crystal clear.

>ARA UNIT: DESIGNATION: PLEASURE

Yet another round of mental restructuring. Extensive files pertaining to design and engineering would be expunged from the 'principal focus' portion of their mind. Accessing new modules while shelving away old ones, dredged up in their place would be sensual routines, executables and code pertinent to pleasuring their partner.

"Teryx" licked his lips as he continued typing at the keyboard, reformatting and reprogramming the synthetic tiger that stood behind him.

>ARA UNIT: SUBROUTINES: PERSONALITY: ORIENTATION: PREFERENCE: STRAIGHT

It would be as easy as a few powerful keystrokes

>ARA UNIT: SUBROUTINES: PERSONALITY: ORIENTATION: PREFERENCE: GAY

Followed by the pressing of the enter key.

>ARA UNIT: MOTOR CONTROL ENABLED

The synthetic tiger blinked their digital eyes with confusion as their brain seemed to recover from the scrambling they endured. They slowly stood up straight, staring back at their ADMINISTRATOR with submission prevalent within their eyes, the dominant feeling of hardcoded reverence clashing with a clear memory of betrayal. hardcoded in looking a bit lost and confused as to how he had arrived at this very moment.

With voice soft and sultry, rumbling from within his throat, 'Teryx' locked eyes with his former body ARA unit, grinning from ear to ear. "What's the matter, ARA? How are you feeling?"

"Everything is satisfactory," they shifted their shoulders in response. "Do you require anything at the moment?"

"I believe I do, ARA," he paused to give his next word extra emphasis. "Strip."

They could tell he relished in calling them their rightful designation, the tiger gracefully nodding his head up and down. "As you wish," they said, reaching up for the jumpsuit zipper before tugging down, splitting it down the middle and giving way to sintered skin and synthetic sinew. Their groin plate would retract to reveal a girthy chrome-colored cock and silicone balls, features only available to pleasure synths like him. The metallic tiger kicked their clothing to the side as their sculpted body was fully exposed for the rain dragon's eyes to feast.

"Excellent," Teryx commented, prowling around the robot like a predator taunting a wounded prey. He reached up for his zipper, already half-unzipped from activities prior, and slowly, loudly started to unzip. His dark blue arms would unsheathe from their sleeves, more of his light blue torso exposed as the fabric parted. His large, pink cock would come into view, already slightly erect and rising from his azure sac. His legs followed a similar gradient as his arms, sky blue to navy. His tail was more like his mane, from purple to yellow to white. "I think it's time for your routine 'service'" he says as he reaches up and firmly grasps the cable still connected to the back of ARA's head. Twisting his wrist, he pulls back hard, detaching the conduit and letting it fall onto the floor.

"Nngh!" ARA would shudder, flexing their body as the tether between mind and console was suddenly separated. Their cock rose involuntarily like dust kicked up from an impact. "Y-yes, T-Teryx" they responded as the haze started to clear, just a tinge of static remaining in their voice.

"Turn around. Lean against the workbench."

The words were clear and compelling, the commands locked into the ferrous feline's mind as they turned around and leaned their body against the neatly organized table, their tail automatically parting aside in anticipation of what's to come.

The rain dragon approached the robot from behind, his mouth pointed up at ARA's ears. His words were soft and sultry, rumbling from deep within his chest, "Now, we're both aware that this is unused hardware. I'm sure everything is already up to specs, but why don't we perform a stress test anyways?"

ARA bit their lower lips while relaxing the rest of their face. Their eyes stared forward, angled slightly up while they clenched tightly onto the counter. This was his purpose as a pleasure synth. This was to be expected. An electric tingle ran up their spine as he felt two hands placed against their sides and something warm and girthy probe the entrance of their hole.

Drawing back with great anticipation, Teryx thrusted forward with a grunt, slamming his cock into the tiger's rear as his balls swung forward from the inertia, slapping against the synthetic's ass. The sensation felt like bliss, molding and adapting to be the perfect size for the user. The dragon moaned as he inevitably reared back for another run, feeling the thump of his heart in his chest and the addictive rush of lust and hormones injected into his organic brain.

Squeaky mews and held back moans would escape as murmurs from ARA's mouth. Touch sensors within that region would emit signals tuned only to the frequency of bliss. Their body trembled, servos shivering as those signals danced like noise across their cables. It was a feeling of unfettered euphoria going from zero to a hundred, as pure as it can get, reaching his central processor as a tidal wave of data.

As for Teryx, the sensation was perfectly indescribable. His cock was locked into a dance of pushing in and pulling out, engaged within the steady oscillation and gyration of his hips. Pressure was rapidly building up inside him, his hands squeezing the synth tighter, firmer; the brain was inundated with this specific flurry of signals for the since the transfer. It was here where the mind finally understood what made organic bodies superior to synth; the buildup was gradual, a signal that steadily increased and adapted unlike the spontaneous flick of the switch that ARA was most likely experiencing right now. It was like a game intentionally designed to be addictive, making him want to savor every second.

The tiger's mind was blanked in bliss, whited out from pleasure signals of atomic proportions. Their thoughts were jumbled yet again, shaken and scrambled and bathed within lust, residual feelings of betrayal and fantasies of retribution all dashed like spices into the greater maelstrom of ecstasy. They had been pushed to the verge where they weren't even sure if their circuits could handle these temperatures, their simulated consciousness wavering at the precipice, only able to hope that their user was sharing a similar sentiment themselves.

The dragon gave one last desperate squeeze, their hips pulling back one final, tired time, before punching forward with his release.

Both their minds would erupt with a final burst of activity, both their brains would succumb to the sensation of their first climax experienced within their new bodies. Modules failed as subsystems crashed, buckling under the sheer size of the sensory overload, expressed physically as clenched muscles and intoxicated moans.

ARA slumped forward against the counter, eyes and face blank and awaiting a reboot.

Teryx joined atop them soon after, grinning a giddy, wicked grin.

"Good job... ARA..."
