While a storm hits Luca's (a husky dog) town a meteorite falls in the near forest. This rock possesses some kind of radiation that makes life mutate gradually into their primitive forms and Luca's town, as well as him, goes back in time as they recover from the atmospheric phenomenon.

Monday 8:30 am, Lucas, a husky, was sat in front of the TV watching the last news about an approaching hurricane. The meteorological phenomenon was still weak, a tropical storm actually, but experts warned it would intensify in the near future due to the high temperatures on the surrounding waters and the incredibly slow speed it moved. It would touch land during midnight, his hometown was some miles away, but the storm was immense, so it was going to be affected. He had prepared well to hold until it had massed: his phone and laptop were changed, he had bought some cans so he would not starve, his house was strong, so he only reinforced the windows.

Lucas went to bed at 11:45 pm, rain had started to fall, it was light though, yet he knew it would become stronger throughout the night. He had a nice sleep, for the sound of the heavy rain or the strong winds did not wake him up. By morning, he realized electricity had been cut. He opened his eyes to a dark world, barely illuminated by sunlight that managed to reach Earth through the dark clouds that covered the sky. Winds were stronger than last night, trees around his house trembled by their force, rain had become a diluvium, yet Lucas thought it was not as strong as others he had witnessed before.

There was still signal, so he connected rapidly to check about the hurricane and also to know how his friends were. The storm, now a proper hurricane, moved slowly across the country. It had reached category 3, clouds covered half of the territory, tropical storm winds were still affecting his region. Friends were alright, everyone had locked inside their houses, they chatted a little, enough to save battery. They knew, depending on the amount of damages the hurricane caused, electricity could take a long time to come.

The rain continued while winds had become stronger. Trees bent and waved to the rhythm of the chaotic moves of the wind. The hurricane was about to exit the country, yet it was still too slow and it had strengthened. The region it had passed was too thin and even if it had mountains they were not too high, or covered a wide area, plus the feeding bands of this atmospheric beast lied on the hot waters of the sea.

Late at night the hurricane actually left the country, half of it was without electricity. Social nets were full of images of the disaster left behind by the storm: houses destroyed, bridges sunk under flooded rivers, pulled up trees... it would take some time to fully recover. What few knew, was that, during the storm, a space rock, not too big to cause major damages, and which its fall had been silenced by the wrathful winds, fell near the town of Lucas. It could be said it was a normal meteorite, but there was a particular energy that emanated from it which gradually spread around.

Sky was still cloudy next morning when Lucas came out of his house. His property had suffered minor damages: some fallen leaves and branches. Outside, in the neighborhood, was similar, except for three fallen trees (one palm and two trees). Sea managed to enter the first avenue, the one that was just behind the shore. A mixture of sand, seaweeds, mud and leaves covered that street, while the same mixture, just adding some trash, the rest of the town. He was told there were even more fallen trees a mile at the east as well as damages in the electric cables, so electricity would take some time to come again, plus, the province the hurricane just abandoned was completely devastated.

Lucas decided to clean his garden next day, soil was still wet, so it would complicate it for most leaves were tiny and got suck easily to the floor, so he went back inside to make breakfast, lunch later, then dinner. He connected few times throughout the day, just to be informed about the situation, plus chatting with friends who did not live there. By then, his phone was at 50%, so, when night fell upon him, he turned on the laptop to watch some movies and shows, as well as charging his phone a little. He stayed awake until 11:00 pm. Night was impenetrable and quiet; most people had gone to sleep already, only crickets, cycads as well as owls and frogs could be heard. Stars that could not be seen due to light pollution filled the sky with their light, a fresh breeze blew from the sea.

Far in the forest, on the other hand, a space rock began to exercise its influence all around. Near it, nature changed: animals and plants degenerated into primal forms. The closer you were, the grater the mutations. In half a kilometer diameter, nature had turned back almost one million years, curiously, creatures affected by the regression did not move far away from the stone. Its effects were gradual, creating several layers of involutions in the landscape. That night, its influence got to the town, yet, as it was so far from the stone, it did not affect it considerably: batteries increased the discharging ratio. Lucas' phone went down from 50% to nearly 20% by the morning, while his laptop, to 40%.

Sky was clearer that day, so, after eating breakfast, Lucas began the labors in his garden. He brought tools as well as trash bags and put paws into business. As damages were minimal and soil was drier, he finished the work in a couple of hours, so he put the bags full of trash where his neighbors had, then, after taking some rest, he prepared his lunch: some tuna and rice. Then, he sat by his porch and draw his phone to check out the news.

"What!" Lucas exclaimed in perplexity. His phone was dead, rapidly, he went to see his laptop, just to find out that battery was about to die as well.

"What the hell did just happened?" he said aloud "I check them before bed and there was enough battery left!"

He decided to ask the neighbors as well as some friends for help, but all of them were in a similar situation.

That night, he went to bed earlier, it took him some time to fall asleep. There was another concern upon his head: water in the tanks was running out, he still had some in the tanks he used as cisterns, but with no electricity he would have to rely on carrying water with buckets.

The area of influence of the alien mineral expanded again over the night. The million years' zone increased to one kilometer. Lucas' town went back to early 2000's or late 90's: cellphones disappeared as well as some electronic devices, clothes changed, so did hairstyles and fashion. The last thing to be rewritten was memories and bodies. People began to change their aspects, adding minimal features of their ancestors: birds lost feathers and increased the body area covered by scales, mammals grew in height as well as weight, fur changed colors.

Lucas woke up next morning with 5cm and 5kg earned, so he was 1.75m with 70kg. He was usually an athletic dog, not muscled nor slim, that day he looked fitter.

"Weird" he remarked when he put on his clothes and noticed they were tighter "Have I gained weight in these few days or is it that these clothes are too old?"

Not having a good answer to either question, he continued his routine of brushing his hair and fur, now grayer than before and ate his breakfast. Then to fill every water container with what he still had in the cistern. Then he went out for a walk, there was not too much to do these days.

"How is recovering going so far, Ethan?" Lucas asked the rooster who was listening to the radio. Lucas always thought about how big this bird was for his kind. Roosters usually heighted 1.65 top, being 1.60m the average, yet this guy could almost look at him without racing the head or Lucas lowering it. He was also better built than the canine, even though he was more intellectual than a hardworking man.

"Still far from us" Answered the rooster whose height and weight were not only the most distinct feature of his physics: feathers were shorter, especially those in the tail "So maybe we're going to have a couple more of days without electricity".

"Damn!" Lucas said "I'm done with carrying water from the cistern".

"All of us" Ethan agreed "But that's life".

Lucas continued with the walk around town; most people stayed at their porches without something to do, just staring at the streets. Kids, on the other hand, played joyfully, some adults joined them, but the majority were in groups running up and down the streets, hiding, jumping, laughing, yelling. In their minds: no school= endless fun.

The husky returned home at noon, made lunch, he was running out of food as well, filled everything with water again and had a nap. In the afternoon, after a bath and dinner, he visited a cat who was a friend of his: that night some other friends at the town would gather there too. It was hard to fall asleep so early in the night, so people used to do this in order to wait until their eyes were heavy and had to go to bed.

They were in the cat's house until 11:00 pm. They mainly talked, but also played some games, naughty ones actually, which taught them more about the secrets of each other. Lucas spent that night getting closer to his feline friend. She was a cute orange striped cat; her fangs were a little longer than average which caused their tips to be visible at times. He found that characteristic cute. Her tail was shorter as well and had toned legs. Contrary to most women in town, she was independent, rarely asked favors, she rather like to do everything by herself, which attracted him too.

Once more the rock exercised its influence over the town. Only radios remained and just in specific places. Lamps were substituted by candles; few cars were left. Lucas' cistern turned into a well. The husky was affected by several changes as well. The amount of gray fur increased, so did his height and weight, now with 1.83m and 79kg of muscle plus some fat. His upper body developed considerably, especially arms and shoulders, which exploded in strength. Hands enlarged, tendons become thicker, so did bones, but they were covered by layers of tendons and meat. Chest expanded forward as the back grew laterally. Now the husky looked more like a hybrid of dog and wolf. His factions hardened: jaw became squarer while eyebrows thickened with dark hair and a short, but thick beard, grew around it.

It was his stomach that woke him up, not the sun, even if it was almost 8:00 am. Lucas grunted, yawned and stretched his body before leaving the bed, then, after peeing, he went directly to the kitchen to prepare his breakfast, which had to be as big as possible to sustain him through work until lunch. So he fried three eggs, four slice of bacon, drank a jar of pure cow milk and a couple of slice of bread with butter. Yet he packed some sandwiches to eat a "frugal" meal before lunch. Once he broke fast, he cleaned himself, dressed up, picked up his axe and headed to work to the local forest.

It was a hard work what he had to do every day except for weekends. As he was one of the biggest men in town, Lucas worked in the chopping team. They usually cut ten to twenty trees a day, if they found a really big one that number could be reduced. Relationships among the rest of his coworkers were fine, as they usually hanged out to the local tavern to have some beers or even some drinks of whiskey.

Most of his coworkers were men, big men, the smallest of them could easily lift a log of wood as long as an average man, however, there was a cat lady who also worked with them. Lucas remembered the first time she entered to work: all men laughed considerably and commanded her to go to the kitchen where she belonged. It did not last much, as she punched the face of a bear-man that put him on the ground in an instant.

"Who else wants a taste?" she asked defiantly to all men around, flexing one of her arms, the one she used to punch the bear. Lucas had never seen a bicep that big in a woman. He remembered being that strong when he was a teenager. Even though most people were aware that women in the countryside were stronger than those in the city, he had never seen one as strong as her.

Catlyn, that was her name, was one of the fastest lumberjacks in the company. She could cut down a tree in half an hour. She had also a great resistance to alcohol, no one had ever seen her drunk before, not even at parties where people usually had drinking contests. She said she came from a family with a long tradition of lumberjacks, as she was the only child her parents had and since early age she was interested in the family business, her father taught her.

"You better focus on that tree" Ethan said to Lucas with a smile on his face "I don't think she'll be interested on a dead dog" he joked.

Lucas cheeks reddened. It looked like everybody was aware of his interest toward Catlyn. She, for work, wore a pair of trousers and a shirt, loose enough to be comfortable when moving around the forest, but tight enough to give a glance to what it hid. She had strong meaty legs, wide hips and a huge rear to grab -if she lets you do it-. Her waist was narrow, while breasts round, not too big or too small. Tail was shorter than average felines he had seen before and fangs were conspicuous, which gave her a menacing expression.

"You should ask her for a date" Ethan, a lizard-rooster hybrid, suggested. Lucas was not so sure about what really was his friend. He had feathers, but not too many, plus, they were short. He was taller than most birds, even than Lucas himself. He had a long tail and powerful legs and most of his body was covered in a mixture of feathers and scales, he also had sharp teeth, which was unlikely for a bird. Ethan was probably the second strongest man in the team.

"Do you think that?" Lucas was dubious "I don't know where to take her, she's not like most girls around".

"That's better, dude!" Ethan cheered him up "She's more like us than anyone else, you have more chances to choose a place both would like".

"Do you think she's going to like me?" this was the first time Lucas felt so insecure. Actually he was known as a danger to unmarried girls, for he always conquered them.

"How the hell she's not gonna like you, man?" Ethan laughed "You're the most handsome guy in miles!"

"Ok, ok" Lucas replied "I will ask her tomorrow".

Ethan patted him on the shoulders and continued working.

Lucas returned home after drinking some cups with his colleagues. He took a long bath to clean himself from all the sweat he accumulated during the long day, then he boiled some potatoes (enough to fill a dish) and a cooked a steak as big as his hand, later, he went to bed, thinking about what he would do next day, though it did not take long, for he fell asleep in an instant.

Houses shrank considerably when the influence of the meteorite increased to its highest levels. They turned into huts made of wood and straw, with a central hole in the roof over the fire that burnt in the center of the hut. Tools simplified and become like those used in the Stone age. Lucas' axe turned into a stone axe, while spears, arrows and bows were added to his inventory.

Lucas de-evolved further back. His height and weight increased to 2.10m and 195kg of pure muscle. His fur became completely gray, with darker and larger hair sprouting over his torso from his crotch to his pecs, which grew into a pair of mounds that irradiated virility as well as strength, while three pairs of abdominal muscles appeared like bricks over his belly. Arms and legs enlarged, becoming so enormous that he was capable of destroying a watermelon by just squishing it between his limbs. He had become so strong that veins were visible through the fur that covered his skin. Neck thickened to match quickly the muscled figure under it, shoulders widened, he could no longer fit in a normal door anymore. Lucas' face also suffered the changes of his body: jaw enlarged and hardened into a block, eyebrows thickened and mingled into one, while the upper part of his ocular orbits projected forward, giving him a brutish look. Clothes reduced to loincloths, boots and some coats for colder days. He was no longer a husky, or even a proper wolf, but a dire wolf.

"Hungry" was the first word he grunted when he woke up. There were still some leftovers from last night: a boar he had hunted. He took them with bare hands and bit them with his long fangs, chewing the meat until nothing was left, but the bone, which he also ate.

"More food" he grunted "for me and for Cat" He grabbed his spear and arrows and left the hut to go into the forest.

"Boar won't be enough; an aurochs would be better" he considered. Lucas ate a lot and he despise to be left hungry, he always ate until satisfaction. He also knew that Catlyn would behave the same. She was a strong woman who sometimes participated in hunts with the rest of the men, she even had gone to war.

The forest extended far in the distance, where sight could barely reach, yet he was aware that beyond it was a prairie, so aurochs should be moving between those terrains. He entered the forest with caution, sniffing carefully to catch the scent of an aurochs' pack. Wet soil, trees, flowers, dirt, birds, small beasts... each smell of the wood was easily detected and classified by his potent nose. As he went deeper, more smells appeared, yet he was focused in finding only one.

"Hey" a familiar voice distracted him. Lucas turned his head where the voice came, finding his trusted friend, a large T. rex. Ethan was one of the few dinosaurs left, he was the tallest man in the village too. Brown scales covered his body, legs as thick as tree trunks held his muscular body while the arms were massive, yet short.

"Morning" replied Lucas.

"What do you have in mind" asked the prehistoric reptile.

"Aurochs"

"All for yourself?" Ethan was aware of the big appetite of hid canine friend, one that competed with his own "Isn't it too much?"

"I'll have company" explained Lucas.

Ethan smiled maliciously "Is it what I think it is?"

"Yup"

Ethan hugged his friend strongly.

"Finally, man" he said to him "Then I'll leave you, I guess you want to impress her, so you won't accept much help"

Lucas nodded, both friends took separate ways.

One hour after his entry into the wood, Lucas finally got some tracks. Before him lied a print, he threw himself to the ground to "sniff" into it. It was fresh, he even found more signs of the previous presence of the beast later: more tracks, broken branches on the floor, eaten leaves. After having memorized the scent, he tracked the aurochs through the forest. It was a long walk until he found it eating in a clear. Lucas got closer carefully, watching to not break anything which could warn the animal. His stomach was already growling and he was not in the mood for a race. Sadly, the aurochs turned back his head where Lucas was hidden, and, knowing it would be killed, ran away into the forest. Lucas roared angrily, but soon he put himself on the pursuit.

The beast was enormous, horns were as big as his two arms extended, maybe more, and was as tall as Lucas was.

When you're dead you'll be a feast Lucas thought, saliva drooled out of the muzzle when he imagined all the meat he would enjoy after killing that animal.

He threw his spear, which hit one of the legs, this caused it to slow down and almost falling to the ground. Lucas took that chance and jumped over him, stabbing his claws and fangs in the flesh. The aurochs tried to fight, shaking his back to try to release himself from the hunter, but the dire wolf was strong and tenacious. He continued deepening the wound of the neck until his fangs reached the aorta, in order to kill the bovine through bleeding.

When he felt blood going out at high pressure, he released the aurochs, not without taking with him a piece of its neck. The aurochs moved in pain, it ran some more before collapsing into the ground. Lucas got closer, spear in hand, the beast still struggled for its life, so he put an end to its suffering by stabbing the spear once more. After checking out it had died, he grabbed it from the legs and put it on his shoulders to carry it to Cat's hut. It was heavy, but he did not complain.

He found the saber-tooth female on his way to the hut, it looked like she was going to hunt for her lunch.

"Brought you this" he said after putting down the aurochs "Wanna eat it with me?"

The feline inspected the animal that was blocking her way to the forest, it looked good and healthy.

"Sure" she answered "Flay it and clean it, then go to my hut to cook it".

Lucas grunted to confirm, Catlyn went back to her hut to prepare a fire and grab some spices, Lucas stayed there and, with a stone knife he always carried, he began with the task. Then, using the skin itself, he dragged it where Cat was. She did not lose time, she covered the meat with the herbs she had brought, put it on a stick, then to the fire until fat was licking and meat cooked. Both of them sat around the fire, Lucas cut a leg with his bare hands, Catlyn another, both ate eagerly.

"Tasty" Lucas said without stopping chewing a piece of meat.

"Good hunt" the saber-tooth replied.

"I had to" the dire wolf admitted.

"Oh... did you tried to impress me?" she asked with a cocky look.

"Obviously" he replied "I like you".

"So confident" she stated.

"Who do you take me for?" he spilled some chewed meat on the floor.

"For a big dire wolf who hunts well" That last statement eased the wolf who continued eating until satisfied. There was enough food for the night, even for the next morning, left.

"So..." Catlyn got closer to the dire wolf who did not take his eyes from her, only to take pieces of meat "What else are you good at?"

Lucas did not hesitate to what the saber-tooth was insinuating, so he grabbed her from the shoulders and gave her a deep kiss. She did not resist, quite the opposite, she paid him back.

"Need another proof, kitty?"

"You smell so nice" the saber-tooth was delighting his nose with the musk mixed with fat, blood and dirt that covered the dire wolf's body.

"So do you" he answered back, sniffing the neck of the feline "I bet you taste better" he threw her to the floor and locked her between his strong arms. It was summer, so she did not wear many clothes, actually, she was almost naked. He kissed her neck slowly, while she massaged his back, he went down to the round breasts she had, touched her nipples, then licked them, even sucked them, she moaned and tried to do the same with his.

"I think I'm hungry of something juicier" he said as he continued his travel down her torso, kissing, petting, sucking and licking the athletic body she possessed. He stopped by her navel to savor it, then continued to her crotch. She opened the legs enough for him to fit perfectly between them. Lucas set apart the major and minor lips and sniffed the feminine fragrance that emanated from it; it was enough to make him hard, but he resisted the temptation of putting his dick inside. He licked it instead, first the borders, then the clitoris, he did it softly.

"Ah!" she moaned from time to time, bit her lower lip and squeezed her nipple. Lucas deepened inside her vagina, licking each part of it with his long canine tongue, almost reaching the uterine neck.

"Don't stop" she commanded him as she twisted in pleasure.

"I will when I'm full" he said "Your count is tasty" he continued his labor, now adding the fingers to increase the amount of pleasure by rubbing the edges of the vagina. The smell was so intense he even started to drip pre, she was as wet as him too.

"I'm coming in" he said when he put his head away, still with fluids (a mixture of saliva and vaginal lubricant) drooling from his tongue. His long thick cock had no problems in getting inside, both of them were well lubricated.

He moved back and forward steadily, the breasts of hers move in synchrony. So they stayed for some instant, but he got bored of this position, so he grabbed her from the legs and lifted her lower part of the body from the floor. She locked herself around his waist with the legs, the penetration went deeper.

"So strong!" she moaned.

"This is nothing" he panted and then lifted her completely from the floor, letting her ass to rest on his arms and stood up, legs resisting the weight of two bodies. Both lover wrapped themselves in a passionate hug. Lucas continued his work, panting and grunting with each move, sometimes he even bit her neck, she did the same too, nipples were so closed that they rubbed each other with the moves of the couple, producing waves of pleasure.

"I'm coming!" she yelled.

"So do I" he roared and a big load of semen filled the womb of the tigress. They stayed without bare moving, just padding, for a while, enjoying the intense orgasm that ran through their bodies. Lucas put her to the ground, then sat and lied over the grass, she cuddled him.

"You passed" she said. He kissed her in reply.
