#4 of The Perpetual Oasis

Four days passed since Anfang first fell into his distressingly extended period of rest. Kieshou was trying to pass the time by drawing pictures on the walls of the grotto. She collected some colorful berries a short while ago, which turned out to make an excellent paint. The self-appointed caretaker had been growing more painfully unoptimistic with each passing day, and this was the only thing she could do to keep her mind from suffering. All day long she would create magnificent works; some of them landscapes she encountered each day, like the breath-taking field of flowers. Some of them were simply portraits. She was currently putting the finishing touches on a portrait of her brother.

She sighed, "Everyone I ever loved, everyone that's ever come into contact with me has...."

Kieshou felt tears beginning to well in her eyes as she thought of how hopeless it all seemed. How could anyone come survive after such relentless pummeling? Was she going to have to face the world by herself once more? Finding food was no longer a problem for her, but now she feared she would have to leave this paradise. There was no way she could stay in this place. She set down the brush on a rock next to her and looked over to where Anfang was still lying, motionless.

"Why did you have to go and be a hero? How could you leave me like this?" Kieshou whimpered.

The pain was too much for her, and she began to cry. She stood up slowly, and walked out of the hollow, no longer able to bear the sight of her fallen ally.

When the sun finally rose the next day, Kieshou awoke the same as always. Happy at first, but soon remembering the comatose state of her companion. She had moved her bed that first night, so she would be right next to him when he came to. It never happened though, and this morning was no different from the rest. However, seeing that the gashes on his chest were healing gave her a little hope.

The lupine had been dreaming of his childhood. The dream was so detailed that it felt real, and it seemed like he was home again. He sparred with his siblings as his father and mother watched on from the mouth of the den. All of his brothers and sisters were playfully biting and pouncing on one another. They laughed and wrestled until they couldn't wrestle any longer. Then his parents came down from their place of rest and cleaned the cubs off. They licked each one of their offspring tenderly, until they were all spotless. Anfang was so happy to see all of his family again that he began weeping with joy.

"Do not cry my son...." his father said proudly. "I too am glad......I am glad to see that you are alright....but I am afraid you cannot stay here with us any longer."

"But why? I don't want to be alone papa!" the young pup sobbed.

"What are you saying? Did you forget already? You have someone that needs you to come back to her. Someone that loves you. Do not be afraid my son...This is not the last time we shall meet. We will all be together again someday, but it is still too soon."

"No...don't leave....father...."

Kieshou was rubbing Anfang's soft furry head, when suddenly she saw a tear run down his face. She leapt back in surprise, covering her mouth with a paw as she gasped. Then she saw his lips opening, and heard him trying to mumble something strange.

"Father....I don't want to....please father...." he muttered.

Kieshou still couldn't believe what was happening. His entire body started writhing as he spoke....Anfang was finally coming to. The raccoon crouched down at his side, propping his body against hers.

"That's it.......you have to get up. I just knew you would be strong enough to pull through this."

His eyes slowly began opening, and a shadowy figure started coming into focus.

"Mother? Is that you?" he stammered.

"No Anfang, it's me."

"Huh.....Kieshou? Is that you?"

"That's right, it's me. You almost died, but you're okay now."

"I almost...."

"Don't try to talk right now....you have to save your energy, or you might pass out again."

Kieshou laid the wolf down onto his mat, and grabbed some soft branches to rest his head upon. She walked across the cave and fetched the water jug, still full from the trip she made that morning. She kneeled down beside him again, and pulled the stopper from it's opening as she began to explain what had happened.

"You should try and drink some of this. You've been asleep for almost five days now, and your body is probably dehydrated."

"Five days? Has it really been that long?" he asked in a raspy voice.

"Just drink. We'll have plenty of time to talk about this later."

She pressed the flask to his cracked lips, and allowed her friend to drink.

"That should be enough. You're conscious and that's good, but you still have a long time before you'll be fully recovered."

She kissed the top of his head, then pulled a small stump over to sit on. They both looked at each other for a while, set at ease by the realization they were finally together again.

It took a few more weeks before Anfang was able to get up and walk around without Kieshou's help. Still it wasn't long before he was back to his normal old self again. Nothing seemed to be broken, and all of his wounds were pretty much healed over. Kieshou was standing in front of an outcropping in the wall that they used to prepare food on. She was fixing dinner for the two of them, and the lupine was laying down in his bed.

"Hey Kieshou." He said, looking around at all the murals.

"What is it?"

"Did you draw all of these while I was asleep?"

"Yes, I did......do you like them?"

"Yeah, they're great. Is that one a picture of Miroshi?"

Kieshou turned to the portrait of her brother, "I painted that the very day before you woke up. I miss him so much....." her voice trailed off.

Anfang walked up behind the woeful raccoon, and put his paws on her waist.

"Don't be sad. I'm sure Miroshi's in a better place. He's probably looking down on us now, and he's probably really happy to see that his sacrifice wasn't in vain."

Kieshou turned to the lupine, finally able to embrace her sympathizer without the fear of injuring him.

"Don't ever leave me like that again!" she cried.

Anfang just held her, thinking it a little strange that someone could carry such strong emotion, having met only a short while ago.

"I thought maybe I had caused you to die......like I did my....."

"Don't talk like that! It wasn't your fault that bear came into your camp and started making trouble. I told you before. Your brother had a choice, and he chose to protect you by giving his own life. He knew you weren't both about to escape that night. It took a lot of courage to do what he did......as for me, I was just being foolish."

"At the time, I thought you were being foolish as well....but, I think I know why you did it."

"Really? Why then?"

"Because you wanted to protect me as well."

Anfang blushed under his dark grey fur, sheepishly scratching his ears with a paw.

Kieshou pulled her head from his shoulder and gazed into his sapphire colored eyes, "You don't have to say it, I already know how you feel........I love you too Anfang."

He stopped blushing a little, and he smiled down at her. He wondered how something so good could just wander into his life like this. Was it always meant to be?

Kieshou started to notice a distant look in his eyes, "What are you thinking about?"

"I was thinking....about how lucky I am to have met you. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me."

"But...how can that be, I've caused you so much trouble."

"That may be so, but you've already more than made up for it."

Kieshou looked a little puzzled for a moment, before realizing just what he meant.

"I haven't made up for this last bit of trouble you know."

This time, Anfang was the one with the perplexed look on his face.

"Oh, now I get....."

But before he could finish his sentence, Keishou had already drawn the lupine's lips to her own. This kiss was long and passionate, like always. It seemed the two of them were only able to fully express their love for one another after times of long separation. It wasn't exactly what they wanted, but the time apart always made for one hell of an explosion.

Anfang's paws slid down to the raccoon's firm butt, squeezing it gently. Feeling his big, strong hands on her backside really turned her on. She wrapped one of her long, slender legs around the lupine. Then she started grinding into his package, her soft underside writhing up and down on Anfang's growing sheathe. It didn't take long before the entire length of his member was rubbing against Kieshou's stomach. He clenched his paws tightly on her cheeks, raising her up off the ground, and bringing her down slowly until it was just inside of her.

"You're so warm." he said as he began to ease the tip inside of her.

"Ooohh.....you're so big." she giggled.

Both of Kieshou's legs were now wrapped around the canine's body, forcing more of him inside as they tightened their grip. Anfang started lifting her off his shaft a little, letting her weight slowly push it back in. He was now fully erect and hard at work, but still, something else caught his attention. It was Kieshou's breasts, and they were heaving wildly with each thrust he made. He was hypnotized for a moment, but only for a moment, and he started lapping at them with his long tongue. Kieshou was squealing loudly each time the large organ re-entered her. She couldn't believe the same wolf that couldn't even walk just a few weeks ago was now so full of power.

"Uuuh.....ooh....harder....uuuhhhh....." she said between squeaks.

Anfang's eyes grew large as he heard her demands, but did as he was told. He started letting his cock slide all the way out, so that just the tip remained inside, then he dropped the raccoon and thrust back in at the same time. His pace was speeding up too, and his baseball-sized knot was making loud slapping sounds as it slowly stretched Kieshou's opening. His muzzle was once again buried in her chest, but now he was nibbling and sucking on her hard nipples.

"Oooh....yes....yes....oooooooohhhh." she moaned.

Her body shivered, and a strong feeling of ecstasy overwhelmed her senses. Her orgasm was so powerful that she actually pulled Anfang's knot into her as she came. He growled with pleasure as he felt his entire cock entering her tight, wet pussy. Kieshou yelped loudly, reaching a plateau of excruciating pain mixed with extreme pleasure. Anfang was still pumping her hard, but was now tied to her, all of his nine inches deep inside. Even with the limited movement, the slightest friction on his knot was giving off more sensation than ever. A few short moments later, he started to feel dizzy and lightheaded. He stumbled over to the side of the cave, still pounding away, and pressed Kieshou against the cold rock wall as he came. Kieshou didn't seem to mind, she still hadn't recovered from her own physical bliss, but she snapped back to reality when wave after wave of hot cum rushed out of Anfang, causing a second orgasm to tear through her. The two howled in unison until the canine's hips finally stopped lunging forward, and his body started to relax. They both breathed heavily as the two slowly lifted their heads, gazing lovingly at one another.

"Thank.....you.....Anfang." the raccoon panted.

"For...what?"

"For.....for not leaving me."

"I should...be the one thanking you for not leaving."

"I would never leave you." she cooed.

Kieshou smiled, and Anfang kissed her, still holding her in his arms. He carried her over to the large pile of brush that now made up the only bed in the hollow. Still tied together, the two laid in each other's arms. Kieshou was so tired from the exertion that she was soon asleep.

"Don't worry.....we're always going to be together." he whispered.

He laid his head down on the makeshift pillow and closed his eyes, but was still too rested to take a nap. He was just glad to see that Kieshou was no longer filled with worry, and could rest easy for a change.

A couple of hours later, an exhausted Kieshou was still fast asleep, and Anfang was surveying the fresh coat of paint on the walls. He noticed a well-drawn rendering of himself, chuckling a little as he studied it. The painting depicted him diving off of that same rock at the top of the falls.

"I guess she found a way to get me up there." he snickered.

Kieshou yawned and stretched her legs, rolling over to face the seemingly amused lupine.

"What's got you so happy?" she questioned, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

Anfang pointed a finger at his mural, "I like it....you really captured the emotion of my dive."

She scowled at the sarcasm, and gave him a strong shove to the back.

"No, I'm being serious though, it's great." he said.

"Really?"

"I mean, it's so well done."

"Thanks."

Anfang nodded, then laid back on the bed, resting his head in his arms, "So.....well, I've been thinking....."

"About what?"

"When that bear attacked us.....I didn't realize that any other creatures lived nearby. Now that I'm all healed up, I think it might be a good idea to go for a little hike."

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about, checking to see if maybe we aren't the only one's living in this valley. I don't want another incident like that happening again."

"You mean you're leaving? Now? You just recovered!"

"I know.....but I should at least check around a little......next time we might not be so lucky."

Kieshou frowned and gave him a sad look that said "please don't go".

"Don't do that, I'm serious. I won't be gone for long."

"I don't care, I'm not about to sit around here by myself, worrying again. If you have to go......then I'm coming with you."

To be continued.....
