The Wisdom of the Book

Dulcinea has a hard time sleeping at night, so she goes for a walk in the empty streets of San Lorenzo. Hoping to find some wisdom on better sleep in her favourite book, The Wee Compendium of Facts and Funne, she discoveres a whole new section with ... very unappropriate content.

(This story was a small idea i had one morning and i proceeded to write it down over a short time. I am not a native English-speaker and this is kinda my first upload (in English), so i welcome helpfull critiques and other comments!)

I wrote this story together mostly on a weekend morning with no reason to get out of bed. Besides i felt like there is a horrible lack of stories based around The Adventures of Puss in Boots, the spin-off series. I am planning on a part two, read more down below! Thanks for coming here and i hope you enjoy!

_________

The moonlight shined over San Lorenzo, illuminating the small town on the magic mountain. The dim silvery light also passed through many windows and onto the faces of the sleeper in their beds. Some were snoring, others mumbling towards a new tomorrow. Tonight, sleeping was a bit different for the two felines in town however, at least compared to all others. The legendary, heroic Puss in Boots was tossing around in his sleep, his paw stretching out as if he was fighting thieves. Even in sleep the ginger was the protector of San Lorenzo and if dream-thieves attacked, someone had to defend the other sleeper from the vile robbers! "no one will steal others dreams again ...", Puss mumbled in between tossing. "This I s-swear!"

Dulcinea, the wise teacher of the town also tossed around in her bed. However, it was not because of dreams, but because she couldn't sleep. The white furred cat turned around again and looked at the clock on her night table. 1 hour after midnight. Sighing the feline let her eyes wander around the room to find something that might help her sleep if she just looked at it long.

The moonlight shining through the cracks of the window shutters would maybe work. It was so silvery, looked so nicely on the floorboards ... and when it would be gone, the great day would begin! Dulcinea let out a frustrated sigh. She just could not unfix herself from tomorrow! But it was the day Guy Fox was coming to San Lorenzo after all! The great and elegant hero of all these true stories! In honesty Dulcinea wondered, why anyone around town could sleep, when the next day would bring the fierce foxy adventurer to talk about his amazing life of adventure and exploits ...

"No, no! Stop thinking about it!", the feline told herself. She had been thinking about it ever since the letter from Guy arrived a few days back. There simply had to be a way to close her eyes and sleep or else she wouldn't see Guy tomorrow. Or even fall asleep while he read from his book and, and ... snore! Dulcinea bit her lip and her ears folded at the embarrassing thought.

She tossed yet again, but on her back this time, throwing her arms to each side with a frustrated "Mmmmph!" There had to be some way to get to sleep at last!

Looking around the room again, her eyes spotted The Wee Compendium of Facts and Funne, the all-knowing and wise book, that she based her life on, lying on her night table. 'Of course! Why didn't I think of that before?', she thought. Sitting up, her paws grabbed the book and opened it up. She browsed through various rhymes and life-wisdoms, but she didn't find any sleep-related that she hadn't tried yet: Finding a different sleeping-position, trying to keep your eyes open until they fall shut by themselves, etc. etc.

There just had to be something! The white furred paws turned page after page, with Dulcinea mumbling the rhymes as they passed. And then she reached the end of the book. The last page had a small picture of The Book itself on it. "If good and happy you want to be, use this book's wisdom, it's for free!", was written below. "More like three, ninty.", Dulcinea chuckled. Her face turned sad again, when she turned that last page over and was greeted by empty space.

With a sad mewl, she let The Book sink on her legs. It had always helped her find her way, so why not now? "So it's back to tossing and turning ...", she mumbled with her ears drooped. But when the feline went to close to the book, she noticed something under her paw. There was a certain thickness to the back of the book, she never noticed before. Upon further inspection she noticed that the brown paper on cardboard wasn't as sturdy as it seemed. Something was in between there and the cardboard!

With renewed interest, Dulcinea fumbled with the paper and it was easy to rip. The first ripping sound almost made her abandon her interest, since she didn't want to damage the book. The feline closed her eyes, grabbed the edge of the page, and pulled. A long and terrible ripping sound later, the feline dared to look again.

In between paper and cardboard was a bundle of pages, overwritten with "Additional advice and wisdoms by Isabella M#####o." Dulcinea blinked. This was not written by Miguela Adante? How did this get in here? The authors last name was sadly unreadable disfigured by a large ink spot.

"Why was this hidden here?", Dulcinea asked herself as she turned the first page. The drawings were in a different style compared to the rest of the book, more like sketches then actual drawings. The text also wasn't printed but handwritten.

The first page showed a picture of a moon shining through a window. The text below read: "If in the night you cannot sleep, take a walk out on the street."

Dulcinea slapped herself on the forehead. Why didn't she think of that herself? After all Puss sometimes did it. Of course, he wouldn't admit to not being able to sleep. The ginger called it "Late night patrol."

Putting the book down, Dulcinea climbed out of the bed and quickly changed into her everyday clothes. She grabbed the book before leaving. Maybe there were some other wisdoms to help her out. The feline was careful to walk lightly, after all the orphans (and Siniora Zapata!) were sleeping close by. Waking Siniora Zapata was a big mistake that Puss accidentally made one night and no one wanted to relief that horrifying experience again!

When the white cats high leather boots stepped on the cobblestones outside, her fine pink nose inhaled the fresh night air and relaxed her a bit more already. It was still summer and as such this night's air was warm and quite pleasant.

With the door closed behind her, Dulcinea dared to breath in deeply and relax even more. With the danger of awakening a terrible fury gone, the feline could now pace her steps normally towards the fountain. It was turned off each night and the water in the basin didn't move and was as silent as the rest of San Lorenzo.

Walking on the nightly streets felt very different to the noisy and populated ones during the day. With everybody sleeping in their beds, Dulcinea felt like she owned the streets. This was her San Lorenzo tonight and no one broke the silent spell that lasted over everything. It all gave Dulcinea a warm feeling inside her, knowing that she had every corner to herself and that no one would disturb her. She loved everyone in the town, but sometimes it could get a bit much handling the playing Orphans, Puss' daily set of new ideas (that had brought everyone near extinction more often than she would have liked) and of course everyone else in town at once. All that was washed away right now by peace on the streets and only the noises of someone snoring deeply from a non-shut window.

However, despite all this tranquillity, there was one problem: It didn't make Dulcinea sleepy! On the contrary it filled her head with more thoughts about how abuzz the town would be tomorrow with Guy Fox coming! Frustrated, the cat stopped at a corner and opened the book in her paws again. Maybe there was another wisdom to help her tonight ...

The next few pages seemed concerned with more, well, romantic advice on how to court a lady. Dulcinea couldn't help but think of a certain ginger tomcat and quickly skipped past the pages, not wanting to think about that topic at the moment.

The next set of rhymes turned towards stress relief. 'Certainly, there is something here that can help me.', the feline thought to herself. However most of the advice would probably not be as helpful, as she had hoped: standing on one's head, dancing, singing or playing games with friends would not help her fall asleep better. Well, yes, the exhaustion would, but she didn't want to wake any of the other people in town by singing.

The next rhyme caught Dulcineas attention however:

"If your feeling stress too much, give yourself a nice good touch."

She blinked. Did the book just? No. It wouldn't be that easy, would it?

"Well, it can't hurt to try I guess.", the white cat murmured. Stretching her arm out, she gave her fur a patting. Nothing. Trying again with her cheek or the top of her head didn't bring different results. It did make her feel nice to be patted, but didn't really solve her problem.

"It did seem a bit too easy to be true ...", the feline admitted and turned the page.

Dulcinea blinked in disbelief at the next page. Blood ran into her cheeks so much, that the blush was visible despite her soft fur.

"If you can't sleep in the night, rub one in to feel alright."

T-the picture ... it showed ..., Dulcinea blinked, inappropriate things! The lady was shown with her skirt rolled up and her hands ...

No, nonono, this must be an error in the book! Dulcinea quickly turned the page to get away from this ... stuff. But the next page didn't give her any relief:

"To get quickly in the mood, playing with your breast is good." Also featuring similar graphic illustrations, the white cat only turned the page faster. However, things didn't get any better and with each rhyme and picture things got more and more inappropriate.

In embarrassment Dulcinea became careless and maybe a bit of shock also played into it, but she dropped the book from her paws. The sound of the Wee Compendium of Facts and Funne falling on the street seemed to be the loudest noise, which the cat ever heard. She pressed herself against the wall behind her, fearing that a light would turn on and people would wake up. Looking around however, nothing moved.

The white feline stared at the open book. How could these pages, that were so helpful and friendly, that one could base their life on them be so ... so .... Like this! Well, the book was sometimes odd, but over all these years, Dulcinea would have never suspected to carry something like that around with her all day!

Daring to breathe again, the cat got off the wall and tried to calm herself. Of course, these ... things she'd seen were a part of life, as was marriage and having children. But with the innocence of the orphans around, she didn't think about either of these topics a lot. There would be a time to speak with them about such more serious matters, but that would be years off from now.

The only thing that had made her think (only once!) of marriage and the whole thing that came with it was ... um ... (Dulcinea blushed a bit.) Puss.

Looking at the open pages of the book again, Dulcinea took a few deep breaths. "These things are normal!", she said to herself. "T-there is nothing to be embarrassed about here." The open pages seemed frightening suddenly. Could she take the book and just not think about the other pages in the back?

Making a decision, Dulcinea face changed into one of sternness. "No! Don't be afraid of it! Being brave does not mean that fears have you none. It means you face up to your fears and do what must be done.", she quoted a phrase from the Andante-section of the Compendium. But what did that entail to here and now? To throw out these new pages or to keep them? Or should she ...

No, nonono! Don't think about it!

And why not? It's a normal part of life. The book even calls it "stress-relief"!

B-but its so ... unsuitable.

Why? Because you never tried it?

I ... um ...

Maybe because you never had the room or interest to do so until now? With the orphans sleeping next to your room and no quiet place around the house?

W-well ...

Dulcinea bit her lip and looked around on the floor. Why did she never try it?

Maybe we can find a quiet place around here? Everyone is asleep, there should be something around where you can ... face your fears.

O-ok...

The white feline made sure to step extra lightly, fearing that anyone woken up by her walking would immediately sense her lewd intentions. It was still hard to think about it without blushing under her fur, especially with the book clutched to her chest. The one book, that she didn't expect to hold such ... topics. Despite her decision, Dulcinea was still unsure what to think of all of this. On the one paw it was a normal and natural part of life, but on the other a very inappropriate and unusual thing to herself. The cat-lady who feared showing more fur was surely none to be forward or even thinking about such topics.

She reached the main plaza again with the treasure-house to the left, Artephius' shop adjacent to it and then the orphanage close by. For a brief moment, Dulcinea thought of going to the small garden behind the Orphanages giant boot-shaped form, but quickly discarded the idea. What if the children saw her? That would be a disaster! There had to be another place for her.

Looking around the feline spotted The Cow and the Moone, the one and only Inn run by a Scottish cow. There was a small garden behind that building too! Moving to the narrow alley, that led to said garden, Dulcinea made sure to stay near the house's walls, so she wouldn't be seen as easily.

The alleyway between the cantina and the adjacent house was not illuminated by the moonlight or a lantern. While slowly walking along the narrow passage, Dulcinea thought she heard a door open close by and pressed herself flat against the wall. "Please don't see me. please don't see me!", she whispered. But the moment went by as quickly as it came. Despite the door sound, nothing else pointed towards someone awake being close by.

After a few more steps, the white feline reached the backyard-garden of the cantina. It was easy to open the small gate and enter the small yard. An old oak stood in the middle of the grassy ground, surrounded by bushes and flowers. A few tables and benches stood around for customers during the warmer days. The garden was fenced in on two sides by the stone walls of the inn, one side was the tall wooden fence and the outer wall of the towns ring, like a balcony.

Dulcinea slipped inside the compound and over to the tree and bushes. She looked up to the window upstairs, but luckily there was no light or any other sign of someone being awake. If she kept quiet and kept her attention up a bit, this should make just the nice and undisturbed place, she would need.

Leaning against the tree, the white feline dared to breath normal again. She couldn't remember being stressed so much after a small walk like that.

Even more reason to give it a try, don't you think? They book spoke of "stress-relief".

Dulcinea blushed under her fur. The felines mind wandered to the things she'd seen in the book, the things that she knew from biology books.

Shhh, it's alright to think about it. How about you sit against that tree and you look at this book again, mh?

The cat nodded to herself and slowly began to slide down against the tree until her petite bottom touched the soft gras. She dared to look at the Compendium, which had been clutched to her breast since he began walking down the alleyway.

It looked so innocent, so unassuming. Once she turned the last page however, she was eye to eye again with the ... drawings again, that made her white face become oh so red.

Taking another deep breath, Dulcinea faced down the lewd drawings and rhymes. If it really could help her sleep better and relief some stress it be worth it. Besides, facing up to your fears is what to do; the wisdom of the Book!

A white paw began to roam the felines dress and true to the book's description, rubbing her bosom did send new and not unpleasant feelings down her spine.

A new world of feelings was opened up to Dulcinea, who had sometimes read hints about sexual pleasure in books, but never tried to feel any of it. All of that pleasure ran through the white cats body and warmed her up from inside. Blood pumped through her small body as her excitement grew.

O-ok... here goes nothing... She spread her legs and shy paws pulled the long dress up, exposing Dulcineas high boots and her furred thighs to the starlight. Her eyes and the silent moon's fell on her dark-pink panties.

Oh my...

Anxious to carry on, Dulcinea shifted against the tree to ease her seat and get more access to ... down there. A delicate paw slowly travelled over her soft thighs, untouched by paws except for washings and came ever so closer to the adorable undergarments of the white feline.

All other noises and influence around her stepped into the background for Dulcinea. She was too anxious to feel, whatever the book had promised her. The white furry paw touched the pale-pink fabric of her panties, slowly stroking upwards. A shiver ran through her small body.

The simple touch elicited a moan out of her half-opened muzzle. It was not very audible, but Dulcinea fear got the better of her for a moment and she covered her mouth with her paws, fearing that the whole town would wake up now! But nothing of the likes happened: the people kept sleeping, no lights were lit or doors opened.

Dulcinea let her paws fall onto her thighs and sighed in relief. But the feeling she had caused by "touching yourself", as the book called it, didn't leave her unimpressed. Another soft stroke across her panties made the feline shiver once again and spread her legs more in the process, without thinking about it. How could such a simple touch make you want more of it so much?

After a few strokes, Dulcinea bit her lower up to not let any more moans out. She also felt like needing more, whatever that meant. For now she helped herself, by using both paws for rubbing her panties and ... her crotch beneath with both paws, so she could feel steady motion against her fur and skin.

Shivering, the cat closed her eyes and leaned her head back against the tree. Soft whimpers managed to escape her muzzle, even though she tried to keep them inside. Dulcinea dove into the new world she discovered when she intensified her rubs even more. A new sensation slowly added itself to her paws feeling the delicate fabric of her panties. Slowly but surely, she could feel wetness trough the cloth and against her fur.

With every stroke her body felt warmer and hotter, her spine and toes curled in the urge to feel more, move more to get more of that warm, fuzzy, tickly feeling between her thighs! And with each stroke, Dulcinea also began to realize, that it wouldn't be enough. In her pleasure-drunken mindset, the feline had forgotten where she was and that everyone, who would be awake could see her like this: leaning against a tree and masturbating. By now the animal's instincts in her were taking over and she almost didn't notice her one paw slipping under the hem of her undergarment and sliding it off. A few moments later, the pink panties were off her body and the softest paws in San Lorenzo had unlimited access to the most guarded place of Dulcinea; and maybe the whole town.

"Hnnng... Mnnnuff..." Moaning and huffing, Dulcineas paws played with the freshly revealed flower. In her current state, the paws acted on their own and explored every inch of that slit between her thighs. Wreathed by even more white fur then her usual body, the wet opening was spread, kneaded and brushed over with all the intensity that those delicate paws could muster.

One of her paws found the white felines clitoris and every touch, even the softest hairs of her paw against the fleshy nub made Dulcinea arch her back and moan out loud. Jolts of pleasure and lust flooded her body and brain as she kept rubbing her flower.

Dulcinea pressed her head against the bark of the tree she leaned against and let go of her lip-bite; now all the noises (some of them louder moans) she had repressed earlier freely flowed into the fresh night air. It almost sounded like a song.

Puss in Boots caught his rapier in the air and manged to land on the next pink cloud. In front of him, the evil Dreamstealer was about to escape with all the dreams of San Lorenzo! "You will not escape, or I will not be Puss in Boots!", the ginger yelled and used his boots to propel himself forward and into the fleeing ghosts back. "Haha! Take that vile a-thief!", Puss triumphantly proclaimed and was about to snatch the dreams out of the criminal's hands, when ...

Suddenly Puss was woken up and sat straight in his bed. Panicked by the thinking the dream was still real, Puss' eyes searched for the Dreamstealer, but found no thief in his room. Instead, the tomcat heard unusual noises from ... somewhere. It sounded like ... singing? Who would be singing this late in the night and in such a high tune? Drunkards yowling a song were usually deeper voiced than this.

Puss hoped out of the bed, grumbling to himself: "I was this close to catching the Dream-a-stealer..."

Without putting his signature boots on, the tomcat jumped on the window board towards the plaza and opened the windows. But neither did the noise come from the fountain or any of the houses there, nor could Puss see anyone with his heroic all-seeing eyes.

The ginger had more luck with the window facing the backyard garden. From this window, he could hear the "singing" more clearly, though it sounded like something different the longer he listened to it ... could that be...? "No, Puss do not be silly!", he told himself. However, despite hearing the sounds better, Puss could spot nothing or no one. "Well, if it is in the garden, I will find the source of it!" And thusly Puss in Boots grabbed his rapier and opened the door to the cantinas upper floor. "If it is a new evil a-thing that attacks San Lorenzo, I will vanquish it!", he declared to the empty cantina on his way down the stairs.

As he closed in on the door to the backyard, Puss was confronted with the question whether to kick the door open or to sneak outside. Kicking it open could scare away the noise-makers outside and of course wake up more people. Being quiet seemed like the better option here, despite the ginger feline preferring a dashing and daring entrance!

Puss in Boots made sure to tread lightly and to not let the door creak. Pajuna was a deep sleeper, but the few residents who also slept in the cantina weren't.

The mighty Puss in Boots' jaw dropped and his eyes bulged out.

He stared blankly at the white feline under the tree.

Dulcinea was just as shocked to see Puss looking at her in a state like this! Both cats couldn't move a muscle; Puss didn't lower his rapier, nor did Dulcinea move her paws away from her sex or close her legs to protect herself from The Furry-Lovers gaze.

Then the spell broke: Dulcinea immediately closed her open legs and laid to the side, so Puss couldn't see her most intimate place anymore. The ginger turned and let go of his rapier, which clattered to the ground as the feline casted his arm over his eyes.

"Oh I am terribly sorry!", he exclaimed, while stumbling backwards. "I ... I'm so sorry D-dulcinea!"

"N-no, its me who should be sorry!", Dulcinea replied hastily. Her claws trembled, when she pushed herself into a standing position again, using the tree for help. Despite not being as dramatic as Puss, the white feline stared intently at the ground to not look the other in the eye.

Both cats stood there, wanting to say more and more apologies, but also knowing that no word could make ... this unseen.

Dulcinea took a deep and shaky breath, before speaking up. "W-we should better get back into our beds ..." To emphasize her point, she collected Puss's rapier from the ground and held it towards him. "Here, y-you dropped this."

The ginger hero's eyes were still roaming the floor when he spotted something different. Awkwardly he bent down and picked up Dulcineas discarded pink-panties with two fingers, making sure his claws did not damage the delicate fabric.

"I um... uhum... and t-these belong to y-you ..." Puss didn't yet dare to face his love interest. The ginger fur on his cheeks was all the more flushed with red colour, since he had found Dulcineas panties on the ground. Puss could smell the ... odor the white felines loins had left on the pink fabric very well and he was happy to return it, before his hormones kicked in.

"T-thanks." Dulcineas answer was very shaky, fitting of her current state. She took the panties out of Puss' paw and held them in front of herself. Meanwhile the ginger took his rapier back, holding it in his right paw, aimlessly. Both felines could only look on the grassy ground, so they wouldn't have to look each other in the eye and could finally get out of this very awkward situation. Nor Dulcinea nor Puss found any words to say, there were no words wanted or needed right now.

"I um... I should get back to bed ...", Dulcinea tried to break the silence.

"Y-yes... m-me too ...", Puss found his shaky voice back to give a bland, but honest answer. "W-well I am going to go back i-inside. G-goodnight!"

Both of them turned and hastily walked their separate ways, trying not to look back.

A few seconds later...

Puss in Boots closed his rooms door with a sigh of relief and leaned against it. It all seemed like a dream ... a very awkward one. He buried his face in one paw. "Ohh, why did I have to walk out there and find out what was going on?"

"Why did I ever think, the cantina-garden would be a safe place for ... this?", Dulcinea whispered to herself, as she ran over to the orphanage. The adrenalin only faded once she had closed her rooms door behind her. It was not like the actual ... thing she did had felt bad. It had made her feel really good in fact. But when Puss saw her ... that was, so embarrassing! How could the two ever look each other in the eye again?

Thats it for part 1! The follow-up is already in the making, where Puss and Dulcinea resolve that tension built up here. ;3
