The moon, a beautiful symbol of both evil and benevolence whose spirits dance in a constant waltz of darkness and light. The spirits of the new moon and the full moon that dance this dance are known as Alcmene and her sister Ilandere. They who have been here since the birth of the moon and its rotation, one born of earth and sun and the other of earth and space, forever rule the forces of light and darkness. However, things between these two sisters were not always as peaceful as one would see now. In fact, eons ago, during the cosmic world between spirits and demons, these two split apart almost ripping apart the fragile balance of earth.

Ilandere had been courted by a kitsune demon, Arian. Ilandere was beginning to fall for the demon's constant wooing, which sent her sister into a rage.

"He is a demon! The very force we are fighting against. You cannot possibly be falling for him; all know him as a womanizer and a deceitful soul." Alcmene said in an attempt to sway her sister away.

Sadly, this only angered Ilandere who bit back with words that sunk Alcmene's heart, "I carry Arian's child."

Alcmene reeled from these words and with tears of quiet sorrow she opened the plane to Erebos, an eden that had once been for only spirits of benevolence but now was over ran by demons. The spirit of the new moon ventured forth to what she knew would be her death land.

She spent a year constantly fending off and killing as many demons as possible, her anger turned into destruction as strong as a typhoon birthed by the sea. In her wake bodies of demons torn to shreds and her clothing covered in the numerous colors demons bleed. This did not last; however, for one night on the full moon where she was her weakest she was cornered by a pack of feral demons. Each resembled some form of animal in their own sickly, abstract way.

"This is my death." She whispered before falling to her knee and spreading on her arms to offer her heart.

As the demons came closer a high pitched howl made the demons look to the sky only to have needles of poison rain down upon them. Like acid, the needles tore through their skin making them melt or disembody a limb. Suddenly, a large demon, as big as a male lion, landed in front of Alcmene. His fur was as pitch black as the everlasting night in Erebos, however white tipped his ears and his two tails. The demon that stood before her was a fox demon and when he opened his mouth needles of green toxin spewed out onto his enemies having the same effect as before. With his last attack what was left of the pack raced off and he turned to face her.

"I am Aygul, the black, two tailed, fox demon. Your life now belongs to me."

Alcmene looked into the eyes of her savior turned master and marveled at how blue his eyes were. They were like water and she almost swore if she tried hard enough she could control the pools that bore into her very soul.

A year went by and soon master and slave became lovers. Alcmene no longer despised her demon, she loved him with all her heart and he claimed so as well. So it was great excitement that at the end of this year she announced she carried his child. Aygul was very pleased for now he had an heir to his demonic name, but as the pregnancy progressed Aygul noticed that not all was well with his mate. Alcmene was becoming very weak, her skin turned from porcelain white to ashen grey, her black hair lost its sheen and her eyes became vacant of the energy she once had. Aygul saw this as a sign that the child would be more demonic in nature but also knew that Alcmene would not survive long enough to bare this child.

The demon pondered a full night how to save his child's mother until finally he realized that when she was with her sister she was much stronger for they were two halves of a whole. So he opened up the portal to Avira where he laid the body of his lover to be found by her sister before disappearing.

Ilandere did find her sister and once they touched Alcmene came back to consciousness and smiled. The two sisters were once again back together and they embraced, but even though she had enough strength to carry the child to term Alcmene was still sickly which made her sister very worried. While Alcmene was back she learned that her sister could not keep her child, for what reason she was never told. However she noticed that Ilandere was still in love with Arian but something was not right. Arian seemed very concerned for the child Alcmene carried, so much so it began to make Ilandere suspicious.

On the night of the full moon, where Ilandere was her strongest, her and Arian were alone with Alcmene in the garden. Ilandere wanted answers from her lover and so she cast a spell of truth on him and ordered here to reveal to her the names of his lover and his forms. At first he remained Arian and he spoke Ilandere's name, but he could not resist the spell for long and he fell to the ground writhing in pain as he began to change into a black, two tailed fox demon and he spoke Alcmene's name. They watched as he switched into several forms and spoke many more names, even that of a vampiress of high blood rank. The hurt of it all made Alcmene burst into tears, her sorrow so strong that it caused a storm on earth to break out all over.

"As the fates as my witness you shall never see your child!" she exclaimed before falling to her knees and screaming out.

That night Alcmene gave birth to a beautiful, two tailed vixen who she named Halyna. The child was given the title of Neonae Rosa, or the new moon's rose. Overcome by emotion of gaining a child and losing her lover Alcmene was too distraught and soon fell asleep. Ilandere's heart was heavy for her sister and herself for they had both been fooled into believing they had true love. Things though, were about to get much worse.

A year after her birth Halyna was kidnapped in the dead of the night from her nursery. The guards chased the kidnapper all over Avira but they lost him. When they returned to their mistresses they described the kidnapper as a large fox demon with two tails. Rage filled the two sisters and they sent their warriors to seek and destroy the demon that had caused them so much pain. Aygul, though, managed to elude them for two years before finally being cornered. He feared they would take his daughter and he would lose his only heir to his demonic name, this fear caused him to escape to earth with his kit clenched in his maw.

Aygul had to hide his young well to keep her his and only is. His eyes fell on a circus and he knew they could not find what they could not catch. He stood outside the tent of a human female who he could hear weeping. She could not have children and her brother quietly consoled her. This would be Halyna's new home.

"You will be raised here, my darling, but so no one knows that you are the daughter a demon," with a swipe of his paw her created a metal collar to a rose emblem on it. He placed it around the neck of his precious, sleeping kit. The collar would keep her powers locked so she could never access them and it would always grow with her. "Goodbye, my rosebud." He whispered, giving her a soft nuzzle before disappearing into the night once again.

The next morning Halyna was found by the woman who had been weeping the night before. The woman rejoiced when she saw the kit despite it having two tails. Upon inspection of the collar the kit wore she saw that her name was Halyna.

"Halyna....Halyna Heart, it sounds perfect for you. Come now, my new precious gem, let's get some food into you."

The woman who raised Halyna from then on was an Aerial Silk Dancer, and she taught Halyna everything she knew. And her new mother's brother was a magician with the circus who taught a few tricks of his own. For seven year Halyna was happy with her mother and uncle, but sadly, just like the previous patterns, her happiness did not last. Her mother died of cancer and a year later her uncle died of alcohol poisoning. Halyna was alone and treated like the freak everyone saw her as. Her new home was a cage lined with straw where she wept every night from hunger and loneliness. Many times Halyna came close to death from starving but she was saved by a spirit that would magically appear inside her cage, giving her a feast. This spirited called himself her father, and over the next two years she accepted him as such.

Halyna found solace in the spirit that visited her every night on the new moon. Her would play with her and tell her stories of her birth. She held being the daughter of a demon with great pride but her father swore her to secrecy. Every now and then her father would come in a different form but she always knew him by his eyes, those beautiful blue eyes. Her own eyes were a grayish blue.

A horrible thing happened to Halyna after she turned thirteen. It was late at night when the ringmaster snuck into her cage. The smell of whisky and smoke made her eyes water and stomach churn. The drunken man pounced her, holding her by her throat, choking her. He then proceeded to rape her, each agonizing thrust making her want to scream but with his firm grip on her throat she could barely breath and she soon passed out.

When she awoke the ringmaster was no longer there, blood and other fluids covered the straw between her legs. She lay there, lifeless and numb. As people began to gather her cage, though, she whimpered backing herself into a corner. She began to rock back and forth as their tormenting laughter reached her ears. Finally they left but Halyna had cracked and she spent hours rocking back and forth, spinning the collar around on her neck it was only after a sharp bite of pain that she somewhat gained control. Her eyes focused on her paw which had little cuts on them. She felt on her collar and found where a small piece had been broken off during the attack.

As her eyes continued to look down at her bloody paw anger swelled deep within her breast, she felt shaky. In the distance the cloud parted to reveal a full moon shined that night. With a high pitched howl she began to transform into the demon that lurked within her soul. She bit the bars of her cage which started to melt from the toxic saliva she possessed. That night she went on a killing spree, killing even the animals that got in her way. In the morning nothing was left. With a painful headache Halyna realized she had done this so she set fire to the whole place and left.

Halyna joined another circus where she became the Aerial Silk Dancer and as she grew older she rose up in rank to be co-ringmaster, but her past before had broken her. She was paranoid and OCD. Everything in her trailer was neat and had a certain place, nothing was ever out its position not even on her. Also, with the collar no longer whole her powers began to leak out, she found she had control of darkness and water as well as possessing her demonic powers. Sadly, with these demonic powers she had to lock herself away every night on the full moon, but sometimes not even that kept her from killing.
