Small wolves aren't built for carrying around big feline's on their backs...

This was a surprisingly delightful story to do, despite the themes not being quite at the inner circle of my usual interests. Had I cut a few details this could have almost been an SFW story. I had an amazing time writing a big sexy lion for this one, and medieval theme was a real joy as always. Commissioned by Anonymous.

Thank you for reading!

And HEY! My commissions are open once again! Check out the journal on my profile for more info!

The courtyard of the vast medieval castle was as busy as ever with all kinds of different animals streaming across and around the large open space at the foot of the bombastic stone structure. Horses, donkeys, and bulls were being loaded up with cargo by the smaller animals, a pair of loud-mouthed snow-leopards instructing the other ferals on what to pack and how to pack it. One towering grizzly bear dragged behind him two empty carts that were to be loaded and then attached to the four shire horses waiting by the gates. Everyone was busy and the levels of noise matched the amount of commotion perfectly. A smaller animal had to be careful not to get themselves stepped on accidentally with how actively bigger species moved between the castle doors and the courtyard gates.

The king was going on a trip. A political visit to one of the neighboring kingdoms. The entire castle had been abuzz about the journey ever since yesterday and all servants were taking part in the preparations. The atmosphere of impatience and anticipation was palpable, everyone working their hardest to get things ready before eventual departure.

So much was happening all at once, and Recki was watching all of it unfold. The small wolf with dark fur was obediently sitting at the bottom of the steps leading up to the great spruce doors of the aureate royal dwelling, waiting patiently with the other mounts for the royal council and the king himself to emerge from within. He was desperately trying to keep his furry tail from wagging too much, as he was relatively excited to have landed such a prestigious job as to act as a mount for one of the most esteemed animals in the entire kingdom. It wasn't often a regular servant like him got to carry members of the royal court.

Recki wasn't the biggest of canines, being a male of extremely modest proportions even for his own species. The wolf knew this perfectly well himself but was still confident in his ability to be of use as a mount to the smaller members of the royal council. Carrying around a rabbit or a fox would be a piece of cake for him, even for multiple consecutive hours. Heck, Recki would even succumb to carrying the fat wolverine he knew was holding the third seat in the council with how much the royal mounts were paid. He was extremely determined to do his job well in order to not jeopardize his current position as a servant and so that he could perhaps even pursue regular employment as one of the royal mounts. This was definitely not a chance the canine was going to waste.

Already thinking about the jump in social status he would receive from acting as a mount for one of the kingdom's governing minds, the enthusiastic wolf tried doing his best to act his most respectable, puffing out his furry chest and holding his head high like a proud noble, the intended illusion of elegance only broken by the rapid wagging of his tail. Recki couldn't wait.

And to his fortune, the giddy wolf didn't have to for long.

The entire busy courtyard came to an almost immediate stop and everything quieted down as if lightning had struck nearby. One by one, all animals present stopped what they were doing and directed their eyes at the top of the entrance of the castle where there a magnificent male lion was standing with a calm and dignified expression on his golden muzzle. The king had finally stepped out of the castle.

King Veran the second was a splendiferous feline specimen from his luxurious mane down to the fluffy tip of his tail, his sheer presence being able to elicit feelings of respect and admiration in animals of all species. Anyone could tell he was royalty with a single glance. As the King, he was respected and beloved by all those around him and he had accumulated a reputation of being an astute and judicious leader. He was handsome and charismatic, just like a king should: the well-groomed feline fur decorating his four-legged frame rivaling the purest of gold with its shine, his full, luscious mane carrying the light shade of mahogany, the pair of affable eyes embedded on his big feline muzzle reflecting a soft syrupy hue towards anyone lucky enough to gaze into them. Not just as a lion, but as a male, he was absolutely gorgeous. A King through and through.

Recki could feel his heart skipping a beat as he gazed to the top of the stairs and saw the noble male. The august feline captured the gaze of anyone and everyone in his presence, rightfully basking in the admiration of his subjects. Even the sun peeked out from behind the cluster of clouds as if it too was greeting the stunning feline with the awe and respect he deserved.

The remarkable male feline swept the entire courtyard with his dignified gaze, the calm pair of royal eyes eventually settling onto Recki, causing the small wolf to freeze right where he sat. Even from a good fifty feet away, Recki could feel the overwhelming pressure behind the royal feline's gaze despite his eyes being far from intimidating. The stare that was somehow calm and intense at the same time completely debilitated the dark canine, Recki becoming unable to tear his eyes away from his king no matter how much his inner etiquette-abiding servant screamed at him not to look directly at the beautiful lion.

Veran stared at Recki for a good ten seconds - the longest ten seconds of the small canine's life - a careful smile eventually dancing on the royal cat's large muzzle before he disengaged the brief locking of eyes with the smaller feral. Recki blinked and swiftly turned his head away from his king, staring blankly at the distant castle wall with his heart racing faster than it ever had in his life. A small hint of blush began creeping onto his canine muzzle and the flustered wolf had to try his hardest for his eyes not to try and wander back onto the bigger feline male.

The smile on Veran's face widened noticeably and the feline monarch performed an immaculate feline stretch, pushing his forepaws long out in front of him whilst arching his golden back with his big cat behind stuck up in the air in the most eye-catching manner. Recki could feel his heart skip a beat again, and he probably wasn't the only one in the courtyard either.

After finishing his seductive stretch, the big feral feline began his descent down the castle stairs. The rays of the late afternoon sun danced on the king's luxurious coat and full mane as he gracefully slipped down each step, the big feline muscles hiding underneath the golden fur moving about with a degree of elegance only present in large felines. The set of big royal paws tread the smooth stone with lightness one could usually only find in the steps of a slender cheetah, yet being displayed by such a magnificent predator as a male lion. Just watching the handsome feral walk down the stairs was breathtaking.

King Veran continued to walk with the same sophisticated strut when he reached the bottom of the stairs, his large eyes flickering with curiosity as he took a sweeping glance at all the mounts present. A nervous tingle raced along Recki's spine as he suddenly felt the king's gaze on his body again. That nervous tingle was quickly amplified into a body-rocking impulse of anxiety and panic, as the small wolf realized that the big feline was headed directly toward him.

The attractive lion walked smoothly past the other mounts like a golden shadow, stepping in front of Recki before the poor wolf had had any time to process being approached by the most influential animal in the kingdom. Too anxious to even blink, Recki was forced to gaze upon the gorgeous body of the feral feline up close, frozen still as a statue as the King eventually turned to face him.

King Veran was a big cat. Easily bigger than most wolves, being nearly double the size of Recki, who couldn't help but feel even smaller when next to the naturally intimidating royal. A small hint of the king's enchanting royal musk immediately worked its way up Recki's sensitive canine nose and tickled his dark nostrils pleasantly.

"G-greetings, your highness!" Recki was eventually able to blurt out some words from his trembling muzzle, having to be careful not to bite his own tongue with how nervous he was. It took the panicking wolf a few more seconds to recognize his own breach of etiquette, the dark canine swiftly jumping up onto his four feet and bowing his head before the king. The crude and skittish greeting was met with a warm chuckle.

"You must be Recki..."

The king's incredibly pleasant voice echoed in Recki's canine ears. Just having his name pronounced by the bigger male was nearly enough to make him lose strength in all of his limbs simultaneously. Before this moment he hadn't even dreamed about being the subject of the noble lion's direct attention.

"Y-yes, your highness!" Recki stuttered whilst still bowing his head.

"Please, by all means, raise your head. I want to get a good look at my beloved subject."

The king's velvety voice made each singular hair on Recki's body erect as he hastily stood up straight, trying to show off the perfect canine posture in front of the magnificent feline. The apprehensive wolf tried his best not to look directly at the king, but such a task proved to be almost impossible as the gorgeous male lion and his glossy fur were everywhere in Recki's view, his small eyes naturally gravitating towards the esteemed features of the feline's big muzzle and handsome, syrupy mane. In the end, the smaller male was forced to suck it up and stare into the caramel curls of the king's mane below the well-defined feline jaw, unconsciously holding his breath while the king's eyes traveled his dark, furry frame. The last thing Rekci wanted was to appear rude or disrespectful, but he didn't exactly want to show his excitement either.

"I have to say, you're everything I imagined you to be..."

The sweet baritone of the king's voice made love to Recki's eardrums once again and the wolf felt a small boost in confidence despite his anxiety in the bigger male's presence.

"T-thank you, y-your majesty!"

"Yes... You're just perfect~..."

The soft, silent purr of Veran's voice made Recki twitch and shake his head, unsure whether he had heard the royal feline's words correctly or not. "E-excuse me s-sire?"

"Oh goodness me! Talking past my mouth like that... Please pay it no mind." The bigger feral cleared his throat while giving the small wolf a final glance with his garnet and gold-colored eyes. For some odd reason, Recki could feel the king's gaze being concentrated on his lower back.

"Well then, I will be in your care for today..." The big lion drew an affectionate smile onto his golden muzzle while Recki cocked his head to the side in confusion.

"Eh?"

There was a brief moment of silence, during which Recki quietly regretted every single mistake he had ever made alongside the out-of-etiquette response he had just let out.

"I-I-I mean, p-pardon me...? Y-your highness?"

Veran displayed the same patient and calm smile as he had before, chuckling lightly at the smaller feral's reaction. "Such a feisty little wolf will surely make an excellent mount for me. I hope you're content carrying the king around for today."

Recki could feel his stomach sinking as if someone had dropped an anvil down his throat. Him? To carry the king? Who was at least twice as big as he was? The small wolf was completely stunned by the undeniably odd choice of mount from the governing cat. Not only was he anxious thinking about the amount of social pressure such an interaction would exert on him, but he was also - and mainly - worried about the actual pressure and weight the king would be exerting onto the joints, muscles, and bones of his small body with his mass. Sure, king Veran did have the elegant curves of a feline, but that didn't change the fact of him being close to three times as big as his canine subject.

Veran and the other mounts watched on in silence as the slow clicking of the gears inside Recki's head was nearly audible throughout the entire courtyard.

"A-a-are y-you s-s-sure your majesty?" He was eventually able to stutter. Veran calmly nodded his head, the smile on his muzzle so radiant it almost hurt Recki to look straight into it.

"W-w-wouldn't that be too e-esteemed of a task for a servant such as m-me to perform? I-I possibly couldn't act so frivolous in front of the court... "

King Veran didn't say a thing, his feline tail lazily sweeping the ground behind his back as he appeared to quite relish the panicked reaction from the startled wolf.

"A-are you sure you wouldn't by any chance prefer a b-bigger mount? Something that would suit your prestige better? I-I w-would be happy to help you find one to your liki-"

"Yes, I am sure!" Even though it was well-concealed, Recki could immediately pick up the authoritative undertone of the king's voice and swallowed nervously. "I have actually had my eyes on you for a while and I am positive you will make the finest of mounts... Even for royalty..."

Happy as he was to be directly praised by the king himself, even the encouraging words of the comely predator were unable to completely dissipate the very heavy shadow cast on Recki's mind about the task of carrying the king around, and all the way to the Equenefis kingdom, no less. The nervous wagging of his tail eventually died down as he went back to carefully considering his words, still contemplating if he could afford to refuse the king or not.

But the conclusion of it was fast. He couldn't. Especially with what kind of promotion was at stake if he went along with it. What else was a servant's body good for, if not as a sacrifice for the comfort of the king? Right?

"P-Please pardon my rudeness... I will also be in your care for today, your excellence." Recki eventually bowed his head, again being nearly blinded by the radiant smile displayed by the king.

"Excellent..." The handsome feral purred and raised his head, giving a nod to one of his snow-leopard advisors waiting for the king's signal.

"Everyone get ready to move! Soldiers in front, you may already form up outside the gate! Next up, the carriages with the gifts! Give the signal to the commander when you're ready to move! Horses and oxen line up after the gifts, you'll follow them! Nobles, you follow the carriages! The King will tail the caravan behind the nobles, followed by his bodyguards at fifty paces apart! Get to your positions and move!"

Be it the spotted feline was quite frail, he certainly packed some powerful lungs in that slender body of his, the orders he roared echoing all over the courtyard, reaching the ears of every animal present, the chatter and commotion spreading across the gated area like a flame in a spill of lamp oil, the deafening fuzz drowning out all other noises around the castle.

Recki turned his head about restlessly, observing how the other members of the royal council got onto their mounts and rode off one by one, seeking out their place in the caravan that was already starting to flow, eventually leaving just the small wolf and the big king on the bottom of the castle stairs. The king's expectant gaze was licking up the smaller feral's canine body and Recki's anxiety about this whole thing didn't show any signs of going away anytime soon.

"P-Please get on, your highness!" Recki tried not to stammer too much as he held a good posture to the degree that his slightly tensed muscles allowed him to, walking in front of the bigger male, offering himself up for use.

"This will be most enjoyable..."

Again, Recki was sure he heard something being whispered in the midst of Veran's purring but didn't quite grasp what the big lion said.

"Excuse me..." The feral feline growled in his velvety voice, walking on top of the canine of meager physique, his large body casting a shadow over the smaller male, Recki's heart skipping a beat as he felt the king's body so close to his own. Veran was just big enough to fit Recki underneath his chest and belly, the act of him stepping over the other male like so even further emphasizing the difference in size between the two. The view of it made Recki look like the perfect little stool for the larger male.

Recki's poor canine blood-pump experienced another skipped beat as the weight of something round and furry dragged along the fur of his lower back, stopping around the middle of his gently curving spine as the king got ready to sit down.

"T-these are his..." Recki blushed at his own thoughts, realizing that the future heirs of his majesty were currently resting against his back. Of course, he had been exposed to plenty of feral scrotal sacks in his lifetime, as only a few animals around the kingdom ever wore clothes. From bulls to horses, and foxes to leopards, he had seen it all, but this was the first time in his life that he had been in direct contact with the gonads of another male. And this pair belonged to the king.

"They're so big..." Recki shivered to himself as the delightfully round pair of feral testes graced his back with their virile presence. The king certainly was a big male.

Having been momentarily distracted from his anxiousness, the heavy weight of reality soon made itself known to the entranced wolf as Veran abruptly lowered his feline haunches onto Recki's back.

"Whoops! Down we go!" The big feline chuckled while the dark canine was forced to inject some strength into his legs to avoid getting flattened underneath the king's vast rump.

Recki had to take a deep breath as the fluffy mass of royal rear muscle got planted on top of him, the weight the bigger male possessed becoming instantly apparent even though Veran still had his forepaws firmly on the ground. The small wolf could already feel his slender canine legs trembling slightly, the effort of holding up what was essentially half of the king being an extremely arduous task in and of itself. It was immediately clear to anyone with eyes that Recki was far from the right animal for the job, already struggling quite handsomely with his royal load.

"I do hope I'm not too heavy... I've been trying to get rid of my winter weight..." The king chuckled jovially, lifting one of his forepaws to cover up the cheeky smile playing on his muzzle. Recki was immediately nudged a little closer to the ground, forced to bend his knees under the excruciating weight of the male feline, holding his teeth grit so as not to groan out from the amount of strain his canine muscles were suddenly subjected to. The intended groan eventually left his muzzle as a sigh, which more closely resembled a dry cough as the trembling wolf attempted to respond to the handsome lion.

"N-not at a-all, s-sire! I-I can handle t-this much!" Recki was already regretting his own words before they had even completely left his maw.

"Then I reckon you won't mind me getting comfortable?" The ever-pleasant feline voice had a somewhat sinister undertone to it, Recki watching on with dread at the king's remaining forepaw next to his muzzle that was the only thing currently protecting him from the full weight of the big feline predator. Already preparing for the inevitable, Recki had to divert more and more focus to his limbs and was only able to shake his head in response.

"What a brave little mount!"

A high-pitched canine yip echoed around the castle stairs as even the last of the king's paws left the ground.

Recki's fluffy canine tail shot up like a startled meerkat as he felt his comparably frail wolf spine taking a dip, having the enormous weight of another animal's body planted on top of it. All four of his legs protested this maneuver simultaneously by shaking like dry twigs in an autumn storm, the wolf controlling them only barely able to keep himself standing with how much his canine skeleton and musculature revolted against the idea of supporting this amount of weight. Recki was forced to gasp for air as the muscles in his legs unanimously screamed for oxygen to keep the whole wolf from collapsing onto the ground before the royal trip had even started.

King Veran was HEAVY, with full capital letters. Never mind that he had the svelte figure of a feline, he must have weighed close to six hundred pounds with how much he was able to make Recki's spine bend with his ample royal mass of fat, fur, and muscle. It was a sheer miracle the physically much inferior wolf was able to remain standing on his own four paws with his body subjected to such a massive burden.

And as if simply being sat on by a male weighing close to eight times his own bodyweight, Recki soon had to exert even more strength into the ground from his trembling legs as the king began to get comfortable on his back, seeking out the best spot on the panting canine to rest his royal rump against. The small servant wolf could do nothing more than whimper and whine with desperation as the king's excessive weight shifted about on his back, taking turns bullying his pelvis, femurs, and spine while the royal cat got cozy on top of his regrettably small mount. Recki was even forced to take a wider-than-comfortable stance with his paws as Veran swayed from right to left in search of the coveted equilibrium for his fluffy feline mass, the act of separating his legs increasing the strain on his poor muscles considerably, bringing his chest even closer to the muddy ground of the courtyard.

"I must say, your back is incredibly comfortable..." Veran purred, his words nearly missing Recki's canine flappers as the wolf had a hard enough time concentrating on keeping himself from collapsing. "It almost makes me want to never get off..."

Recki could only imagine the nightmare of carrying the king around for his day job. The mere thought of it made his poor bones tremble. Small wolves weren't built for this kind of abuse.

Feeling the numbness already tickling his toes from holding his legs locked for so long, Recki was eventually able to raise his voice and speak amidst all of his panting. "A-are you comfortable y-your highness?" The poor wolf tried to mask the agony seeping into his voice to the best of his limited ability.

"Hmmm~" King Veran hummed to himself, leaning most of his weight against his forepaws, resting on top of Recki's shoulders, whilst wiggling his backside about for a few excruciatingly long and strength-draining seconds over the wolf's lower back before finally settling down for good. "Yes! Quite!"

His voice was as jubilant as ever.

"...S-should... Should we get going then... Your... Your Highness?" Recki was barely able to keep his voice from shivering as he spoke again. He was desperate to start moving his legs if only to distract himself from the physical strain of holding up a feral much larger than himself.

The male lion's weight shifted unpleasantly on Recki's back yet again as he craned his royal head towards the front gates of the castle, observing the current tail of the royal caravan.

"Yes, I reckon we should. Count Gulo seems to be riding his way out already. We don't want to be left too far behind the council now do we?"

Recki was already feeling jealous of the fat wolverine's mount who had things so easy compared to him.

Doing his best to ignore the heated protesting of his leg muscles and the unhealthy curving of his canine spine, Recki carefully took a pair of steps, followed by another, and another. Through tremendous, draining effort he was somehow able to move his paws, having to tread the muddy ground with extreme care not to topple over from the constantly shifting weight of a grown male lion's behind rocking about on top of him. The sight of him wandering across the courtyard with shaky legs looked almost comical. A big lion perched up on top of a canine less than half his own size, sitting up with near-perfect posture befitting his position.

Lucky for Recki, most of the caravan wouldn't be able to see him, the only animals observing the dark canine's struggle being the dozen royal bodyguards who had taken off after the king and his small mount. Although with them passing through the town, the odd sight of the king being carried by a meager wolf would surely catch the attention of most passing citizens. Recki was however too busy dreading the rest of his journey to be too bothered about being seen in public with the king on his back. It would be a long day.

The sky was mostly overcast, a thick roof of dull, grey clouds reaching out far into the horizon above the long, royal caravan lethargically progressing through the varying landscape of small, meadowy hills and lush dells lining the roads outside the town. Every now and then the sun would peek out from behind the wooly veil covering the firmament, columns of light illuminating the road and the dozens of animals traversing it for brief moments at a time. Not a single leaf or a blade of grass fluttered in the absence of even the tiniest breeze, the air along the road almost unnaturally still.

The joyous chatter of animals reached far and wide as the different castes of king Veran's subjects conversed amongst themselves at varying levels of volume depending on the group of animals. The oxen and equines were naturally the loudest, their loud laughter and rudimentary articulation even occasionally reaching Recki's ears at the very back of the slowly moving caravan, most of the time drowned out by the more refined chattering of nobles in front of him, or the cold verbal interaction of the bodyguards in his wake. Not that he was listening anyway, the burden of carrying the heavy male lion absorbing most of his mental effort, leaving very little room for the wolf to observe his surroundings or listen in on the conversations of others.

And besides, the quietly struggling canine was engaged in a conversation of his own with the proud feline on his back, although it wasn't as much of a conversation as it was a monologue of the king.

"...And the peace of Tigertooth valley was established the very same day, both my grandfather and queen Ye'eniv agreeing to lay down their arms for the mutual benefit of their people. They shook paws on it and everything was forgotten just like that, it was quite absurd really, seeing how much animosity the panthers and lions had for each other at the time. I actually have a glorious painting of the historical paw shake in the royal wing of the castle's library, I'd love to show it to you sometime if that's fine with you."

Recki was sweating like a mule underneath the king's gently rocking feline rump, his legs already teetering close to the dreaded border of abrupt muscle failure due to carrying the king on his back for so long. Every single step forwards was a constant clash between his willpower and aching limbs, his body wanting to collapse - having desired to do so for the better part of an hour - whilst being desperately held up by Recki's psyche that was scared of letting down the royal feline in any capacity. Each passing minute of the journey seemed to get drawn out longer and longer, it nearly feeling like they had been walking for half a day, even though they had left the town only about three hours prior. Recki had been huffing, puffing, whining, and panting ever since the town gates, doing his best to not allow his rider to notice the signs of his fatigue.

In all honesty, Recki had been certain he would have collapsed gloriously underneath the king's behind after just a singular mile of walking, but somehow, he had been able to hang on.

"To gallop across a meadow of sunflowers with the wind in my mane, my paws like feathers in a breeze, flying me forwards over the fields of gold with each leap, my soul at peace, my heart soaring amongst the swallows."

The handsome lion finished his sonorous pronunciation of a poem unknown to Recki, the last few syllables of the bigger male's pleasant voice echoing in the wolf's ears for a good while.

"I don't suppose you've had much chance to familiarize yourself with fifth-age poetry?" Veran chuckled soon after. For him, this seemed to be a trip like any other and he had been talking almost non-stop, the topics ranging from history to literature and from politics to royal gossip. He appeared to be blissfully oblivious of the agony his weight caused within his mount, his smooth feline voice bright and upbeat as always.

The quietly groaning and whining canine was far too busy trying to conceal his dwindling strength and physical endurance to offer the king nothing but a nod or a nervous, pained smile wherever he could, not having uttered a single word for the last hour due to how much physical strain he was dealing with. He didn't want to appear weak in front of the king, much less inconvenience his feline employer. He couldn't afford to fall down. Not just yet.

"I personally prefer the more descriptive style of the equine kingdom's second royal poet, Enefyr II, who recently passed away. The detail he was able to weave into his poems was just fantastic."

Recki mustered up some strength to display a faint smile on his muzzle whilst nodding his furry head to acknowledge the attention the bigger male was giving him.

"Have you heard of the tale of wolf king Tefir? I was under the impression that his fable is quite popular amongst you canines... And you know I just heard of something really interesting..."

The handsome lion's words started becoming a homogenous buzz in Recki's ears as his body was about to reach its limit. Each movement of his canine carcass became more laborious than the last at an alarming pace, every single muscle and joint of his feet and back screaming for relief louder and louder. The immense stress his small body had had to endure was finally starting to catch up with him. Recki didn't know how much longer he would be able to keep going before his legs would give in under the king's weight.

It was no use. Recki would have to try and ask the king if he could switch mounts as he would soon become incapable of holding up the royal weight of the lion ruler.

But before the subtly side-to-side swaying wolf was able to open his mouth, he received a sudden injection of adrenaline from an unexpected source.

Something odd brushed against the dark fur on his upper back, something which hadn't been there previously. The sensation of it touching him was somewhat startling at first, the initial shock soon morphing into curiosity, which took Recki's mind off his aching paws for a brief, blissful moment.

The unknown object was warm and decently firm, its surface slightly sticky as it tapped against Recki's shoulders at the pace of his pawsteps. The whatever-it-was seemed to extend almost all the way down to where the king was sitting, even more of its length brushing against Recki's spine as the journey progressed. It seemed to also move along the gentle swaying of the big lion's body, leading the tired wolf to eventually figure out what exactly was touching him.

The eventual realization of it hit him harder than a kick from a horse, causing Recki to nearly stumble on the smooth dirt road, the abrupt correction of his balance significantly draining any leftover strength within his legs much to his demise.

"I-Is this the king's..."

A myriad of thoughts rushed through the small canine's head at once, the operating of his limbs growing all the more arduous with the sudden storm of emotions.

The object rubbing against his back was a cock. A big, fully erect member of a male lion; Veran's princemaker and queen-layer. The royal feline breeder for siring a strong and healthy heir to the throne. It was hot and hard and its upper half was decorated with small spines which prickled the back of Recki's neck each time he rolled his weight from one forepaw to another. And now that the wolf thought about it, the furry sheath and stout pair of royal gonads resting against his frame did feel a bit warmer than they had previously.

Was the king... Getting off to riding on a small wolf such as Recki? The king? King Veran? The respected ruler of Aracos?

It took Recki a few more labored, shaky steps to connect the dots within his head, all of it gradually becoming so clear to him. The few ominous notes and muffled whispers he had heard from the feline before. How and why the king had insisted the physically inferior wolf be his mount. The king was enjoying bullying Recki's with his enormous weight and had been for the whole time. So much so that the act of oppressing the smaller male with his superior weight and body size made him erect.

Could the beloved king be a sadist of some sort? The shattering realization stole even more strength from Recki's muscles, his agony underneath the king's mass growing even more severe by the second. He was shocked for sure, but other than that, the wolf wasn't quite sure how to feel about it all, being too tired to really get too stressed from having the king's cock bouncing on his back on top of the rest of his body. The king's weight bothered him much, much more.

As difficult as it was, the struggling wolf sacrificed some of his precious mental capacity to think how, and if he should react in any way, or if the king had already noticed him noticing the feral erection. The lion certainly made no effort to hide it. He didn't need to. What could a puny wolf servant possibly have done to the most powerful animal in the eastern kingdoms?

But Recki's thoughts soon got pushed to the very back of his mind, the vehement aching of his muscles taking precedence over the king's arousal, the eventual canine collapse nearing with each trembling pawstep. The wolf had to speak out. More pressingly right this moment, as Veran just finished his tale about the vast contents of the royal library and gave Recki a chance to speak.

"S-sir..." Recki raised his noticeably feeble voice, it taking him every single ounce of concentration to keep on walking while he talked. "I-I don't think I c-can k-keep going for much longer... I-I... I'm too weak for carrying around a physique such as yours..."

The majestic, golden feline was silent while Recki drew breath with his whole body trembling like a dry leaf.

"W-would you p-perhaps desire a s-stronger mount f-for the rest of the journey? Y-your tremendous body is t-too much for a wolf like me... I-I'm afraid I'm going to-"

"Ahh~! Would you look at the view? How magnificent!" The big lion cut the smaller male off as if Recki hadn't just said a single word, gazing into the horizon where a distant mountainside was beautifully lit up by columns of light.

Recki's plea was ignored. The big feline didn't even acknowledge it.

The crestfallen wolf immediately felt the effects of the subtle power move from his rider, hanging his head down in desperation whilst treading forwards on the road, his legs trembling like a set of twigs about to snap; which it felt like they were about to do soon enough. Veran quickly returned to his royal ramblings, telling Recki excessively about the intricate family trees amongst the nobles of the eastern kingdoms, the defeated wolf lacking any energy to even force a smile on his lips or feign interest.

The following mile traveled was a complete marvel of the combined efforts of Recki's willpower and sense of duty, mixed in with a hint of fear of what would happen if he did abruptly collapse under the king. Somehow, some way, the exhausted wolf was able to keep walking. His legs had gone numb multiple minutes prior, the monotony of his struggle under the oppressive weight of a grown male lion being the only thing stopping him from stumbling with his steps. He was barely able to stand anymore, each step further being a pure gamble with fate on whether he would fall flat on his belly or not.

And to make things even worse, the king was constantly about to slip deeper into the mighty curve of his mount's poor spine, much to Recki's rapidly growing discomfort.

A part of what had kept the wolf going for as long as he had, was the enchanting purr of satisfaction his rider was allowing to grumble up from his royal throat after he was finally taking a pause from all his talking. It was such a bewitching sound. If only Recki didn't have to hear it at the cost of his legs and spine.

But eventually, the burdened canine hit the wall of his dwindling endurance, a debilitating spasm running through his furry body like a bolt of lightning. Recki felt dizzy as his muscles suddenly forced themselves to relax, the blissful feeling of it nearly causing the exhausted canine to pass out as his legs finally, after hours of torment, gave in with pleasure.

The small canine mount didn't have any strength left to even whimper as his body fell flat against the dirt of the road, his paws and most of his back completely numb, the wave of lactic acid promptly attacking his sore muscles. It was difficult for him to even draw his breath, especially now since he had his lungs fully squished between the king's behind and the unforgiving ground, his aching musculature suffering even more agony from being denied the oxygen it so desperately craved. But even so, the sweaty canine felt an unparalleled sensation of euphoria of not having to fight against the gravity of the king's feline body. He was too tired to even be worried about how the big lion would react to him collapsing.

"Oh, dear..." The courtly predator cat chuckled, taking a brief moment to really grind his rear against his newly acquired canine cushion whilst looking down at Recki's gaping muzzle and the pink feral tongue hanging out of it. "...I suppose this is as far as you are able to go... It's a real shame we couldn't make it any further... Although this is much farther than I thought you would make it." Veran's velvety voice had a few traces of tease woven into it.

Another wave of relief quickly stuck Recki as the king finally stood up on his own four legs. The huffing wolf could feel the spined tip of the nasty feline cock landing somewhere between his ears, something wet staining the fur on the top of his head for a few drops' worth.

"Roan!" The standing lion raised his voice, a slender cheetah - one of Veran's bodyguards - appearing next to the two other males in the blink of an eye.

"Awaiting orders, sire!"

"Catch up with the front. Tell them king is tired and we will be stopping here for today. The journey will be continued at dawn."

"Yes, your Highness! Right away your Highness!" The spotted feline performed a quick bow before dashing off towards the front of the long, royal caravan.

Recki kept his tired gaze locked to the direction his muzzle was facing, his view soon overtaken by the view of the big feline's meaty, feral member and the big, taut testes accompanying it, the king's rump; the source of his torment appearing into his line of sight soon after. The feral feline, perhaps intentionally, let Reck feast his canine eyes on the royal behind for a good while before eventually turning around with a benevolent smile on his muzzle.

"You did very well today... Your king is impressed. I'm sure many of my royal colleagues could appreciate a mount or a seat with such perseverance as you have displayed." His voice, whilst calm, was cloaked in something sly. "I'm sure my good friend, king Zagrif from the equine kingdom would love to rest his rump on a wolf like you when we arrive at his palace tomorrow. Well, at least hopefully tomorrow..."

The powerful eyes of the king flickered ominously as he leaned his maned head closer to Recki's, blowing some air onto the exhausted wolf's muzzle with a soft exhalation from his feline nostrils.

"Make sure to gather up your strength to the best of your ability. I want my favorite mount well-rested and steady for tomorrow... A king has to ride with dignity does he not?" Veran growled, bumping his nose against Recki's forehead before turning away and stretching his magnificent body, showing off his male goods to the wolf for one last time, playfully curling his tail over his back to add further impact to the visual of his royal rear. Soon after, a group of his personal servants surrounded him and he gracefully walked to the side of the road where he laid down on a silk rug prepared for him.

Recki couldn't move a single muscle in his body. He was too tired to even apologize to, or thank the feline monarch like a servant should have. The prone wolf received a couple of strange, but also some sympathetic looks from the passing bodyguards, who wandered about to secure the perimeter and scout for possible threats to the king. Recki's body had grown so accustomed to having the king's weight on top of it, a part of him still felt like a feline butt was pressing it down.

His limbs feeling like they were made of lead, Recki had no choice but to lie down in the middle of the road while the strength slowly returned to his muscles, his small body constantly observed by the piercing gaze of the burly feline. And even though he was finally able to relax from all the hardships of the day, his mind was quick to start dreading the eventual sequel to the king-carrying that would await him tomorrow morning. Not to even mention Veran's hint about their equine host possibly wanting to do something similar with Recki once they'd arrive in the Equenefis kingdom.

Did all of the feral rulers fancy sitting on small wolves, perhaps?

The thought of it made him shiver, but he had no energy to ponder it any further.
