The bus rumbled along the curve of the mountainous roadway, climbing higher into the ancient deciduous forest that spread across the slopes of the mountains. It was an ancient bus but rather powerful to make its way up the steep slope. Sat at the window staring outside at the steep slope that dropped away into the forest Sam sighed at the rain flickering down the windows. The cream coloured moogle adjusted his glasses and slumped back in his seat, closing his eyes, listening to the rumble of the bus and the patter of the rain. Everything outside was dark green and dreary, not a nice day to be out. Looking up from the textbook he was making notes out of the black moogle sat next to Sam pulled his headphones off and nudged him.

"You ok there Dad?" He asked with a small smile as the older moogle cracked an eye and peered at him.

"Sure, just... sad memories don't worry about it Juli." Closing his eyes again Sam tried to nap as Julius his oldest boy returned to his music and his books. It was still quite a way to the last stop, deep in the woodlands near hidden village of moogles. Rumbling onward through the rain the bus continued onward, carrying its two remaining passengers toward home.

Elsewhere in those same woodlands three moogles were braving the rain; the wind was driving it through the trunks of the trees in mist like sheets that soaked everything. The oldest golden furred mog stopped in the shelter of an ancient elm, feeling their surroundings with his pom-pom. Satisfied with what he felt he turned to the pink and red moogles and grinned at them both. Hanare the smaller red moogle was clinging to his older brother against the rain and wind and looking excited. Tsumi shook one of his feet and idly ran his fingers over Hanare's wings. Being outside, naked and soaked on his birthday was not what he had planned for the day.

"Do I really need to be here for this Uncle Raine? You've been teaching Han just fine without me."

Shaking his head the golden mog shook a paw under Tsumi's nose, "Now you started to teach him, it's your place to be here as well as mine. Besides you might learn something."

Squirming, grinding the soles of his feet against the wet grass Hanare kupo'd loudly and prodded Tsumi. "You're the one who said we have to learn to feel all the elements. The rain is an important part of that."

"Indeed Han-po," Raine said with a smile, "The rain is just as important as sunshine or snow now then..." He paused as the dark grey clouds above the canopy flickered, rent by white light. Raine's smile grew wider as Hanare clapped his paws together excitedly.

"Do we dance?"

Tsumi sighed and looked up at the rain, letting the droplets of cool water soak his fur; the lightning added a whole new level to the feel of nature all around. Looking back down, he hugged his adopted brother and nodded. "We dance!"

Pulling up at the last lonely bus stop on the route Alex the panda driver leant over the edge and smiled at Sam and Juli as they gathered their bags and peered out at the rain. "It's been nice to have you on board Sam, been a long time since you came this way."

Smiling the cream mog shrugged his backpack on and grinned at the panda. "I don't have much reason to come out here these days. I'll see you on the way back down." Laughing the bear waved the two off into the woods then shut the doors and ran the heater, intending to take a break before the long drive back down the mountain.

Padding off the road and into the wet loam Juli pulled his hood up and trudged through the rain. "Why'd it have to rain, I mean really it is like it waited for us to leave."

Chuckling Sam nudged his son, "Oh stopped complaining, it's good for you to get out of the house."

"Me! What about you!" Juli said indignantly, "You haven't left the house in weeks."

"I'm a stay at home single parent, I'm allowed, you're a young mog who should be out partying and getting into mischief." Sam replied with aplomb pausing as his pom-pom twitched. Frowning he turned his head, listening swaying slightly. "This way," walking away from the trail that led to the village Sam set off through the underbrush with a determined step. Juli stared despondently at the sodden brush and followed.

"The village is back there where are we going?" For his question he got a mouthful of wet leaves as his father pushed a branch out of his way and let it swing back.

"You'd know if you were listening son, come on."

Stopping Juli tilted his head to one side, concentrating; with his eyes closed he reached out and felt a slight tingling, his pom-pom vibrating with sensation and sound. "Dancing?"

Smiling Sam motioned his dark furred son over and pushed back a stand of ferns, peering into a small space between three ancient trees were three moogles were lost in the communal dance with the spirits of the world. Lightning flashed overhead, illuminating the three dancing mogs in white whilst the shadows seemed to embrace their surroundings. Then the lightning winked back out and the three were lost to the rain misted gloom.

"Was that..." Juli began but fell silence at the touch of Sam's finger to his lips. His eyes widened as the lightning returned, creeping around the branches of the trees, a lace work of flickering white threaded through the canopy above. They flickered, casting the dancing trio in shadows and light so with each flash they appeared as statues frozen in a pose only to move to another during the shadowed moments. Juli froze as he watched the strange tableau in awe; he knew the energy that went into the dance of his kind. But watching it like this was almost hypnotic, Raine his uncle, Tsumi and Hanare his little brothers lost in the power of the dance yet not seeming to actually move due to the flickering lights.

Shaken from his reverie by a wet splat on the ground Juli turned to find his father stripping off his clothing. Smiling the black moogle nodded and wriggled out of his coat joining his dad in stripping. Soon with their clothing piled up under a bush with their bags, they stood side by side, feeling the wind and rain against every inch of their fur waiting for the right moment to step forward and join the dance.

Tsumi was enjoying himself now; he had not been so sure, when Uncle Raine insisted they go out in the rain. Now he was here dancing with the storm it felt so much better. The flow of the universe, the mysterious Ter'Had to whom his dance connected him was singing through his mind adding its beat to the rhythm engineered by his brother, uncle and his own body.

With eyes closed, he let his body and his rhythm control the flow, weaving the power of the music, asking the flow for help and gently guiding it as he wanted. Hanare's presence was a powerful yet still unskilled force, adding his own rhythm to the beat but letting the flow and Tsumi guide him. Sharp, fast, and powerful, over-eager as always but each time he danced he was getting better. Then there was Raine, his uncle's steps were slow, methodical, powerful weaving around Hanare, guiding him and aiding him to match Tsumi's rhythm with a poignant counter harmony that flared and sparkled in his minds eye.

The wind and cold no longer bothered him, the rainwater soaking his form and whirling around them was just another part of the dance. The song was there in all aspects of the day, the water the trees, the wind and mud beneath their feet. Each touched the other the tune changing as it moved from one to another then back again. Tsumi almost lost it all however when another beat joined theirs, an old, powerful base tone, deeply moving, reaching down into the earth and vibrating up through the soles of his feet.

Swaying in shock, his dance stuttering for a moment Tsumi opened his eyes and watched his dad move into the clearing. As nude as he was, moving as if he was a statue that changed position only when you were not looking. His movements lost each time the lightning dancing in the treetops plunged them into darkness. Faltering a step Tsumi felt the whole harmonious mix of moogle rhythm balance on an edge and then Sam seized his paws and pulled him back into the dance. Falling back into the dance Tsumi smiled at his dad, it was a very rare occurrence that Sam was together enough to dance these days.

Just as Tsumi had gotten used to the feel of Sam's beat, deep and powerful thumping into the ground, mixing with the mud even as Hanare's blended with the rain and Raine seemed to flow with the wind another rhythm joined the mixture. A new layer of power joining the rhythm, slow moving, graceful, echoing the mind that was moving into the flow to join them in their celebration of the storm and the end of summer.

Juli's form seemed to complete the circuit, the flickering lightning over head crackled and blazed to life, a solid tracery of white light over head. Everything was brought into clarity, Tsumi and Sam, cream and pink dancing together in the centre. Tsumi was slight and pink, pom-pom glowing with energy as he moved, representing the balance, the weaving of all into one.

Then there was the booming vastness of the slow moving earth being brought to life in the way Sam was dancing. Each footstep was precise and heavy, his arms and torso moved in ways that seemed to suggest great weight and majesty as he let go of Tsumi's hands to rejoin the other four with his stately grace. He made his way to the outside of the group, dancing in a way that seemed to encompass and contain all of the others.

Flittering, bubbling, whirling, dancing, splattering... water was enthusiastic, it was powerful and almost uncontrolled as it span about the moogle in the shape of Hanare's whirling youthful dance. He bubbled and flowed with the rain, shifting direction with it, letting the water guide him as much as he showed it the path he wanted it to take. He bumped the others in ways that added to the harmony and timing, the swirling rain was encompassed in the bright red moogles enthusiastic delight.

Driving the rain, guiding and directing it was the wind, even as Raine danced as counterpoint to Hanare's wild eagerness. The gold mog's body moved with a lithe swaying gait, he was as old as Sam but his body moved with a light step, a flowing powerful grace that invoked the power of the wind that drove the storm. The safe dam that guided his nephew as the wind howled and rattled through the branches, driving the rain, whipping it into a frenzy of droplets that drifted sideways through the air before embracing the earth below.

Finally but in no ways least was Julius, fast, jerky movements that at first glance seemed wild and uncontrolled but if one studied them were tightly managed. The crackling of fire, the wild energy of heat represented by the brilliant lightning that laced the tree-tops as a net of frozen white-fire! This was Julius, concentrated, controlled yet impulsive and good natured dancing and moving as the representative of the crackling fire that fuelled the storm's white light and rent the clouds with its passing as thunderous booms.

Tsumi reached out with his body, with his mind, gathering the flows of his loved ones guided the flow, melding with the great harmony of the living woodlands. The energy they built seemed to spiral around him causing his pom-pom to glisten with a light that faded through bronze, red, gold and brown flickering and sparkling as rain water clung to the fuzzy ball. The power of their dance spread out, crossing the woodland, the mountain side encompassing everything. With a final swaying step, a movement that seem to draw the others with him Tsumi came to a halt and one by one the others span to a stop, the dance was over. Thunder rumbled in the distance, the storm was passing, rain slackening off and in all directions the canopy came to life as the late evening sun shone through the breaking clouds. Fires glistened in the treetops, brow, gold, red and yellow, the summer was a memory autumn had arrived in all its prismatic glory.

Sitting down Tsumi looked around at his family and smiled, "You guys..." he blushed as Sam came over and hugged him then Juli grabbed him about the neck and ruffled his hair.

"Happy Birthday squirt," Juli quipped.

Everyone was exhausted; Raine and Hanare were sat down on the ground, the older golden furred moogle supporting Hanare's head against his chest. Mud splattered, naked and still tingling with aftershocks of energy from their dance it was a very pleasant reunion.

"Welcome home Sam, Juli..." Raine smiled lifting Hanare into his arms, "We have a celebratory dinner planned for Tsumi. A bonfire down at the lake and a large tent for us to spend the evening in, will you be joining us?"

Sam smiled and moved over to stroke Hanare's ears then turned to look at other sons. "Sure... Juli, Tsumi grab our packs and lets go get cleaned up." Smiling at their father the two brothers crashed into the bushes, tussling with one another as they went. Blinking and looking around Sam glanced down at Hanare and idly patted his youngest son's ears again. Han opened his eyes and murmured reaching out to take his dad's hand as Raine carried him. Letting Raine and Hanare lead him along Sam followed smiling, it was nice to be surrounded by family.

An hour later found the family of five settled down around a roaring campfire. It had taken some doing to get it started after the fire but now it was really starting to bite. Thankfully Raine had seen sense to cover a pile of firewood with waxed sack cloth to keep it dry. Hanare was curled up against his father sleeping off the after effects of the dance whilst the older brothers were helping Raine prepare the food. Sam had lit up a reefer and was lounging on the ground, still quite naked and basking the warmth coming off the fire as he watched his family working in a befuddled fog of pleasure.

The lake was a steely grey colour dappled with moment of sparkling orange as the sun sank behind the trees. It was a good place to camp and the tent was a nice large one that was waterproof and sturdy so had weathered the storm well and kept the supplies nice and dry. It took about an hour for the fire to die down to a level were Juli could set up the tripod and start cooking but soon enough the smell of roasting sausages, frying bacon, bubbling beans and crisping potatoes filled the crisp evening air.

Smiling Sam pulled his feet back from the fire so Tsumi could get past and breathed out a cloud of smoke before offering the joint to Raine. The gold mog shook his head and carried on working the pestle and mortal, grinding up seasonings to add to the food. Reaching out to snag Tsumi's arm on his way past Sam pressed the joint firmly into his hand and winked. "Have a toke boy, you're old enough."

Tsumi hesitated, he'd always been told never to touch anything his dad gave him. Not wanting to upset him though Tsumi took a toke, coughed as he did it wrong then passed it back before going to get a drink and get rid of the taste. The cream moogle seemed content and blithely ignored the frown he was getting off Juli and settled down to wait for the food.

When it was served Hanare was awake and seemingly recovered from the strenuous dance. The food certainly helped to perk him back up all the way. Bacon, Sausages, jacket potatoes dripping in butter with beans and cheese and chicken in a white sauce as well Raine's special herb garnish mixed into the tomato sauce. The food was eaten with fingers and the grease wiped off on the grass, rich meats with fruit juices and wine to accompany it. Conversation ranged from Juli's schooling to be a Doctor to Tsumi's part time job as a night club dancer. Hanare was grilled on how his lessons in the art of pottery were going and how he was finding Raine's tutorledge in the finer arts of Moogle geomancy.

As the talk wound down Tsumi drew back a bit to stand on the shores of the lake, watching the moon rise and the quarter moon rising, it's silver light forming a shimmering path across the lake. Smiling, full off good food and content with his family so close he turned and returned to the cheerful light of the fire. He was in time to see his dad and uncle slipping off into the shadows together.

"Where are they going?" He asked Hanare who was carefully laying more logs on the fire.

"Something about catching up and some alone time," the red mog supplied as he leant back to avoid a spray of sparks. Behind him Juli slipped out from inside the tent and grinned.

"Yeah catching up, they took the Kupo-Nut wine."

Tsumi snerked and shook his head, "They'll be awhile then," looking around the camp he stretched arching his spine and fluttering his wings. "Today has been good."

"And about to get even better," Juli said as he leant over Hanare and palmed something into the mogs mouth then held it shut. Squirming in alarm Hanare's eyes went wide as he tasted what was on his tongue. With a soft moan he started to chew then swallowed squirming as he leant back into the welcoming arms of his oldest brother.

"Juli... no fair I... ooooh kupo." Hanare whimpered as he felt his sheath thickening and the warmth rushing through his body as the nut he'd just eaten got to work.

"Was that what I think it was?" Tsumi enquired, drawing closer, nose twitching as he picked up the scent coming from Hanare. A mixture of arousal and a warm nutty taste, the pink mog shivered as Juli held out a third of the nut to him and Tsumi wasted no time in eating it. Kupo nuts, those deliciously rare nuts that drove moogles into a frenzy of sexual desire, what better way to end his birthday then with intense personal pleasure with two of his favourite moogles.

The three brothers wasted little time after that, retreating into the tent and each other's arms for several hours. The only sound was the gentle wash of water against the shore of the lake and the occasional groaning kupo from the darkened tent.

The moon was high over head and shrouded by cloud by the time Raine and Sam returned from their private communion in the woods. Parting the flap of the tent Sam peered in at the tangle of limbs and pom-poms.

"Looks like they got on just fine without us," he murmured with a dreamy smile on his face as Raine teased up and down his back with one hand. "How's Hanare settling in?"

Resting his chin on Sam's shoulder Raine murmured, "Good, he's got a good mind and will make a fine geomancer once I reign in his enthusiasm." Raine gasped as Same's own wondering fingers teased the string his pom-pom hung from. "He's also, mrrrr stop tha unless ya mean it, stopped worrying that you all don't really mean it when you say you've adopted him."

"Good, I admit... I'm not much of a father but I do my best for the squirt."

"How's Juli?" Raine asked as he slipped into the tent and helped Sam button the flap down, sniffing at the heavy, musky scented air and shivering as he felt parts of himself stirring again.

"He'll be graduating soon, and Tsumi seems to have his heart set on dancing for now." Sam murmured, swigging from the wine jug, downing the last of it and swaying a bit.

"Well he is going to have his work cut out for him, it's hard to believe but Hanare seems kinkier and hornier then your pink boy."

Running his tongue over his teeth he tilted his head and looked over at the innocent seeming face of Hanare as he slept. "Hard to believe... mmm what say we teach them about stamina." Running a paw down his stomach and stroked over his sheath, squeezing his cock as it started to grow hard again. "I can smell Kupo Nut."

Nodding in agreement Raine smiled, "Deal... but I get Juli."

Grunting an affirmative Sam moved in toward Tsumi and Hanare with a happy smile on his muzzle. It didn't take long before the close atmosphere of the tent was heating back up with the sound of startled kupos that quickly descended into soft groans of pleasure.
