After walking for hours, the duo walked up onto a small building. Using the trees as cover, Kaien snuck closer to the building and looks through a window. Inside the build was a large group of raptors, armed with M16's and a various number of weapons. Kaien coughed suddenly, causing a few of the raptors near the window to turn their heads. Kaien started to look around himself erratically, before snapping his claws and smiling. The raptors reached the window and opened it, looking outside the building. There was nothing in sight so they just shrugged to each other and shut the window. Giran looked from his hiding place after hearing the window close and could not spot Kaien. "Kaien," Giran said in a hushed tone. There was still no sign of the smaller dragon anywhere. Just as Giran stood up to walk out from behind his cover, a black light wrapped around his wrist and held him behind the tree. "Stay there, Giran," a voice whispered as Kaien came back into sight in the exact place he had be sitting when he was almost caught.

Giran let out a relived sigh before noticing that Kaien had once again vanished from sight. Giran frantically looked around before noticing some movement on the roof of the building. He soon noticed the unmistakable horns on Kaien's head come up before a black cloud appeared over the building. Just as quickly as the cloud appeared, the entire building was consumed by a pitch black cloud as black lightning began to rain down around the building. The dark storm remained for a few minutes before the darkness faded away and Kaien stood at the door of the building. Giran managed to look through the window to see none of the military raptors. Kaien quickly opened the door and walked in, looking around the entire one room building. Suddenly, Kaien's voice sounded inside of Giran's mind, "Listen, I need you to watch for any personnel who might have spotted my little attack. Signal when they approach and remember, you cannot be spotted." Giran gave Kaien a thumbs up through the window before looking around the building. It wasn't a few minutes that a group of five raptors appeared and ran towards the closed door of the building. Giran subtlety motioned to Kaien, who quickly ran over next to the door. The raptors kicked in the door, but Kaien had gotten on the side where the door swung and concealed him. The raptors entered and ran into the center of the room, quickly sweeping the area for the cause of the multiple causalities inside the building.

Giran quietly snuck next to the window, making sure he wasn't spotted by the raptors as he peeked through the glass. Kaien looked at Giran from behind the door as a creepy smile crept across his face. He suddenly kicked the door closed, gaining the attention of all five of the raptors in the room. They quickly raised their guns to Kaien, but Kaien held out his claws as two Japanese hookswords appeared. He suddenly sunk down into the floor as a pool of darkness faded into sight. The raptors fired into the pool, thinking that he was still inside, but suddenly two of the raptors fell dead from lacerations to the back of their necks. The other three raptors turned and shot at Kaien, but only one bullet made contact with the dragon before the remaining raptors fell from lacerations to their chests and stomachs. Giran gulped as the blades Kaien held faded away before he walked into the building. There was a rather large bag sitting on the floor just feet away from where the raptors were standing. Giran looked inside the bag to see a large number of explosives. "Umm, Kaien...what are all these explosives for?" Giran asked with a concerned tone in his voice. Kaien nodded as he picked up what looked like a remote detonator and threw it into the bag. Giran, slightly annoyed by the fact that Kaien was blowing off his question, walked over to the dragon and shoved him up against the wall. "Kaien, what are you doing??" Giran yelled at Kaien before realizing what he was doing and let the dragon back down. "I'm doing this..." Kaien started, "to get back at that fox. He did something to me when he injected that serum into my body." As Kaien walked out of the building, Giran walked up behind the small dragon and grabbed the bag, throwing it over his shoulder. "I'm gonna help, but you own me Kaien." Giran said in a half laugh before they found the path that lead to the labs.

After walking for hours, they came upon the labs. Ironically, the fox that had kidnapped them and changed Kaien stood outside the door. "Listen Giran, you stay here and stay hidden. I'm gonna handle that bastard." Kaien said as he gently pushed on Giran's arm. Giran nodded before walking into the trees to hide. Just as he was hidden, the fox looked down the pathway to see Kaien walking towards him. "Ahh, Mr. Kami, so glad to see you have returned. Did you enjoy your little run?" the fox asked with a sort of tone in his voice that Kaien found annoying. As Kaien got closer, the fox seemed to become of sarcastic and demeaning to the dragon. "Come Kaien, we need to run some more..." was all the fox said before he ducked from getting kicked by Kaien's foot. The fox shuffled back into the labs, Kaien following his every move with his eyes. As he watched the two walk into the labs, Giran came out of hiding and flew up to upper level of the lab. After landing and finding somewhere to get inside the lab, Giran hid until he heard a door nearby open. The fox came running into the room as three raptors were thrown inside with Kaien running in quickly after. Just as Kaien entered the room, a panel in the ceiling opened and two large mechanized hands reached out and grabbed Kaien. "And there is no use in struggling or trying to use your powers, for these machines will tighten their grip if you struggle and they disrupt your powers," the fox said with a cocky attitude. Kaien growled before he felt a sharp pain in his shoulder. There was a small silver tranquilizer sticking through his scales. After a few moments, Kaien fell unconscious from the injection. Giran cursed under his breath and blinked, only to see that the fox and Kaien had disappeared. He walked out from his hiding spot, leaving the large bag of explosives hidden.

Kaien awoke strapped to a test table, with a various number of machines beeping next to his head. He looked around to see only one morph inside the room, the fox. Growling under his breath, Kaien struggled to get free and then he realized that his powers were being disrupted by the same type of technology that had captured him in the first place. The fox stared at the dragon before picking up a syringe with some type of black liquid inside. "This will be painful, dragon. I promise you that much," the fox said as he crept closer to Kaien. Just as the fox reached Kaien, he was pushed away by a large boulder that seemed like it was composed of part of the building. Kaien looked around before his attention was caught by something standing in the doorway of the room. It was Giran, his claws held out like he had just thrown something. The fox jumped up from where he had landed, snarling at Giran. "You overweight, overzealous, reptilian bastard! I'll be sure to kill you, mark my words!" the fox screamed before a large wall of rock rose from the ground behind him. The fox jumped away, landing just a few feet from the restrained Kaien. The fox quickly stabbed Kaien with the syringe just as Giran stomped his foot on the ground and caused a large portion of the floor to fall out from under the fox. Giran ran over to the restrained Kaien and unlatched him from the surgical table. Helping the dragon up, Giran pulled the syringe out of his stomach. Kaien looked down at the small puncture in his stomach, wondering what was going to happen to him now.
