Yeah....*stands shackled to a wall in front of an angry mob of watchers, with a basket of free rotting fruits and veggies for the mob's enjoyment nearby* a year....wow. I'm ashamed of myself, honestly, and I'm sorry about the wait. :(

Kenny awoke on the couch to the sound a toilet being flushed. He tried to jump off of the couch as fast as he could. He heard the click of the unlocking bathroom door and a cold sweat came over him. There was little time left. He tried to get up and run to the kitchen where his box would be before he got in trouble, but found his legs were nearly unusable. Thus, he crumpled to the floor upon standing up.

The door opened down the hall, and Kenny rolled under the coffee table in front of the couch, praying that he would go back to bed so Kenny could get some time to get to his box. Otherwise he would be punished, and he knew that punishment hurt.

Footsteps echoed down the hall, getting closer and closer every time they fell. Kenny could barely keep his breathing in check as he saw two slippers round the corner of the hallway and head towards the kitchen...

They left the living room and entered the kitchen, leaving Kenny alone under the table. It was only a matter of time before he was found out by his master and punished. He had been throttle the night beforehand for eating a scrap of 'table food' and not his 'specialized formula'. Kenny knew it wasn't real food, but rather it was just waste products from the kitchen, and it tasted terrible after fermenting for a day or two. But it was the only food he was going to get, so he kept his mouth shut and ate.

_ But last night he watched as his master got up from the table and went into the bathroom. He scuttled across the floor and was reaching for a slice of bread on a plate when a rough hand grabbed his neck and squeezed. It and its cousin applied pressure until Kenny's face turned blue, before throwing him on the couch._

_ Kenny's vision faded slowly. Finally it became the soft, welcoming darkness called sleep. He awoke to find his legs had cuts and welts and could barely move them. He then realized he was on the couch. Fear raced through him like blood through veins. Rolling off the couch, he tried to make it to his box in the kitchen, but his legs would not support his weight. He crawled under the table as he heard the bedroom door open instead. Slippers came into his view before a hand came down and grabbed him by the shoulders..._

Kenny closed his eyes and began to shake as he was pulled out from under the couch by Liza. "Hey. Calm down Kenny. It's just me."

Kenny calmed at the sound of a new voice and a warm hug. It was just a dream... Kenny opened his eyes to find bright yellow ones a few inches away from his, only separated by Liza's raptor-like snout. He jumped, and Liza leaned away.

"Well, now that you are awake, I thought we could go somewhere today or at least do something other than hang around the house. But I have to take a shower first, so explore the house if you want to. I'll be right out."

Liza set Kenny on the couch and walked towards the hallway. He wasn't wearing much; just pajama bottoms and slippers. Kenny felt his face warm as he blushed at the shirtless lizard. He had decided he was gay a year or two ago when he found himself staring at boys in the locker room. So it was a real plus that he was in a house with the most buff and in-shape guy he'd ever seen. Even if that said guy was a lizard.

With Kenny's fears done tormenting him for now, he was free to take in his surroundings. There were sounds of birds coming through an open window. Curious, Kenny got up awkwardly and moved towards it. The window was really a sliding glass door with big curtains which were drawn back. Green foliage could be seen through the open door, and a grassy meadow was barely visible through a path between the trees.

Kenny realized with a start that he had always wanted a home like this. Set away into the forest, spacious, and beautiful. It was like being on vacation compared to earth, which was like being in vacation tenfold compared to...well...

"Like the view?" Liza said from behind him. He was holding a white mug of some type of steaming liquid. It smelled vaguely familiar, but after months in hell, he couldn't quite place a finger on what it was.

Kenny just nodded and turned his attention back to the outdoors. Liza put a hand on Kenny's shoulder. "You want anything to eat or drink? I have some coffee or cereal if you want any." That's what Liza was drinking. Coffee.

Kenny nodded and followed Liza into the kitchen. It was fairly spacious, with white tiles on the counters and floors. The many cupboards that spanned the room were made of a light colored wood and looked too ornate to be used as much as they probably were. But then Kenny remembered that Liza could be gone for months at a time on his ship and all.

Liza opened one of these cupboards and pulled out a small container filled with something resembling oats. He closed the cupboard and poured some of its contents into a bowl like one would cereal. Setting the container down, Liza got out a small brown box from the pantry and poured out thick brown granules into the same bowl before adding some hot water. He got a spoon, stirred it up and handed the bowl to Kenny with a smile.

"I'm pretty sure you have had this on your home planet, Kenny. It seems to be in every world that I visit these days."

Kenny took a bit and a nice, smoked flavor entered his mouth. It turned out to be a form of oatmeal. Kenny pondered this. The brown stuff must have been brown sugar and the oats were, well, oats. Add hot water and you get brown sugar oatmeal, a favorite of Kenny's. He started to scarf down the food as fast as he could out of habit from the last few months, before Liza stopped him.

"Hey, buddy. Slow down. I meant for you to eat the food, not inhale it. If you feel you want more the stuff is right here for you to get some more, ok?"

Kenny nodded and began to eat a bit slower than he was eating a few moments beforehand. Liza, satisfied, went out of the kitchen and back into the main part of the house. Kenny didn't know where he was going or what he was going to be doing until he heard voices and noises and took a shot in the dark that Liza was watching his T.V. again.

Kenny took the last bite of his oatmeal and got up from the chair. His legs were stiff still, but they got him to the sink. He set his bowl in the sink and took a closer look at the kitchen.

Liza's kitchen was like one that you could fine in a home furnishings magazine; just about 15 feet by 8, with a round table next to a large window at one end. Cabinets lined the upper walls, and were a light caramel colored wood. There was a counter under the cupboards, and it stretched from the table Kenny was just sitting at to a door on the other end of the kitchen. The countertops were a white marble on top, and the drawers and cabinets beneath were the same caramel wood. The sink was marble too, with a lightly opaque silver, if you will, faucet. On the other side of the kitchen there was a stove, an oven, and a refrigerator on the right. They were separated by a small stretch of countertop in between each one.

Kenny liked kitchens. They just were his favorite room of any house; so much potential, and usually beautiful. Kenny decided to explore the house a bit more before Liza could catch him and give him a tour. But as he walked out of the kitchen, Liza caught sight of him and waved him over.

Kenny walked over, a little irritated he could explore, and sat next to Liza on the crème colored couch.

"±§?¥µ °¶¤ßÞþð? ???????" Liza asked Kenny, whose eyes were wide and confused. Kenny shook his head and Liza face-palmed. He tried again. "How was breakfast? Sorry about that, I sometimes switch to my original language instead of English."

Kenny gave a thumbs-up and Liza nodded. "You know, English is spoken on many planets? No one knows why, but a lot of languages are used simultaneously on many different planets across the many galaxies." Liza picked up the controller and pressed a few buttons in the direction of the T.V.

"...of many different types of plants. And though these are mostly harmless..." There was a mouse on the T.V. explaining something about plants, but now it was in English instead of Liza's language.

"So, Kenny, it's starting to get well into the morning, and I have a lot planned to do today with you. First, I'm going to take you for a walk out back. Then, we'll go to the laryngologist to see why you can't talk."

Kenny's eyes lost focus as memories came back...

He was undressing right there in front of Kenny...

"Kenny is you okay?"

The rolls of pink skin spilled over his tight jeans as the pig unbuckled his pants...

"Kenny?"

The smell...

"Kenny!"

Kenny closed his eyes and waited for the inevitable...

"Kenny! What's wrong?"

The blood in his throat and mouth tasted bitter and metallic, but Kenny knew he couldn't gag...

"Snap out of it Kenny!"

Kenny blinked and came back into reality. Liza was holding his shoulders, shaking him. Kenny grabbed the lizard's wrists and pried the hands off. Kenny shook his head.

"Kenny? Are you okay?" Liza was worried after the little episode Kenny went through. Kenny was paying attention to Liza was little curiosity, but then his eyes seemed to peer through him, and they didn't respond to movement.

Kenny nodded that he was fine, lying. Liza just dropped it. He didn't want to prod at Kenny any more, lest something worse happen. Liza stood up and turned off the T.V. He was dressed in some dark green cargo pants and a light tan T-shirt. His light green scales glimmered in the morning light as he stretched. He was wearing alligator slippers, which made Kenny wheeze as a laugh. Liza followed Kenny's line of sight and smiled.

"Like my slippers? I find them funny, with my being a lizard myself. This one is name Iggy, and the other is Ziggy," Liza said, pointing to the left slipper, then the right. Kenny nodded, thinking of how weird Liza was for naming his slippers. He could have named them just now for Kenny's sake, but Liza seemed familiar with the names, so it was possible he had named them after all.

Kenny smiled and nodded before getting up himself. Liza led him over to the large sliding glass door in the back of the room.

"Welcome, to my back yard..." Liza said dramatically as he opened the door for Kenny. Kenny walked out through the door onto the gravel path, followed by Liza. The pathway led into some woods and then curved out of view. In the distance, it could be seen reappearing into a meadow.

Kenny started forth along the grey path, and Liza just walked beside him. Kenny liked trees and nature, so he enjoyed the walkway. The trees gradually came and greeted them as the two walked into them.

For the next few minutes, Kenny continued to look around in wonder at the new trees mixed with ones he already knew. Pine trees were sprinkled here and there, giving the air a fresh scent, while redwoods and oaks made up the density of the forest. Every once in a while, Kenny would point to a foreign tree and Liza would explain where it originated.

"That's from a planet that didn't have any animals. Some plants would grow moveable vines that burrowed into other plants and sapped energy from them," Liza described a medium sized bush that was a pale green color, and had no leaves; just long vines that would move ever so slightly.

They walked for what seemed to be an hour or so until there was a break in the foliage. The meadow opened up to Kenny and Liza as they cleared the last few trees. The grass was a healthy green color, and made the air smell sweet and welcoming, like summer. Kenny loved the place instantly.

"I always imagined getting married back here with my old partner. That path would be perfect for the rose petals, no?" Kenny looked at Liza, surprised, and apparently it showed. "Yeah, I used to have someone in my life. But it didn't last very long"

Liza led Kenny to the center of the meadow, where a log had been split and made into a wide bench, on which they sat.

"My partner and I were both in the SC together, and we happened to work on the same airship. I always was a rank higher, but it didn't matter in the end. We were raided by pirates on a smaller ship in the middle or the Nexus Matrix. It's a stretch of space where no radio can be sent or received due to some strange anomaly.

"They blew the left quadrant out while we were both off of our shifts. Out of seventy eight members, only thirteen survived. Some nights, I wonder why I was spared. But duty calls, and I soon grew used to the new normal. Since then, I prefer to travel alone unless I absolutely need a crew's help. Lest I get attacked again.

"Anyways, I'm not one for reliving that moment, so I'm sorry if I must cut the subject short, Kenny. It just...hurts."

Liza sat there, looking out across the meadow. He was lost in thought now, and Kenny felt bad. He could have sworn he somehow caused Liza's sorrow, when he couldn't even talk. None the less, he leaned over and hugged Liza.

Liza sat there, with a small human hugging him around the torso, for a while longer before finally coming back to reality. He looked at Kenny, then back up across the meadow.

"Ready to go back?" Liza asked somberly. Kenny shook his head and stood up on the log. "What are you doing? Get down before you hurt yourself, silly!" Liza reached out for Kenny, but never grabbed him.

Kenny put out his arms, and in a T-shaped position, fell backwards off of the low log. Liza jumped up, worried, and tried to catch Kenny. They collided and the pair went rolling down a small hill together. They rolled and rolled, Kenny in Liza's protective arms, until they fell into an embankment of muddy water. Liza let go of Kenny and sat up.

"What were you thinking?! You could have gotten hurt! Why'd you do that?!" Liza was almost yelling at Kenny, still hurt from his memories and at the idea of Kenny being hurt on his watch. "And now look at what you did to my clothes! Do you know how much time I'll need to spe-"

A wet squelching noise cut Liza short as a ball of mud hit him smack in the face. He wiped it away as best as he could before another got him in the cheek, followed by a wheezing sound. Liza stood up all the way, every single inch of him looming over Kenny, who now cowered in Liza's shadow.

'Shit...taki mushrooms...' Kenny though, and cringed. He knew what was coming. He'd gotten it often enough. The sound of it coming at him through the air....the force that it had when it collided with his face...the pain exploding in his jaw or nose, followed with the sickeningly metallic taste of blood...

The next thing he knew, Kenny was the receiver of an arm's full of mud. He fell under its weight as Liza laughed at the mound of mud he'd made. Kenny felt the pressure of all the mud, and wondered how strong Liza was. That must have been at least ten pounds of mud all at once. Not too heavy, but very hard to carry, mud is. Kenny lashed out and grabbed Liza's foot. Under normal circumstances, it wouldn't have budged. But the lizard was standing on wet dirt, which was very slippery. Liza fell in with a splash.

Now it was an all-out mud war as Kenny and Liza started to hurl balls of mud at each other. Kenny tried to build a wall, but got more trouble than what it was worth as Liza mercilessly threw mud on top of him. Kenny finally started to throw mud back while trying to dodge the incoming projectiles. Liza was having a ball. Even if he was going to need to scrub his scales afterwards, this was the most fun he'd had in years. He stopped when he couldn't discern Kenny from the other mud around them and called out, "Kenny? You there? I didn't get you too filthy, did I? Because, if I did, sucks for you! HAHA!"

"Too filthy! Nothing like you should have ever been born! I'm a fucking PIG_and you're most filthy than I! You little piece of shit."_ The anger lanced through Kenny for just a moment, but it was long enough for him to spring out of the pile of mud and tackle Liza, sending them both deeper into the mud, now wrestling.

Liza tried to get Kenny in a mock-chock hold, and Kenny tried to get Liza on his back. As they rolled around in the mud, the sun started to cast longer shadows by the minute, signaling the oncoming nightfall.

A short time later, Kenny was being held in a full-nelson on top of Liza's chest. "Give up?" Kenny tried to nod, but tapped the mud instead. Liza let hold of the boy, and they both stood up. Iggy, or was it Ziggy? Was floating on top of the mud, while its twin was on the hill they rolled in from.

"Come on Kenny. Let's head back and get cleaned up." Kenny took Liza's hand and they began their journey back to the house. They passed the benches, and Kenny stooped to pick a dandelion. He thought for a moment, and blew all the petals off of it. He watched them swirl in an invisible eddy, and then float off into the evening. Liza was intrigued.

"What did you wish for?" Kenny put a finger to his lips and shook his head, refusing to tell lest it not come true. "Well, fine then." Liza feigned being hurt and arrogant until Kenny tried to push him. Then he couldn't help but smile a ruffle Kenny's hair.

When they finally got home, Liza carried Kenny into the master bathroom, so that there would only be one set of tracks leading into the shower. He didn't want to clean the carpet more than what was needed.

Kenny looked in awe at the amazing shower that presented itself to him. It was at least six feet squared, with tall sides, and a domed ceiling. All along the walls were showerheads, and the glass door that allowed one to enter was pristine. Kenny saw a pair of muddied figures already in the shower, but saw that it was a reflection of them on the opposite wall of the shower; a mirror.

Liza walked in and pressed a button on a touch-screen panel set in the right wall, and all the water started. Amazingly, it was already hot. Liza helped Kenny take off the muddy clothes, and then sloughed his off as well. Kenny was embarrassed, and his cheeks were showing it. He'd never gotten naked in the locker rooms at school before, or been with a naked person like this before. But Liza was minding his own business, his back to Kenny as he scrubbed his scales with a liquid resembling watery shampoo.

Kenny rubbed the mud away with a bar of soap he found on the floor of the shower, and then rinsed off the suds. The array of angles the water was hitting him at was soothing and rather relaxing, which soon calmed his nerves.

Kenny heard Liza open the glass door and step onto a mat. He was rubbing his scaled dry, starting with his head. Kenny could help but take a peek while the lizard wasn't looking. Liza's body was perfectly chiseled from the years he'd spent in the SC, and looked man-made almost. His pecs were well defined, and he had a nice set of abs, all of which were glistening with water. Liza's legs were toned and strong, and so were his muscular arms. He was as buff as one could get while still being aesthetically pleasing.

As the towel started to lower from Liza's face, Kenny turned his head and attention back to his hair.

Liza lowered the towel, and caught sight of Kenny shampooing his hair. The boy's frame was lithe with youth he wasn't average, but was a little underweight. His skin had a cute little farmer's tan and made Liza smile. Kenny was so cute in the shower. The view was from behind, but it was better than nothing, really. Liza continued to dry off as Kenny rinsed his head of the bubbly froth.

"When you're done in there, tap the blue button to turn it all off. I'm going to get dressed and I'll bring you some clothes too."

Liza walked out with a towel back over the door instead of around his waist. Kenny had turned when Liza was speaking to him as the lizard left, and got a mental image he'd cherish. Liza's powerful tail swinging back and forth lazily and he walked out of the room.

Kenny shook his head and went to the panel. There was an array of buttons written in another language, and three happened to be blue. Just his luck. Kenny pressed one on the top-right corner. All the showerheads started to rotate in their individual sockets, making Kenny jump in surprise. The oscillating water was uncoordinated, making it seem as though one was in a random rainstorm with water hitting Kenny from all directions. He ran to the panel and hit the second blue button.

Liza was getting dressed in his room with a smile as he heard Kenny jump a little as the water changed trajectory. He knew there were three buttons that were blue, but he wanted to mess with Kenny one last time for the night. Then the music came on and Liza couldn't help but laugh out loud. Kenny did exactly what he wanted him to do. Liza walked out of the bedroom and into the guest room to get Kenny's clothes. When he got back, the music was still playing.

Kenny was having a blast. His favorite song, somehow on this planet as well, 'Don't stop believing', came on. He looked at the control panel, and saw the third blue button. He looked right above it and was one that changed colors. He pressed that one, and loved the results.

Liza looked in the bathroom to find Kenny rocking out to Liza's favorite song ever created. Not only that, but he was singing it too. Was it possible it was on Earth as well? And then Liza saw Kenny press another button, think it would stop all of the action. But no. Suddenly, the shower heads spit out water colored by lights from within the casings. Kenny was dancing in Technicolor changing water to his favorite song.

Talk about a watery rave free of drugs! Kenny loved the shower, until he opened his eyes and saw Liza peeking in. Kenny jumped and hit from sight in the back corner of the shower, where Liza couldn't see him.

"Sorry! I heard music and wondered what was going on. I have your clothes, by the way. I'll just set the down on the counter over here." Kenny heard Liza leave, and tentatively touched the third blue button, which turned off the whole shower at once.

The water ran off of Kenny in small rivulets as he reached for the towel on top of the door. Kenny put it up to his face to wipe it dry, but stopped when he smelled the shampoo stuff Liza used. It smelled earthy and natural. Kenny smiled into the towel, remembering peeking at Liza drying off with the very same piece of cloth.

By the time Kenny got done drying himself off, Liza had left the master bedroom and was in the kitchen making dinner. Kenny walked out, messing up his hair so it wasn't combed straight down, and stood behind the lizard. He tapped Liza's shoulder.

Liza looked over his shoulder and said, "hey there Kenny! Do you like beef stroganoff?" Kenny nodded and sat at the table, patiently waiting for his food to get finished. A short while later, it was being served on the table between the two.

Kenny was surprised at how well Liza could cook! The mushroom gravy was thick and rich, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the meat was exquisite. Kenny ate it slowly, unlike the flavorless oatmeal which he inhaled that same morning.

"You like it?"

Kenny nodded with a mouthful of noodles.

"Then you'll be happy to know what dessert is going to be," Liza prompted with a wink. Kenny suddenly couldn't wait for dessert to be served. And by the time that all of the plates were cleaned and put away, Liza pulled out a small cube, wrapped in a dark blue wrapper, and set it on the counter.

"Go ahead, try it. I have another for myself, but I want to see your face when you eat it," Liza said with a rueful smile. Kenny just nodded and picked it up carefully. It was squishy, but firm, and held its shape; much like tofu. Kenny unwrapped it to find that it was as clear as air. The only thing that was an indication of the candy was the weight in Kenny's palm. He gulped, and popped it into his mouth.

Cookies. Warm, fresh, chocolate chip cookies straight from the oven. Kenny's all-time favorite food of the history of ever. The cube even made itself seem hot, like a fresh cookie would. Kenny chewed with delight, and when it finally ended, he swallowed with contempt.

"Like it? It's a candy from a planet I visited a long time ago. I have only a handful left, but they say that this candy will taste like the devourer's favorite thing to eat. Mine is candy canes. What's yours taste like?"

Kenny drew a circle in the air the size of a cookie, and pointed to the oven. "A Pie?" Kenny hit his head on the tabletop. Shaking his head, he pretended to use a cookie-cutter. "Oh! Cookies! What kind? Chocolate chip? Oatmeal? Gingerbread?" Kenny nodded and held up one finger. "Oh I love chocolate chip cookies too. But you can never find any good ones anymore. They only come in processed packages and dough packed with preservatives."

Kenny nodded in agreement, and then yawned as the rigors of the day too hold of him. Liza pulled him up out of the chair and led Kenny into the guest bedroom which was across from the master room. Inside there was a modest Queen Size bed with mahogany sheets, a bunch of pillows, and a big down quilt. The walls were a mocha-brown with red borders and a crème ceiling. A window gave a view to the front yard and the street. Other than a rocking chair and a bedside table, that was all that was in the room. The closet had a pair of clothes that were a bit big on Kenny.

"They belonged to my partner. I couldn't bear to throw away all of my memories, so I kept two pairs of clothes. The one you're in and that one."

After Liza had given him permission to anything he needed in the night, and to wake him if anything happened, Kenny finally drift off into a sleepless slumber.

The floor was hard and dirty. He didn't even have a blanket or a jacket to use from padding or for warmth. It was only just getting dark, but Kenny could see the rain starting its cold decent now the heat of the day had gone away. Tonight was going to be a cold one. Kenny just hoped he didn't get another cold...
