Finally chapter three is here! Well I finally finished the third chapter in the sadness of the heart series. So here it is and enjoy!
July 2011: Hey guys just editing the first four chapters a bit, no more huge random gaps between each sentence. Anyway, chapter 5 should be done by the end of this week. (3 days)
Chapter 3
Truth
"Follow me... Chase." Umbreon says hesitating for a moment as he heads out of the cave.
"What, we just got back!" Chase complains when he sees Umbreon walk into the moon-lit forest. He sighs and follows Umbreon. "Hey are you sure were going the right way, this leads out of the forest." He says after noticing the trees depleting as they got farther.
"Yes this is the right way, we are almost there be patient." Umbreon said swiftly answering.
"Almost where!?" Chase raised his voice a bit.
"To where... I met your mother." Umbreon said before stopping at the top of a hill. "Here, here is where I met her." He sighed.
"She was a shiny Umbreon like you ya know." Umbreon said with a small grin. "She had purple rings." He finished.
"W-wait why are you just telling me this now dad? Did something happen?" Chase said nervously.
"It's... it's like this, when I first saw your mother she was very hurt and beat up... Close to death even. She was carrying your egg. When I came down the hill to see her she collapsed, she asked me to take care of you and then... she well passed." Umbreon said looking at Chase who now had a very sad confused look on his face.
"B-but... My mom is g-gone!? Then you're not my... dad?" Chase said backing up a little.
"Chase I'm sorry but I think you should leave the forest... Kyurone won't be happy if he finds out about this..." Umbreon said with his head down. Chase started backing up more.
"W-what... so now you hate me?! be-because I'm different and you want me to... leave?" Chase said in a buzz of words before turning and running the opposite direction.
"C-chase wait!" Umbreon says running after him but quickly looses sight of Chase.
Chase slows down at the top of a small hill. "Why did he... say that. I know I'm different but... what he said." Chase says still panting from the run. He starts to pick up speed until he bolts into a run down the hill. "I thought you liked having me as your son but now..."

"Heh heh, you did it your an Umbreon Chase!" Umbreon says chuckling.
"Yeah, yeah!" Chase says bouncing around the cliff-face.
"I'm gonna be like you when I'm big dad!" Says the young Eevee Chase.
"No I'm never going to give up dad!" Says Chase concentrating on the moon.
"You'll never catch me dad!" Chase says running around a small clearing close to the den.

"Why did you have to... why dad?" Chase says crying a bit. "I'm just the odd one out now. nobody likes me not even my 'dad'..." Just as he is about to give way to sleep Chase hears a loud scream, not just anyones scream. "Elina!" He says as his eyes bulge open. "I'm coming Elina!" Chase shouted as he darted to where the scream was coming from.
"Mike let me go now or I'll..." Elina said before getting cut off by the Mightyena. "Shut your mouth, it doesn't matter if you tell your father your just bait anyway!" Mike snaps.
"I'm not your bait!" Elina says breaking free of Mike's grip.
"Hey! I wasn't going to hurt you but now you've pissed me off!" Mike growls as he darts for her.
Chase arrives seeing Mike chasing Elina around in circles and is a bit confused. "Ummm... Are you two playing tag or is Mike trying to hurt you?" Chase says with a dumbfounded look on his face. "Chase, your here!" Elina says running over to him.
Just the Mike grabs her hind paw and throws her to the side. "Now the whole point of this nonsense!" Mike growls lunging at Chase.
"Gahh!" Chase said before dodging the attack at the last second. "Hey what was tha..." Before he can finish Mike pins him to the ground, but before Mike can get in a bite Chase unleashes a shadow ball throwing mike a few meters away.
"Want some more tough guy" Chase said in a threatening tone of voice. Mike backed off a little.
"You win this time small fry, but I don't forget easily!" Mike said limping away into the forest. Chase eyes Mike down until he is out of site. "You okay Elina?" Chase says lying down.
"I should be asking you that, you would have gotten killed if he bit your neck." Elina said in a frantic jumble of words.
"I'm alright, for now I guess." Chase says getting up and stretching.
"Oh Chase." Elina says walking over to him. Chase runs over to meet Elina and they hug and nuzzle one another. Elina kisses Chase and he kisses her back. "Wait... Chase you look different. Your rings are blue?" Elina said with a rather confused look on her face.
"You to... Fine then laugh all you want just like everybody else!" Chase shouts.
"No, I don't think its funny or weird. I love you Chase." Elina says as she pounces on Chase, making him blush. Chase and Elina casually walk over to the lake to drink. They stare into each others reflections before Elina pounces on Chase again. They flirt for a while, then fall asleep in each others arms.
"Princess Elina??? And.... Chase I think, yes thats it I wasn't really sure but... oh thats beside the point. Why are you two together?" Chatot screams in their ears.
"Huh, Chatot... Chatot!? What are you doing here?" Elina shouts back forcing chatot to take a few steps back.
"Ch-chatot?" Said Chase yawning. His eyes barely open, even from Chatots angry rant.
"He's a- a shiny, p-pokemon?" Chatot says ignoring the fact that Chase is right there. "I have to inform king Kyurone!" He says taking flight toward Kyurone's den.
"Uh oh... I should have listened to d... Umbreon, I should leave now!" Chase said.
"CHATOT Don't even think about it!" Elina shouts.
20 minutes later at Kyurone's den
"Your majesty!!" Chatot shouts as he approaches Kyurone just outside his den.
"Hmm? Chatot whats wrong?" Kyurone says confused as to why Chatot is shouting.
"Chase and princess Elina have fallen in love!" Chatot says landing on a shrub beside the king.
"So... what do you want me to do about that? I don't see anything wrong with it." Kyurone says laughing a bit.
"It seems that Umbreon isn't his father, so he is an outsider!" Chatot shouts once more.
"Wh-what impossible Umbreon himself said that he had a son..." Kyurone said getting a bit frustrated at Chase and Umbreon. "I will not allow this!" The mighty Arcanine howls.
"Oh no Chase thats my father... It will not take him long to get here you should leave now!" Elina says nudging Chase.
"No... I don't care Elina. I love you and he is not going to break us apart!" Chase said after hearing Kyurone's mighty roar.
