Species Swap-Bennett's-Farida

In this non-canon short story, Ellie's family has a very extreme reaction to her dating a cat. They plot to eliminate Jason with Ellie's sister taking the active role.

Jason felt warm and secure. He hadn't felt so secure since he'd slept with his mother, her warm body curled protectively around him. Jason stretched his legs, expecting he feet to push over the edge of the short bed. Instead they slipped between what felt like someone else's legs. Jason jerked his legs back as he shot into full wakefulness. Someone actually was holding him, wrapped around him like his mother, but he was too large for that now and definitely too large for his rabbit partner Ellie to wrap around. So who or what was holding him?! Jason nervously turned his head to see what must have been a very large cat. She didn't look like a big cat with her white fur and dark brown splotches, but she was certainly much bigger than him. She seemed to be sleeping, so Jason attempted to carefully slip away without waking her. He'd find Ellie and figure out what was going on. However, at his movement, she stirred, squeezing him against her chest as she yawned wide, revealing her long pointed fangs.

"Is it time to get up, Jason?" she murmured.

"Who are you? Where's-" Jason's voice came out in an unfamiliar squeak, and he paused.

"Who am I?" she asked bemusedly. "Are you still half asleep silly bunny? It's Ellie."

Jason was too stunned to respond immediately. Ellie?! How can she be a cat? Why's she so big? "H-how are-" Wait, 'silly bunny'? Jason ran his left hand up over his ears: not his usual triangular ears but longer, rabbit ears. He felt his teeth with his tongue: large incisors and flat molars. What was going on?!

"I-I'm a rabbit," he whined nervously. He didn't know how to be a rabbit! What would he do?!

Ellie let go of him and propped herself up to look down at his worriedly, "Are you okay, Jason?"

"I-I'm a rabbit, a-and you're a cat!" he yelped. Why didn't she see the problem?

Ellie's worried frown deepened, "Did what Mom said upset you? It's okay, Jason. She'll get used to the idea of me being with a rabbit. I think she's even starting to like you. You're such a sweet bunny. How could she not?"

"B-but I was the cat and-"

Ellie giggled, "Heeheehee, did you have a dream, silly? I'm the cat, and you're the rabbit. That's how it's been since I met you over five years ago now."

Nothing made sense. He knew he'd been a cat just hours ago. Why didn't Ellie remember? What else was different?

"How did we get away from the Duchess?"

Ellie frowned worriedly again, "You remember. The carnivore cult attacked, and we refused to go with her. The ferret who was taking my car got shot, and we were able to take it and get away. I brought you to my parents' house. We found Edgar in the back seat, so he's here too."

At least all that sounded the same. Did Ellie not remember being a rabbit during their stay at with the Duchess, or did she remember things differently? Jason wasn't sure he should press further. He didn't want to upset her too much or make her think he'd gone insane. Have I gone insane? He would try to figure out what was different without alerting her that he knew something was wrong. "Are you going to tell your parents everything that's happened since we took the Planter case?" he inquired.

"Yes. Well, everything except the really juicy bits," she teased. "They don't need to know about that."

Jason felt a flutter of embarrassment, but then he realized something: Ellie was a cat now, the species he was most attracted to. He'd enjoyed the sex they'd had when she was a rabbit, but now she was feline. Jason rolled over onto his back and looked up into her golden yellow eyes, and she grinned down mischievously. The cat grabbed his right wrist and pushed his arm up above his head, at the same time maneuvering herself to crouch on all fours over top of him. She took his left wrist in her other hand and pushed that above his head as well. Holding his arms, she lowered herself down, squashing him under her greater weight, making it a bit difficult to breathe. Ellie's larger body pressed Jason tightly against the bed. He couldn't escape the oppressive weight, and when he squirmed, that only allowed her body to push out his legs, squashing him even more completely. Her strong arms and powerful grip held his own arms immobile above his head. He was completely helpless, at her mercy. Jason let out a little moan of pleasure.

"Excited already, huh, bunny?" she teased. Ellie licked her lips. "Let's see how you like this." She opened her mouth, revealing her dagger-sharp fangs. Slowly, she lowered her jaws toward Jason's throat.

His heart pounded with a mixture of excitement and fear. She had him! There was no escape from her deadly jaws! Jason wanted to feel their grip on his throat, to know the feeling of penultimate submission. However, he found he also had an instinctual fear of her maw. Fortunately, he couldn't kick out or he might have accidentally hurt her. Finally, Ellie's jaws reached around his throat. She squeezed her sharp fangs against his skin, her canines seeking his pulsing blood vessels. Jason gasped as he ejaculated, ecstasy flooding his mind. The intense pleasure slowly drained away as he lay, squashed beneath the cat, her jaws still squeezing around his throat. He breathed heavily as he came back down from the euphoric high. Ellie purred and tightened her grip. Jason felt himself begin to get lightheaded as her jaws restricted the blood flow to his brain. He moaned again. He wasn't sure he could get off again so soon, but he could lie here for hours experiencing the domination of her oppressive weight and powerful jaws. Ellie tightened her grip again, and Jason felt himself slipping away into unconsciousness. He twitched as a small twinge of fear shot through him. She wouldn't accidentally kill him, would she?

"E-Ellie?" he murmured.

She only continued to purr as Jason slipped into darkness.

Jason awoke to Ellie holding him on her lap and stroking his head, "There you are, bunny. None the worse for wear, I hope."

"I'm fine."

"You had fun though, right?"

"That was amazing, Ellie," he breathed.

She smirked, "I'm glad you liked that. I took the liberty of cleaning you up while you were out. I hope that's okay."

He nodded.

"Let's head downstairs then."

They climbed down from the bed, and Ellie ushered Jason back to the great room. Jason paused in the doorway in surprise: the living room area was packed full with white and brown cats. Jason counted ten. They turned to look at him expectantly.

Ellie gently pushed him forward, "Go on, bunny."

Jason complied, slowly creeping toward the cluster of cats, whose yellow eyes pierced him as he drew nearer. The cats on the near side parted, and Ellie led Jason into the middle of the cluster. They closed around them, pressing in eagerly.

"H-hi," Jason squeaked.

"This is Jason," Ellie declared cheerfully. She hugged him comfortingly from behind and nuzzled his head.

One of the female cats held out her hand, "I'm Farida."

Jason took it, and they shook hands.

Another cat held out her hand, "Claire."

Jason shook her hand and then Daisy's, Aaron's, Beau's, Gwen's, and Henry's. He assumed the other two were Eli and Evelyn. It was a lot of people to keep track of.

"I have to use the bathroom," Ellie commented. "Get to know everyone, and I'll be back in a minute, Jason."

She left him in the cluster of cats, and Jason watched her trot away. He still felt nervous and wanted to hurry after her, but she would have teased him for trying to tag along while she peed. She disappeared into the hall, and Jason turned back to the other cats. Farida grinned wide in a happy--but toothy--smile. She stepped close, wrapping one arm around his back and pulled him to her chest.

"You certainly are the tastiest looking date Ellie's ever had. How would you like to come home with me? I think I have a nice warm place for you to stay."

Jason laughed nervously, "Heheheh, I, uh, I don't think Ellie would allow that."

Farida purred, "I think we could slip away." She rubbed his back and brought her other hand up to caress his cheek and neck.

Despite himself, Jason began to feel aroused. He tried to shake off the inappropriate feeling. "I-I don't think-"

She put her hand over his mouth, "Shh, just nod yes."

"What makes you think you get him!" Claire butted in.

"Shut it, Claire! I made the first move; that's what!"

Jason shifted nervously. He didn't want them to fight over him. "I-I'm sorry, ladies. I belong to Ellie."

Farida frowned at him, "Ellie doesn't want you. She only wants to play with you. I'll give you what you really want, a warm belly to melt in."

Jason's heart leapt in fear, and he pulled his mouth away from her hand, "I don't want-"

She quickly covered his mouth again, "Shh, you don't need to deny it. I'll take good care of you." She took his left wrist in her arm that had been around his back and pressed his hand to her belly. "Think how cozy you'll be inside." She put her arm back around his back and licked his head between the ears. "Let's go before Ellie gets back." She began to drag him toward the exit.

Jason struggled to get away, but the much larger cat dragged him easily. Evelyn grinned and waved. Shit. I don't think she was starting to like me after all! The cat dragged Jason out to a silver sedan and shoved him in the trunk, slamming it shut. Jason tried to find the latch in the dark compartment, but it seemed to have been covered somehow. The car peeled out onto the street, and Jason was thrown against the back.

Jason wasn't sure how long it had been: it seemed like hours. Finally, the car rolled to a stop, and the cat opened the trunk.

Jason cowered away from her reaching claws, "P-please don't hurt me."

"Shh," she grabbed his arm and pulled him out.

They were in front of a log cabin in the middle of a thick wood.

Holding him tight by the arm, the cat caressed his neck with her free hand. "You're all mine now."

She began to pull him toward the cabin. Jason tried to struggle, but she simply dragged him with her. Pulling him inside, she locked the door with a key and slipped it into her red handbag, zipping it shut. The log cabin was one room and, aside from the kitchen, was sparsely furnished. A worn dark brown couch sat in front of a stone fireplace, and a small oak table with two seats was between the couch and the kitchen. The floor, like everything else, was wood. The cat set her bag on the table and then dragged Jason back to the couch. Lifting him, she sat down with him on her lap. She wrapped one arm tightly around his middle and stroked his face with the other.

"Are you ready to fill my belly now?" she teased softly.

"Please don't," he whined. "Please don't hurt me. Let me go. Take me back to Ellie."

She massaged his ear, "You know you want to feed me. Don't resist it. You'll feel so good inside me, and I'll be gentle if that's what you want. Let me know how you want to die, and I'll do my best."

"I don't want to die!" he wailed.

"Shh," she stroked his head. "Everyone has to die eventually. You know you want to find your place in a cat's gut. I'm all too happy to oblige."

Jason sobbed. There was no arguing with this cat. She wanted to eat him, and unless someone came to save him, she'd get her way eventually. She took him by the neck and pushed him down onto the couch. She sat on his belly, squashing him. Keeping one hand on his neck, she stroked his face with the other. She shoved her fingers into the side of his mouth to force it open and smirked at his herbivore teeth.

"Poor little bunny. Don't you wish you had teeth and claws like these," she grinned to show her fangs. "Then you wouldn't be in this predicament."

"Why, Zeus?" Jason sobbed. "I never hurt anyone when I was a cat! Why am I being treated like this now?!"

The cat gave him a curious look, and then her mouth spread in a wide grin, "You remember! Oh, this is delicious!" She lay down on top of him and pressed her nose to his. "You remember that you're the cat. This is perfect," she growled softly.

"H-huh?" he whimpered.

"I was a little guilty thinking I was tormenting someone who didn't know he wasn't a rabbit, but now that I know you understand, I'm really going to have some fun with you. Now, I'm not going to let you off easy, kitty."

"W-what do you mean?! What's going on?!" he cried.

"It's like you said. You used to be the cat. Mom made a deal with Hades to teach Ellie the danger of associating with your kind. Our part of the bargain is that one of us has to eat you. Lucky me, double lucky now I know I'll really be eating a cat. You get to find out what it was like for rabbits to get torn apart by your miserable species."

Jason felt a weight of lead in his stomach, "I-I never did," he murmured weakly. "I didn't hurt Ellie even when they starved me."

"It's not about you personally, or not for me anyway. Mom wants you gone; I just want to make a cat know what it's like." She sat up. "Let's get started, shall we?"

She placed her hands on his chest, and extended her claws, sinking them into his flesh. Jason cried out in pain and fear. He was helpless to escape! Would she really rip him apart?! Purring, she extracted her claws and licked the blood off of one hand. She got off of him and stood beside the couch.

"Get up and run for me, kitty. Try to get away."

Jason sat up and tucked himself into a ball. He shut his eyes tight.

"I said run!" she yowled.

Jason squeezed his eyes tight as he could, "Go ahead and eat me if that's what you're going to do," he whined.

"I want to have some fun with you first," she shot back.

"It won't be fun for me. Just get it over with."

With a growl, she shoved him back onto his back, and pushed his legs away from his body. She held him down with one hand on his chest. Jason felt her hot breath on his face, but he kept his eyes shut tight. He felt her teeth reach around his throat.

"Can you take a message to Ellie?" he murmured.

Her teeth pulled away, "Go on."

"Tell her I'm sorry. I'm sorry we didn't get to have the life together we hoped. I hope she meets someone else she falls in love with. She deserves to be happy. I just wish we could have been happy together."

"Is that it?"

He nodded. Jason waited for her teeth to reach around his throat again. He waited a few seconds.

"Do you really love her?"

He dared to crack open his eyes: the cat was looking at him curiously.

"I do. I love her more than anything."

"Earlier, you said they starved you. What did you mean by that?"? "When the Duchess caught us, she starved me to try to make me eat Ellie."

"But you didn't hurt her? How long did that go on?"

"I think it was almost a week."

"Zeus, a whole fucking week." She paused. "And you think she loves you too?"

"I know she does."

The cat lifted her hand that was holding him down, "Fucking Tartarus. Mom and her stupid fucking deal." She frowned at him. "I don't want to eat you. I don't want to take you from Ellie."

"Wha-at happens if you break the deal?"

"I guess we just go back to how we were, and we'll have to explain to Ellie what happened." She looked at him concernedly. "And you'll know what we tried to do, and you'll be the cat again."

"I promise I won't hurt you. We can just forget it ever happened."

"Really? I almost ate you."

"You didn't though. That counts for something, a lot actually."

She pulled him up into a sitting position. "I'm sorry about clawing you."

"I'll be okay."

"You can claw me when we switch back if you want to."

He shook his head. "How do we switch back then?"

She glanced around as if looking for the god that wasn't there. "Hades? We want out! This whole deal was a mistake. None of us are going to eat him."

Nothing happened.

"What if we're stuck like this?" she muttered. "I didn't want to spend the rest of my life as a cat. I'm not even sure I like meat."

"I'll help find you some you do," Jason offered.

She looked at him guiltily, "You were almost the first meat I tried. How are you going to forgive me for that?"

Jason leaned forward and hugged her around the middle, "Because you're my family now, and that's what family does. We forgive each other."

She hugged him back with her near arm, "Family, that's going to be weird with a cat, or as a cat with a cat turned rabbit. Either way, we'll make it work."

There was a blinding flash of light, and when Jason's eyes recovered, he was looking down at a small dark brown and white rabbit, similar in size to Ellie but marked differently.

She looked up at him nervously, "H-hi, Jason. I'm Farida."

Jason held out his hand, and she took it. "It's nice to finally meet you properly. What do you say we go home? Our family's waiting."

She nodded, and they both hopped off of the couch.

He glanced at the much smaller rabbit, "First however, sometimes turnabout is fair play," he stated. He wrapped his right arm around her back and pulled her to his chest, placing his left hand on her head.

She stood stiffly.

"Shh, you don't need to be afraid because I'm a cat. I wouldn't ever hurt you," Jason murmured.

"I hurt you though," she whined.

"I forgive you for that and for scaring me. You're Ellie's sister, but even if you weren't, I wouldn't hold any ill will toward you. You were just confused. You know what's right now."

She hugged him back, and Jason purred. He petted her head, and she pressed the side of her face to his chest. He could feel her relax in his arms.

"That's better," he murmured. He held her a few seconds longer before he released her.

She looked up at him with a shy smile, "I see why Ellie likes you so much. I-if you weren't with her, I'd-ahem," she didn't finish the thought.

Jason felt his ear getting hot, "Heheh, well, there are plenty of cats out there if I'm your type, lots of tabbies."

"Not many as sweet as you I bet, but maybe that's something to look into," she murmured shyly. "Anyway," she turned toward her bag on the table.

She retrieved her bag and unlocked the door, and then they climbed back into the silver sedan together. Farida had to readjust the seat and mirrors, but then they were driving back down the gravel road to the cabin. They pulled out onto the highway, and she stomped the gas. Jason gripped the seat. Did the whole family drive as wildly as Ellie?! She glanced at him and giggled. Throughout the drive, Jason caught her sneaking furtive glances his direction. She looked away shyly when he caught her, but soon he could feel her eyes on him again. Jason hoped it wouldn't get awkward being around her. He didn't really mind, but Ellie might.

After about an hour, they pulled up in front of the Bennett domicile.

Farida glanced at him nervously, "Maybe I'd better go in first to explain."

"We'll go in and explain together," Jason stated.

They climbed out of the car, and proceeded toward the front door. As they walked through, Farida took his hand and squeezed it, possibly more to comfort herself than him. For his part, Jason wasn't really nervous; it was good to be a cat again. They found the other rabbits, minus Ellie, seated in the living room. They leapt up, their expressions turning to surprise, fear, and even horror as they spotted Jason.

"F-Farida?!" Evelyn wailed. "What have you done?! How is he still alive a-and, and a cat?!"

Farida squeezed his hand again, "You were wrong, Mom. He loves Ellie. I couldn't kill him when I knew that."

"B-but-"

"You don't have to worry, Evelyn. I'm not going to hurt any of you. I know you wanted to get rid of me, but I forgive you. You were scared for Ellie, but you'll see it's alright."

Ellie darted into the room behind them, apparently alerted by the commotion, and let out a cry of joy, "Jason! You're alive!"

She wrapped him in a tight hug, and Jason hugged her back with his right arm, his left being occupied holding Farida's hand.

Ellie turned her head to glare at her family, "Let's get out of here, Jason," she growled. "I never want to see any of these dirtbags again."

"I don't want you to abandon your family over this, Ellie. Farida saw the light; I think they will too. I can forgive them if you can."

Ellie looked at him incredulously, "They wanted you dead, Jason! They wanted to eat you!"

"I know, but Farida didn't eat me. She could have."

Ellie looked at Farida dubiously, "What made you have a change of heart?"

Farida looked at the floor, "I-I realized he really loves you. I couldn't take that away from you, and, and I see why you love him too."

"He tricked you, Farida! And now you've brought him back to have his revenge! What's he going to do to us now that he's the cat?!" Evelyn shouted.

"I'm not going to do anything," Jason answered.

"If we all attack, we can still overwhelm him!" Evelyn proclaimed.

"You'll have to get through me first," Ellie snarled.

"And me!" Farida added. She let go of his hand to hug him around the middle from the side, her arms under Ellie's.

"Farida, no!" Evelyn cried. "You were only with him a few hours! What did he say?! What did he do?!"

"He showed that he's kind! I won't let you hurt him!" Farida shot back.

"Evelyn, please, let's talk like people," Jason pleaded. "I'm not going to hurt any of you. Come here and I'll show you I don't mean you any harm."

"I'm not coming close to you! What did you do, Farida?! Did you bargain your life for the rest of ours?!"

"No, Mom! He won't hurt us, I promise!"

"How can you believe that?! He knows what we were going to do!"

Eli pushed out of the cluster of rabbits and strode purposely toward him.

"Eli! Where are you going?!" Evelyn cried.

"To apologize. I never should have let you talk me into this terrible scheme for even a second!" He stopped in front of Jason and looked up ashamedly, "I shouldn't have agreed to go through with it. I should have protected you. I'm sorry. I understand if you can't forgive me."

Jason opened his arms from around Ellie, and Ellie and Farida stepped aside.

"I forgive you. Come here."

Eli stepped into his arms, and Jason hugged him tight. Eli hugged him back. Jason released him, and Eli turned to the other rabbits.

"Come on, Evelyn. Admit you were wrong and apologize. Jason doesn't want to get revenge. He wants to be part of our family."

"I won't!"

Eli glanced at Ellie and Farida meaningfully, and they started toward the other rabbits. The others stood aside from Evelyn. She made a move to dodge away, but Ellie and Farida darted to catch her.

"No! Don't sacrifice me! We can win if we all fight together!"

"No one's being sacrificed, and no one's fighting," Eli stated.

Ellie and Farida dragged Evelyn forward, and Eli got behind her to push her. Together, the three of them forced her toward Jason. Jason felt bad that she was being made to come against her will, but it would be for the better when she saw he wasn't going to harm her. He opened his arms, and the three rabbits pushed Evelyn toward his embrace.

"No! I'm your mother, your wife! You can't feed me to the cat!"

"I'm not going to hurt you," Jason repeated.

They dragged her into his arms, and he wrapped them around her.

"No!" she cried.

She struggled to get away, but Jason held her tight.

"Shh, you're okay," he soothed. "See, I'm not going to hurt you."

She continued to struggle a few seconds longer but then gave up. "Go ahead and eat me. Just promise you won't harm the rest of them. It was my idea," she whined.

"I'm not going to eat you!"

"Whatever you're going to do, let me be the one to pay!"

"No."

"Please!"

"No one is going to pay. I forgive you."

She looked up at him, "Really?"

"Yes."

"But we were going to eat you!"

"I know, but Farida didn't. I know I might not be here now if it had been someone else who took me, but I'm willing to forgive you all. I want us to be a family. I don't want Ellie to lose you."

She studied him a few more seconds. Then she hugged him too, and she pressed her muzzle against his neck. "Thank you, Jason. You, you must really love her. I'm sorry for what we did, for what I tried to get them to do."

Jason stroked her head. "Let's never mention this again. It didn't happen. We're a family, and that's what matters."

Evelyn nodded, and Jason let her go. She stood back a second but then threw her arms around him again.

"Welcome to our family, Jason!"
