Chapter one
Kana swiped a paw over her brow, her soft snow white fur was sticking up in all sorts of odd angles. Her sleep had been restless, she did nothing more than toss and turn the entire night. Her dragon lover had come to her yet again his shinning silver scales gleaming under the full moons light, he'd frequented her dreams for the past seven months. Kara shivered at the memory of his claws caressing her, his hot mouth kissing and suckling her; if only she knew who the gorgeous dragon was, or even if he was real. Kara took a deep breath as she stood stretching out her long lithe body; she made her way to the bathroom for a long hot bath that would hopefully ease her ache.

Drake's eyes opened slowly he hated waking; leaving the embrace of his dream girl had become his morning ritual for the past seven months. The beautiful arctic wolf made sleeping well worth the time he wasted not training. The young knight rose from his bunk, his eyes looking over the other sleeping forms. Drake was a high knight of the kingdom of Arlinith; the he was the personal guard of the prince. A position he earned after years of fighting on the front line, 26 unmated with nothing but an 18 year old for company. It wasn't exactly his idea of a dream life but it wasn't bad either, he wanted a mate though being as rough around the edges as he was didn't make it easy. And what of the woman who claimed his dreams ever night, dream mating it was rare for his kind but not at all impossible. 'Maybe she'll be party of the wedding party from Wolvien, the princes bride was to arrive this afternoon.' He thought it was a good alliance to make the wolves were strong and good breeders. Drake blew out a breath as he began to dress, his hopes high that he would find his dream mate soon.

"Princess Kana we don't have time for this." Her maid said pulling her out of her bath; Allana dried her clucking the whole time. Kana smiled at her, Allana was a curvy older grey wolf who had looked after her sense she was a child.
"Allana, I'm sorry. I'm just tired and nervous." She said with a smile. "I don't even know this Prince Gabriel other than he is a blue dragon, and he came to me again last night Allana. What if he is my dream mate, I've heard that dragons have the ability to take a mate in their dreams." Kana said excitedly.
"Princess that is true but it is extremely rare, a dream mating hasn't happened in more than 50 years child. You're just having these dreams because you're uncertain of your marriage to the prince. It's just nerves it will pass." Allana chided as she dressed the young princess in a flowing blue gown that matched her eyes. "You will grow to care for Prince Gabriel, besides I've heard he is very handsome."
"And three years younger than me, he's is barely out of boyhood and already they are pushing him on me." Kana whined she had no use for inexperienced men. "At least, once this is all done I can finally have sometime to read without all of these silly wedding plans." She murmured unhappily.
"Come now princess it won't kill you to get your nose out of those dusty old books, there now don't you look lovely." Allana said stepping back to look her over. "Well come along then, your carriage is waiting and you don't want to be late for your first meeting with your future husband." The older woman took her paw and guided her out of the castle and hurried her into the waiting carriage.
Kana looked out the window as the carriage began to move, she was going to miss her kingdom. The woods that she ran through as a pup were passing her by as she set out towards her new home. And her new husband.

Drake smiled as he watched Prince Gabriel get ready, the younger man seemed very excited. "I've heard that Princess Kana is a very beautiful arctic wolf, I hope she is as sweet and kind as they all say." The prince said as he looked at Drake reflected in his dressing mirror.
Drake frowned for a moment, an arctic wolf 'no it couldn't be.' He thought shaking his head, before smiling back at his prince. "I'm sure she'll be wonderful, my lord. Though if you don't finished getting dressed you'll never find out." He said with a soft chuckle as he stood holding Gabriel's jacket out for him.
"Well now I'm ready, so come on let's go and meet my bride, Drake." Gabriel said before opening the door to his private chambers, Drake followed the eager young prince into the great hall. Drake's eyes wonder over the small wedding party until his eyes landed on the stunning wolf from his dreams. She stood tall her head held high wearing a deep blue and silver gown, a small woven silver circlet.
"Princess Kana you are even more beautiful than I've been told. I'm Prince Gabriel and it's an absolute pleasure to meet you." Gabriel said bowing and then kissing her knuckle lightly. Drake had to hold back a growl as he watched his prince kiss her paw, she was his mate. They'd been dream mating for 7 months and Drake wasn't sure he could stand by and watch her marry Gabriel not without putting up one hell of a fight. "This is my personal knight, Sir Drake." Gabriel said motioning towards him.

Kana smiled at the young prince he was handsome, his blue scales were polished and gleaming his grey eyes watched her carefully. Her eyes moved over to the tall dragon beside Gabriel, the knight kneeled before taking her paw in his claw. As he touched her, she felt bolt of heat lighting shoot through her. As he kissed her paw his eyes met hers, it was him her dream lover. She stared into his deep violet eyes, he was even more breath taking in person. "It's you..." She whispered before her world went black...
