Huay Chivo part 2
#2 of Huay Chivo stories.
Guilt. Concern. Sadness.
Four days had passed and the elementary school got spread rumors about Darren's incidents. Whispering and muttering, one gossip after another. Some say that he went through a mental breakdown and got sent to hospital, some say that he got seizures for some unknown conditions. But none of those are the truth of what happened to him. In a classroom, the teacher entered while many students are still chattering, and started his lesson.
"Alright, class please settle down and go back to your seat." Mr. Edward said. The students had quieted down and returned to their desks.
"Now as you all heard of what happened to Darren, he would be absent today. The principal told us that he would be taking family vacations and would be back until he gets better."
"What happens to him, teacher?" One of the students asked.
"I cannot exactly be sure of what happened, but all I heard was that he wasn't feeling well and just needed to take a break from school."
"I saw him rush to the gate of the school when the security try to stop him. He was fighting the security and screamed that there's a monster in the restrooms."
"I heard that he pee his pants when they took him to the principal."
"Is there a monster in this school?"
"I'm scared, teacher..."
All of a sudden the students in the class started to chatter once again, raising more of their concerns whatever if this monster is true or not.
"Please calm down!" The teacher spoke to try to quiet down the noises. "There is no monster that exists in this school! The principal has send the police to investigate a few days ago and they have not found any trace related to that. We don't know what exactly happens to Darren but please, we need to remain calm! We are going to start the lesson so let us review the story about the little prince."
As the teacher demanded, all of the students have seated once more and returned to their lessons. Everyone focused on the teacher. However, there is one student who seems to be troubling than the rest. A young kid with strange marks on his arms with brown, golden lines colors. Concerning for he was the last person who have met Darren before. Would some suspect me? But I didn't do anything wrong, He thought. But it can't be a coincidence.
"Mr. Aria! Would you please pay attention and read this chapter?!" said the teacher as he notice Akio's loss of thought.
"Ah! Y-yes teacher!" he hesitated. So he stand up and started to read the lecture.

When the class has ended, it was time for recess. Akio was walking through the hallways as he heard a few students about Darren. He was trying to figure out that is got to be some connections. Maybe someone saw us and tried to spook him? But then, who was it and why? And this monster; what was Darren that got him so scared of? He was trying to not remember what happened that day... but... Can it be? Could he..? When Akio tried to uncover it, he notice Mr. Mary walking to the teacher lounge. He headed to the lounge to ask her about Darren since he heard Mary was the last person who saw him. When he was near the entrance, some of the teachers started to have conversations. So Akio waited near the entrance and just listened.
"I don't want to talk about it! I already told the police that I didn't do anything for him. And I have proof since they saw the footage. So can I please let me take a break?" said Mary who sound tired and groaned with annoyance.
"I didn't mean to pressure you. But I was been wondering about it since these rumors had started with this 'monster' related. Did you see anyone else that got out of the boy's bathroom?" One of the teachers asked.
"No, at least I don't think so. After I went back to the classroom, I heard Darren's scream and I just look back when he was rushing passed me. I tried to stop him but that's where the security caught him for trying to leave the school. When I reached him, he looks so pale like he saw something horrible, desperately wanted to leave the school and that's where he started screaming there's a monster in the bathroom." She explained.
"Geez... I heard of that too from my classroom. I thought that it was some sort of prank. But if that's true... do you think there's some kind of ghost in the boy's bathroom?" A male teacher asked.
"Don't be ridiculous! Is obviously that someone scared him off by some scary costume." Said one female teacher.
"But did anyone find some costume or anyone in that bathroom? "
"Probably they use the window to escape to make sure they don't get caught."
"Well whoever they are, they did real good for hiding in the camera from outside. Because there was no trace that someone jump out of the window. I heard Darren's mother that he would be transferring to a new school and won't be back. Heard also that he would be evaluated by the psychiatrist in case of mental breakdown."
"Oh dear... what could it happen to him...?"
As they continued their discussions, Akio felt disbelieved. How is this even possible? But Akio knows who was the culprit... it was him. He probably did something to Darren. He's behind from all of this. Akio has no choice but to talk to him.

After school was over, Akio was at home alone in his room. Seriously as he look in the mirror for prepared mentally for what he would going to say. He took a deep breath and exhale.
"What did you do to him... Huay." He called.
A sudden reflection of Akio has turned into a dark figure. The figure looks much taller than Akio's, he has one long horn while the other looks like it's been cut off. There was no way to describe him more since he is a silhouette with red eyes that glows.
"Why do you give me that look? I did what you ask me to." The black figure spoke.
"I didn't ask you anything! You did something to Darren didn't you?!" Akio shouted.
"Meeh... yes, I did spooky stuff from that little pissy pants." He admitted, nonchalant with a shrug.
"Why did you do that for?! Because of that, he got freaked out and move out to a new school!"
"But didn't you want this from the beginning?" he asked. "Don't you remember what he did to you that day? Over some stupid toy, he gained up with his buddies and kneel you down while he started to punch you on your stomach?"
He knew what Huay was been talking about. From that bullied... from that betrayal. He must have heard what Akio whisper that it was not intention... but it did. Akio shocked. Felt that it was his responsibility.
"I... I didn't mean to... I didn't wish this to happen..." he stuttered.
"Well, how was I supposed to know if that wasn't what you wanted it? He treats you like trash and now you still care about that idiot?"
"N-no that's not... I mean... I ..." Akio was trying to say something more of his defense. But it cannot say anymore...
_"Don't feel like it was your fault, He had it coming. It's called retribution, kid. If they bite you, bite them back! There's nothing wrong to return the same pain as they give you."_He disputed.
"I-I didn't want this..."
"God, you are so weak. Why do I have to stuck with you if you can't fight back? Learn to stand up yourself."
As he said his last statement when the dark figure suddenly disappeared, leaving left of Akio's reflections on his shameless expression. He felt so dumbstruck, he thought he was able to control his power but... it got slipped over from that. Akio keeps thinking if there is a way to fix this. But there's no way to reverse it and is already too late. Feeling with frustrations, he tried to walk out of his room to find a way to calm down. But that's when he noticed later that his mother was standing there, hearing all of the conversations between Huay and him.
"M-mom... I..." he paused, trying to not say any more.
"...We have to talk this out. Tell me what exactly did happen in your school?" she asked.
His emotions are going crazy with one thing after another. He couldn't say anything with reason. So he tried to control his breathing once more. And tell her the truth about his school life.
