Being the pack leader is always a big responsibility. More so when your pack is a bunch of misfits who thought being a werewolf would be easy. What's a leader to do when one of the wolves won't get with his program?

I've been making a big effort to clean out my commission editing backlog... I'd always "finished" the stories, but I was bad about doing the final bits of polish they needed to shine. I always kept telling myself there would be time to do it later, and before long I looked up and realized I had stuff as far back as 2016 to finish... So I'm trying to clear all of those out.

Sadly, because of that, I lost the contact information of whoever this was for. All I know is that it was someone named "Red". But I can't for the life of me figure out who that was.

So Red, if you're reading this, I hope you enjoyed it~

Also... just as a far warning, some of this was inspired by a story by Ben Goodridge called: "Hotel LaRue". Though, as far as I'm aware, he never posted it. I tried to twist it enough to make it my own, but I'd feel bad not giving him credit. Our stories are very different, but some of the world was the inspiration for this, and it would be wrong of me not to say so.

I still miss the smell of the forest.

There was so much life to it. Even in the dead of winter, you could breathe in and inhale the scent of something thriving. But here in this city, when I breath in, all I usually smell is metal, exhaust, and oil. If I could go back, I would in a heartbeat, but they needed me here. Tonight, was one of those nights where I'd found myself restless. The full moon always made me restless, not just because I was a werewolf, but because with my night vision, the night looked as bright as a cloudy day.

I had other reasons to feel uneasy under the full moon. My pack liked to hunt on nights like this. The moon's glow heightened their senses, and not a single rabbit in a 20-block radius would be safe from their fangs. But, with the moon bright, everyone and anything could see them. Knowing they were out there always brought a sense of unease to me. I always worried they might not come back to the little warehouse we called home.

It brought a little smirk to my muzzle every time I thought about when the city tried to kick us out, and stopped when they realized how much they saved every year on pest control and roadkill collection. Though... I would love some elk, eating raccoon every day gets old real fast. But, it's why we get to stay here, so I put up with it. My pack might be a band of misfits, but they were my pack after all, and I needed to keep them safe. Most of them could never survive in a forest, but here they at least stood a chance.

I worked my way to the edge of the warehouse's roof, sat down, and let my feet dangle over the ledge. I leaned up against a thick exhaust vent and I looked out at the glowing city in front of me. When I was a pup, it might have looked magical, but now it just seemed like the norm. The buildings seemed to reach for the stars, there lights outshining them in defiance, as the humans tried to distance themselves from nature as much as possible. Maybe that's why they idealized werewolves so much, because we'd embraced it while they ran from it.

I yawned and looked at that cityscape, and if I'd nodded off at that moment my ears might not have picked up on the footfalls escaping into the night. My head snapped towards the main gate, and my face twisted up into a snarl as I saw a werewolf in a tattered jacket and baseball cap leaping over the fence.

"Fuck!" I growled, "That kid is going to be the death of me..."

I leapt from the roof onto the top of an old semi-trailer, before my paws hit the ground and I took after the creature that had drifted out of sight. He'd tried to mask his scent this time. He'd rubbed his fur down with dirt and oil so that he smelled like the city around him. But it was his toothpaste that gave him away, that minty scent always stuck out like a sore thumb. It was something he couldn't force himself to give up from when he was still human, he said he couldn't sleep without brushing his teeth. Not that he needed to anymore, but to each his own.

He was getting better at concealing himself too, maybe he'd been paying attention to my hunting lessons for once. He even tried doubling back, and running through a creek that ran through the industrial complexes, but his toothpaste made glimmer like a flashlight in the dark. My nose flexed as I followed him through the industrial district, and into the main part of the city. He was ducking between alleys and jumping over chain link fences trying to outsmart me, but he should've known by now that he couldn't. Finally, his scent drifted down an alleyway I knew had no exit, it just ended in a brick wall that went all the way up it. He was panting, his chest heaving as he slammed the solid wall with his fist. He turned around, and his eyes met mine.

"Roy, we've been over this." I said in a stern tone. "You can't leave the den yet."

"I can't take it there anymore, Joseph!" He growled back. The young black wolf had such fire in his eyes, and he glared at me with what looked like rage, but I knew better.

It was fear.

It was the same fear he'd had on the day I'd found him.

"Why?" I asked calmly as I kept my back straight and my heckles raised to make myself look bigger than him.

"I belong in the forest! I belong somewhere I can be a REAL wolf! Not trapped in a warehouse all day digging holes in the dirt and listen to you prattle on." The young wolf growled back.

"You're not a real wolf though," I said as I took a step forward, "at least, not yet." I watched him take a step back, and I had to keep back a smirk. "If you were, I wouldn't have been able to find you so easily. You've been a werewolf for less than a month, you would never survive in a real forest."

"That's not true! I've wanted this since I was a kid, I can do it Joseph!" He shouted.

"Then answer me this, what's the best denning material for winter?" I said as I took another step forward and he flinched. My eyes never left his, my piercing hazel eyes staring into his blue. "How can you tell if a deer is too sickly to eat?" I advanced again, and he took another step back - this time his back was against the wall. If he'd been another werewolf, one that had been one since birth, I might have been afraid, but he wasn't. "What do you do if you stumble in another pack's territory without permission?"

"I... I... I don't know, okay! But I'll figure it out!" Roy snapped back at me.

"Alright, then fight me," I said conversationally. "Prove to me you can protect yourself. Prove to me that you're a real wolf." I moved so that we were face to face, my nose hovering just inches from his own as my hot breath rolled across his lips.

The black wolf didn't hesitate, which was good, but it was a little foolish because he had no idea what he was doing. He tried to lunge at me with his teeth, relying on them like they were a bullet escaping a gun, and not the sword they were. I easily dodged it, and I planted a bare paw against his chest and slammed him back into the wall. Normally I would have had boots on, but I was in a hurry tonight. The forest was kind to bare paws, the city was not. I took a step back and gave him some room to regain himself. He yelped in pain as I crouched down and readied my stance. I kept my paws and hands on the ground, glaring at him like I used to when I sized up whitetail deer after a long cold winter.

He staggered back and he shook his head. That baseball cap he refused to take off wiggled against the holes he'd cut out for his new ears. Roy huffed and he sized me up for a moment, and then he charged for me. He moved quickly, but I was faster. He went to zip past me and circle around, but I leapt up and slammed into him with my shoulder- knocking him back once again. He growled, rage filling his eyes, and then he lunged straight for me with his teeth bared and his claws out. I sighed and as he went for my neck, I dropped down, and swiped at his paws, which dropped him onto his ass.

"If you weren't a member of my pack, you'd already be dead. Do you think any other werewolf would take this kind of shit from you? You're a whelp trying to act like a man. You have to earn your place in life, it isn't something that's given. Just because you found some two-bit wizard on craigslist to give you a wolf's body, doesn't mean you are one. You have to learn to be one." I explained as I readied for his next attack.

"Well, I never wanted to be a member of your pack anyway!" He snapped.

"Oh really, I recall you begging for help when I found you under that overpass. When you had your nose buried in the dirt as you tried to stop the assault of smells hitting your new nose. When your sense were so overloaded you could barely think," I growled. "You never would have lasted five seconds without me, and you know it."

Maybe he was finally learning or maybe I'm getting old, but the next time he lunged at me I reacted just a bit too slowly. He was on top of me, and he'd knocked us both to the ground. I was thankful I'd decided to put on some tattered blue jeans that night, because scraping my thighs and ass on the broken glass in the alley would have sucked... it was bad enough what it did to my back, I'd hate to of picked it out of my sheath. We struggled, the young pup actually managing to get a nip or two in that broke the skin.

We rolled around and around, until finally I grabbed him by the shoulder with my muzzle and gripped down hard. These new wolves from the city always tasted like candy. Years of junk food had tainted their blood with a strange sickly sweetness. It didn't have the pure copper taste of a werewolf who had been raised in the wild like I had been. He yelped in pain, and he lost his concentration. I was able to wiggle free of his grasp, roll him on his stomach, and pin him to the ground.

I put my knees over his upper arms, and I sat on his back. I reached forward and I grabbed his muzzle with one hand, and the other covered his nose. Blood slowly dripped onto the ground from the wound in his shoulder, and he started to struggle under me as he desperately sought out air. I released my grip for a moment, and let him suck in that life giving substance, before I clamped back down again and took it away. I let him go without long enough just to make him afraid, before I let up again. He gasped for breath, and I leaned down and whispered in his ear.

"I win."

I sat on him for a moment, wondering what to do next, and then I realized what I needed to do. I stood up, dusted off my jeans, and I crouched down. I grabbed him by the muzzle, and forced him to look into my eyes. His ears were flat against his skull, and he whimpered as he looked with fear into my gaze. "I beat you. We know who the better wolf is. So I'm going to give you a choice. You can leave now, spend the rest of your days ostracized by the humans and hunted by the other werewolves. Or," I said as I squeezed his face a bit to drive home my point, "you submit to me fully and truly. No half measures. No insincere yeses. You say right here and now I am your pack leader, and you will do whatever I say or you walk away from me, my pack, my guidance, and my protection." I leaned in close until our noses were almost touching, and this made the young blood whimper in my grasp.

It took him only a moment to make his decision, and I watched some of his arrogance fade from his eyes as he whispered, "I submit..."

"Louder!" I growled.

"I submit!" He howled. I let go of his face, and stood up.

"Take off your jeans, and on your knees," I ordered.

"But..." He started, but a growl in my throat quickly cut him off. He scrambled to his feet, slipped off his jeans, and got down on his knees. I pushed him forward so he was on all fours, and I squeezed his ass.

"You do remember what I said about submission, right?" I asked as I rubbed over his rump.

"Yes... A pack shows their submission by lifting their tails, and... and if he chooses, getting bred by him," he stammered.

"Right, I wasn't going to do this to you for a few more weeks, I was also going to ease you into our way and teach you how to enjoy this more... but you've tested my patience." I stood up, and dropped my jeans. I stroked my grey sheath and the thick red cock that was starting to rise from it. I fished in the pocket of my jeans for a bottle of lube, and then tossed them aside. "I'm going to give you one last chance to walk away, whelp. I am not going to force you to do this, if you submit to me, you're doing it willingly. But if you really want to be a werewolf, if you really want to be one of us, this is something you'll need to learn to do."

"I said, I submit, sir." He said as he lifted his tail, and I smiled. I helped him take off that jacket of his, and I tossed it on top of my jeans and his. I ran my hand over his strong young muscular back, and I squeezed his much younger rump in my hands. I was old enough to be his father, and now I was going to be pumping my dick into him.

"Good boy," I said as I squirted some of the lube onto my fingers and spread open his cheeks to show off that pink virgin pucker in that sea of oily black fur. I slipped my finger into him, and the boy shuddered. "Now just relax. I'm your pack leader, I'm always going to do what's best for you. You just need to trust me." He huffed and nodded. It took a few moments, but he relaxed. I teased his hole a bit, slipping another finger inside as I leaned down and nuzzled his balls. I took in a whiff, inhaling that rich wolfish scent that poured from them. It was so strong. So young. So virile, and it was all for me. He was a part of my pack, I was a part of him, and I was about to strengthen that bond. I heard him moan as I started to lap at his balls, I kept breathing in his scent, waiting for some of that fear to melt away as that pleasure replaced it. I wanted to smell his fear go away, so I knew he had no doubts about what he was going to do.

It was slower then I would have liked, but eventually he relaxed and I could smell the anxiety and fear in his scent drop. It was like a sour fruity smell, it was so strange when mixed with his normal minty smell. I squirted some of the lube over my red shaft, and smeared it across the length. One bright side about the city was not needing to use some... stranger things... as lubricant for these types of play. The humans sure were good at making things to fuck with. I slipped out my fingers, and I took my muzzle away from his balls. I rested my dick between those two dark scoops of fur, and I growled lustfully as I slowly rocked my dick back and forth between those muscular cheeks.

I pulled back, and I ran a hand over his back as my other guided my dick to the entrance of his tight pink hole. I huffed and pressed forward to bury myself deep within my packmate. I watched the muscles on his back tense, as his ears laid flat against his skull. I leaned down over him as I slowly sank inside, letting his defenses slowly fall as we joined together as one. I felt myself hilt inside of him, my grey hips meeting his firm rump. I leaned down and licked at his bloody shoulder, that sweet candy flavor in my muzzle as I tried to help stop the bleeding. I wondered if that human part of him thought I was tasting him. I started to slowly let my hips rise and fall, slowly breeding that young wolf with my older shaft. It was rather amazing how quickly he took to it, most newbies took a while to get use to their pack leader and their packmates breeding them, but he was a natural. His warm insides felt so good wrapped around my shaft. The heat of his body was just so wonderful.

I nuzzled into the back of his neck, and I squeezed him tightly around the waist as I pounded my cock into him again and again as my subtle knot started to form. It pushed him open just a little more with each thrust, and I reached down to rub his black sheath where his own cock was starting to get hard. I grasped his dick with my sick paw and started to slowly stroke it. I heard a little moan escape his muzzle, and then the smell of embarrassment hit the air. Clearly, he wasn't expecting to enjoy this so much.

"We're just doing what wolves do. But, I bet this wasn't in your books, was it whelp?" I asked, teasing just a bit.

"No... no sir!" He squeaked as I pounded my dick into him.

"But it feels good doesn't it? Like you were meant to be bred by your pack leader, right?" I asked.

"Oh god yes..." He moaned without thinking as my paw squeezed at his bulging forming knot. I huffed a bit, and I decided to hurry things along. I started to stroke his cock quickly as I angled my hips to pound at that pleasure knot inside of him. He whimpered with need, and his whole body shook with pleasure as those black furry orbs pulled up close to his body. He howled into the night as his cock pulsed in my hand and his cum splashed across the ground. I grinned, and kept stroking him as he came down off his orgasm making the cutest little whimpers and whines of pleasure escape his lips as his ass milked my cock wonderfully. I growled and I bit down on the scruff of his neck hard enough to leave a mark but not break the skin again, and I came into him.

I coated his insides with my cum. I let my scent fill him so every would know he was a part of my pack, and he belonged to me. I wanted everyone to know just who his pack leader was as I let my narrow knot pulse inside of his ass and throb against his prostate. I relaxed my grip on his neck, and I tenderly licked at it as I came off my orgasm. I gingerly took his muzzle into my hand, and I guided it to mine. I looked into his eyes tenderly, and then I leaned in and gave him a kiss. I could smell his blush again. It was so cute. I broke the kiss when my cock softened enough to spill from him, and I stood to my feet. I grabbed our clothes, and I helped him to his feet.

"Let's head home," I said warmly.

"Yes sir," he said, "but can I have my pants back first?"

"No," I said with a chuckle, "I want everyone to see that you're now a real member of our pack."

I nosed at his cheek and the two of us walked side by side back to our den. It was so nice smelling Roy bathed in my scent. He finally felt like a real member of my pack, and not just an outsider that was looking in. He still had a lot to learn, and a lot of ways to grow, but one day he might make a fine wolf.

My pack might be made up of misfits, outcasts, and humans who got in way over their heads- but they were mine and I wouldn't have it any other way.
