#8 of Star Wars

The three droids are sent out on a delivery mission. What could go wrong?

Gamorr

Buklam was locked into a missionary position with Thikok on top of him. Their trip to Lira San had put Buklam into a great mood. The lasat locked his lips with Thikoks. The both of them made out passionately as the shistavanen plowed his hips forth. Buklam let out a startled yelp as Thikok brought it home. He plowed his fat knot into him and let out a deep howl of pleasure.

Buklam pushed into a loving kiss with him to keep both of them quiet. Thikok chuckled as he blasted his seed into the lasat's depths. Buklam clenched down on the cock within him, holding onto his dear lover. Thikok pulled from the kiss with a deep breath.

"Mmm, we really need to do this more often," Thikok smiled over him.

Buklam rubbed his hands over the furry chest of his lover, "We never get that much quiet time. The ship's either breaking or we're in distress, or the kids need us for something."

"We're just the strangest parents," Thikok licks him on the face.

"C'mere you," Buklam pulled him down hard into another kiss.

Outside was the rest of the crew. Bokoof had just finished his race and was drowning himself in a pool of water. He was scrubbing out all the greenery and grease from his fur. Gamorr had proven to be quite the challenge, but he finished in a cool third right behind Vee and Hela. Hela had proven once again that this was her track.

Bokoof sank himself into the water, "I could swear all this muck from the swamp is not coming out."

"Here, let me help," Lokrut slid his pants off and got into the water with Bokoof, "Turn around.

Bokoof handed him the brush and soap he'd been using. Lokrut tossed the brush aside and started to brush up through the other shistavanen's fur. He was pulling out bits of bramble and mud from his fur. Lokrut slowly clawed along Bokoof's back, taking out all the grime. Bokoof leaned back into the scratching.

"While you're at it, give me a massage," he joked.

Lokrut blushed, "Are you flirting with me?"

"Maybe I am," Bokoof smirked.

Lokrut continued to help Bokoof until he was satisfied that he'd made him grime free. Lokrut shoved him down into the water. Bokoof laughed and sputtered as he fell into deeper waters. He splashed Lokrut and laughed as he started to swim away. Lokrut took off after him. Bokoof and him got into a splash fight as the rest of the crew watched.

"I'm surprised they haven't bedded," said Grok.

Dokraar handed him one of the sandwiches he'd made for everyone, "Sometimes I think Bokoof doesn't understand relationships. The Jedi warped his brain."

"Hey now!" Nuz interjected, "I turned out just fine."

Dokraar laughed, "Yes you did. Bokoof turned out fine too. But damn if he's dense sometimes."

"I think he just doesn't rush into anything unless it's dangerous," said Nuz.

"A relationship isn't dangerous?" Daddus asked.

"Hey!" Dokraar threw a piece of bread at the selonian.

Daddus laughed, "Besides, his love is his swoop. He's so dedicated to his craft. I think without being a jedi, he needed a new passion. It filled a tremendous hole in his life."

"And ours," Dokraar sagely nodded.

Both the naked shistavanen came prancing up from out of the water. Bokoof shook his fur out over everyone.

"My sandwich!" Grok cried out as it was pelted with the water.

"Extra protein from whatever's in that lake," Dokraar laughed.

"Oh, the water's fine," Bokoof laughed as he sat down, taking the sandwich out of Grok's hands, "You can get a new one. I'm starving after that race."

"Once we're done with dinner, do you guys want to practice?" Lokrut asked.

"Yes!" Sheef piped up, "You don't have to if you're tired, Bokoof."

"Me? Tired? After a little old race?" the shistavanen booped the squib on his nose, "I'm all yours."

"Speaking of practice, has anyone seen Enko?" Daddus asked.

"Not since the race," said Dokraar.

"I know he's an old man, but how long before we go looking for him?"

"Give him a few more hours, and we'll try and raise him on communications," said Dokraar, "He's survived all these years, and Gamorr is an easy place to hide and blend in."

"Or be eaten," said Lokrut as he chomped a sandwich in half.

"Or that," Dokraar chuckled.

Buklam and Thikok came tumbling out of the ship to join them for dinner. Both of them were unsteady after their little session. Buklam most of all. His legs felt like jelly as he sat down and pulled the plate of food his way.

"Did you want to join us for practice, Thik?" Sheef asked.

Thikok raised an eyebrow, "Oh? Do I need practice?"

"Yes," said Nuz, "You need to learn to defend yourself against vicious bed lasats."

Buklam turned a shade of purple, "You mind your business."

Nuz punched him in the arm, "Only teasing."

Buklam punched him back twice as hard in his arm, "Ye just jealous."

"Grok is plenty for me," Nuz smirked.

"Wait, are you practicing to defend against me?" Grok inquired, "I know I've a mean bite, but that's no reason to work against me."

The group laughed. After a share of wine they were ready to find a decent clearing to practice. Sheef led the way through the brush. He was swinging his lightsaber through the vines and branches that blocked their way. They found themselves in a nice clear area not too far from the ship. One side was a mountain and one side thick forest.

"Good spot as any," said Nuz, "Nice and hidden."

"Lokrut and Sheef, fall in line," said Thikok as he took the lead, "From what Nuz and Bo have told me, you both are doing fine in learning. However, there's a difference between learning and doing."

"What do you.."Sheef started to ask but was startled by the sudden whoosh of Thikok's blade at the both of them.

Sheef and Lokrut both fired up their lightsabers as Thikok came at them. Age did not stop him from being nimble. The shistavanen leapt up against the trunk of the nearest tree, the claws in his feet digging in as he took aim. He sprung off the tree and swirled around like a bullet at both Sheef and Lokrut.

The two of them split off in different directions. Thikok kicked mud up at Lokruts face, catching him off guard. He then took a few swings at Sheef. The squib was ready and blocked every swipe from Thikok. Lokrut had wiped the mud off his face and Thikok reached back to block his swing. Sheef took the chance to swing in but Thikok force pushed him away.

Lokrut found himself being pushed back by the force Thikok used to move his blade forth. Lokrut jumped back to get out of range. Thikok took his position and motioned for the other shistavanen to advance on him. Lokrut whirled his purple lightsaber around to try and distract Thikok with the direction he was taking.

Thikok was more than ready for this as they started exchanging blows back and forth. Lokrut was able to keep up with Thikok's speed, but his arms were starting to feel tired. Thikok was clearly more solid than he was. Sheef was back to battle. He activated the spin on his blade. Thikok force pulled the lightsaber out of his hands.

The squib cried out as Thikok sent it whirling after him. This gave Lokrut a chance to gain the upper hand. Lokrut swept out Thikok's legs from under him. Thikok dropped his lightsaber and landed on his back. Lokrut pointed his blade down at Thikoks throat.

"Got you," said Lokrut.

"Do you?" Thikok asked.

Lokrut looked out of the corner of his eye to see the spinning green blade just centimeters from his neck. Lokrut bit into his lower lip and turned off his lightsaber.

"A draw then?" Lokrut laughed.

"I'll let you have it," Thikok jumped up and grabbed onto Sheef's lightsaber and turned it off, "Sheef, what did I tell you about force users?"

"Not to face them" Sheef sighed as he took his blade back.

"You should have ran to safety," said Thikok, "Remember, I'm friendly, they're not. This is great for a shield against blasters, getting through doors, and taking out some droids. But not facing actual force users. We'll cheat."

"I'm sorry," Sheef lowered his ears.

"Hey," Thikok lifted his chin up, "You'll learn. I caught you off guard because I need you to learn. I want you to be safe."

"Thanks Thik," Sheef hugged around his waist.

Thikok patted him on the back, "Good boy."

"I can't believe you threw mud in my face, I just got cleaned up," Lokrut complained.

"Always use your environment to your advantage," said Thikok, "Everything is usable if you're willing. Mud, trees, branches, rocks. Anything you can throw at the opposition. The safety of innocents comes first at all costs. The safety of yourself comes second. You must be willing to do anything you can by any means necessary to not have bystanders become victims. You lead the battle away if you can. Then you concentrate on saving your own neck."

Lokrut nodded, "Understood."

"Come on," Bokoof called to them, "Let's run through the scales. We're going to add more steps today since Master Thikok decided to run you through the gauntlet. We need to get you taught some new techniques."

The five of them practiced running through positionals and strengthening defense. Thikok was taking the lead. Nuz and Bokoof were surprised he was. Thikok had kept them all at bay and had shown no interest in helping teach Lokrut and Sheef. He now reminded Bokoof of the master he had grown up with. Two pairs of watchful eyes were overlooking their progress.

Sirrfhukk came running down the hill with Enko riding on his shoulders. The wookie waved his arms bellowing and howling down to them as he approached. The four jedi and the squib exchanged surprised looks. The wookiee came to a skidding stop in the mud as he stared at them all, awestruck.

Enko slid down the wookiee, "Sirfhukk, may I introduce Jedi Master Thikok and Jedi Knights Nuz and Bokoof. Padawan I guess in a sense, redeemed Sith, Lokrut. And of course, blade master Sheef."

Sirrfhukk let out a happy bellow. He approached Bokoof and lifted him off his feet into a bone crushing hug. He then proceeded to do it to the rest of them. He was quite joyful in his barks and churls. He then confronted Bokoof with annoyance.

"I know, I know," Bokoof smiled, "But, I had to keep it secret, you know."

"Sirfhukk and I fought side by side long ago on Kashyyyk," said Enko, "He was uncertain it was really me at the party, but he was bold enough to ask."

"We did all we could to save their homeworld," said Thikok.

Sirfhukk chuffed at him in thanks.

"I appreciate the sentiment, but all we did was for nothing," said Thikok.

Sirfhukk frowned and growled in disagreement.

"The Jedi touched more lives than we know," said Enko, "There are those like Sirfhukk who believe the Jedi will come back to save us all. He never once believed we led to how we live now. The Wookiees are smart and old, they know the emperor pulled the wool over everyone's eyes."

"We've yet to confirm that he's really gone," said Nuz, "There's scattered voices all over the galaxy."

Sirfhukk chuffed and growled. He explained to them how the uprising against all the Empire's ships had increased in number. For him, this surely meant that a drastic change had been made.

"What if we came out of hiding?" Bokoof asked, "If we reached out to the rebel forces?"

Thikok bit against his lowerlip, "I don't know. We're still trying to reach out to our contact. He's gone full quiet now. I say we give it a few more months. We'll go about business as usual."

Sirfhukk agreed that would be for the best.

"How about after the swoop circuit we go to the rebels if we haven't heard from our contact?" Bokoof suggested.

"Very well then," Thikok nodded, "And you better stay in the whole time."

Bokoof looked offended, "Oh come on, I've been keeping myself in a good position."

Sirfhukk snorted at him.

"Oh, right, cause you're so much better than me," Bokoof crossed his arms, "You got eighth today."

Sirfhukk picked him up and tossed him into a mud puddle.

"Hah! Serves you right, Bo!" Nuz laughed.

Sirfhukk chortled at him.

"Guess I'll need another bath," Bokoof sighed as he shook mud off his arms.

"Let's get back to the ship," Thikok suggested, "And Sirfhukk, I'd love to hear your story about your time battling against the droid armies, overcoming the clone takeover, and surviving till now."

Some hours passed as Sirfhukk regaled them with tales of the war. Dokraar had made them a bonfire to gather around. He'd also made some delicious fruit bars for them to snack on. Sirfhukk then went on to explain why he was in the swoop races.

"Helping refugees is quite honorable," Bokoof nodded, "I didn't know there were many wookiee villages away from your homeworld. But I guess the Empire displaced quite a few people."

Sirfhukk rumbled and chuffed.

"Well, you need to quit fooling around," said Nuz, "You goof off in every race. I know you're giving the other racers a hard time and taking out the idiots, but you need to start winning more."

Sirfhukk growled at him.

"You know I'm right," Nuz took a long swig from his whiskey.

Sirfhukk barked and chuffed away. He explained that he needed to take out the well paid racers and the ones that didn't honorably race. He wanted a fair race for the finale.

"I'd say that's fair enough," Dokraar agreed, "There's always some behind the scenes ruffians trying to pay racers off. Anything to fill their coffers with credits."

"It's probably why we're on the bounty list," said Bokoof.

Sirfhukk chortled.

"Yeah, I know you think it's funny," said Bokoof, "But you can get hurt just as bad as any of us. You may be able to rip their arms off, but you gotta see them and get to them first."

Sirfhukk shrugged.

Enko changed the subject, "How's Phiss doing?"

Sirfhukk rumbled and barked.

"Still being a stick in the mud, eh?" Nuz laughed, "He should be more thankful he got you instead of someone else taking care of him. I'll be honest, I'm surprised he hasn't tried killing you or himself."

Sirfhukk explained they'd come to respect each other. It wasn't so bad living with a species that would typically kill him for his pelt. Phiss was actually quite dutiful and helped out around the ship a lot. He also did all of the necessary food shopping for them.

"I guess it's a long road before you break him of the servitude mindset," said Bokoof, "But I'm glad to hear he's choosing to do these things. I half expected him to be more resistant."

Sirfhukk chuffed.

"Yeah, it is getting late, we should probably let you get back to him," Bokoof stood up.

Sirfhukk gave him a bone crushing hug.

"Thanks big guy," Bokoof wheezed out, "You're always welcome here."

Sirfhukk smirked and bid everyone good night.

"Enko," Nuz began, looking off into the trees "You sure you weren't followed?"

"Of course I was," Enko laughed, "They're not a dark presence, but I'd lock the door."

"What do you sense out there?" Thikok asked.

"Not entirely sure," said Nuz, "But they're rather interested in us. They've moved around the camp a few times quietly enough that none of you noticed."

"Sleep sounds amazing," Bokoof said through a yawn.

Malastare

A few weeks went by. Bokoof had finished in third yet again at his race in Mon Gazza. They were reaching their next destination. The planet of Malastare. Once a battlefield for its fuel resources during the clone wars, Malastare was now under control of the Empire. The native species, the Dugs, were in a controlling position from their Imperial Palace.

The race would take place far from the palace. But this didn't stop the Doge, Taka Urus, from attending the race. Or from pulling strings. He was known to be quite the negotiator and manipulator. He took after his father Nahka Urus. Taka had also taken it upon himself to greet every racer as they checked in.

"Well, aren't you a solid looking one," Taka greeted Bokoof as he stepped off the ship.

Bokoof bowed before him, "Doge Taka, an honor to meet you. I am Bokoof Lokak."

"Ah, respectful too," Taka smirked, "I hear tale that you are one of the top racers."

"I have maintained great strides ahead of the pack," Bokoof smirked.

"I like the confidence," said Taka, he looked Bokoof up and down, "I've never dropped a bet on a shistavanen before. Your species are usually quite unassuming, but you are built different."

Bokoof felt a bit offended, "I assure you, my kind have many skills that would surprise you."

Taka laughed, "Well, good luck to you on your race, maybe I'll stop by later."

"What was that about?" Lokrut asked, who had been standing by.

"That's Doge Taka," Bokoof sighed, "He took over after his father mysteriously passed away. He likes to put his feet into everything. Dug's have a tendency to get what they want, especially the Doge. This might be a rough race."

"It is a qualifying round," said Lokrut, "I would expect no less from this crowd. Especially after the last few tracks."

Knot came down the ramp with some crates, arguing loudly with M2, "Yes I checked them, you don't need to hound me everytime I do my job."

M2 beeped and buzzed at him.

"I don't care if we have Hamak," Knot shot at him, "I'm just as capable as that bucket of bolts to carry things."

Hamak came down the ramp carrying three times as much as Knot, "I doubt this."

Knot frowned, well, if a droid could frown he would be frowning, "Can I quit?"

"No," Bokoof told him, "You may not be able to carry as much, but you do a much better job at ship repairs."

Knot slumped his arms, "I'm just a handyman. This is not what I was built for. I was designed to take out meatbags."

"And we redesigned you to be loved," Bokoof patted him on the chest, "And to be helpful."

"You better make me more helpful otherwise I'm going to suffocate you in your sleep," Knot turned about face and went back onto the ship to unload more crates.

"I still don't see how he doesn't have a safety bolt on," said Lokrut.

"We did a good job at reprogramming him," said Bokoof, "We left a little bit of his old personality in to keep him fun."

"It's a little aggressive," Lokrut chuckled.

Buklam followed Knot back out of the ship, "I'm going to need you to deliver these. Our client is having engine troubles and can't make it out here."

"I'm not a delivery boy," said Knot.

"You, M2, and Hamak are going to deliver the crates," Buklam continued, "Take two speeders and take it slow."

Knot grumbled, "I don't need those rust buckets to come with me."

"Get going," Buklam told him and slapped the datapad against his chest.

Knot took the datapad and turned back into the ship. A moment later he pulled two of the speeders down the ramp. M2 was chattering at him, telling him what to do. Hamak was more than happy to go on what he called a road trip. Knot attached the crates to the speeders and got on one.

M2 whistled at him.

"You can ride with Hamak," Knot told him as he took off.

Hamak picked up M2 and dropped him on top of one of the crates. The speeder sank down when Hamak sat on the speeder. M2 buzzed at him.

"We'll take it slow," said Hamak, "Let's get after him before he gets too far. We should really deliver at the same time."

The speeder hummed loudly as it did its best to carry Hamak, M2, and the cargo. Knot led them across a field of nothingness. The land here had been torn apart for its fuel resources and still hasn't recovered. Their destination is a small village on the other side of the field. Knot came to a full stop, Hamak almost rammed into him and veered off the road.

"Why have you stopped!?" Hamak exclaimed.

Knot was staring off across the field, "We're being watched..."

"By what?" Hamak asked.

"I see eight of them out there," said Knot, he continued down the road with his speeder, "Hopefully they won't be a problem."

Hamak fell back in line behind him. M2 buzzed and whistled, suggesting they take an alternative path.

"An alternative path will just delay us," said Knot, "And maybe that's what they want."

Knot led them across the empty field and back into some trees. The sound of swoops came roaring in behind them. Knot pulled out his scout pistol and stood up on his speeder. He put one foot up to steer and steadied the other foot on his seat. There were six dug's on swoops behind them and gaining on them.

"They sent me out here to die," Knot sighed, "No wonder they didn't want to do this themselves."

Knot took aim and fired off. He nailed two of the swoop riders before they started firing back. M2 buzzed in distress. He's defenseless and stuck out like a sore thumb sitting on top of the cargo crates. Knot sighed as he sat back down and spun himself around and released his crates.

"Hamak, catch," Knot said as he went whizzing behind them.

Hamak let out a panicked cry and he managed to grab the crates on his way by, but now he couldn't steer. Knot rapidly fired at the remaining four pursuers. They broke off in all directions as he took off after one. The dug shouted expletives at him as he led the chase back onto the road. Knot noticed one of the others going back after the cargo.

Knot kicked his speeder off at that one. The explosion sent the dug flying while he jumped on top of the other dug and took his speeder. His body flung around like a ragdoll across the road when the droid threw him off and Knot kicked it up a notch. Pushing pursuit after the other two. He heard another two zooming up the road.

"Why couldn't we have just taken the other ship?" Knot sighed, "But no, that's a waste of ship fuel, Knot. This is an easy job, Knot. You're a delivery boy, Knot."

Knot jumped off his swoop and spread his arms around. He clotheslined both the dugs off their swoops. Knot then ran as fast as he could to catch up to one of their swoops and pulled himself on. He pushed the throttle as far as he could to catch up to the last two.

"I really don't have time for this," Knot took aim and fired off his blaster again.

Both dugs lost control of their rides and slammed into each other. Knot went rumbling by and kicked one in the face, his teeth flying out of his mouth from the impact. He caught up to Hamak and told him to stop. Hamak refused to let go of his cargo.

If Knot could roll his eyes, he would. He leapt off his swoop and onto Hamaks. The swoop protested from the weight and almost nosedived into the ground. Knot pulled on the brakes and brought them to a stop. The other speeder soared off into a tree.

"That was amazing!" Hamak cried out.

"Off," said Knot.

"But..."

Knot repeated himself, "Get off now. I'm going to mount you on the front to counterbalance the weight. We're down to one ride and we need to make this work."

M2 protested.

"It's not my fault the others were destroyed," said Knot, "I'll be sure to not save you next time."

Hamak sat down on front of the speeder's nose. The nose touched the ground. Knot hooked up the rest of the cargo, leaving a long train of crates behind them. Knot then sat down on the very back of the speeder, making the nose lift up just enough for them to progress.

"This is going to be a slow, horrible ride," Knot sighed.

The speeder groaned as it pulled them along. They weren't making much progress but they did end up at the village several hours later than intended. Their customer, a gran, was quite happy his delivery had made it. The crates turned out to be new burners for cooking and loads of food supplies.

"We can't thank you enough for bringing this to us," the gran happily shook Knot's hand.

"Just doing my duty," said Knot, "If you'll excuse us, we must return."

"Of course!" said the gran, "Let your captain know his next pickup is from the Doge's Confidant."

"That's an odd bit of information," said Knot.

"Ah, I see you aren't privy to any information," the gran patted him on the shoulder, "Just let your captain know."

Knot turned and left the gran to his supplies. Knot loaded onto the speeder and Hamak sat down behind him and picked up M2. Knot lowered his head as the speeder sank down. The ride back was going to be entirely disappointing for him. He took off at half the speed, faster than before, but would still take quite a while for them to get back to the ship.

They passed by the wreckage of the dugs that Knot laid to waste. He took note that one of their bodies had disappeared. He puttered on making his way back into the barren field leading back to the city. Knot slumped over as he got hit by a bolt from out of the trees. Everything went dark for him.

* * * * *

Knot powered back on. He found himself hanging from a lifting magnet. Tried as he might, he couldn't move his arms or legs. Hamak and M2 were down below him surrounded by a group of dugs. The one that turned him back on jumped down onto the ground and stared up at him.

"Where's your command base?" he demanded.

"I don't work for the Empire anymore," Knot said, he was already bored of this.

"You are one of their droids," he continued, "Your paint job is just a clever cover up. With the fall of their emperor, they are no longer a use for us. We demand you take us to them so we can take care of them."

Knot sighed, "Let me down, and I'll find them for you."

"We're not stupid droid," the dug zapped him with an electrostaff.

Knot couldn't do anything about this, "Fine. Let me connect with that R5 unit, and I'll give him the details."

The dug nodded to his partners. One of them pulled out a port to connect to the two droids. M2 played along. He wasn't sure if Knot even knew anything. M2 connected to the dugs computer as Knot started to transfer him information.

"We have a location!"

"Good, you three," the dug pointed at a few of them, "Stay here and guard the droids, the rest of us will move out and strategize against their base. They must be spread thin with the entire system after them."

"You pathetic bunch couldn't take them out," Knot told him.

"Hah, there's hundreds of us," the dug shot at him, "And those troopers couldn't hit a target standing in front of them. Let's move out."

The dug left with his crew. The three left behind took up posts at the exits to the area. Knot did his best to look around. He was trying to take in the area and assess their situation. Hamak had been silent this whole time, which means they don't know the droid is smarter than he looks. He also felt they underestimated an R5's abilities, since they left M2 unattended.

"M2, get me down," he ordered him.

M2 buzzed and whirred.

"They locked your struts?" Knot sighed, "Well, I guess they weren't dumb afterall. What about you Hamak?"

Hamak stood up, "I'll only let you down if you stop treating the both of us like scrap heaps."

"Fine," Knot replied.

"Promise."

"You're entirely annoying, you know that?" Knot responded.

Hamak hit the controls to release him and Knot slammed into the floor.

"Hey!" the dugs came running in.

Knot was too quick for them. He picked up the nearest piece of equipment and chucked it at the nearest dug. He then leapt at the next one. Hamak flung his arms into the other one, sending him soaring into the nearest wall. Knot then approached M2 and unlocked his struts so he could move again.

M2 beeped in thanks.

Hamak picked Knot up off the ground, "Now promise."

Knot looked down at Hamak and cocked his head to the side, his feet dangling below "I will not show respect for anyone when I get no respect myself."

"Our masters take very good care of us," said Hamak, "I'd call that respect."

"They treat us like tools," Knot shot back, "How is that respect? We just do what they tell us to. If I had somewhere to go, I'd have left them long ago."

Hamak placed him down, "You're an idiot. They respect you by giving you a home and a purpose. Sure the tasks seem small to you, but your help is meaningful. Look at all the great things you get to do. We deliver food to the helpless and needy. If they didn't respect you, they wouldn't have trusted you with the task and they'd have scrapped you long ago."

Hamak turned and left Knot standing there. M2 followed Hamak. They were on some sort of base. It looked mostly like a scrapyard of ships and parts with large military units built out among it all. Knot decided to join them.

"This is a terrible setup," he said, "They are so unorganized. They couldn't even invade that village we just left."

"We should move quickly if we're to escape," said Hamak.

"I spy a ride," Knot jumped down into the scrap yard.

He ran up to an X-34 land speeder. It was three and a half meters long. It had scuffs all along its green sides and a sizable dent in the left side. The curved windshield was intact but the engine over its back had seen better days. Knot jumped in and turned it on. It fired up loudly.

"Time to go!" Knot shouted up to Hamak who was carrying M2 down.

Hamak lowered M2 into the passenger seat and sat himself up with the engine. Knot had leapt out to try and find some weapons. The dugs didn't leave much behind, but he found a blaster rifle and came back to the speeder.

"Hamak, drive," Knot ordered him.

"But..." Hamak went to protest.

"I know you don't fit, but you don't shoot," said Knot, "We need to get out of here in one piece, and I need to defend ourselves."

Hamak spun himself around and shoved his feet down below the seat and locked himself in place. He was sat up on the back of the speeder still as they took off. Knot held onto the engine with a leg and readied himself with his rifle. Hamak picked up speed, navigating his way through the maze of junk and buildings. An alarm sounded.

"Get ready," Knot called out, "I'm going to need you to go faster."

Hamak looked over at him, "That would be dangerous."

"Us droids live for danger," said Knot as some dugs started to pursue them, "Now, hit it!"

Hamak pushed the accelerator forward and they shot off. The speeder rumbled as it zoomed through all the scrap heaps. Blasters fired at them from all directions. Knot took a moment to calculate where everyone was as more pursuers joined the chase. He readied his rifle and it clicked.

"You have to be kidding," Knot banged the rifle against the engine a few times before it fired off a shot, "There we go."

He started blasting at all the dugs behind them. One by one he nailed his targets. Speeders and swoops all smashing into each other, sending half the pursuers panicking to not get hit. Hamak swerved hard to avoid a tower of debris. Knot took a look ahead and spied sentry towers.

"Hamak, evasive maneuvers," Knot ordered.

"Evasive what?" Hamak asked.

"Swerve side to side," Knot shouted as bolts came flying down at them.

Hamak zigzagged his way through debris and bolts. The exit wasn't much further ahead. Knot took steady aim and fired up into the towers, but the bolts kept coming. M2 buzzed in protest at the amount of heat they were under.

Knot tilted his head as he spied a fuel canister beneath one of the sentries, "Hamak, punch it as hard as you can through the exit and don't stop."

Hamak did as he was told and floored it. Knot waited patiently as they zoomed toward the towers and the exit. He fired off a shot and the fuel erupted. A bolt blasted clean through him as the towers folded in on themselves to block their pursuers. Knot started to slide off of the speeder.

Hamak grabbed hold of him, "No you don't."

Hamak took a moment to figure out where they were. The speeder hummed loudly as they drove full speed back to their ship. Hamak pulled the speeder into a stop next to where the ship was. No one was there except for Mugg. The gundark roared at them from the ramp into the ship.

Hamak picked up the limp body of Knot and brought him inside. M2 followed behind. Hamak laid Knot's body out on the galley table and looked over him. The hole in his chest was rather large. Hamak lowered his head.

"He wasn't so bad, was he?" Hamak looked over to M2.

M2 cooed sadly.

Dokraar came running onto the ship with his blaster drawn, "Hey! Who's on my ship!?"

"It's just us," Hamak called down from the galley.

"Who's speeder then?" the shistavanen asked as he climbed up to the galley.

"Ours now, I guess," said Hamak.

"Oh, Knot," Dokraar sat down next to the broken droid, "My dear friend. What happened?"

"We had quite the adventure," said Hamak, "We would have never made it were it not for Knot. He saved us."

"He does that sometimes," Dokraar held onto Knot's hand, "Don't worry, we'll get him fixed."
