Chapter 3: Monster of Mighty Nature
Somewhere in a desert, a heavily armored person with the Greek Omega symbol on their shoulder was walking while looking at a screen built onto his wrist.
"You sure this is where the tracer beacon is Aelita?" The person said.
"Positive Omega, these scanners have never been wrong yet." A female voice said in Omega's ear.
"When you use the word yet.. it doesn't make me feel any better..." Omega muttered.
"Remember, your target must be alive and with as few burn marks from your blaster rifle, We packed you a Spartan CS-12*(Nerf Reference)* loaded with tranquilizer darts. The three-shot burst should be anough to take her down." Aelita assured.
"Right... three-shot burst... no energy burns. Got it." Omega said.
"Remeber to also have your visor tinted, we can't risk losing a Deadlock trooper to the target's hypnotizing powers." Aelita advised.
"That would be bad." The Deadlock trooper said pressing a button on his helmet.
"Wait. Stop." Aelita said. "I've picked up contacts on your radar!"
The trooper stopped and took out an advanced looking assault rifle. "Identify them" The trooper ordered.
"They're moving too fast! Scanners can't lock on to their biosignal!" Aelita said in a voice that showed how freaked out she was.
"Hold on, I see them... What the hell..." The trooper said as several black lion type creatures encircled him at blinding speeds.
The trooper raised his rifle firing an energy burst into the circle watching one of the targets dissolve into smoke. "Shadowformers! They've seen the target and are copying its abilities!" Omega said firing a few more shots into the circle as two other shadowformers dissolved.
"Shouldn't be much of a problem, you are a Deadlock trooper." Aelita said.
"Yeah well these things are faster than anything in the sims." Omega commented blasting a shadowformer that had gotten too close to him.
As quick as the shadowformers had appeared they had turned around and ran away.
"What the hell?" Omega commented before he heard the sound of a large catlike creature growling at him.
"Well..." Omega started as he turned to face the creature known as Bagi. "It seems like it's just you and me.... kitten..." He had finished, his visor opening up showing his blonde, foxlike face.
