#11 of Tora

I know you all have been waiting for this release, some more than others (^.^), but it's finally here. I had some fun with this and... I guess that's all I have to say. Weird, I usually have more to say. Whatever. Wait, no, I'm freaking out again. Damn. No, I'm not doing this again. Remember your rules, Dark. Remember the rules. *Takes deep breath and exhales fire* Okay, I think I'm good... maybe. Anyways, before I start a typing frenzy, I'd like to say that comments and votes are welcome and appreciated. Gotta see how well I'm doing afterall.

Once Chris and Tora made it to Milshakes, Chris ordered her two scoops of strawberry with chocolate syrup in a bowl while he got the same thing only with nuts. They got a window seat and sat across from each other. Tora was in heaven. She had her ice-cream, she worked hard on her first day of training, and she was enjoying it all with her best friend in the world, or at least she thought she was. Chris was slower than usual when eating his ice-cream.

"Something wrong?" Tora asked. It took a moment for him to respond.

"Huh? Sorry, what did you say?"

"I asked if something was wrong. You're letting your ice-cream melt." he glanced down at his bowl and saw a little pool forming around his dessert.

"Oh, it's nothing really important."

"Liar. You do this every time you got something on your mind. Is it about that guy?" Chris let out a heavy sigh.

"Yeah. I don't get how people can be like that and act like they're the ones that are right."

"Well, you can't expect everyone to share the same ideals as you. The world would be boring if we all shared the same beliefs. At least you saved a dratini today. That's something not everyone can say." she said encouragingly. Chris smiled at this. He did come out of it with a pretty rare pokémon, even if it was badly beaten up. That was another thing; he had to find out if the dragon was male or female.

"You wouldn't happen to know if that dratini was a boy or girl do you." Tora shook her head.

"No, I was too busy trying not to end up paralyzed to notice anything like that. The poor thing wouldn't let me get near it"

"Oh." he said a little disappointed by her answer. "Well, we can always ask Nurse Joy when we go back." Chris went back to eating his desert with a simple shrug of his shoulders.

"Okay. I can't wait to see our new partner. I just hope that he/she doesn't decide to paralyze us first." They both shared a laugh and finished eating their frozen dairy treats.

*****8*****

"Well, we still have some time to kill before we need to head back. What do you want to do?" Chris asked as they exited the shop.

"Hmm, let's walk through the park and then head back to the center." Tora suggested.

"Alright. Since it's not gonna be a very long walk, we shouldn't have to wait too long once we get back."

"Let's go the long way around. I'm tired of standing in this sun." Chris looked up to the sky with his hand over his eyes.

"Yeah, me too. Let's get going then." Chris led the way to the park with his raichu friend by his side. Once there, they watched the younger kids play on the slides, swings, and other games with each other while they walked past. They got a few waves and offers to play, but Chris refused, telling them they were just on a walk. The kids would groan in disappointment and go back to playing their games.

Relief swept over them once they were on the shady path, which was also another way to get home. The shade the towering trees provided made this path like an oasis of coolness and considerably cooler than the rest of the park. It was during this time that Tora had remembered something. It was on this path that she met her small psychic friend. That was the night that she was taken out of town, and most likely out of the region, for the first time in her life. She saw some pokémon she didn't know and had fun for the first time since the hit and run. Now that she started thinking about that night, there was something else that happened that night, but she couldn't quite remember what though. It vaguely played out in her mind, but she just couldn't make it out.

"Jeez, I hate it when this happens." she whispered to herself. All, if not most, people could sympathize with her right now. Trying to make sense of a vague memory was like trying to say that word on the tip of your tongue, but you could not for the life of you figure out what it was until someone said it.

"Hey, raichu with the human!" someone shouted.

"Tora, look, it's a butterfree." Chris said pointing at the sky. Tora stopped her thinking and looked up. As he said, there was a butterfree flying toward them. This caught them both a little off-guard. Pokémon don't just casually approach humans, especially if there's another pokémon walking beside them. Unless it were familiar to them, there wouldn't be any reason for one to approach them and she was sure they weren't familiar with any bugs in the area. The flying bug came to a stop, fluttering in front of the electric mouse.

"Long time no see. How you been?" the cheery butterfree asked.

"Uh, do I know you?" Tora asked, not sure why this bug is talking to her.

"You don't remember me? Oh, I guess I do look different since I evolved." the butterfly replied with a small laugh.

"You know this butterfree?" Chris asked.

"I... don't think I know him." she answered. "You said I've seen you before?" she asked the bug.

"Yeah, we meet right here before that mew showed up and I, uh..." It was at this moment that something clicked in her mind and she gasped.

"You're the caterpie that fainted when you saw Aaron!" she exclaimed as she mentally slapped herself for forgetting that. The purple bug's face turned a slight shade of red.

"He fainted when he saw Aaron?" Chris asked with a bit of laughter.

"Yeah, he was so shocked to see a mew would come out of nowhere and passed out."

"If Aaron is the mew you're talking about, then yeah, I fainted when I saw him." the purple bug said. "But come on, it's not like you see a mew, or any other legendary, everyday."

"Actually, we're pretty good friends with him. He stops by every once in a while to talk or play with us." If the butterfree's eyes could get any bigger than they already were, they would've taken up his whole head.

"No way! Y-you're friends with him?!"

"Yeah. We've spent a lot of time together after that night." Tora told the bug everything she did with the psychic cat. Chris listened as well and was glad that she had fun while he was out of commission, though she failed to explain why she suddenly grew distant from Aaron after the second time she saw him to the door. When he asked her about it, her cheeks turned slightly red and she refused to tell why. Chris realized that this was a subject he would bring up later to ask her.

"Wow, I can't believe you did all that." the bug said, impressed with her story. "Is it possible for me to meet him? I promise not to faint this time."

"I guess so. I'll remember you the next time he decides to drop by." the electric mouse said.

"Hey, Tora. Sorry to break this reunion up, but we need to get going. We still gotta get that dratini from the pokécenter." Chris said looking at his watch.

"Aww, you guys gotta go?" the butterfree said a little sad.

"Yeah, sorry. Maybe we could come back and play together tomorrow." The butterfree seemed to cheer up a little.

"Okay, we'll play tomorrow. Same time?"

"Same time." she confirmed.

"Don't forget about me. I know lots of things we can do." the bug said as he ascended into the air with a couple flaps of his wings.

"See ya later!" Tora said waving her paw. Within a few seconds, the purple bug disappeared over the tops of the trees.

"I see you made another friend." Chris said.

"I can't believe I forgot about him. Can I play with him tomorrow?" Tora asked.

"Since you already made plans to, I don't see why not. Besides, while you're out playing, I can get to know our new little dragon... which we're gonna be a little late picking up."

"Sorry about that. Let's race to the center!"

"What? We can't race all the way-"

"Ready set go!" The raichu took off on all fours back towards the park.

"Come on! I'm still recovering, remember?!" Chris shouted.

"No pain no gain!" she shouted back. Chris groaned and started chasing after her.

"Now she wants me to run."

*****8*****

They reached the pokémon center in about twenty minutes, thanks to their constant running. Chris knew he wouldn't be able to beat her in a long race like this since his stamina has dropped, so he just jogged most of the way and only sprinted when he had the energy. Tora also knew he wouldn't be able to keep up, so she kept a steady pace that would be easy for him to catch up when he decided to sprint. Not surprisingly, the raichu won the race and Chris was out of breath. He took a seat in the lobby area of the center to catch his breath.

"Aww, did I tire you out with our little competition?" Tora asked with smirk.

"You know... darn well I... couldn't win." Chris replied through his heavy breathing. "Why the hell... did you want to race anyway?"

"To get here faster of course. Look, we're only ten minutes late from the hour." she said pointing to a clock on the wall. He looked up at the wall clock and saw she was right. "Hurry up so we can take the dratini home and show mom and dad." Tora started walking to the front desk.

"How is she going rush my recovery like that?" he asked himself as he stood up. Chris walked up to the front desk and was greeted by Nurse Joy.

"Hello. Your dratini has made a full recovery. Are you ready for me to register her as your pokémon?"

"So it's a girl." Chris thought. "Yeah, I'm ready to register her as mine."

"Okay, just give me one minute to get everything in order." Joy began typing furiously on her computer... well, furiously compared to most people. Her fingers flew across the keyboard as she pulled and closed various windows on the screen. Before he knew it, Joy had finished everything she had to do and only needed Chris's signature on a form as confirmation. Once that was done, Joy handed Chris the dratini's ball. "All finished. You're now the proud owner of a healthy dratini." she said with her trademark smile.

"Thanks, Nurse Joy. Come on, Tora. Let's get home and show her to mom and dad." He waved to the nurse as he made his way out of the center with his partner following at his side.

Chris and Tora entered their home to the smell of dinner being made.

"Mmm, that smells good." Tora commented.

"Sure does. It smells like we're having chicken for dinner." The pair strolled into the kitchen to see Angela cooking chicken on the stove with a deep fryer. "That smells good, mom. When's dinner going to be ready?" Angela jumped and turned her attention away from the stove, a little surprised to see Chris and Tora in the kitchen all of a sudden.

"Oh, I didn't hear you two come in. Dinner won't be ready for a while, so go upstairs and wash yourselves off. You smell like nature." Angela said. That was her way of saying you smell a little sweaty.

"Okay, but first we gotta show you and dad something!" Chris said excitedly.

"What is it dear? Another legendary pokémon?" she said with a slight laugh.

"Close enough, come on! Yo, dad, where are you?" He ran out the kitchen and up the stairs to get Marcus.

"Wait, what?" Chris went up to his parents' room and retrieved Marcus. Within a few minutes, everyone was gathered in the living room.

"What's this all about?" Marcus asked sitting in his chair. Angela was sitting on the couch wondering the same thing.

"I just got a new pokémon today. Not just any pokémon though; she's a pink dratini."

"Where in the world did you find a dratini around here; and a pink one at that?"

"We rescued her from some creep who was trying to force her to battle us even though she looked like she had just been in a few fights. Tora and I stepped in when he was getting out of line." Chris replied.

"You did what?" Marcus and Angela exclaimed.

"Don't worry. Chris told the guy off and the little dragon's safe. Anyway, we wanted to introduce her to you guys and settle her into her new life." Tora said.

"Well, it's good that you saved her from that trainer, but maybe we should wait on introductions until tomorrow." Marcus warned.

"Why's that?" Chris asked.

"In all my years of living, I've seen many pokémon taken from their 'unfit' trainers and thrust into the arms of a new trainer filled with promises of a better life. Now, you've read the articles and heard the reports on the news, so you should know how difficult it is for a pokémon to adjust from one lifestyle to another." Chris nodded. "With that in mind, I think it would be best to, one, wait until tomorrow to make introductions because it's getting late and you'll need time on your side to make her comfortable enough to actually want to stay here. The other thing, is that I think it would be better to leave us out for a little bit. The reason being, is that she's already seen you two, maybe not in the best circumstances, and two more unknown people would only frighten her more than she probably is right now. Did she show any sort of hostility toward either of you?" Tora raised her paw.

"When I tried to get close to check her injuries, she tried to paralyze me with a thunder wave."

"Which is all the more reason you should wait. You'll need as much time as you can to help her adjust. It won't be done overnight, but the least you can do is earn enough of her trust so that she doesn't feel threatened by you."

"Yes sir." Chris and Tora said together.

"Now, how about we finish up dinner while you two take a bath? In the morning, you can go outside and do what you need to do." Marcus instructed as he stood up from his chair. Angela got up as well.

"Alright, thanks dad." Chris said as he turned to leave the room the room with Tora following close behind. Although they were disappointed at having to wait until tomorrow morning, Tora couldn't help but feel a little... relieved. She wasn't in a hurry to possibly get paralyzed by the dragon again.

The pair made their way up the stairs and into the bathroom to bathe and get the smell of nature off their skin/fur. During their time in the tub, they discussed how they were going pull off the introductions tomorrow. After their bath, they helped with finishing up dinner and enjoyed the delicious meal of chicken, mashed potatoes, and string beans. Afterwards, everyone pitched in to clean up the kitchen and went about doing their usual routine until it was time for bed.

"So, you ready for tomorrow?" Chris asked as he slid under his sheets.

"Of course. With any luck, I might get a new playmate by the end of the day." Tora replied as she slipped under with him. "I just hope that neither of us needs to be treated for any sort of injuries."

"Aww, you worry too much. We're gonna wrap this up by lunch time."

"But didn't dad say it would take some time."

"Four hours with us should be plenty of time to convince her to stay with us. If not, then we have the rest of the day."

"I guess so... Just don't end up getting zapped. Only I can zap you." Chris chuckled and gently rubbed her cheek with his hand.

"I'll be fine. Now let's get some sleep so we can get up early."

*****8*****

"Where am I? Oh, right, I'm in here. But why aren't I outside? Master always let's me out to eat something every once in a while, even though it was always cold and didn't taste as good. Wait, master's not here anymore. No, he can't leave me! He still has them! I have to get out of here!" After much effort, the pokéball burst open and a dratini materialized in the middle of a foreign room. The little dragon looked frantically around the room, then her eyes were suddenly fixed on the bed. The slow rise and fall of the sheets made her realized that someone was sleeping and she had to be silent. "I have to find a way out of here." she thought. She quietly made her way to the door and used her long body to open the door and slip into the hallway.

Her exit was not unseen though. Tora was still awake and kept herself mostly hidden from view. Her worry for Chris' safety had kept her from sleeping and, for once, she was glad that she was losing sleep.

"Oh crap. I better wake up... never mind. I think I can handle this on my own." Tora thought to herself. She slowly rolled out of bed so she wouldn't disturb Chris' sleep and quietly snuck out of the room. Once out the room, she quickly scanned the hallway for any signs of the pink dragon. Even when she strained her ears, there wasn't any indication of where the dragon was. "Good grief! The house is dead silent and she's only been out for a few seconds. Where could she ha-oof!" Tora was suddenly tackled from the side and felt something smooth wrap her throat and body. She and her attacker rolled down the hallway in struggle for dominance, but she was quickly over powered.

"Why did you take him from me?!" the attacker shouted. The grip around her neck tightened to the point where she was struggling for air. Panic set in for electric mouse and she tried desperately to break the hold around her throat by scratching. The attacker winced and rolled both of them over to try to get into a new position. The next thing either of them knew, they were rolling down the steps, nearly hitting every step on the way down. Both attacker and victim separated once at the bottom. Tora groaned in pain and gasped for air as she lay sprawled out on the floor.

"What... the hell... was that?" She slowly stood up and looked around for her attacker. A rising shadow caught her eye and she immediately recognized it. It was the dratini. "What the hell is your problem?!" She shouted. The pink dragon growled fiercely at electric mouse.

"You're my problem! What did you and that stupid human do to my master?!" she shouted back.

"Your master? We didn't do anything to that creep! He gave you up after Chris punched his face!"

"Do you have any fucking idea what you did?!" A light at the top of the stairs caught both of their attention.

"Tora, you down there?" It was Chris.

"Not him again. You can't take me away from him!" A light breeze picked up around the dragon. It was gentle at first, but it turned into a violent, miniature tornado in a matter of seconds. Tora shielded her eyes from the little objects that were being thrown around. Chris finally made his way down the stairs, along with his Marcus and Angela, and stared in awe at the sight.

"What's going on?!" Chris asked Tora.

"She wants to go back to her trainer!"

"Why does she want to go back to that creep?"

"I don't know, why don't you ask her?!" Tora sarcastically replied. Just as she said that, the miniature tornado grew even bigger and the dratini launched herself through the front door. The door broke in half, its pieces landing outside, and the pink dragon landed a little ways from the rubble. She quickly looked around, as if deciding which way to go.

"Wait! We're just trying to help you!" The dragon turned to see Tora running toward her.

"I don't need your fucking help! You messed everything up! And now I can't see them anymore!!!"

"What are you-" Before she could say anything else, the dragon disappeared. Tora stopped running and looked around in confusion. She knew there was no possible way the dratini teleported away, but she couldn't think of anything that would explain how the dragon just vanished in front of her. Chris, Marcus, and Angela came running outside.

"Where'd she go?" Chris asked.

"I don't know. She just... disappeared."

"This isn't good."

"No, it's not." Marcus said. "We need to find her before she gets herself hurt. Angie, you stay here in case she comes back. Chris, you and Tora check anywhere near the pokémon center and the park, I'll check everywhere else." Everyone nodded in agreement and went about their search. Marcus got in his truck and searched the streets, while Chris and Tora headed off toward the pokémon center first. On the way, they checked every ally they passed by. When they checked the area around the center, there wasn't anything there but a few rattata digging through the garbage. They were getting ready to head toward the park, but Tora came up with an idea.

"Wait! She doesn't know this city right?"

"I don't think so." Chris replied. "That's what I'm assuming."

"So if she doesn't know this city that well, there's only one place where she could be."

"The edge of town?"

"Yeah, but there's three ways out of here, and one of them leads to the forest. She might be at either one."

"We should split up then. We'll cover more ground that way."

"Ok, but what if she attacks you? You don't have any way to defend yourself." she said worriedly.

"Don't worry about me. I'll come up with something to get her. Besides, I have her ball in my pocket. If things get dicey, I'll get out of there." he said reassuringly.

"Fine, just don't get yourself hurt."

"Same goes for you too." With that said, they went their separate ways. Tora ran on all fours as fast as she could to the edge of town, specifically to the place they met the other trainer. She got there in about twenty minutes. The wide open space of the field was mostly visible thanks to the moonlight. She took a moment to rest for a little bit. If this was going to turn into a fight, she wanted to be fully rested. Once she caught her breath, she walked around and scanned the area for any signs of movement. It took her a few minutes, but she saw something move in the taller grass.

"Hey, wait!" she called out. The movement ceased and she cautiously toward the area. "Look, I know we got off on a bad foot, but I don't mean you any harm. Why don't you come out so we can talk about this?"

"There's nothing to talk about." a voice said from behind. Before she could react, she was hit hard in the back by something wet and rolled to the ground. Tora quickly got up and barely avoided getting tackled.

"Stop that! I'm just trying to help you!" The pink dragon glared at her.

"I told you that I don't need your help! Leave me the fuck alone!!!" The dratini vanished in front of Tora again, but this time she was ready. Tora got down on all fours and listened for the dragon's movements. A couple seconds later, she dodged right and avoided a devastating water attack.

"Wait, I've seen that move before. It's aqua tail. Whatever she's doing to disappear like that, it's not teleporting. She must be using some sort of super fast move because it's way faster than my quick attack." she thought. The dratini let loose a stream of electricity at Tora, who evaded the attack. "Alright, that's it! If you want to fight me so bad, then I'll show you what I got!"

Sparks of electricity from her cheeks danced along the ground as she charged up for her attack. The dratini charged up her electrical attack as well. Both of them unleashed their attacks at the same time. Tora's thunderbolt easily overpowered the dratini's thunder wave and pushed the attack back to shock the dragon. The dratini grunted in pain as it was electrocuted, but shook it off due to its natural resistance to electric attacks. She growled and whipped up another miniature tornado. This one was bigger than the one in the house, and it looked stronger too. It actually looked like there was a thunder storm happening inside of it with the little sparks surrounding it.

"Not this again." Tora thought. She braced herself and drew out even more electricity than before. The dratini launched herself at the electric mouse. At the same time, Tora unleashed her most powerful electrical attack, thunder. The electric blast looked as if it came down from the sky itself and ripped up the ground as it made its way to the tornado covered dragon. Even with the dratini's natural resistance to electrical attacks, she knew that if she took that head-on, it would end badly for her. She dodged left, barely avoiding a direct hit. It was too late for Tora to evade and she was swept off her feet by the violent wind. She was tossed around inside the vacuum of air before being violently thrown twenty feet into the air. She recovered mid flight and managed to break her fall by rolling as soon as she touched the ground. The attack wasn't as powerful as it looked and so she easily brushed it off. The raichu turned back to her opponent, only to see the dragon disappear once again.

"Ya know; that's getting really old." Tora said as her tail started glowing white. A couple seconds later, she twisted her body around and smacked the dragon in the face with a fierce iron tail. The pink dragon screamed in pain as she felt the steel hard tail make contact with her face. She rolled on the ground and came to a stop a few feet away from the electric pokémon. She struggled to get up, but was quickly hit on the back her head with another iron tail from the raichu. Her vision was fading as fast and she was seeing double. The last thing she saw was the electric mouse walking toward her.

"Might as well finish me off... I can't see them anymore anyway..." she thought before she blacked out.

*****8*****

"Did you have to rough her up that much?" a voice said. It sounded male, but at the same time, a bit childish.

"Sorry, but she wouldn't stop! Would you rather have me get beaten up instead?" a second voice responded. This one was feminine.

"Not really, but couldn't you have dragged it out until I got there? I mean, your thunder attack was pretty much a sign that you probably found her."

"Well sorry if I wasn't thinking about that at the moment, but you tend not to think that far ahead sometimes when you're in a fight."

"What the hell are they talking about? Wait, I'm still alive." the dratini thought. She had just woken up, but feigned being asleep when she heard voices. "I thought that raichu was going to finish me off. That raichu... She stopped me from trying to find my master. She and that human must be trying to keep me here so they can... 'train' me like my master does sometimes. If that's the case, I need to make sure I don't get into anymore trouble. I'm sure he'll just send her out to retrieve me if I try to escape again."

"So, what's the plan when she wakes up?" the feminine voice asked.

"I guess we just need to let her slowly get used to her new life here. Nothing too rough." the male voice replied.

"Oh, Arceus! What are they planning to do to me?! No, calm down. You can't give them the satisfaction of seeing you panic."

"Huh? I think she's awake." the feminine voice said.

_"Crap..." _With the acting skills that could only come from practice, the dratini opened her eyes like she had just woken up from her sleep. It was just as she feared, the raichu and the human were standing next to her while she was... in a bed? She turned her head and, upon closer inspection, realized that she was not lying in the humans' bed, but on a large cushion with a blanket over her. Not only that, but she noticed that she was back in the same room she found herself in after she broke free of her ball.

"How are you feeling?" She looked up at the human with a mix of fear and defiance.

"I'm... fine..."

"What did she say?" The dragon looked at him confusingly. She didn't any other humans and was wondering who he was talking to.

"She says that she's fine." the raichu answered, which only confused her more. Surely this human couldn't understand what the raichu was saying.

"That's good. Keep an eye on her for a bit. I'll be back in a sec." The human walked out of the room, leaving her alone with the raichu. There was a intense silence, partially because the little dragon felt threatened by the mouse and partially because the raichu couldn't think of anything to say.

"So... You can... speak with the human?" the dratini finally asked after what seemed like forever. The raichu seemed to perk up a little.

"Uh, yeah. Ever since I evolved into a pikachu, he's been able to understand what I'm saying. It only makes sense because we spend a lot of time together." she responded with a smirk.

"I see. Does he... train you?"

"Sometimes. We try to make it a daily thing, but ever since an accident a little while ago, we haven't been doing anything. Yesterday was the first in a while."

"They try to make it a daily thing?" "Do you... enjoy your training?" she asked hesitantly.

"Most of the time, but sometimes he does stupid things just to see my reaction, not to say I don't do the same thing once in a while.

"She's a slut!" "Do you have a name?"

"It's Tora. My trainer's name is Chris."

_"Tora, what a slutty name! And this Chris person is supposed to be my new master? I don't think so." _The dratini rolled onto her belly and sat up from her cushion. "Let's run away together. We can get out of this kind of life. We don't have to do this anymore." the dratini whispered.

"What are you talking about? Why would I want to run away from this place? I like it here; and I'm sure you will too if you gave it a chance." Tora replied.

"No I won't. What makes this place so great?"

"Well for one, I get a decent meal and a roof over my head every day. Not only that, but I get to play outside whenever I want. After that, I take a bath and get to share a bed with Chris. What's not to like about that?"

"So you're okay with trading your body for a place to live?"

"Trading my body? What are you talking about?" Tora asked a bit confused at where the dragon was going with this.

"Don't play stupid with me. I may be young, but I know what's really going on. You and Chris are fucking each other and want me to get in on your sick little game." If Tora's jaw could fall to the floor, it would've gone through and hit the television downstairs. She didn't know whether to be shocked at the accusation of her mating with Chris, or the accusation of mating with Chris and wanting the dragon to be involved in it. The thought of getting that intimate with her trainer hadn't even crossed her mind. "My master doesn't just give away his pokémon to random strangers. He only gives them to others who... share his interests. So the way I see it, I'll just have to get on Chris' good side and ask him nicely to send me back to my old master."

"Wh... Why do you... want to go back?" Tora asked, struggling to find the words to continue.

*****8*****

"Thanks for the snacks, mom. I'm sure that little dratini is hungry after last night." Chris said as he picked up a tray with a bowl of berries and another with some chips. There was also a plate with sandwiches cut in half diagonally into triangles

"It's not a problem sweetie. Just... make sure she doesn't break any more doors... or windows. Your father is going out to get a new one in a couple of days and you're going to help him put it in." Angela said. Because of the dratini's actions the previous night, Marcus had to put a blue tarp where their front door used to be as a makeshift door.

"Yes ma'am. I'll try to make sure last night doesn't happen again. I better go check to see how Tora is doing with our new addition." Chris exited the kitchen with the tray in hand and made his way upstairs. Upon turning into the hallway, he saw Tora sitting just outside his room. "Hey, I told you to keep an eye on her until I got back." Chris said as he approached the electric mouse. She didn't respond to his call and just continued to stare off into space. "Hey, you okay?" He put the tray of food down and snapped his fingers in front of her face to get her attention. She snapped out of her trance with a couple of lazy blinks of her eyes. "Hey, what's up?" Tora looked at him for a couple seconds before she felt her face get extremely hot.

"N-nothing! W-what are y-you doing here?" she stammered as she scrambled to get on her feet. Chris noticed her red face and odd behavior. "Uh... You weren't just... you know. Doing that just now were you? It's... not that time again, is it?" he asked feeling slightly embarrassed.

"What?!" she exclaimed realizing what he was getting at. "No, it's not that time! If I was going to- never mind. Anyway, it won't be that time for a little while and I think we have a problem with our... little friend."

"What kind of problem? Is she sick or something?" Tora shook her head.

"No... It's something worse than that."

Somewhere in the middle of Viridian Forest

A young man wearing blue jeans, a green shirt, and a black biker's jacket was trekking through the forestry without much care for the passing bug and small bird pokémon. He carried himself as if he were superior to all those he came in contact with. When he felt like he was in a good spot, he reached for his belt and pulled out two pokéballs.

"Get on out here." he commanded coldly as he tossed the red and white spheres in front of him. The balls popped open and a dratini materialized in front of the young man. Next to the little dragon was a garchomp, who materialized with a loud roar. The smaller dragon looked around as if trying to find something. "Hey!" the man shouted, instantly getting the attention of the small dragon. "She's not here anymore. She left to be with another trainer, so you're going to take her place." The little dragon was shocked by the news, as shown in his expression. The garchomp however, was completely unfazed, not even showing a bit of interest in what the trainer said. When the blue dragon started to protest, he received a swift kick to the side his head by the large land shark. "Didn't I tell you before that that mouth of yours is going to get you into trouble?" The dratini slowly got back up, fearing another powerful kick. The garchomp simply smirked at the little dragons' display of fear.

"Serves you right for speaking out of turn, runt." he said.

"She knew what she was doing! She didn't even care that she was leaving the one who stuck up for her the most! It's best that you forget about her now so that it doesn't interfere with your training. I expect you to be ready to battle in the next gym by tomorrow because that's when we'll be getting there. Is that understood?" The dragon nodded weakly. "Good. You start your training now. I want you to attack any bug and bird that you see while we're walking. If I see you miss any on purpose, you're hunting your own food." The little blue dragon nodded again and began to follow his trainer and fellow team member deeper into the forest.

"Is it true? Have you really abandoned me for a better life?"

End Notes: I hope I didn't confuse you while dratini was talking with Tora. I wanted to have her thoughts first before she said anything. Like when someone tells you something and you think "Wow, really?" then say "Blah blah blah". I guess I explained that clearly. If not, then I hope you get what was going on.
