Chapter 12: Captured

By: Mirron Tenshi

It's night; however, it is the early hours of the morning. A silver leopard shifted a bit in his sleep. As he dreamed, another feline stood beside the bed. Platinum just stood there and looked down on the sleeping teen. There was no expression on Platinum's face (as usual); he just stood still like a realistic statue. He lets out a quiet sigh as Gary murred in his sleep.

"Sometimes . . . I still think about whether or not I've should've kept you . . ." Platinum's voice was barely audible. The younger cat below him hardly stirred at all. "But lets face it . . . You would've given me nightmares . . ." He said with a weak and silent chuckle. "Not that I never used to have them . . . I decided to quit that job and strain out those horrid dreams . . .

"Gary . . . We're the same . . . I can still remember when everything was taken away from me because of the flame . . . I left you without me because at the time, I wanted nothing to do with sentiments . . . I still do, I'm afraid . . ."

"Mmmmhhhh." The lion's eyes opened a little more as Gary's eyes started to flicker.

The leopard yawned as he rose up from bed. He groggily reached for his cell to check the time. 5:43 am. "Gooood grief." Gary groaned as he got up to answer nature's call. His athletic body in a pair of boxer briefs slouched as he made his way through the darkness to the bathroom.

After relieving himself, the cat then crawled back into bed, pulled the covers back up and dosed off again.

Platinum sat perched on the rooftop of his home, in a squatting position as he scouted the premises. A small smile spread on his thin lips. "Oh well. At least I'm assured that you were given two parents who love you . . . Which is a hell of a lot more than what I can hope to give to most . . . ."

"Um, Max. Are you sure its safe to go ahead and take us to the fair?"

"Yes, Gary, I'm sure." The snow leopard sighed. He was really edgy about this whole Necro thing. The lion that was sitting next to Max in the passenger seat was unsure about this too.

The lion and tiger were taking Gary, Mark, and Jason to the last day of the Spring Fair. Allen and Max had already promised to take Gary to the fair this year, but Allen was having the most difficult feeling; indeed, the lion has always had a sense of insecurity almost anywhere.

"I don't know . . . I mean, in a public place? What if we get caught? And where's Platinum?" Jason queried as he shared Allen's anxiety.

"Platinum said he wouldn't have allowed the three of you to go unless he was certain of himself that you weren't safe." Max said in a casual reassuring tone.

"Yeah, but-"

"Its ok, kids. I've known Platinum for a long time, and I know how cautious he is. He's probably going to the fair and keep watch on you guys. So just relax and enjoy the fair." The three teens were still unsure, so the tiger put on an Alvin on the Chipmunks CD in the car's CD player; this was an old tradition from Allen's time when he was a cub, which Max and Gary totally approved of.

All three furs stretched and grunted as they got out of the car, reenergizing their arms and legs from the long drive. Gary, Mark, and Jason were already eagerly head towards the ticket booth while Allen and Max lingered.

"By the way, Gary, what IS that?" Mark queried as he indicated the white pack that was strapped around Gary's torso with a red cross on the front of it.

"Its my Medical Pack. I take it everywhere I go. I'm sort of a first aid guy."

Meanwhile, Allen was talking to Max about his feelings about this trip just out of earshot of the children.

"Max . . . I'm scared. What if he fails? If Platinum is to lose track just once, make one mistake, then Gary could . . ." Allen got slightly teary as he tried to put the worst thought out of his head. As much as he was concerned for Gary's life, he was also afraid for the fox and the husky. This only made Allen that much more fearful of this outing.

"It'll be alright, Allen. I don't like it either. Honestly, I'd rather have just send Gary to your parents' house in New York until Necro is brought in."

"Then why didn't we?! Max, I don't want our son to die. You know how much I hate taking gambles like this. I'm not even sure if we've should've trusted your friend-"

"Then trust me, Allen." The tiger said as he looked at his husband directly in the eye. The lion sighed as he sniffled a little.

"I do trust you, Max. Otherwise I wouldn't have agreed." Allen said with a smile as they walked.

"I promise, Allen. Everything will be all right. They'll be safe." The lion smiled a little more as he nuzzled his tiger and kissed his cheek.

"Daaad! Tousaan! Hurry up!" Max chuckled as their son called to them in a impatient tone.

"Nah. We just thought that we'd take our time and soak up the sun!"

"Heeeeey!" Allen laughed at the three kids waiting for them to hurry up and pay for their entry and ride wristbands.

So the day began for the two adults and three kids. None of the young ones wanted to play any of the games - they were interested in getting to take on every single ride at least once. However, every once in a while, Max or Allen would stop and play a game like throwing softballs at a pyramid of cans, or a squirt gun rally, or tossing rings onto beer bottles.

Mark decided to try out a game of throwing darts at balloons. He won a black stuffed bald eagle after nailing 10 balloons, which he then gave to Jason, who then returned the favor with a kiss to his cheek.

"Whoa . . . ! Remind me never to go on that one again." Mark said as they had just walked out of an enclosed spinning ride that moved so fast that you would feel getting forced onto the mobile panels.

"Ditto." Max said as he held on to Allen's shoulder, trying to regain his focus.

"O-Ok now. W-We need to go find um . . . Platinum" Allen said. His stomach felt sick, but it wasn't from the ride.

"Oh, we're meeting him here?" Jason queried, unaware of Allen's queasiness.

"Yeah. If you see him, we need to catch up with him." Max said. "So keep your eyes open. Ok kids?"

"Alright."

After half an hour, Gary spotted the lion with the white cargo pants and white hooded jacket. "There he is! C'mon, lets go." So Gary, Mark, and Jason trotted off towards the white coat, the lion and tiger following closely.

He walked into a barn building. "Hey! Wait for us, Platinum!" Mark called out as they then began to jog into the building. It was crowded with a whole bunch of other furs looking at caged chickens and rabbits. Jason looked and spotted the white figure again.

"There! C'mon, before we lose him, guys." They made their way through the crowd as quick as they could.

"Wait! Gary! Kids, wait for us!" Allen called out, but everyone else's talking drowned him out. A tear fell from his eye as he and Max couldn't get through.

The boys looked around for the feline. "I think he went this way." The leopard said as they took a right into another wide room.

Not two seconds after Jason walked in, the door slammed shut and all of the lights went out except for one. The boys gasped and yelped out. Mark looked over to the figure in the white baggy attire. "Hey Platinum, couldn't you have wait for us?" The figure did not answer. It was all he could do to not burst out laughing.

"Max, I don't see them! Where are they?! I can't-" Allen was absolutely frantic. His stomach felt as though it was going to melt in its own acid. He was starting to sob as he desperately searched for the children.

"I don't know. I can't take it anymore, Allen. Let's just take them and leave." Max said, now matching to his husband's anxiety.

"But I can't see them, Max! Where are they?!" Allen couldn't help but cry. Max took him into his arms, now knowing that there was nothing they can do. The lion cried and sobbed into Max's chest.

"It's going to be alright, Allen. He won't let them die. Especially Gary, above all else. He will not let anything happen to our son." Max spoke full on. He already knew what Gary was to Platinum.

"Um . . . Platinum?" The fur in the white clothes started to snicker. All three boys' body felt frozen as ice as the guy infront of them started laugh. Not only that, but they just realized one very important feature: There was no long, white tail with the snowy brush at the end. The figure turned around. Instead of a large, white muzzle, there was a thinner dark one. The muzzle wore a nightmarish grin: fangs curved and sharp and oozing a clear slime.

The three boys were in absolute shock and terror that they didn't even notice a couple of other of furs coming in holding guns with silencers attached. They were all staring into a pair of yellow eyes.

"Well well well. I'd say it's about bloody time. Now I can stop stressing over my schedule." The voice was mid-pitched and haunting, as if to simulate the voice acting of The Joker. "You honestly thought that insomniac can keep ya alive? If he was really competent, he would've stayed wich'ya the whole time. Just when you think you know a guy, I guess." The crazed looking hyena ripped the clothes off of him. "But guess who got to who first?" He threw the cargo pants onto the floor in front of them, the sound of clanking metal hitting the floor.

"No . . ." Was all Jason could utter. Finally, the three boys looked for a way out, only to find that they were being closed in on by furs with black clothes on, toothy grins and manic eyes stitched into the surrounding new figures dark clothing, they each also wore what looked like insanity-themed Halloween masks that had large parts cut out, a different place where the mask was cut into for each of the goon, showing a fragment of their faces. Mark just moved his ankle and one of the masked furs shot at him. The fox yelped as he fell on the ground. He could hardly even use his sense anymore from all of the fear, but if he could, he'd realize that the bullet only grazed his leg.

"MARK!" Jason exclaimed as he knelt down to the fox.

"Just let us go!" Gary yelled out, still petrified by what was going on.

"Don't be goddamn stupid. We all know that ain't happenin'. I'm sure he already told ya that I don't need you to be movin." The leopard was grabbed by the arm and flung to the floor with Mark and Jason. All three of them shivered and cower at the horrific fur.

He then pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the boys. "Now then." His sheath was swelling at this point. "Who will come to play with me first?" None of them spoke. They were all too terrified to even think. The saw the paw click something on the gun. "I'm waiting." He said while giggling. Necro then covered his eyes as he started to circle a gun. "Then let's play a round of my own kind of Russian Rou-"

"I-I'll go." Jason and Mark jerked their heads to see the snow leopard stand up, stepping in front of them. Necro peaked as he saw which boy spoke.

"That is a good sport. Not afraid to . . ." As he looked into Gary's eyes, he started to get angry. The leopard didn't look scared. He wore a look that looked like . . . Hatred. Tears were also flowing down his cheeks. Necro really didn't like the look of this kid; it was all too familiar. "Oh yeah. You have got to go first." He then grabbed at the feline's wrist and dragged him away.

"Gary-" Necro jerked back and shot a bullet. It shot right over the husky's head, just singing a few strands of his head fur. Both canines shrieked and cringed together.

"Don't fuckin test me, ya worthless rags." With that, he took Gary into another room. He threw the shaking leopard onto the old desk in the room. Necro then pointed the gun onto the feline. "Take off yer clothes." The poor feline just stood in fear. The gun in Necro's paw clicked and moved towards Gary's head. Without hesitation, the snow cat then quickly took off his Medical Pack and put it aside. He then jerked his shirt off, showing he athletic torso to the sick fur. He then pulled his pants down, and then his boxers, with him now wearing nothing but a white athletic supporter.

"That's good. Now turn around." Gary did so, trembling violently as he started to silently whimper. Necro came in close until he was inches from Gary's backside. "If you try to call for help, I will kill ya." He muttered simply.

The leopard then gave up hope. He just started to dig his claws into the old wood of the desk he was leaning on. This was it, he thought, he would never play ice hockey again. He can never invite Mark and Jason over for a sleep over. And he'll never see his two dads ever again. More tears started to leak down his face.

"Actually, go back to the others."

I'll get right to work in the next chapter ASAP
