In the morning he sat outside near the entrance of his home as punishment for staying out so late, he stared at the ground when suddenly he heard something off in the distance. "get back here... your dead meat, mutt!... you won't get away hyena!!!..." exclaimed three voices. "Please just leave me alone!" Onmy? heard Jasiri's voice yell out and without thinking he bolted toward the voices. "hold on Jasiri I'm on my way." he thought to himself as he ran. "now we have you." spoke a lot older lion with his two brothers backing her against a wall. "leave her alone." Onmy? hollered as he jumped at him from above and landed on the lions back causing the lion to fall to the ground. "I say hey, you say argh, ready? Hay." he told the lion as he readied his claws.

"what'd you me... argh." He growled as Onmy? dug his claws into his back. "hay." Onmy? said slamming his other paw down driving his other claws into the lions back again causing the Lion to growl with pain, the Lion jumped to his feet and started to shake about trying to shake him off. "get off me!" he screamed before slamming Onmy? against the wall of the Ridge causing Onmy? pain and fell onto the ground. "well, well, well, an abomination trying to save a hyena. pathetic." the lion yelled as he swings at Onmy? hitting him in the face and scratching his eye leaving three scars on his eyebrow and lower part of the eyelid. "that's what you get for tackling me, and this is what you get for existing!" the lion yelled.

He raised up his paw and Onmy? closed his eyes. "hurk!" the lion sounded as Jasiri slammed into his side. "jack! Why you!" the other two started running at her only to have Onmy? trip them up. "this way!" Onmy? told her as he ran past, Jasiri followed close behind him. "after them ya fools!!" they heard the lead lion call out before hearing their large paws heading toward them. "get back here!" the lions yell out as the two kept running. "this way!" Jasiri yelled out as they ran off the secondary path into a canyon, they continued to weave about the many paths that ran into the canyon then ducked into a cave-like entrance too small for the lions to get them.

"where are they! keep searching!" the leader yelled as the two could see their paws just outside the entrance. "we lost them... bro we better get back, mom won't like it very much if we skip tracking lessons." one of the lions said to the lead lion. "very well, come on guys lets go." the leader spoke in a growling tone, and they soon left. "phew that was close." Onmy? said as he looked at her. "that looks painful, does it hurt?" she asked looking at his eye. "nah, I'm fine, I'm just glad your safe." he told her with a smile then rubbed his paw over the scars to cover them up with his fur. "there! mom n dad won't notice. I hope." he said with a weak smile.

"I have to get back before my parents see that I'm missing." he told her as they crawled out from the small cave. "then I'll walk with you, and make sure you get home safely." Jasiri told him with a smile. "alright." he smiled happily as they made their way back to Onmy?'s home. "thank you for saving me." she exclaimed. "I couldn't sit by when you were in danger." he told her causing her to blush. "so um, tell me, why didn't you protect yourself when they went after you?" Onmy? asked. "I'm hoping to become a great healer, so I made a vow never to hurt another animal ever, what about you? From what I've seen I thought you couldn't fight." she said with a smile.

"I never said I could, and never said I couldn't, I just don't like to fight, but sometimes you must, after all, everyone has the right to defend one's self." he told her as they walked. "thanks, I'll keep that in mind." Jasiri said with a smile, and after a while, they made it back to his home. "this is a nice place you have here." Jasiri told him looking at the cave. "thanks, it's not much but it's home." Onmy? told her. "Jasiri! Where are you!" a young male voice called causing both to jump. "I found her." another male voice called out. "get away from her!" a male hyena said as two others came into view causing Onmy? to back into his cave.

"no! Wait, he helped me." Jasiri told them as she got in between Onmy? and them. "this is my friend I've been telling you about." Jasiri told the males. "wait this is your friend?" the eldest asked. "the way she talks about him it sounds more than just friends." The two youngest said with a giggle. "I said we're just friends!" Jasiri yelled with her face going red. "mhm sure he is." One of them said sarcastically. "Jarjar tell Fifle to stop picking on me!" Jasiri said crying a bit. "you heard our sister." the eldest told him. "aw fine." Fifle wined, the third one seeing Onmy? hiding behind Jasiri. "hey no need to be afraid of us, we're not going to hurt you." He told him as Jasiri looked back at Onmy?.

"It's ok Peter, I'm here." She smiled at him causing him to feel more relaxed and stepped out. "hi I'm Onmy?, but Jasiri calls me Peter." He told them as he bowed. "why so formal? Any friends of Jasiri's Is a friend to us." Jarjar said with a smile. "really?" Onmy? asked and Jarjar nodded. "thank you." Onmy? said smiling. "Onmy?? Who's here?" asked his sister as she came out of their home and looked around. "Nayla! What are you doing? you shouldn't be out in your condition." Onmy? said moving over to her. "I'm blind, not sick!" she whispered to him. "Peter? who is this?" the youngest male asked with a bit of a blush. "this is Nayla, Nayla this is, uh." Onmy? spoke. "Bucky." the male hyena exclaimed with a little blush.

"oh! nice to meet you." Nayla exclaimed as she bowed lightly, she seemed to be staring right at him and yet beyond him at the same time. "Um, are you ok?" he asked looking concerned for her. "yeah I'm fine, you?" she told him tilting her head. "Um, yeah I guess so." He spoke sounding a tad concerned as he looked at Onmy?. "she's fine." he told him getting protective of his sister. "ok, ok, no need to get hostile." he told him slowly backing away. "now brother, no need to be over protective. I'm blind." she said with a confident smile causing all the hyena's mouths to drop open causing Onmy?'s eyes to go wide as he looked at their reaction.

"um, why is it so quiet all of a sudden?" Nayla asked as she flicked her ears as if she was looking for any sound of them. "I don't know how to respond to that." Bucky told everyone causing Nayla to giggle. "Nayla mom and dad told you to stay inside." he told her. "why should I when I know my big brother will protect me." she told him leaning up against him. "big? Nayla we were born on the same day! Granted I came first." he told her. "yeah, I kicked your bum out to tell me what the world was like." she told him giggling causing the others to chuckle and Onmy? to give a smirk. "funny." he spoke as he nuzzles his sister.

Bucky smiled and bit his lip causing it to bleed a little. "um, is someone hurt?" Nayla asked sniffing the air. "no, no, no one's hurt." Bucky told her nervously. "if you say so." she told him still sniffing the air. "so, peter, why are we here when we can go somewhere else and get to know our new friend better?" Jarjar asked. "weeell." Onmy? trailed off. "yesterday he didn't wait for mom and dad to get up or told them where he was going, and top it off he was out late and attempted to sneak into bed, for that his punishment Is to sit here and not move from this spot." Nayla said with a smile. "yeah, sorry about that" Jasiri told him with her ears down.

"don't be sorry, I had an amazing time with you." he said with a smile. "yeah, after going to bed, he said, and I quote, worth it!" his sister said with a smile causing both Jasiri and Onmy? to blush and the other males giggled at that. "so um, Peter, I was wondering, can you teach us the song you sang when we met?" Jasiri asked. "well, I don't know." he told her. "Please!!!" The four hyenas begged. "Well ok." He said and began to sing, after a while all six of them were singing beautifully in harmony. "That's such a nice song." Bucky said out loud, and everyone nodded in agreement, while they were singing Nayla got close to Bucky causing him to blush.

"We need to get going otherwise mom is going to worry about us." Fifle told everyone. "oooh five more minutes please." Bucky told him as he leans on Nayla. "aww you two look cute together." Jasiri told them causing them to sit up straight with a blush on their faces. "Not as much as you two." Nayla said with a smirk causing both Jasiri and Onmy? to blush as they slightly moved away from each other. "Oooh, that hit the spot." Jarjar said chuckling. "peter and Jasiri sitting on a rock K.I.S.S.I.N.G. first comes love second comes marriage, next comes a baby in a den." Fifle and Bucky sang. "Jarjar their doing it again!" Jasiri whined.

"Alright, alright, but seriously we do need to get going." Jarjar Said with a chuckle. "ooh Five more minutes please!" Bucky asked looking at the other two boys as Nayla nuzzled him, Jarjar looked at them than at his sister and Onmy?, then smiled. "alright, me and Fifle will cover for ya." he said Before both of them ran off, Bucky and Jasiri nodded as they continued to lean against Nayla and Onmy?. "So Nayla what do you like to do for fun?" Bucky asked. "well Onmy? took me to a place along the coast once but that was before we realized... know what, Never mind." she Spoke. "no no, we can go there, it'll be fun." Onmy? told them. "But Onmy? your har... I'll be fine!" Onmy? interjected with an ear-to-ear smile.

"if you say so." Nayla said with a worried tone causing Jasiri to get worried as well. " come on it will be fun." Onmy? said out loud as he started walking and the other three followed with Nayla following them by sound, after a while they made it to a cliff with a slide like Formation. "last one down is a rotten egg." Onmy? said jumping onto the slide and sliding down and out of sight, the two hyenas looked at each other and then jumped on after they saw Nayla slide down with zero fear, they slide down a cliff lifting off of the slide And back onto another slide like structure.

Their hearts beat rapidly as there were twists, turns, and ramps that launched them into the air and back onto other types of slides, after a while they slid into a glowing chamber with Multiple colored gems. "what is this place?" Jasiri asked looking at all the glistening gems before hearing the sound of Coughing echoing throughout the chamber. "see! I told you this would happen." Nayla's voice echoed. "I'm fine Nayla, don't worry about me." Onmy? exclaimed as he wiped some blood away from his mouth just as Jasiri and Bucky came into view. "is everything ok?" both asked looking worried. "oh! yes everything is fine." Onmy? said with a smile. "Peter Promise me you'll not do anything that can hurt you on the inside." Jasiri asked.

He moved close to her and nuzzled her. "come on." Onmy? said motioning them to follow, they nodded and followed him deeper into the cave, while going deeper they see the gems and crystals get more packed along the walls until a light appeared at the end of the cave tunnel, upon entering they saw the chamber filled with the gems and crystals and glowing thanks to a little bit of sunlight hitting them, and making a nice tune while water drips on some of them. "this place is so beautiful." Jasiri spoke walking beside him, Onmy? began to hum to the tune, often adding his own between the gaps of sound, then Nayla began to hum along as she moved closer to her brother.

Then with a smile Jasiri and Bucky joined in, they continued to hum Nayla began to lean on Bucky while Jasiri leaned on Onmy?. "not as beautiful as you." He whispered causing Jasiri to snap out of her trance. "huh?" she asked looking at him. " oh! Nothing." He spoke up looking and looked away with a bright red face, causing Nayla to chuckle a little. "what's so funny?" Jasiri asked Curiously. "nothing." Bucky spoke as he bits his lip trying not to laugh, Jasiri looked at them with a glare when Onmy? nuzzled her causing her to snap out of her gave and nuzzled back.

The four leaned on one another as they Listened to the melody that the crystals produced. "this is really beautiful." Jasiri exclaimed. "I think I found something even more beautiful." The boys whispered. "huh?" the girls asked as Jasiri reluctantly tore her eyes away from the lights to look at Onmy?, causing him to smile lovingly at her, she gave him a smile as she gazed into his eyes, after what seemed a few seconds the light began to get dark and give a slit orange tent to it causing the group to snap out of their love sick trance. "we got to go. Mom n dad will be furious with us." Onmy? exclaimed.

"right, we better go too. See you tomorrow?" Jasiri asked him causing him to smile and nod. " good night Dazzle." He told her. "good night Peter." She told him, while the group walked for a bit more before leaving the Cave and going their own ways. "so, Onmy?, have fun impressing her?" Nayla smile as she trots along beside him. "what! No, she's just a friend." He said blushing causing Nayla to grin. " I may be blind but I can see shapes, and saw both of you." She nudged him with a smile as they moved. "I could say that about you and your Boyfriend." He told her causing her to blush.

Soon came back to their den. "it doesn't seem mom and dad are back yet." Nayla told him sniffing the air. " that's good, it means we won't be in trouble." Onmy? exclaimed as he sat down in the spot he was grounded, while Nayla walked inside, as soon as Nayla was inside Onmy? started to roll into the dirt to get the smell of a stranger off him. "there, hopefully mom or dad won't smell her on me." He whined at that thought, soon after he heard large paw steps coming. "Onmy?, we're home!" he heard his mom call as he turned to her. "I hope you learned your lesson?" his mother told him. "yes mother I'll never stay out late again." He told her.

"good, now come and eat dinner and then go to bed." She told him as his father drags a dead animal into the den causing Onmy? to follow close behind, the father smiled as he set the meal down and the family began to eat. "so how was the hunt?" Nayla asked. "took longer than we thought but we got some." Their father told them as they ate, sometime later they finished their meal and went off to bed. " today was a good day." Onmy? exclaimed. " no a Great day!." Nayla declared before they both laid down and drifted off to sleep.
