Chapter two is here! A bit of spelling and grammar mistakes but not too much. Finished chapter two recently so here ya go guys! =P
July 2011: Hey guys just editing the first four chapters a bit, no more huge random gaps between each sentence. Anyway, chapter 5 should be done by the end of this week. (3 days)
Chapter 2
Love
The next moring at king Kyurone's den.
Kyurone yawned before groggily standing up. He grabbed a piece of meat from a corner and chewed on his way to the edge of the cliff. "Well here goes..." He said before letting out a roar to wake the forest pokemon. After which a female Espeon emerged from the den and slowly made her way over to him. She had a shiny violet coat of fur and a shining ruby on her forehead complimenting her vivid blue eyes. "A little early don't you think?" She said yawning.
"Ahhh well... they won't mind a few minutes, you worry too much Sakuya." He said chuckling a bit at her 'bed head'.
She sighed. "Whatever, I'm going to go wake Elina. Are you coming in are do you have more pokemon to yell at?" Sakuya said before licking his cheek and making her way back to the den.
"Hey it's not yelling, I just woke every... erm most of them up!" He retorted before she disappeared into the cave. Kyurone was about to go join his mate when he heard chatot, his trusty advisor on top of the tree beside his den.
"Good morning your majesty!" Chatot chirped happily as he flew down landing in front of the large Arcanine.
"Why hello Chatot, I didn't see you yesterday where were you?" Kyurone asked curiously looking down to look Chatot eye to eye. As he was much bigger than the colorful bird.
"Yes well ya see, I was making my way over to your den when I ran into Umbreon. We chatted for a bit, after that I saw that Mightyena, Mike I believe, causing mayhem to some other pokemon..." He gasped for breath and was inturrupted before he could continue.
"Woah slow down there! It's fine, not like I'm mad at you or anything." Kyurone held back a laugh.
"Oh before I forget, last night I saw Umbreon walking back to his den with a younger Umbreon. Maybe he had a kid?" Chatot squaked.
Kyurone thought for a moment. (Hmmm... Umbreon has a kid? Nobody has seen him with anyone... at all.) "I'll have to pay our friend Umbreon a visit." He said before hearing a rather loud grumbling noise coming from his stomach. "Right after I have a proper breakfast... Well goodbye for now Chatot." He said after hearing the noise.
"Goodbye then." Chatot replied before taking flight into the trees. He flew in the direction of Umbreons den, stopping a few times to say hello to some pokemon. When finally he arrived at Umbreon's den he ushered a hello and waited as it echoed in the cave. He was about to fly off when he saw 9 glowing yellow rings, and as they moved foreward Umbreon emerged from the cave.
"Oh hi Chatot..." He yawned having just woken.
"Morning Umbreon, last night I saw you with a younger looking Umbreon. That wouldn't happen to be your young one would it?" Chatot questioned getting right down to buisiness.
"Huh oh you.. mean Chase?" Umbreon said still yawning a bit. "Yeah he's... uh mine." He tried to sound convincing enough.
"Oh so my eyes were not just playing tricks on me, well Kyurone is coming here in a bit to see him." Chatot said before taking off.
"A-alright..." Umbreon said nervously. (Oh geez...) He thought. (Huh wait wha... how?) He said in his mind looking at the yellow ringed Chase curled up in a corner of the den. (His rings are... normal?) "Huh... okay then, at least this makes things easier." He chuckled as chase yawned and opened his eyes.
Chase's vision blurred for a moment as he woke and saw Umbreon getting some berries from a corner for breakfast. "Goodmorning dad!" He said happily.
"Morning sleepy head." Umbreon replied dropping the berries in front of him. "Eat up, King Kyurone is coming to meet you today." He said uttering a smile.
"A king, awesome!" Chase cheered as he bit into a pecha berry.
"For you maybe..." Umbreon muttered before biting into a tomato berry. After he and Chase had both eaten what they wanted, he took the uneaten berries back to the corner. After he turned and walked to the entrance of the cave, seeing Kyurone fast approaching. "Hello your majesty." He said as the Arcanine came to a halt in front of him.
"Hi there Umbreon, seems like we haven't spokem for ages." Kyurone said looking down at Umbreon.
"Thats because we haven't..." Umbreon muttered under his breath.
"Chatot has informed me that you have a child, is this true Umbreon?" Kyurone asked looking around Umbreon only to see the darkness of the cave.
"Yes I do and his name is Chase, Chase come here Kyurone wants to see you." Umbreon shouted a little. Chase came slowly walking out of the darkness with his head down and not looking directly at the much bigger Arcanine.
"No need to be shy!" Kyurone said looking over Chase. Chase looked up a little to look him in the eye.
"H-hi..." Chase mumbled felling a little insecure around the huge orange dog.
"Chase he's a guest! Not to mention a king!" Umbreon said a little upset with Chase.
"It's alright Umbreon don't pressure him too much, but you will send him out tommorow yes?" Kyurone questioned adjusting his gaze to meet Umbreons. Umbreon nodded now feeling a bit scared himself. "Good, well I'm off goodbye." The Arcanine said as he darted off towards the lake. Umbreon stood in that same position until Chase who was now getting worried started pawing at his face to wake him from his trance.
"Huh, oh sorry I just zoned out for a bit there. Sorry if I scared you..." Umbreon sighed as he sat on his four paws.
The next day
"Chaaaaase get up already..." Umbreon said nudging chase who was still half asleep. "come on you gotta go out and meet other kids, make friends!" he said as he nudged Chase one last time before he stood up.
"I don't wanna meet other kids, I'm fine here with you!" Chase argued.
"Yes but I won't be here all the time to play with you, you need to make friends so you can play all you want!" Umbreon growled a bit. Chase finally gave in at that, he grabbed a pecha berry and ate on his way to the center of the forest where most of the pokemon socialize.
Chase was looking around when he bumped into a big black and grey furred wolf-like creature. He looked up and saw it was a Mightyena that he had bumped into. He looked to be a bit bigger than himself but not very friendly looking. "Oops I'm sorry I wasn't looking where I was going..." Chase said a little embarrased.
"Shut it!" The Mightyena growled.
"I said I'm sorry!" Chase said backing away.
"Well sorry don't cut it mister!" Mightyena growled as he pinned Chase down and bit down on his neck.
"Mike leave him alone!" A female Espeon said as she shoved the Mightyena off of Chase.
"Owwwww... Thanks." Chase said as Mike fled into the trees.
"No problem, I'm Elina by the way." She said as she helped Chase get back on his four legs.
"I-i'm Chase..." Chase said blushing a little, which made Elina giggle a little. "Hey whats so fu..." He was inturrupted by Elina tackling him, he soon got the idea and they started rolling around in the grass nipping at each other playfully.
A few hours later they got to know each other better as they walked to a nearby lake. They found the perfect spot beside a rock close to the shore to sit and talk about their lives so far. Elina slowly crawled closer to Chase until she was lying right beside him. "Ya know your kinda cute..." Elina says blushing, which makes Chase blush aswell. Chase sighs before getting up and ushering Elina to follow. They walk along the beach and Elina asks.
"Hey Chase hows you parents, they doing okay?"
"Huh oh, well my mom left for a while and my dad.. Oh I gotta go!" He says before turning and running toward his den but is stopped by Elina tackling him.
Before he can question her reasoning for tackling him she kisses him. Chase shocked hesitates and kisses her back. "I-I gotta go.." He says as he darts for his den once more.
"Bye Chase... I.. love you." Elina says before he gets to far, she hears her words mimicked by Chase as he dissapears into the forest.
"Finally home..." Chase mutters as he enters his den seeing his father looking down at him looking very upset.
"Where have you been Chase?!" Umbreon yells.
"Well I was... I met a friend." He says managing to utter a smile.
"Thats no excuse but come here I need to tell you about your mother..." Umbreon says in a lot more calm voice, maybe even sad.
Chase follows his father and sits beside him in the corner where they usually sleep and asks. "What is it?"
