#11 of Lost in your Eyes

so this is a different story im trying to write. I tried one just a little while ago and after rereading it I just about threw up. I hope this one doesn't end up the same way :(

I may be polishing this up a bit with some further description, but I just needed to get an idea down. I also wanted others to see it too so they can give me tips on what I can further describe. I'm a nab writer, but i dun wanna be!

The scene was beautiful. A forgiving Spring green glowing through the heart of Winter, only the cold of the season winning the battle. The sky was clear, sun shining down on the landscape and seemingly piercing the trees to allow no shade. Even the moon could be seen on the opposite end of the sky.

A lone wolf laid in the grass in this place. Mike was a six foot tall slender built gray wolf. His fur was longer than usual, each hair moving in waves along with the grass as each breeze blew over him. He has the bluest eyes in the world, eyes that stirred a great warmth in the groins of females. He was indeed a charming male...but his interest only lied in his own kind...males.

Mike looked to his left and smiled as the silhouette of a fox approached him. "Darty...I've missed you, babe." Mike stood up quickly, tearing up as he ran to the fox.

"FEAR THE REAPER, BABY TAKE MY HAN..."

Mike shoved his alarm clock onto the floor as he woke up from his dream. "Mother fuck..." He grumbled as he pulled the covers over him again, praying that he could continue his dream.

Fifteen minutes later, his mother burst through the door. "Mike, get your ass up now! You'll be late for school!" She came into the room and flung him off his mattress, forcing him onto his feet and sending much needed energy through his body. "Okay okay, I'm up!" Mike's mom, Ronda, was a very large wolf, towering at seven feet tall. Unlike Mike, her fur was dark black. The only two similarities between the two of them were the eyes and the species. She left the room in a hurry, making sure he would be able to walk straight out the door once he was dressed.

Mike made it to school only two minutes late, not enough for the teacher of his first class to really care. It was Pre-Calc, and Mike was so professional with the material that Mrs. Glay would never say if he skipped class or showed up even 50 minutes late. He always went to first period anyway to see his boyfriend...well, that used to be why. Now he just stares at the door when the teacher isn't looking, thinking Darty could pop in at any time.

The truth is that Darty had passed away 3 weeks ago in a car accident. Darty and Mike were secret lovers for 4 months, and they never became bored with one another. They only fought when comming out of the closet became a topic of discussion. Darty wanted to be open with Mike's family, but Mike wasn't ready. Fortunately, they both had agreed comming out in school was far to risky.

3 weeks ago, Mike had made the decision to let the families know of their love. Mike had a car then, a beautiful malibu that had no problems whatsoever. He drove over to Darty's place to pick him up after they agreed they needed to have dinner with Mike's parents first. Mike's parents didn't know of their son's sexuality yet, but that was when the truth would be shoved down their throats...or so they thought. Mike was distracted as he reached over to give Darty a quick kiss on the lips while making a left turn...but a driver using his phone ran the red light and T-boned them at 60 mph. Mike remembers waking up in the wreckage, hearing sirens all around him as he looked to his right. His physical pain was masked by the surge of emotional agony as he saw his sweetheart...bottom half crushed between a caved in door and the gear shift. Darty's eyes were open, lifeless...

Mike snapped back to reality when the class door opened hurriedly. A small red fox of about 5 foot 5 entered into the room wearing a white tanktop and blue-jean shorts that just went below his knees. The fox had inverted fur from the typical red fox, his white fur on his back, red fur going down his front. The fox looked a bit shy as he walked in ten minutes late. "Sorry! I got lost." Some of the students laughed as the fox looked around for a seat. Mrs. Glay stopped her lecture to introduce him to us. "Class, this is Maxamillion Fernandez. He just moved here and I hope you'll give him a warm welcome." Nobody in the class seemed to care about his arrival. It was too early in the morning for that.

One fur did enjoy the intrusion of the fox though...Mike. That face, that body, hell, even the clothes...he could have sworn it was Darty. Mike began to blush heavily as the new fox had to sit next to him, being the only available seat. The fox gave Mike a nod in greeting before he went about getting his notebook and supplies out. Mike almost wanted to cry right there in mourning and joy...he was confused. One thing was certain, Mike wanted to see more of this fox.

Max looked over at Mike's empty notebook, ears folding behind his head as he hoped Mike would have good notes to copy, considering he missed the beginning of class. "Great..." Mike perked his ears up, seeing an opportunity to get to know him better, or perhaps impress him. "Meet me outside of this room after school, I can tell you what the lecture was about." Mike pointed to his head, signaling that he had the lesson committed to memory. The fox smiled some, nodding to the wolf as he looked into his eyes.

Mike's heart fluttered, blood boiling with passion as he saw those eyes...there was something about those dark brown eyes that sent shivers through him. His trance was broken as soon as Max looked back at the board, quickly taking notes from where he missed out. Mike looked up at the board now. "Shit..." he thought, realizing he had no idea what the lecture was about. How would he talk himself out of this one?

"He was the spitting image of Darty! I almost fainted!" Mike exclaimed quietly to his friend Spencer. Spencer was by far the most intelligent being in the school, even moreso than the teachers. The equine had a macho appeareance, augmented by his muscles and street-trash clothing. First impressions would tell a lie about what this brown horse was like. Whether he's truly insightful or not was not certain, but when someone has a perfect photographic memory, and hyperobservation...you can't help but think he's genius.

"Mike, settle down. Don't go thinking that this guy is Darty just because he's got the same odd traits as him." the horse replied. "I'm just a little excited, thats all...who knows, maybe I can move on."

Spencer nodded, thinking otherwise given the situation, but psychology wasn't his strong point. He was a math and strategy kind of guy. "Mike, I'm just saying that you shouldn't rush to try and get in his pants, or start a relationship with him. He may not even be gay!"

Mike frowned a bit. He wanted to ask Max out after school, but in his excitement completely forgot that most males are straight. His smile returned, looking back up at the equine. "Oh well, I'll just kind of sneak the truth out of him." He snickered just as the bell rang for the next class to begin.

The school day was finally over, after eight years of waiting and waiting. He had Max on his mind and nothing else. As the last bell rang, he rushed out of the classroom, confusing everybody with his sudden excitement after 3 weeks of brooding depression.

He made it to his destination outside of his math classroom, waiting there for only five minutes before Max showed up. Max smiled at Mike, and likewise Mike with Max. There were those eyes again...those eyes that made Mike want to jump on the fox and just go nuts on him.

"So...I got the notes from somebody else, since you weren't taking any the rest of the class. I just thought I'd let you know." The fox seemed a little annoyed, as if he expected to get nothing from Mike, which was true unfortunately. "Actually...I was wondering if you wanted to hang out for a while? You're new around here, so maybe I can show you around!" The fox's tail whipped side to side gently, giving Mike a rush of excitement at the sight. His tail started wagging too. "Mmmm...well, perhaps we can just hang out at your place for a while? I need friends first, then I can learn locations." The fox was acting very amorous to Mike, but he wasn't sure if it was a straight guy playing around, or if he was lucking out...

Mike played it safe and smiled in a friendly manner. "Okay, follow me home then. We'll have to walk because I don't have a car."

Max snickered some, "What, did you lose it in a wreck?"

Mike glared back at Max, "I don't want to talk about it..."
