Chapter 14
The Shadow's Ally
As the darkness grew dense and the forest turned quiet, the shadows move and bend before the Awakened Luna. Black mist began to resonate from her blade; black blood leaked slowly from her wound. Her flesh began to regenerate itself, while the blood from the tip of her blade fell to the ground. Luna quickly vanished as strong gusts pushes everyone back. Zen and Sen cheered Luna on as Arianna was thrown with great force into the heavens. Luna quickly struck and jabbed Arianna many times in the air as she reappeared before him, her scythe striking with great speed. Arianna tried to block her attack as the black metal sparked against his white blade. Screeching echoed as Arianna's blade began to crack under Luna's great force.
Arianna jumped back in the air as he landed to the ground, pain overwhelmed his body forcing him to his kneels before them. He grabbed the side of his chest as blood spewed from his muzzle. Luna slowly descended to the ground, her eyes stared down at Arianna.
"Any last words for a traitor?" she asked.
Luna lifted her blade as the black moon reflected off the blade with an eerie glow.
Silence fell upon Arianna as he stared down at the ground, his muzzle moved slightly.
"I...am...sorry...my...Rose..." he said quietly.
Meanwhile back at the Tower of Ancients, Rose looked at the orb floating above Raven with sorrow in her eyes. Her hands tightened as she watched Arianna's blood drip to the floor. Just as tears slowly dripped from her face, the fourth seal began to tremble with great force.
Luna swung her scythe as the blade inch closer and closer to Arianna's neck. Sen hid her face in Zen's bosom. Melody closed her eyes as she couldn't watch the event being unfold. Time seemed frozen as the reaper seemed to have her grasp around Arianna's life. Suddenly, a black metal claw quickly grabbed unto her blade halting her attack. Luna's eyes widen as she watched the arm emerging from the shadows of the underworld. Back at the Tower, Rose was holding on to Raven as he was grasping for air. Blood poured from his eyes as he reached out to the Door of Awakening; the fourth lock shattered as Raven clenched his hand.
Luna quickly jumped backwards as the gruesome figure emerged from the depths of hell. Inuko arose from the dark forest as he watched the dark figure glaring at Luna. The figure's body began to twist and morph as his flesh crackle from the fires of hell. His eyes seem to stare right down to her very existence; while his armor around his body continue to try to regenerate itself.
"I-It...can't...." muttered Inuko.
The black figure struck the ground as the earth was shattered from the impact. Giant pieces of earth upheavals from the ground as it moves towards Luna. Luna stepped back as her grip on her blade tightened, she swung it backwards and quickly strikes the ground in front of her as she separates the attack before her. Inuko froze as the figure and Luna begun their fight, his heart weighed heavy as his eyes couldn't believe what he was looking at.
"Who the fuck are you?!" Luna screamed.
The figure stood in front of Arianna as the blood sky began to morph before his presence. The moon completely disappeared from the heavens as the figure began to step closer and closer to Luna. As the figure reached out to Luna, the shadows quickly shot forth from his arms as they wrapped around her body tightening as she screamed out in great pain. A mile away the screams of Luna reached Lynatic's ears. His eyes forced open as his fur burned like fire. Luna dropped her scythe as the figure slowly wrapped his claws around her neck. Just then Lynatic appeared beside the black figure as he kicked downwards on his arm, shattering the armor on impact. The figure slowly turned around as a black metal tail pierced Lynatic's flesh. As Lynatic laid on the ground, holding onto the tail as it tries to wiggle free; all the girls froze as they watched his blood spray from his wound. Sen fell to the floor in fear, she held her hands over her eyes and cried out.
"SERIOS!" Sen screamed.
As her voice fell silent the earth began to growl, great gusts of wind tore through the forest from the area Serios and the others landed. A piercing chime echoed throughout the forest as a blue creature arose from the forest. His fur twisted in the air, his eyes glowed as bright as the morning sun. As tears fell from Sen's cheeks, Zen clenched her fists with rage. Her hair begun to twist and turn into the wind. Her eyes reflected the blood of a fallen comrade, as her fists gripped tighter and tighter the ground around her begun to break.
"H-How...dare...you..." She said.
The black figure turned towards them as his grip around Luna loosens up. Serios quickly vanishes from sight, Zen then dashes off towards the black figure. As Zen appears before the figure as she thrusts her leg downwards, the figure quickly blocks her attack with his arm and then quickly grabs her leg and thrusts her into the ground. As he slowly looks up, Serios stood before him with a ball of blue light forming in his mouth. The ball of light shot forth towards the figure as it strikes him head on. A huge dust cloud covers the area while the explosion forces everyone back.
Lynatic's body laid on the rubble of the statues, while Luna's body was thrown into the trees. Sen gripped onto the fallen pillar as the wind overwhelms the group.
A figure in a red trench coat with long silver hair appeared. His eyes were the color of the red rose, his skin was pale white. He watched as the black figure lashed out towards Zen and Serios in the dust clouds.
"My...My this is such a rude awakening this time and age... Even the undead can't sleep with all this noise..." he said.
The figure in red walked closer to the group as the figure in black quickly turned his attention towards him.
"Rest in Peace my dearest friend..." he spoken.
The figure in red placed his hand on the black figure as the forest fell quiet. A black beam of pure darkness shot forth from the palm of the stranger's hand as it quickly engulfed the black figure completely. The beam shot forth from the earth and struck the place where the moon vanished. As the light pierced the darkness; the blue sky and pale moon reappeared in the sky once more. The figure in red was standing in the middle of the crater from the impact holding Luna close to his body. His lips pressed against hers for a moment, as he stepped back and revealed his long white fangs.
"No worry my beloved, your Alex is here my eternal rose..." he said softly into her ears.
