Inspiration (Poem)
Short poem I came up with to try and help understand my failing drive, hopefully semi-decent.
Inspiration is a funny thing.
It is as fleeting, as a fling.
Inspiration is a funny thing.
Often fickle, and carries a sting.
Like a mountain climber.
Inspiration can slip.
Falling and falling.
Until you get a grip.
Best not to feed on excuses.
Lest the excuses become nature.
Coming up with this and that.
Waving goodbye to a future.
But still, do not stress.
Do not pressure.
Take things in your own stride.
Take it at your leisure.
So long as the spirit is willing.
And you have the desire.
There is always hope.
So long as you fan your fire.
