chapter four. a walk and a suprise
As they walked through the River Walk they laughed as they chased a small grouping of birds by the Mississippi River. Just as they were leaving the walk they found them self out my the river once again and the sun was slowly setting.
"Brittny! Sit on the railing there. I want to paint you!" Trigger exclaimed happily.
"O if you want me too" she said smiling as she jumped up on the railing smiling her best.
"Try not to move" he said setting up the new supplies they had bought just moments ago.
"Ok I can try: she said giggling.
He smiled as he started to paint. She sat there posed and smiling trying to look her best.
After about forty-five minutes he finally but the brush down and stepped back to see his work.
"You look way better but what do you think of my first try in three years?" he said peering from behind the canvas.
She skipped from the railing and stood beside her brother as her jaw dropped.
"Trigger.... It's so amazing!" she exclaimed staring at the deep detail of her fur and how he made her eyes have the shine she only every saw in photos. She stared deep into the colors in the background and wondered how the made them look to real and life like.
"Wow Trigger it's amazing!" she said hugging him closely.
"well Happy Birthday sister" he said hugging her back laughing.
"How did I forget my own birthday!" she exclaimed blushing through her white fur.
"You had a rough night" he said automatically regretting bring up the night before.
"yeah..." she said sighing she leaned up to kiss his cheek "thank you for the amazing gift Trigger"
"your welcome Brittny" he said sighing "lets head home before some monsters come and get us" he said laughing picking her up with one arm and grabbing the supplies with the other.
"PUT ME DOWN!!" she said giggling.
"Nope" he said jogging down the walk back the their home.
"What shall I make us for dinner?" she asked as they arrived back home.
"No way! I'm cooking" he said pushing her down in to a chair.
"My birthday my rules!" she exclaimed happily dancing her way into the kitchen.
"DON'T OPEN THE FRIDGE!" he exclaimed running after her.
Before he could stop her she all ready had the door open with her hand covering her mouth. She looked in closer to see a messy cake with her name on it and a small necklace next to it.
"Oh Trigger!" she exclaimed in tears holding him "did you really do all this for me?"
"yea I did..." he said rubbing the back of his head.
"Trigger that's so sweet you big softy" she said punching him in the gut with a flash she was pinned as Trigger threw his own punch back causing them to wrestle.
After their match and her clear win over him they sat down to enjoy some of the home made cake and she tried on her new necklace.
"Oh!" she gasped looking down. "Emeralds?" she asked dazed.
"yes just like your eyes" he said smiling.
"WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU! NOTHING EXPENSIVE! DAMN IT TRIGGER!" she threw a small bit of icing letting it hit his face as she laughed at how she sounded so angry.
