This is a story about a Quilava and a Bayleef. Don't ask me why I came up with this idea I don't know myself , it was a compeletely random thingy idea thingy blabla okay. Don't start searching for a meaning for this writing. I just wrote it for fun. Just fun. Nothing else. You got that? Okay. ^^

Seriously.

Lets readomento------------------

Oh my signature

MasterG (why the hell did I call myself that anyway? who cares)

Enjoy my dear friends!!

"Argy!! Watch your back!!"

Argy noticed a thick stream of water coming his way, and without hesitating he swiftly rolled to the side. He was a fire type, precisely a Quilava, and he hated being covered by water and tried to avoid it given the chance, and now was no exception. The liquid merely missed by an inch.

A not too friendly looking Golduck was blocking the way onto the field, making Argy and his friend Benjay (an Arcanine) battle in the forest. He stared with the intention to kill, and Argy could feel it.

The Quilava stood up, shaking of the dust.

"Dude that was close!!"

Argy was joined by Benjay. The two of them didn't take their eyes off the water type, because they couldn't predict when the next attack would accure. Argy concentrated.

The Golduck opened his mouth. The Quilava prepared to jump.

-BZZZZ!!!!

The Golduck was struck silent, and eventually his body fell to the ground, showing his obvious defeat. Argy and Benjay stared in surprise not understanding the reason behind the sudden occurrence.

But as a familiar figure popped up from behind the water type, it all became clear.

"Ray!! Right on time my friend! I could kiss you!!" Benjay blurted out his happiness, or his relief not having to battle a strong water type opponent.

Ray, a Raichu, couldn't respond immediately. He was tired and wounded, breathing deeply. Argy and Benjay noticed and quickly ran over to help him stand.

"You can spare the kissing, but you could give me a ride for the day. I was looking for you guys, we need your help to back up Alicia and her crew, they're having problems with a Tyranitar and some other ridiculously strong Pokemon."

The orange mouse coughed, holding onto Benjays leg. Argy and the Arcanine exchanged looks.

Benjay nodded.

"Up we go." The Quilava lifted the Raichu. He didn't stand on his back legs much but he just needed to do it to help his friend.

"Ey!"

"There..."

Ray wasn't the lightest of all creatures, but regarding the situation Benjay didn't care. After the Raichu got a grip on his shoulders, he prepared to move.

"Okay, lets get out of here and onto the field." Ray felt much better, he couldn't describe his pleasure not having to walk on his wounded leg anymore. The Arcanine smiled.

"Okay, lets do this."

He started to run beginning with a slow pace, letting Ray adapt to his movements and eventually increased his speed as soon as the Raichu felt comfortable. He realized that his friend wasn't so heavy after all. They swiftly passed the trees, which were mostly broken and burned.

Argy followed, hearing Ray give instructions to Benjay as they ran. He was tired, and sick of war.

Yes, this was the so called "War of Freedom". He didn't know why it was called that, but he didn't really care either, because no matter the name the only thing that he experienced was pain, suffering and sadness. Countless friends of his were already dead, so many villages were burned or destroyed within minutes. For what? Just because a group of legendary warriors were trying to take down the rulers of the four islands.

Yes, it was a whole political nonsense. And nobody knew if it was the true story or not, everybody just fought to survive and to protect their family and friends.

Even as he ran he could her the screams of Pokemon battling, and with every scream his heart raced, hoping that it was nobody he held dear. It was his third day at war, and the amount of battles he endured and witnessed was unbelievable.

The smell of smoke made it clear that the forest was on fire, though luckily for the three it was somewhere distant.

"Argy! Keep up will you?" Ray shouted.

Argy looked up and saw Benjay and Ray standing about 20 meters away from where he stood. He was so lost in his thinking that he forgot to keep up his pace. He was obviously worn out.

"Sorry fellas!" he tried to catch up, shaking his head.

His two friend continued through the forest, not looking back. Argy noticed that the field was now visible, but he couldn't really describe what he saw because there was so much action at once. Fire, water, vine whips, hyper beams, thunderbolts, everything...everywhere.

"Holy..." The Quilava stopped. He couldn't believe how much Pokemon he saw at once, how much pain. This was a real disastrous sight.

There was a sudden scream, coming somewhere from the left. The Quilavas ears twitched.

"Huh?"

The scream came from the forest. He looked back at the field, noticing that his friends were out of sight. He didn't know what to do.

Another scream followed, it was quite distant, but Argy felt the urge to help. It sounded like a female.

Damn it!! Sorry guys!!

He darted off into the direction he thought would lead him to the source of the scream. He felt a bit bad for letting his friends battle without him but he just could leave somebody when they were in pain. At least that what he thought.

The smell of smoke filled his nose, making it hard to breath, and eventually even hard to see.

But Argy ran nevertheless eventually stopping to look around. The constant view of trees and smoke coupled with the gloomy weather made him fell dizzy.

Crud, where the hell did that voice come from again...

Huh?

There, through the smoke was a visible fire.

Hmmm....

Argy walked towards it, jumping over a log that was in his way.

God damn, smoke here....I can't even see two feet in front of my face!

And it was then that he heard a not so loud moaning, that was then paired with a hideous laugh.

Two crossed trees blocked the way and to get a better view he jumped one of the trees.

What's this? Woah!

The sight made the Quilava feel uneasy. There, surrounded by fire was a Magmortar. The creature was pointing his arm at at a helpless Bayleef. The grass type couldn't even look the opponent in the eye, she desperately tried to catch her breath. It seemed like it was a one sided battle, because the Magmortar didn't seem to be exhausted at all.

"It's a shame killing such a pretty girl, but It'll serve you right for thinking you could even scratch me...Pha..." He grinned.

The Bayleef was covered in blood, and even some of the bruses were visible from where Argy was.

The poor creature looked up, her eyes were filled with tears. She coughed, releasing the stored blood in her mouth. The Magmortar stretched his arm.

"Bye... - uhh!!"

The Magmortar experienced an unpleasant collision with Argys Flame Wheel, sliding into a nearby tree. Argy moved in front of the grass type Pokemon, making himself ready for a battle.

The Bayleef watched in surprise after opening her eyes. There was still blood dripping from her lips.

The Magmortar stood up, eyeing the newcomer with hate.

He obviously didn't want to waste time, because he immediately pointed his left arm at the Quilava. There was actually no reason for talk, because this was a war they were in and it was obvious you would get attacked eventually.

"You brat...."

The Magmortar released a rapid flamethrower that cut through the air like a piercing bullet. Argy dashed in time, feeling the heat even though he himself was common with fire. He ran, giving the opponent a hard time trying to get him.

"Rrrghh......." The Magmortar growled. His aggressive and arrogant nature made him feel really angry.

Argy made it in time behind another tree, though this didn't stop his enemy. The fire hit the wood with full power while the Quilava urgently tried to come up with a plan before it would be too late.

"Hahaha....."

The Bayleef watched in fear. Even though everything happened so fast, she shuddered at the thought that she would be tortured by fire again. If there was anything she hated, then it was fire and the fact that she was getting approached by raging flames that would make short process of her didn't make it easier. She was too weak to even turn her neck.

Argy felt the tree shake a bit. He could even feel the hot air that was produced by the move.

Hey....this might help...

The Magmortar kept up his attack, grinning while at it.

The tree cracked.

Now or it'll be too late....

Argy quickly acted, jumping from his cover and fired a distant smokescreen from his mouth. He gave it his all. Lucky for him the Magmortars attention was his. The whole area between the two was quickly penetrated by black smoke, making it near impossible to see for both. The Magmortar couldn't see anything, and had to cough.

Argy, without hesitating tackled the tree.

There was a loud crack. The long, thick tree started to tip to one side.

"Huh?" the enemy couldn't understand from where the sound came. There was too much shouting and other noises that made it unclear. Argy closed his eyes.

*CRASH*

"Uhh!!"

The Quilava felt some regret for a few seconds, but after thinking what the Magmortar had done to a helpless Pokemon, he could live with it. He opened his eyes, trying not to look at the place where his enemy was a moment ago. The effect of the smokescreen wore off.

"Pheww....that was risky..." He relaxed, acknowledging the fact that the battle was over.

It was then he remembered.

Oh god!! Wait a sec!

He looked over to the center of the small region, which was all surrounded by fire. And there, in the middle, lay a seemingly lifeless body of green mass. The fire was so close that he feared that he was too late. He sprinted towards the circle, leaping into the flame and started to observe the wounded creature.

There was a lot of blood and wounds everywhere. Her neck, her side, mouth, everything. Something must of really tormented her physically, probably the enemy from before, to make her look like she did. But even in such a state, and even if it wasn't the perfect time to notice such things, the fire type remarked her unexplainable beauty.

I hate it...I just can't stand it when innocent creatures die...man...

He then understood that his assumption of losing her was wrong, because the Bayleef gave out a weak cough, revealing the fatigue in her beautiful eyes. Red fluid covered the Quilavas paw. There was no time to waste, the heat was starting to be even to much for Argy. He adapted the intense feeling to save this girl no matter what.

"You...." the Bayleef looked at the Quilava, who put on a caring smile.

"Come on, I need to get you out of here..."

Argy lay down next to the grass type, pushing himself against her. They were about the same size but he knew from his experience that Grass-Type Pokemon weren't so heavy at all.

"Please...try to get on my back...."

The Bayleef panted weakly. Argy understood that he'd have to just apply more force, because the green creature was obviously on bad terms regarding strength at the moment.

"Uuhhh...." He tried to push his body under hers, and the Bayleef eventually tried to stand up a bit herself, gradually placing her legs on the left side over the fire type.

"Okay...hold on, I can't really run so just bare with me a bit because of the fire."

There was no response. Argy stepped forward, feeling the weight of his comrade. It wasn't critical but he knew that he wouldn't have enough strength for too long either.

Uhh....I don't want her to suffer anymore...but I've got to get through these flames...

He gulped, hearing the sizzling sound of the flames around them.

I'm sorry....

He stepped into the fire, feeling some slight pain himself, hoping that the Bayleef didn't experience any problems.

"Uhh..." The grass type moaned. The flame was stinging her body, but she endured the pain knowing that it was just for a short time. Argy tried to move as quickly as he could.

"There...are you alright? I'm sorry-" Argy tried to apologize, but only got a tired moan in response.

"Mnn...thank you..uu...."

Her voice was too sweet. And then-

Silence. Argy could feel that the before existing grip on his body loosened. It was obvious that the female had passed out.

A deep sigh.

"Damn this war..."

He looked around, moving away to make sure they were definitely out of the fires reach. The distant sounds of battle and pain were still present, and somehow, not knowing how himself, Argy felt cold. And even though it was something he had done all day, he sighed...sighed, hoping that his friends were okay and that this would all end as fast as it started.

He made sure that his new friend was secured on his back, thinking about his next intentions.

What....now?
