Episode 3:

This is only about us

The drone camera showed a sweeping panned out shot of the halfpipe as the sportscaster's voice called out, "Hello out there, and welcome to beautiful Mt Ochokah, famous for its picturesque views, its hot springs, but of course, the whole reason we're here today, for its prime boarding conditions!"

"I'm two-time Olympic medalist Jaron Randolf and with me as always is my lovely counterpart and four-time medalist Jasmine Sayotame."

"Thanks, for the intro Jaron. We've got a hell of a competition for you folks today. Well, at least we do on the boy's side of things!"

"Ha! That's right, Jasmine. There's some tight competition for the points leader on the male's side of things, but on the girl's side, Madeline Lashinger has all but wrapped things up for the year."

"That's right, she's finished first place in the last five out of seven meets, hasn't dropped out of the top three all year, and if she pulls off a win here, no one's catching up with her."

The camera finished panning across the resort and slopes before cutting to the two sportscasters standing at the top of the entry gate leading down to the halfpipe. Jaron was a tall but lithe greyhound with jagged blonde hair, ashy white fur, and dressed in a heavy skiing jacket. He held his microphone to his muzzle as he spoke out, plumes of mist coming forth, "Ah, for those of you at home that aren't familiar, here's the quick and dirty on how things work!"

His co-host Jasmine held her own mic up as she spoke, "Every competitor makes three runs down the pipe, pulling off their best tricks. The judges will score them based on height, the difficulty of their tricks, and how clean their run is. Only their best run will count." The other sportscaster was much shorter since she was a mouse with wispy brown hair and dark fur. She had a very thin but strong-looking frame, also wearing a heavy winter coat.

Jaron followed up, "Competitors are then assigned points based on their performance, the totals carrying over throughout the season, and at the end of the season, the one with the most points is crowned champion!"

The mouse flashed the camera a smile before continuing, "Now before we begin, why don't we ride along on the helmet cam and give our audience an up-close view of..."

"So, how does it feel to be here at the pro level, Kai?" Kayla put a gloved paw on her hip, grinning at her brother. They'd broken away from the competitor waiting areas to see one another before things kicked off.

Kai smiled and shook his head. "Feels surreal I gotta admit, Kayla... Still, I just got through qualifying, I don't expect to-"

She bumped her gloved paw against his muzzle. "None of that... Even if it's the end of the season, you go out there and board like you're trying to take the whole damn thing home, you got it?"

He huffed out against her glove, giving her a grin. "Alright, alright, but you better do the same. I wanna see you in the top five or better!"

Kayla showed him a haughty grin and glanced around before huffing out. "Give me a kiss, big brother... and I'll medal for you."

"Daaamn... really? Can't pass up that offer now can I, little sister?" He cooed back as the snow leopards stole a quick kiss behind the staging area, not lingering too long on one another's muzzles.

"Now you have to as well, Kai!" Kayla wheeled around on her snow boots and sauntered back to the staging area.

"Hey! Wait just a second, I never-" He hissed and gave chase but some event staff quickly found them and ushered them to their waiting positions, not allowing him to argue the points.

The women's competition always went before the men's, so Kai had to wait things out, playing the part of a spectator while his sister competed.

Kayla sauntered back into the waiting area, heaters going to keep everyone from freezing while they waited their turn. You'd expect a fiercely competitive attitude but most of the girls tended to be fairly supportive and friendly to one another, most of them...

"Gods... it sucks being at the top all the time, means I have to always go last! So, I think after I win this one, I'll just sit the last three out since you know, I'll already have the whole damn thing." The current points leader Madeline scoffed out while fiddling with her cellphone, most of the other girls in the staging tent just ignoring her.

Madeline was a rabbit, her nickname from her fans was 'Snow Bunny' since she had pure white fur and even had her blonde hair bleached white, sporting naturally red eyes that just made them pop on all the white. She was small but just like you'd expect from a rabbit, had plenty of oomph in her legs, able to get disgusting height for her tricks, her small frame giving her even more hang time as well.

"What do you think, Gina?" Madeline drolled out as she glanced over at the persian cat nearby. Gina Rodriguez was a bit taller than the rabbit and currently in second place in point standings. She had an almost charcoal-colored coat of fur with sharp green eyes and messy dark hair. The cat had won a lot of popularity in the last few seasons, especially with fellow boarders, mainly for her down-to-earth attitude.

Gina simply smiled at Madeline before shaking her head. "I wish you luck, don't think I'll be just letting you have it."

"Luck?" The rabbit gave a loud guffaw of a snort. "Luck is what you wish for low talent riders, not elites like us, Gina!"

"Is that right? Well then, I hope you have a safe couple of rides then." She flicked her wiry fluffy tail a few times before turning away, showing she wasn't going to play the rabbit's game.

Kayla had heard most of the exchange before she pushed into the staging tent to join the rest of the competitors. She saw Madeline cut her red eyes to her and just knew it was coming.

The rabbit called out in a jovial tone, "Fee-fi-fo-fum, here comes the-"

"Stuff it, Maddy," She hissed through her teeth before stalking over to a chair to take a seat.

"Hoo, touchy today, eh Kayla?" The rabbit called out but then just rolled her eyes and turned back to her phone.

The rabbit wasn't far off though. Kayla was the biggest competitor of the females, like, literally, she was the largest girl in the whole pro tour, surrounded by smaller, lighter females. You'd think having that extra muscle might lend for more air, but you also had more weight to get off the ground. Simply put, a smaller girl could gain speed faster and maintain more altitude.

That's not to say it wasn't possible, one of the greatest snowboarders of all time was a lioness, but she also was an oddity in a sport filled with smaller species.

Kayla checked her own phone, smiling a little as she got a text from Kai that simply read, "You got this, little sister <3".

"Alright ladies, let's get this show on the road!" One of the staff called out cheerfully.

"You know what? I don't think I'm even going to make a show of it, I think I'll just lay something down to put it to rest on my first run, then watch you all scramble to keep up!" Madeline huffed out haughtily.

Kayla was currently ranked eleven in the overall point standings and it was a ten-girl competition, she'd drop third since two below her also qualified. One of the girls wiped out the other put on a fairly middling run of 54.2.

She dialed the music in her earpieces to something angry as she stalked out to the entry gate, but paused it for the introduction, they were required to pose for the camera and listen to at least part of the host's spiel that played out of loudspeakers near the tent.

"So our next competitor is Kayla Hannah, this is her rookie year and she currently stands just out of the top ten in points," Jaron spoke out to the viewers as she saw the camera close up on her, giving it a quick two-fingered salute through her glove while locking her board tightly into place.

"Her twin brother Kai is actually debuting later today on the men's side of things, so it's a family affair!" Jasmine chimed out.

"Kayla is the biggest competitor on the female side of things, how important is that, Jasmine?"

"Oh, it's huge, Jaron! She has to work extra hard to get the lift on her jumps and that weight is going to just pull her down even faster, so she'll have to time her tricks and approach perfectly."

"Huh, is there any advantage to that size, Jasmine?"

"Oh sure, if she can approach and really kick off with her legs, she could get some monster air, something we've not seen out of her this season, unfortunately, I have a feeling-"

Kayla turned on her angry rock metal and snarled as she put her phone away, "Not seen yet, bitch..."

She had been kicking her tail with her brother, she had to put on a good show for him, she just absolutely had to. Kayla didn't care about the stupid rabbit, she just needed to show Kai she meant business.

Beginning her approach she just tuned everything out but the run, angry music blaring in her ears as she dropped into the pipe. She kicked off and even she hadn't expected that kind of height, she was really dialed in as she grabbed her board, executed her trick, and lined back up. Her knees were bent and she hit the pipe at just the perfect angle, getting full speed from the approach.

Her second had just as much air, so she added an extra twist into the maneuver before dropping back into the pipe. By now she could hear the crowd, they were actually starting to overpower her own music.

By the time she ground her board to a halt, her heart was pounding in her head. She pulled the earpieces out, hearing the crowd roaring for her as she blinked her eyes wide, seeing the camera shoved right in her face. She mewed out and gave an awkward grin before lifting her goggles up and waving.

"What in the world was that?!" Jaron called out, shock and awe in his voice.

"That was Kayla coming out and making a statement, that's what that was! I've not seen air like that out of her in... ever! I don't think I've seen that kind of amplitude in the last five competitions!" Jasmine huffed out, sounding more excited than anything else.

The moment caught up to her as she realized she'd just put down a monster of a run. She showed her teeth in a cocky grin at the camera and gave it a finger gun. "Beat that, Kai!"

Kayla waited anxiously for her score before the judges got back to her, it was the highest she'd ever pulled off, an 86.5, giving her a commanding lead. A few moments later Jasmine trotted over, her tail whipping about as she shoved her mic into Kayla's face.

"Kayla! Where have you been keeping that all year!?" The mouse gave her an eager grin.

The snow leopard rubbed the back of her head and laughed. "What can I say? I do my best when my brother's around! He's my biggest inspiration and competition!"

"That's amazing, I can't wait to see what he brings to the competition later to answer you, but congrats on the best run of your career!" Jasmine slapped her shoulder as she broke away.

Kayla rode the lift back up to the top where Kai was waiting for her, his tail wagging like a dogs would as he ran over to her before she even got off the lift. "Kayla, holy shit!"

"Right?!" She clenched her paws into fists. "Gods... all I could think of was you, Kai... I just... I wanted to make it worth it, worth dragging you back into my life."

He just hugged her but he didn't kiss her since they clearly had cameras on them, looking like two excited siblings sharing a moment. "Gods, Kayla... I'm so proud of you, that was amazing!"

She pushed him off her with a grin and met his eyes. "You better beat my score later, Kai! If you don't..." Her blue eyes sparkled as she puffed out hotly, "I'll be in charge, big brother..."

He gave her a crooked grin and nodded. "Sounds fun, I'll throw the competition!"

"Shut up, asshole!" She gave a laugh as she pushed him again and they started walking back to the staging area.

Kayla sauntered back into the waiting area with a big grin on her face as all the other girls cheered her on with congratulations. All but one of them anyway.

"Kayla! What a run, that was so amazing! I don't think I've ever seen a girl your size get that kind of air!" Gina purred out excitedly.

"Hey, are you calling me fat, Gina?" Kayla showed her a grin.

"She's calling you lucky, don't think it'll hold up." Madeline snarled from her seat.

Normally Kayla didn't entertain the rabbit's trash talk, but today felt like the day to do so. "Oh yeah, little bunny? Well, I guess you better go out there and one-up me, so you can sit and watch the rest of us struggle to keep up, eh?"

"That's the plan. My highest score is a 92.7 this season, so don't think your little 86 is worrying me," Madeline hissed out before tucking her phone away and meeting the snow leopard's blue eyes with her red ones.

"Cool, but I'm not competing with you, I'm competing with someone you can never beat, but by all means... good luck, Madeline." Of course, Kayla had heard their exchange earlier, watching the rabbit twitch an eyebrow and ear, showing her teeth in a snarl.

Gina went right before Madeline and brought in a very respectable 79.2 with her initial run. Then it was the current point leader's turn. Madeline just nodded at the camera as she strapped her boots in. Her board was covered in elaborate art with the top sponsor's name on it.

"Do you think Madeline is going to answer Kayla's challenge, Jasmine?"

"She's going to have to if she wants to wrap up the points competition! She better bring one dynamite run to match that one though!"

The rabbit glared at the camera at those words before putting her own earpieces back in and kicking off. Dropping in she went up for her first trick, more spin and flow to it, hanging longer in the air before landing, then moving on to the next side of the pipe. An end over end with a corkscrew, sticking the landing had the whole place screaming as she went up for her third.

She had the air in spades like she always did and when she brought her board to a halt, she already had her goggles up pointing at the camera as she huffed out, "That's how it's done." The whole crowd roared their approval as the rabbit unlocked her boots and sauntered back to wait for her score.

"Well, you said she needed to answer and it looks like she did, Jasmine!"

"Ain't that the truth, but that's not the Madeline we're used to seeing. You could see a lot of her landings were a bit choppy, she got amplitude but not as smooth as we're used to."

"Well, let's see what the judges have to say, Jasmine!"

Madeline gapped her jaws at the score, an 86.2, .3 off from Kayla's. She clenched her teeth and glared before stomping back over to the lift, completely ignoring Jaron who was trying to talk to her.

Madeline stomped back into the tent, Kayla just staring at her, a faint smirk curling up at the corner of her muzzle. "Good run, Maddy," The snow leopard purred out.

On the second run the contestants dropped in following the order of lowest score to highest, so Kayla would be dropping last this time. She hadn't even been really watching much of the competition, talking to Kai on the sidelines while waiting, but she came back to the staging area when it was getting close to her turn.

The crowd screamed and cheered at the score that dropped, an 87.0 clearly answering Kayla's score this time, but it wasn't Madeline that landed it, it was Gina. When the persian walked back into the tent, Kayla was there cheering her on like she'd done. "Holy shit, Gina! Couldn't let me have the limelight for once?" Kayla gave a laugh as she slapped the other cat on the shoulder.

"Hey, I'm still in the points running, I gotta put it all out there too, ya know?" She purred cheerfully and smiled at Kayla. "Thanks though, watching you like that, I just knew I had to step it up!"

"Yeah, that's real competition, right? Rising to our competitor's challenges!" Kayla clenched her gloved paws into fists.

"What is this, a fucking boxing movie? Shut up..." Madeline snarled as she stomped over to the gate.

"Good luck, Maddy! Try to get out of third place!" Kayla called out with a taunting hiss.

The trash-talking seemed to work this time, the rabbit actually wiped out trying to pull off a more elaborate trick, meaning she was still stuck with her original score. Madeline was furious but tried to keep it together on camera. Kayla was already set to drop in before the rabbit got back up the staging area.

"You're a sweetheart, Gina... but this competition is mine, gonna give my gold medal to, big brother!" Kayla dialed her music extra loud so the fans wouldn't drown it out this time and dropped in for her second run.

The snow leopard wowed the fans with plenty of air and pizzazz and when the snow settled, she had an 87.2, retaking the lead once more from Gina.

"Kayla! You're a monster, today!" Jaron pushed the mic into her face as she grinned.

"Just putting on a good show for my brother, Jaron... it's his debut and I promised to medal for him today!"

"Well, unless some serious shake-ups happen in the final round, you're on that track! Good luck, Kayla!"

No such shake-ups occurred. Gina couldn't beat her current score and Madeline almost had a run that might have cinched it but failed to stick the last part of her landing.

"The highest you'd finished all season was seventh before this competition, Kayla, now you've got your first gold, how does that make you feel?" Jasmine hummed out as she pushed the mic into her face.

"You mean my brother has his first gold. This one's for you, Kai, you better medal later and give me yours too!" She showed her teeth with a proud grin at the camera.

"If your brother is fueled half as much by your love as you seem to be by his, I think we're going to see some real fireworks in the men's competition later! Congratulations, Kayla!"

Jaron called out as the camera shot moved back to him, "And what a shake-up in the points standings. Madeline Lashinger was poised to finish her season off, but not only has she failed to do so, but Gina Rodriguez has closed that gap and with only three competitions left in the season, it's going to be a nail biter!"

"But what a performance out of Kayla Hannah, this jumps her from eleventh to sixth place in the points standings. We see a few more like this out of her and she might finish top five for the season." Jasmine chimed in while looking at the camera.

"That's right Jasmine, and if she comes back next season this hungry, we could see a real shift in the power dynamics! Alright, we'll go back to you at the studio, Chaz, we'll see everyone in about half an hour for the men's competition!"

--*--

When Kai first walked into the waiting area for the boys, he was immediately swarmed by every other guy there. The other nine guys all took turns shaking his paw and giving him a hug, welcoming him to the big time as well as the family. Once it settled down it was a very jovial air, most of the guys watching the girl's competition on the TV, some playing around on their phones.

"I'll admit, I was nervous coming in here. Thought it'd just be a seedy mess of competitive angst," Kai huffed out to the small area while sipping on some hot tea.

One of the guys, a small collie breed by the looks of his ears, spoke up, "We're all here for the competition, my friend. Everyone wants to win, but no sense in bringing the chakra of the area down by trash talking. Harmony and respect will attain the enlightenment of the perfect ride." Raul Stallford was a lightweight little dog with sloppy brown hair he kept pulled back. He certainly gave off the spiritual vibes of a shaman as he spoke.

"Ha! Don't listen to this guy, he'll have you smoking a bowl before and after every competition!" The lynx in the group slapped the collie on the back with a laugh. The small dog's eyes did look a little red now that Kai thought about it.

The lynx in question was Jarome Samson. He was a little bigger than the collie and kept his hair shaved right to his fur-line, showing nothing but his slightly curled ears up top with his coat of fur. Like the collie, his coat was a dirt brown color. He gave off what could only be described as, frat-boy vibes. He seemed like a really laid-back party kind of guy that probably happily partook of any willing fans he could get his paws on.

Jarome and Raul were in a three-way tie for points with the third guy that joined in. He was a deer but wasn't currently sporting his rack. It wasn't uncommon for bucks to have their antlers surgically removed for competitive sports, especially in something like snowboarding where wind drag from a bunch of horns on your head could slow you down or throw your balance off. The procedure was minimally invasive, usually being done right at the start of the growing season, so bucks could still choose to let their horns come in later next season if they wished to do so.

The buck went by the name Hiroshi Yukazama and he was the most focused of the trio. His hair was short and jagged in black locks, while his fur pattern was a softer brown than the other two's. He settled his brown eyes on Kai before cocking a brow. "Kai wasn't it? What are you hoping to achieve today?"

Kai frowned at that and looked up at the competition on the TV. "Uh... support my sister, and potentially beat whatever score she lays down."

Jarome perked his ears and purred out, "Your sister is Kayla, right? Damn, she's fine as hell, think you could put in a good word for me, Kai?"

"Ha ha... she's uh... seeing someone I believe." Kai hissed out awkwardly as he grinned at the lynx.

"Shit..." That was all Jarome said as he turned his attention back to the TV.

"An interesting view you hold for this competition, Kai. Why is it you worry more for the challenge of your sister than your own rivals?" Raul hummed out as he glanced up at the competition that was just getting started, the collie giving a little wince as the first rider tumbled on her second pass.

"Oh, uh... shit. I mean you guys are already so far beyond me anyway, but it's always been us since we were kids. If I can focus on making her proud and beating her, that will make me do my best!" Kai laughed out then huffed as they started talking up the next rider, knowing his sister would drop after her.

"We all have different reasons for this, Kai. I personally only have one competitor when I board." Hiroshi moved his gloved paw to his chest, patting it a few times.

"I just do it for fun!" Jarome mewed out with a laugh.

"I feel at peace on the board, it is where I can fully meditate and be one with the ride." Raul hummed out melodically.

"You'd be one with the ride on a toilet if you just finished smoking one!" Jarome gave the collie a playful push against his shoulder.

Kai perked his ears as he focused on the TV when Kayla came to the gate. The other three boys dialed their focus in as well, curious to see how their new competitor's sister was going to handle herself. Of course, they all had seen Kayla at nearly every competition, they knew the kind of run to expect from her, something middling, a respectable clean run but nothing that'd push her into the top five.

"Holy guacamole, what was that?!" Jarome stammered out.

Kai frowned as she pointed at the camera and told him to 'beat that'. The collie offered a laugh of his own at the commentary as Hiroshi cleared his throat, "It seems, your sibling has indeed thrown the gauntlet down, are you ready to rise to that, Kai?"

"Hell yeah, I am! That was amazing, I- I've never seen her get air like that! I gotta go meet her at the lift!" Kai stormed out of the tent.

A few minutes later the remaining trio watched the two leopards talking and embracing at the top of the slope. "I can sense their bond, it is strong. If they lean upon one another, we may have to step our own game up in the coming seasons, my friends." Raul called out conversationally to the room.

Hiroshi simply gave a nod at the words, while Jarome laughed and leaned back on the beanbag chair he was relaxing in. "Good... gives me someone to compete with other than just you two weirdos!" The lynx gave a playful laugh.

The tribulations of the competition for the girl's side of things settled and Kai had quite the undertaking ahead of him. He was at the starting gate, the very first rider to drop in since he was brand new and had no points. Kayla was already hanging out down at the bottom, eagerly awaiting his first run.

"A fucking 87.2, Gods..." Kai snarled the words as he locked his boots in, giving the camera a smile.

"And now we've got Kai Hannah, brother of today's gold medal winner, and making his professional debut. What do you think we can expect to see out of him, Jasmine?"

"I've seen some of his footage from youth competitions, he's got some solid fundamentals, but we'll have to see if the nerves get to him!"

Kai gave a controlled sigh as he turned his music up, and tried to clear his mind. Dropping into the pipe he built speed and hit that first jump. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either, at least he stuck the landing. That was pretty much the theme for the whole run, not bad but not good.

Kayla was cheering him on at the bottom as he came to a stop. "It's okay, Kai, just had to get the nerves out, you can do this!"

He offered her a smile as he moved back to the waiting area. It didn't take the judges long to hand down the mediocre score of 56.2.

"That's okay, man! You rattled the nerves out on that opening run, you'll do better next go!" Jarome called out from his beanbag chair when the snow leopard returned to the waiting area.

"We have all had to suffer through our first times of this, you will adapt. Remember, with experience, comes perspective, Kai." Raul sighed out as he nodded.

Hiroshi just glanced over with his dark eyes and nodded. "Stop overthinking, get your head where it needs to be." His words sounded stern as if he were a coach before returning his gaze to the TV.

The first round came to a close and apparently Raul was indeed feeling the vibe of the ride today, because he was sporting an 85.0. Hiroshi was behind him with an 84.5 and Jarome an 82.0. Kai sat back in next to last place with his measly little 56.2, which meant he'd be second to drop next go.

His second run went a little smoother but still sloppy, didn't matter though as he didn't stick the landing on the last jump and nearly wiped out, slaughtering the whole run with the near fall. His gloved paws were over his head as he ground to a stop at the bottom, the crowds still cheering him for his efforts knowing it was his first time.

Kayla climbed over the small barrier to him, giving his shoulders a push. "Kai, what the hell?!" She hissed out.

Kai frowned as he lifted his goggles, seeing her fierce blue eyes glaring at him as he whispered, "Sorry I just-"

"Are you seriously throwing this shit?!" She hissed out with a glare.

"What? No, I'm just fucking nervous as hell, Kayla, this is all so big and I'm so-"

She grabbed his coat and wrenched him down to her, banging her forehead to his own, a loud snarling purr in her throat. "Stop it! You aren't fucking here for any of that, you're here for me! You're here to support me and to compete with ME. Do you understand? This is about you and me, not anything else!"

He swallowed hard and nodded, trying to calm his pounding heart, her scent heady in his nose from the sweat she'd built up from her own competition. "I get it, I'm sorry I just-"

Kayla hissed out as she saw some of the staff moving towards them to break it up and move the show along. She pulled the medal out of her pocket and shoved it into his gloved paw. "You only think about me, big brother, stop worrying about the rest of this bullshit!" She kissed the side of his muzzle, then quickly moved back to the barricade.

Kai didn't even wait for his abysmal score, didn't even bother looking at it as he got back on the lift, looking down at the small gold medal in his paw as he rode it back up. He got a little more encouragement from Raul and Jarome when he returned, but Hiroshi didn't say anything, just watching the TV.

Once the second round settled, Jarome was sitting at 85.5 having eeked out Raul, with Hiroshi sitting at 85.3, the collie having had to ditch a trick and keep his original 85.0. The three of them clearly were showing why they were in such a tight race for points.

He was in last place now so he was dropping first on round three, as he made his way to the gate Hiroshi called out to him. "You should wear what she gave you, the mic picked up what she said, you are here for her, you said as much when we met you. Start showing it." The buck gave his shoulder a shove before stomping back to his seat.

Kai clenched his teeth as he pulled the medal out of his pocket, glaring hard at it, his eyes feeling wet. He was embarrassed, ashamed even, to know she put so much into it for him, yet here he was floundering. He was so proud of her, he wanted to show her how proud he was, but all he was doing was letting her down. With an angry-sounding snarl, he quickly tugged the medal on and moved to the starting gate.

"Hey, looks like Kai sporting a new accessory to his wardrobe!" Jaron called out conversationally as the snow leopard gave the camera a glare and nodded.

"Well, let's hope he's ready to put up or shut up, because otherwise, sister's medal is the only one he'll be getting today." Jasmine drolled out.

"Oooh that was vicious, Jasmine, I like it!" Jaron called out with a laugh as Kai glared at the camera with a show of his teeth and turned his music up.

Kayla was right, he wasn't here for the sportscaster's bullshit or the points. He was here for her, it was always about her. His whole life had been nothing but her since they were kittens and he'd have it no other way. Kai dropped his goggles with a snarl as he prepared to drop in with nothing on his mind but her.

"I don't care about those guys, all I care about is beating 87.2." He spat at the camera before pushing off and dropping into the pipe. All he thought about was her as he hit that first jump. He heard the crowds gasp in shock at the height he got as he grabbed his board hard, making his twists in the cold biting wind before sticking the landing and continuing.

The second jump brought just as much height, pushing off with his strong legs as he did a full corkscrew, his tail whipping behind him as he stuck once more and continued. The crowd was into it now, screaming and cheering, knowing this was a serious run, a run to contend with.

He hadn't even gotten to a stop before Kayla was rushing over to him and tackling him to the snow with a hug. "Gods! That's what I'm fucking talking about, Kai!" She hissed out and hugged him as he grunted, putting his arms around her, heaving from the intense run, taking in that heady scent of his little sister while she clung.

Kayla shivered and moved nice and close to his ear, whispering faintly so the mic wouldn't catch it. "That got me so fucking wet, big brother..."

Kai mewed out in a huff as she pulled away with a grin, offering a paw to help him up. He lifted himself, his legs feeling like gelatine as he unbuckled his board. His sister offered him a knowing grin, turning back to trot away, some sway in her hips.

"Got those nerves out of your system, Kai?" Jasmine cooed out, shoving her mic in his face.

"Yeah, guess so. Just had to remember why I was here, did I sufficiently 'put up' for you, Jasmine?" He cocked a brow, offering the mouse a knowing look.

"Oh, feisty! Well, let's see what the judges thought." The mouse gave him an approving smirk before the score dropped. An 88.2, a full point higher than his sisters and jumping him from last place right into the lead of the competition.

Kai grunted at the score, in shock at it before pointing at the camera. "There you go, Kayla. I beat your score like you asked." He gave a wink.

"I guess you did put up, good job, we'll see if we see you on the podium, rookie!" Jasmine smacked his shoulder and trotted off.

He didn't need to ride the lift back up since it was the last run, but now he had the agonizing part of watching every one of the nine riders go, waiting to see if he could hold onto his lead. Still, Kayla was happy and hugged up to him down at the bottom of the slope in the waiting area for the top scorers.

"So even if I don't medal, you're proud and happy, Kayla?" He called down into her ears as she nodded and clung to him, purring loudly.

'I am, this is what I was missing, I'll beat your score next competition, Kai!" She spoke out happily.

"Fine by me, I'll just beat that score then!" He hummed back as he patted her hip while they clung to one another.

Jarome made sure he wasn't live before calling out to his staff mic, "Hey, is it okay to have her there with him on live camera?"

"Are you crazy? Let her hang around until the other riders get there, the audience is going to eat that shit up!" Jasmine huffed out cheerfully.

Raul was the first one to strike against his score, but only managed to pull an 85.7 which slid him into second place for the time being. The collie sauntered over next to Kai and gave an amused smile, "It would appear you found your flow and rhythm."

Kai gave a laugh as he rubbed the back of his head. Kayla kissed his cheek and stepped away now that the other potential placeholders were going to need to be standing in the area. "Yeah, I just had to remember why I was here, great run, man!"

"Thank you, I am satisfied with it." Raul nodded as the two of them awaited Hiroshi's results. The buck didn't hold back any punches, wowing the crowds with his honed skills, seeming to rise to the challenge Kai had thrown down. There was a collective shock as the scores came down, it was an 88.2.

Raul gave a laugh and stepped over to the third-place spot, as in snowboarding if the top spot is tied, there are two gold medals awarded but no silver. The buck sauntered over and Kai gave him a nod before stepping away from the first spot to allow him to take it. "Might be a bit crowded with us both there, and you've got more points."

Hiroshi moved to the spot and spoke out cooly, "I disagree with the score and feel I should have had at least 84, but I'll not pout, you pulled off something truly exceptional for your first games, Kai. See that it's not a fluke."

"Well, I feel mine deserved at least an 84.1, so we'll call it square." Kai fired back at Hiroshi with a smug grin. "Thanks, so long as Kayla keeps stepping up, so will I."

Jarome came down last, knocking down an 86.0. The collie gave a shrug and gave both the buck and snow leopard a hug, congratulating them before stepping away, seeing he wasn't getting a medal this time.

"Damn... look at you two, that was a silver run, but now I gotta take a bronze because you two couldn't make up your minds!" Jarome gave them a smirk as he put a paw on his hip.

"Technically you would have had a bronze regardless. It was gold or bronze, those were your options," Hiroshi called out in a matter-of-fact tone.

"You're going to be a force to reckon with, Kai. I look forward to it!" Jarome purred out with a grin.

"Thanks, Jarome, I look forward to seeing more of you guys." Kai smiled at both the buck and lynx.

"Of course, I wasn't about to leave this resort without getting a crack at these hot springs, big brother..." Kayla purred the words as she slid her paws along Kai's chest, claws digging into his fur as she pushed the robe he had on open a little more, exposing those strong muscles along his shoulders.

"You were amazing today, little sister..." Kai purred the words as his own paws moved to her hips, then to the front sash of her own robes, untying them as the silk went slack, making her ample furred breasts push out, peaks hard against the fabric.

There was a distant hollow 'thock' sound as bamboo clacked down from a deer scare as the twins drew their muzzles together in a slow passionate kiss, each tilting their head to allow tongues to meet, sharp little teeth showing as they savored one another after the long day of doing without.

Kayla parted from the kiss as she felt her brother start to tug her robes clear of her shoulders, letting the silk glide down her soft spotted white fur, cascading down into a heap along her footpaws. The leopardess gave him a smug little grin, making a brief pose with one paw on her hip, then was going right after his own robes.

Of course, they were in a private section of the springs, so there were no concerns about being seen. Kayla purred happily as she watched her brother look over her figure as if he were ravenous, then her paws moved to his shoulders, pushing his own robes down to fully expose that scar he sported in her name, strong toned muscles under the spotted white fur coming to full view.

"Excited, big brother?" Kayla cooed the words as she rested her left paw on his chest while she stepped forward, her right handpaw gently grasping his length that was fully slid free from his base, a shock of flesh against the fur.

"Watching you out there... How could I not be? I wanted to drag you down into the snow right there in front of everyone..." Kai snarled as he moved to kiss his sister's muzzle again and again before his own paw returned the favor, pressing his padded-fingers up against her exposed petals, sticky leopard honey coating his digits as he started to circle and tease her pearl.

"Ah... Kai... fuck... right there..." Kayla mewed out, her tongue showing as she dug her claws into his chest, her other paw pumping his length slow but firmly. Her brother snarled down into her ears, nodding as he nuzzled the top of her head.

"C'mon, Kayla... give it to me... huff... huff..." He panted into those ears, then hissed out as he felt her clench his length hard, a sweet blissful mew of a moan escaping his little sister's throat as her claws dug into his chest. Kai sighed into her ears, purring nice and loud as he stroked her pearl, stoking that euphoria in her. "Good girl..."

Kayla sighed happily after coming down from her euphoria and then linked her arm with her brother's. "Ha... you're so good to me, Kai... but you had a higher score, I'm supposed to be treating you... yes?"

"You know I don't care about any of that, Kayla... I just want to be with my little sister," Kai purred as he followed her, both of them stepping down into the steamy hot waters of the spring.

He couldn't help but give a relieved groan as he settled in, biting his lower lip, the waters already easing some of the aches from the day. Kayla gave her own relieved sigh for much of the same reasons, the competition had taken its toll as it always did. That's the thing about being a professional athlete, no matter how much you practice form and prevention, you tear your body up for your trade.

"So... gold medals eh?" He called out with a smile.

"Kai, you got gold medals all the time in our jr events we participated in, it's not like it's a championship or something." Kayla smiled and snuggled up next to him, most of her body under the water but the tops of her shoulders.

"Sure, but it's our first ones, I'm glad we shared it together." He purred and lazily stroked her tail under the water.

"Hmm... not the first time we've shared an important first, won't be the last I suspect." She moved close and lapped his jaw with a small kiss, purring a bit louder as he felt her breasts push against his chest.

"I want all the firsts of my life to be with you, Kayla." Kai brought his paw along her hip and pulled her right into his lap. Water sloshed about as another hollow thunk filled the air, the leopardess biting her lower lip as she stared upon her big brother.

"Kai... big brother... competing with you again like this... ngh... it gets me so fucking hot... you know that, yeah?" She hissed the words out, her hips shifting under the water, small waves splashing forth from her movements.

"Ha... fuck... you don't say? That's only your pussy you're rubbing all over me down there, I'd have never guessed, little sister..." He cooed the pet name, feeling her jerk in response before licking her chops and rising up slightly.

"Hum... never done this blind before... let's see..." She cooed as she shifted her hips, feeling his head push along her thigh then mewed out as Kai jerked his hips forward, grabbing her own hips to pull her as it bumped right against her tailhole. "H-Hey! Not that damn one!"

"Sorry!" He laughed out and gripped her hips, starting to adjust her.

"Stooop! I can do it, Kai! Fuck..." She snarled and pushed his paws away before stubbornly gripping his shoulders and moving back to shifting her hips. It took a few more attempts but she finally managed to get the tip against her entrance.

"Hey, good j- Ngh!" He clenched his teeth hard as the leopardess just pushed him past, then purred deeply as she slowly brought her hips down, taking every inch of her brother's length into her.

Kayla settled back into his lap, her legs wrapping around his waist, water lapping just under her breasts. "Gods yes... that's the spot... right there..." She panted out and ground her hips, feeling his head digging nice and deep.

"Kayla... fuck... ngh... so I gotta let you do all the work, or can I move?" He gave her a playful grin but she just shook her head.

"Nu-uh... you gotta let me please you, big brother..." She purred and pushed her breasts to his chest, leaning against him while her ample rear rose and fell under the hot steamy waters, another loud thock filling the air from the deer scare, water slapping against their wet bodies as she plunged big brother's cock nice and deep with each push.

"Fuck... Kayla..." He snarled and rested his paws on her hips, claws digging in as she met his icy blue eyes with her own, both their matching coats of fur matted from the water as she kept grinding.

"Hum... not gonna call me 'little sister', Kai? Thought that... oh!" She purred and licked her chops, feeling him jump inside her a little as she giggled. "Mmm... yep, it still hits those buttons, eh big brother?"

"Not my fault my little sister is so perfect and sexy... of course, I was doomed to never find a girl to compare..." He drew her close, rubbing his muzzle against her own, the smaller cat returning the gesture before both their maws parted, heads tilting so they could lock into a deep kiss together.

Kayla kept her hips slowly grinding, savoring her brother's length inside her, their tongues lazily rolling together, sharp teeth flashing as they drew in quick huffs of breath. After several moments she broke the kiss with a clenching of teeth and hissed, her body cresting hard, her honey dissipating into the steaming waters as she gave him a mewl.

"Gods... the sounds you make..." Kai sighed as he tangled a paw into her wet hair, rubbing one of her ears while she panted up at him, her tongue showing slightly. "That's enough, little sister... let big brother take care of you now, okay?"

She nodded her head, mewing as his other paw dug claws into her hip, his body moving beneath her, sending rutting thrusts up into her core, water splashing against her breasts while he pumped up into her from below.

"Kai... brother... I love you so much..." Her eyes stayed locked to his, seeing him pant for her, enjoying her body as much as she was his.

"I know... I love you too, Kayla... everything for you, everything... I swear it..." He hissed the words as he gripped a pawful of her hair and pulled her back to him. Both the twins locked into another deep kiss, their tongues rolling as his hips kept pumping beneath her.

The strokes were getting faster, his head bumping snug to her core repeatedly now as she had to break the kiss to clench her teeth. He listened to his twin mewl out again, her walls crushing him as he hissed, her tongue lolled as she blinked into his eyes, her own looking teary from the pleasure.

"Kai... I don't give a fuck about anything but being with you... huff...you're the only boy I ever want, do you understand?" She glared into his eyes as she snarled the words.

"I feel the same, sister... only girl I'll ever want... I'm yours and you're mine, just like it's always been, yeah?" He purred the words into her ears as he felt her hips starting to work again, jerking and pushing against his own under the water, sending him nice and deep, making her ache from the constant pressure.

"Yes... yes... fuck yes... I'm yours, big brother!" She mewed out against his throat as she hugged tight to him, now slapping her rear down hard into his lap, desperate for one more before he gave in.

"Fuck... I- Fuck, Kayla!" He snarled and dug claws hard into that round backside of hers.

"Hold it! Fuck... I'm so... fucking... close! Just hold it!" She hissed out the orders as Kai snapped his jaws together, giving a furious snarl as he tried to fight his own body's urges.

"Gods... damn... it!" Kai yowled out as Kayla widened her eyes and slammed her hips down for one final blow to her core.

"Ha! Give it to me, big brother!" She mewled out as her walls crushed him, then she yowled in time with his own moan, lots of hot love from her brother pouring into her in thick ropes.

Kayla rolled her blue eyes upwards, her tongue sagging out of her jaws, looking absolutely drunk on the euphoria, her body giving in and milking viciously against him as he sent every last drop into her.

Kai had his teeth clenched, drool clearly piddling from his jaws, feral sounding snarls filling his throat until he finally rolled his eyes up, giving a defeated mewl, then a loud whimper as her walls kept crushing him for several moments despite having everything already.

With a relieved sigh, Kayla collapsed onto his chest, feeling the water lap at her back as she nuzzled against his wet fur, another loud thock filling the air from the bamboo clacking in the distance. "Oh yes... fuck yes... been wanting that all day... you gave me so much, Kai..."

He held her close, purring into her ears as he rubbed at those large white-spotted ears. "I love you so much, Kayla... fuck..."

"And I love you, Kai." She purred and nuzzled his chest, giving a loud yawn. "Ngh... now let's finish soaking so I can bask in bed before collapsing."
