Finished commission for KissuneRL - I normally wait until I've had approval from the commissioner before posting the story up, but as I've been ghosted for a week on that one, I'm posting this up as the finished version. Before anyone asks, this isn't the same Hadou that you may be thinking of, it's meant to be my in-game character in FFXIV. They said about having a friend with their character, I couldn't think of what would fit, so I used my Hrothgar.

"OK, remind me just WHY you decided to bring me here again, Hadou?" L'luna asked, looking over at the tall, black-furred Hrothgar. "Cause I feel like I'm wasting my time just sitting here!"

"I brought you here because I thought you could do with a little bit of fun!" He responded to the female Viera. "I mean come on, we nearly died upon averting the Final Day, I'd say that getting out of it alive AND preventing a world-ending catastrophe is reason enough to celebrate!"

"Sure it is..." She muttered. "You're the only one having fun, I'm bored out of my skull!"

"And yet you chose to come along with me to this bar. You didn't have to, but you did so~" Hadou smirked.

"Only because I had to make sure you don't get drunk off your arse!" She shot back.

"Since when have you ever seen me drink anything barring fruit juices and lemonades? The last time I had something to drink that was alcoholic, I was riding my chocobo around in circles outside of the Waking Sands!" He said.

"Oh come on, I know you've said that some of the encounters and fights you've dealt with have 'driven you to drink' on more than one occasion!"

"Yes, and that's why I usually ensure I've got something fruity on hand. Still, does that really matter right now? You should be having fun, why not see if anyone's up for a game of Triple Triad, or maybe even a dance? You're a Dancer, I'm sure you'll dazzle them with your moves!"

"I'm perfectly fine sitting right here until we're ready to go, thank you!" She pouted.

"Urg... I'll go and get us some drinks, then." He sighed, heading up to the bar. L'luna's haughty nature did make it hard to get along with her at times, but they had been adventuring for so long that they were almost inseparable. He just wished that he'd see her smile more often, or at least chill out and kick back.

"Hello there, what can I get you?" The lady at the bar asked, her form mostly concealed by robes.

"I dunno, I probably need a moment or two to think. What exactly can you get for a mopey Viera who's acting like she doesn't want to be here?" Hadou carefully glanced over his shoulder towards L'luna.

"Let me guess..." The barkeep looked slyly at her. "She's the one that looks like she's eaten a lemon?"

"Heh, that's one way of putting it, I suppose!" Hadou chuckled.

"The lass does look like she could do with a slight change of outlook... and I might be able to help you with that~"

"Hrm?" He looked at her, curious to what she meant. "How so, like taking her somewhere else?"

"Not quite the change I had in mind, dear." She giggled, removing her robes to reveal a feathery, avian form. Hadou almost thought of her as a Vanu Vanu, but she looked way too slender.

"What in the seven hells?" He gawked.

"Oh relax, I'm a friendly bird - I wouldn't be serving drinks to people if I wasn't!" She said to him. "I wasn't kidding about the change part, though - if you want, I could slip some Fantasia into her drink!"

Hadou paused for a moment - he had heard of Fantasia before, a special elixir that was capable of transforming the drinker, although it was limited to just changing them into a different humanoid race, as well as changing their gender too, if they so wished. He once knew a Roegadyn who originally was a Lalafell, and it took him a while to get used to not looking down at what was once a small, almost child-like figure after their transformation. At least he'd never forget what the guy's feet looked like!

"I dunno... doesn't that seem just a little bit drastic? Besides which, I don't think it changes someone's personality!"

"Oh, my Fantasia mixes are on the special side - I wouldn't call them authentic, but there's more options for possible transformations as well!" She proudly proclaimed.

"Well..." Hadou looked back at L'luna, her face still set to pout mode. "I guess it wouldn't hurt, right?"

"Of course, it's all good!" She chirped, pouring out a tankard of mead whilst grabbing a vial of her Fantasia from under the counter, pouring it into the drink, making it bubble up. "I picked out a nice one just for her, I'm sure she'll be singing a different tune once it kicks in!"

"Don't you usually have to wait a few hours for that?" Hadou asked.

"Not with my special mix~" She told him. "Just give it a few minutes, and you'll see the results for yourself!"

"Thank you, miss..." He started, reaching for his gil bag.

"Shade. And don't worry, it's on the house~" She smiled warmly. "Do you want a drink as well, albeit something normal?"

"I'll take some lemonade if you have any, and thank you kindly!"

"Always happy to help, dear~" Shade slipped her robes back on as Hadou took the drinks back to his table.

"Finally, I thought you were gonna spend all day talking to the barkeep!" L'luna spoke harshly.

"Sorry about that, they were having an issue with the barrels." He handed L'luna her drink.

"It does seem typical that you'd bring me to the one bar which is having drink issues..." She muttered, taking her drink from him.

"I'm sure the wait will be worth it, though! At least, I hope..." He added the last part under his breath as he saw L'luna wasted no time in taking a big swig of it.

"Mmm... well this is quality mead at the very least, so they're doing something right!" She nearly broke a smile there, feeling a warm tingle from the drink. "I might almost be tempted to ask you to get me another one when I'm finished with this!"

Hadou nodded, sitting down with his own drink. He kept an eye on her, waiting to see if anything would happen, but nothing appeared to do so. "Did she use the slow-acting one instead?" He thought quietly.

"Hells, if they're not careful, I might end up drinking them out of all their mead!" She drank some more of the drink, not noticing that the skin on her hands was slowly flaking away, revealing deep brown scales going up towards her wrists, her nails growing longer, curving, shifting into sharp claws.

"Hrm?" Hadou spotted L'luna's changing hands, not saying anything about it, nor did he say anything about the bright, yellow feathers that were sprouting from her arms. They spread upwards, her arms gaining some considerable muscle. "Well this is getting interesting..." He mumbled under his breath.

"What was that?" She asked through another gulp of mead.

"Oh, nothing!" He responded, more feathers growing underneath her dancer gear, beginning to slowly put some strain against the fabric. Her dark skin continued to vanish under the sprouting plumage, and yet this still wasn't getting any reaction from her. "Just what did Shade put in her drink?" He silently mused. "I know she said her Fantasia mixes were special, but what exactly is it making her into?"

"Damn, this is some good stuff!" She very literally chirped, almost having fully drained the tankard of its contents. Her form gained some slight weight, her muscles developing, giving her a more toned chest, yet at the same time, her stomach swelled outwards, gaining a small amount of pudge which didn't take too much away from her muscles, yet at the same time, it caused her clothing to strain more, something that really wasn't helped by the fact that her breasts were receding into her chest, her pectoral muscles growing larger to compensate, giving her a powerful-looking upper body.

"This is nuts..." He could hear the fabric starting to rip and tear, feathers showing through her tortured clothing. A fan of vibrant yellow feathers erupted out from the base of her spine, punching a giant hole in her skirt. Her legs broadened, losing their curves in favour of muscle, strong enough to keep her moving fast despite her now larger frame. Before he could say much else, his attention was swiftly drawn to a sudden bulge that was showing up in the front of her clothing.

"Mmm, all gone!" Her voice sounded deeper, more masculine upon finishing her drink. What was left of her skirt kept on bulging forwards, soon splitting open to reveal a large, prehensile avian phallus, the tip of which was a sleek point, a slit around the base of it that would house it when in an unaroused state, as well as keeping his equally large balls encased. His excitement was far from sexual, but it didn't seem to want to go down any time soon.

"Thal's balls..." Hadou's jaw literally dropped at the sight of L'luna's new equipment - this was far from what he had in mind when he agreed to let Shade spike her drink with that special Fantasia.

"Hrm, what is it?" L'luna asked, the feathers stopping short at his knees, transitioning into the same scaly flesh that covered his lower arms, his feet twitching and stretching, reconfiguring themselves. The toes merged together into twoo giant digits, a third growing out from his heels, each of them tipped with long, sharp talons, clicking against the floor.

"Er, nothing!" He yelped. "Are you feeling alright, L'luna?" He inquired, L'luna's back bulging outwards, a pair of great, feathery wings breaking free, spreading wide behind him. Whether or not these wings would actually be useable or if they were just for show remained to be seen.

"Why wouldn't I be? We're at a party, aren't we?" He responded, taking Hadou further by surprise - it seems L'luna's attitude and demeanour got an adjustment as well. The feathers worked up his head, his silvery-white hair receding into his head, alongside the rabbit-like ears, shrinking away into nothing more than holes on the sides of his head. "I think the atmosphere's really helped loosen me up!"

"Right, right... among other things..." Hadou watched his friend's face push forwards, his teeth fusing together into a pair of curved, solid masses, pushing out past his lips and forming into a broad, rounded beak, his nose sinking into the top of his new bill, merging with it. The changes ended with his eyes moving towards the sides of his head, turning a vibrant blue.

"Hey, no need to be so quiet around me, it's unlike you!" He leaned forwards, wrapping an arm around Hadou's back, pulling him in for a hug.

"Right, right... I do think I'd take a look at yourself in the mirror, though!" He intoned - given how drastic the changes were, he felt like he should be honest about what happened. Better for L'luna to realise now instead of having a massive freakout in the morning upon waking up from his hangover.

"A mirror? Why would I wanna do that?" He chuckled. Hadou sighed and pulled out one of his older grimoires, one with an especially reflective cover, and held it up to L'luna's face.

"WOAH..." He blinked. "Look at the cute birdie~" He chuckled.

Hadou just blinked again, silently mouthing "REALLY?". "You're not freaking out? You're a chocobo! Well... some kind of humanoid chocobo - I guess if rabbit-like beings can exist on the moon, then nothing's out of the ordinary!"

"The people who drink my special Fantasia do tend to take it remarkably well." Shade spoke up, approaching the duo. "I guess that's because it usually tends to be an upgrade to what they were before. You should have seen one of my previous patrons, they both wanted something that would make them 'go wild', so I slipped in a Fantasia that turned them into a pair of behemoths!"

"And they didn't wreck the bar in the process?" Hadou asked incredulously.

"Well, they might have wrecked the Mahjong table, but nope - they were both fully sentient. I might be in the game of turning people into animals, but it's very rare that I'll take the spark of humanity away from them!" She responded, sounding rather proud of that face.

"The spark of humanity?"

"You know, the whole 'what separates man from the animals' thing!"

"I get it... but still, are you sure L'luna will be ok with this?"

"Given he didn't freak out when you showed him his face..." She looked at the new chocobo admiring himself. "... I think it's safe to say he's taking it well. Though it might help if he removes what's left of that dress."

"And what about..." Hadou motioned to the bird's prominent erection.

"Oh, I can take care of that personally~" She grinned. "It's up to you if you want to watch or I just take him somewhere private!"

"I think it's for the best that you take him away from prying eyes - how no-one else has taken note of this so far, I'll never know!"

"Got it! Come along, L'luna!" Shade chuckled, grabbing the chocobo's hand as she took him into the back room for some hands-on fun.

"Seven hells... this is going to make for an interesting story to tell the others..." Hadou mumbled.
