Pictures of Snow

A little story that came to me while listening to Winter, by Sliding Hammers, and looking at a piece of art made by the oh-so-talented Vonzent on Twitter. Hope you enjoy it. You can see the picture and the piece with the links below.

"Stay out there any longer, Buckley, n' you'll catch pneumonia," Asher warned as he leaned on the door frame.

"I'll be fine, Ash. Just- keep the door open. Please." Richard requested.

"N' let out all the hot air! Are you crazy?! No siree bob." Asher said sarcastically.

Richard rolled his eyes as he hurriedly made his way to the door. Nearly slipping on some ice along the way, earning a slight chuckle from the boar.

"Come on, Ash, it won't take that long. Please, do it for me." Richard pleaded.

Asher sighed. He knew he wasn't going to win as soon as Richard pulled out his sad raccoon eyes.

"You better be lucky I can't resist those eyes o' yours... Fine! Just... please don't get sick. I don't have the chef's hands to cook as good as you, hun."

Richard looked at Asher incredulously, "Who are you? Asher Woodley would never compliment my cooking." Richard said as a smile crept onto his face.

Asher looked at Richard, his nostrils flaring and his ears started to redden as he blushed at the comment.

"I do plenty o' times! Not my fault, I talk n' eat at the same time." The last bit he said under his breath, but with enough conviction to make Richard take back the statement, giving the boar a reassuring look as he put his hand up to his cheek."I know, I know."

"Did you know that I love you?" Asher asked as he pulled Richard into his arms, causing the raccoon to let out a small yelp.

"You only say it about every nine seconds," Richard said as he crossed his arms and began to walk off.

"Do you want me to stop? I can say it every 10 seconds if you want." Asher offered, his ears flattening slightly as he saw the raccoon leave the door.

"No, I just think you could say it more often," Richard reassured, as he stuck out his tongue at the boar.

"Come 'ere you!" Asher shouted as he hoisted the raccoon up into the air, with little resistance, twirling around the field as he had the raccoon by his waste.

Richard, shocked at how easily he was lifted off the ground, retaliated with a swift kiss to Asher's snout.

This caused Asher to stop dead in his tracks and look at the raccoon in the eye and say, "I love you, Buckley."I love you too, Ash. Now, let me down. I have some pictures to take."

As Asher was about to let Richard down, he couldn't stop the urge of throwing him into the big pile of snow that Richard made him shovel out of the driveway.

"Okay, oops!" Asher said as he tossed the raccoon into the gigantic pile of snow in front of him.

"Oh, you're gonna pay for that when I get back. Unless you wanna come with me," Richard said practically singing to Asher. "It would make the process a whole lot easier."

"Nah, this boar ain't equipped for the cold. Have fun, Buckley. Please be safe."

"Oh, you worry too much, BUT, I'll be as safe as I can," Richard said sarcastically, as he began smirking at the boar.

"That doesn't help me be less worried about you," Asher said as he looked at Richard with the most serious look that he could muster. "You know what, I'll go with you, just this once."

"Great! I already packed you a thermos and some hand warmers."

The boar gave Richard a dumbstruck look. "If I ain't know any better, I'd say that you already knew that I would come with you."

"Can you blame me? Where would I be without my bacon strip by my side?"

"Say bacon strip again n' I'll change my mind quicker than you can down a pint of Oreo Cheesecake ice cream." Asher teased."Deal. Now, let's go already." The raccoon said as he pulled the boar by his arms.

"Oh! Wait! Let me get the camera. I want to capture this moment. I'll call it... "A Boar In The Cold." What d'ya think?" Asher asked a giddy smile plastered all over his face.

"I think that would be wonderful, Ash."

This was just a short little cute story I wanted to do. Hope you enjoyed it!
