Unregulated - Chapter 15

The past few weeks had been a whirlwind for Lumina, and she had been struggling to keep her head on straight. A death, hospital stays, police investigation, it had all started to be a bit..much. That's not even to mention the job that demanded every bit of her attention. Everything seemed to be calming down now, though, and Lumina found herself letting out a deep breath. It felt as though a weight had been lifted from her shoulders.

The raccoon went about her nighttime routine, she grabbed a snack, brushed her teeth and hair, and she always always took her...

"EVE!" Loomy shrieked.

Eve, having never heard such a noise from her friend, shot up from her place on the couch and met her at the bathroom door, "What's wrong?"

Lumina's face showed a level of scared Eve hadn't seen before, "I ran out of pills."

"Pills?" Eve asked, following Lumina's eyes to a small package, now empty, on the bathroom counter. "Oh... those pills." Eve paused, thinking for a second, "Well, that's okay, we can get more tomorrow."

"The clinics won't fill it and my doctor's office isn't open on the weekends." Lumina spoke softly.

Another long pause from the blue cat, "Well, a few days without it can't be that big of a deal can it?"

"I don't know." Lumina took a deep breath, bringing her gaze back up to meet Eve's, "I've never missed a dose."

"You're kidding right? How can you even suggest such a thing!??!" Helena, Lumina's mother, shouted, causing a picture on the clinic's wall to wobble.

"Ma'am, please relax, there's no reason to raise your voice." The doctor took a deep breath, glancing towards the young raccoon seated across from him, "Chemically Expressed Estrus is a complex and very rare condition. It only affects an estimated 0.5-1% of the population to some degree. I would like to explain it to you fully, before we discuss options, if that's okay?"

Lumina's mom's eyes lit up, "There's options?"

"First, it's important for you to understand what this all entails. This condition causes several effects both physical and psychological. For most, it will result in heightened libido, mood swings, and unusually high social attachment."

"What's a libido?" Lumina asked, her voice too soft for anyone to hear.

"Heightened libido?! She's only thirteen!!"

The doctor continued, ignoring the mother's outburst, "As of now, there are two main methods of treatment that can be prescribed. Both have pros and cons..." He glanced between the two women in front of him, landing his gaze back on Lumina as he continued, "You'll have to determine which will work best for you."

Lumina offered a small nod in response.

"Option one, is a daily pill" He made a quick glance towards Helena, "Much like birth control, and with similar side effects, it's the most effective option. As long as you can responsibly take it every day, most people find that the condition is unnoticeable."

"I don't know if we can count on not missing doses." Helena spoke, thinking to herself.

"Mom, I can do it," The young raccoon's face was flushed red as she tugged at her mom's arm.

Helena met her child's grasp with a hand of her own before asking, "And option two?"

"...Is an injection, but requires a monthly appointment."

"Isn't there a way we can do that at home?"

"Unfortunately, no, we're still waiting for self-administration to be approved. As for this option, there's no concern about missing daily doses, but there is a drawback. It appears less effective at controlling all of the symptoms." The doctor took a breath before speaking again, "Both methods have been proven safe and effective to carry out daily living."

"What happens if she misses a pill or an injection?"

"Generally, missing a single dose of the oral medication isn't dangerous, but the longer you go without it, the longer it takes to become effective again. As for the injection, you have about a week's worth of wiggle room and these are typically given priority. If something is missed, we'll find time to squeeze you in before that window closes."

The two women looked at each other, as if trying to read each other's minds.

"I know that this seems like a lot, but I would really like to have an answer before you leave today. The sooner we start treatment, the better." He gave them a few more moments before adding, "I can leave the room if you would like some privacy."

Helena shook her head and her gaze rose back towards the doctor, "I think we're going to try the pills."

As her mom spoke, Lumina offered a small nod in agreement.

"Wonderful. We can start the treatment today, but I do have one last bit of unfortunate news."

"And what's that?" Helena asked, her frustration peaking through.

"It will take about a week for the pill to become fully effective, so, to avoid any other...incidents... she should stay home."

Lumina's face reddened once more and she pushed her face behind her mother's arm.

"There is something good attached to that, though." The doctor added playfully, "It means I'm also prescribing a week's worth of ice cream and all of your favorite movies."

Helela let out a small laugh, lifting her arm to look at her daughter, "That doesn't sound too bad now does it?"

"I've had worse medicine..." Lumina looked up, seeing the worry splayed across her mother's face, "I'll share with you."

"Do you two have any other questions for me?" the doctor asked, standing up from his stool in the center of the room. Once he received two inaudible 'no's', he took a few steps towards the door, "I'm going to get the prescription written up, and I'll send it in with the nurse along with some paperwork. I'd like to see her back in a few months to make sure everything's going alright. Okay?"

Helena stood, with Lumina following behind, "Okay, I can schedule that at checkout, right?"

"Yes, they'll take care of it with you." The doctor leaned over, trying to make eye contact with Lumina, "I know this seems scary, but I promise that you'll feel better once you start the medicine, okay? Hang in there, I know you're tough."

Present Day

The two friends sat quietly in Lumina's room, having finally managed to peel themselves away from the bathroom. The silence was heavy, as they both seemed deep in thought.

Eve opened her mouth as if to talk, but quickly shut it, only to open it again moments later, "Loomy, I... I don't know what's going on here... you've told me about the pills before, but I never got the whole story... It felt wrong to ask...but that's what I'm doing now, I'm asking. I can't help you if I don't know."

Lumina took a long breath in, preparing herself to speak. But, after she had pulled in all of the air her lungs could hold she held it in instead of speaking. As if that could stop this from happening. Once she couldn't hold onto it any longer, she finally spoke, "When we were in middle school, do you remember me being out of school for a week?"

"Yeah, you had pneumonia, right?"

"That's what we told everyone, but that's not what really happened. I'm honestly surprised that we managed to keep it a secret."

"Keep what a secret?" Eve was trying to remain supportive, but her own curiosity and frustration was starting to show.

"I was caught.. With a boy..at school."

Eve let out a sigh mixed with a light laugh, "We were all caught fooling around, Loomy, that's not something to be embarrassed about..."

"No, it wasn't that...we were doing much more than just making out and 'exploring'" She made small air quotes with her fingers as she spoke, "I mean, that was my impression of what most people were doing. We were like..more...Eve...and that's not even what got me in trouble."

"Oh..when you were.. Oh Loomy..." Eve placed a hand on her friends, giving it a small squeeze, "You don't have to tell me."

Lumina looked up, meeting the gaze of Eve, "No, you should know...I should've told you a long time ago, but I was really embarrassed. When we were...caught.. And told to stop...I lost it, Eve. I don't even know what came over me, but I couldn't control my emotions. I was screaming and throwing things, I mean, I almost bit Principal Evans. All because they wanted us to stop...Anyways, they called my mom and basically said I had to get medically cleared before I could return, for the safety of everyone."

"I don't understand..."

"If I don't take those pills, my 'sexual desires' will literally rule my life. That's why I've always been a little...out there, and that's with the pills."

Eve kept her questions at bay, not sure how to keep Lumina the most comfortable. Ask too many questions and it's pestering, too little and you aren't paying enough attention, "So what can we do? Call the doctor? Urgent care visit? Hospital?"

Loomy responded with a sigh and a shake of her head, "These are not the kind of meds that I can get filled anywhere. They're the kind of meds that I have to see my doc every 3 months or I can't get them." Another exhale from the Raccoon and she continued, "And it's 10 pm on a Friday.. My doctor isn't going to be in the office until Monday."

"Okay, well, we can have a girls weekend in. Invite Kris over..."

"NO!" Lumina's voice echoed through the apartment, "I'm sorry, I just really don't want anyone else to know what's going on."

"That's okay, just us then...movies, take-out, whatever you want..just inside."

"I dunno, I feel like I might be better off just locking myself in my room."

"Oh, come on Loomy, you know that is not good for anyone, no matter what the situation is." Eve half-rolled her eyes before looking back at Lumina again, "Plus, we've been needing a girl's night and this is the perfect opportunity. I was off work this weekend anyway!"

"Fine...but you're picking up the pizza" Lumina muttered, mildly unwilling. Something about a forced girls night didn't sound so enticing. It was one thing to make the time for one another and choose it, it was another to be forced. Loomy wanted to spend the time with her bestie, of course, but there was much to be desired in this particular scenario.

Lumina's thoughts carried on, spiraling down a dark road of uncertainty. What's going to happen? What about work on Monday? What if Eve doesn't like unregulated Loomy? What if it never gets better? What if the meds don't work anymore...?

"Hey." Eve interrupted, placing a soft hand on her shoulder, "It's going to be okay, I've got you. You helped me last week, now it's time for me to return the favor."

Loomy offered a small smile, comforted by her friend's words, if only slightly.

"And, you must be dreaming if you want me to go pick up the pizza. Delivery is superior."

"But you said, take-out." She grinned, nudging at the feline, "It's such a waste of money!"

"Did I?" Eve smirked, "I must've mis-spoke."

"Hey, come over here!" The animated film rang through the house, the surround sound causing the walls to vibrate.

The little Loomy sat on the couch, her face covered in remnants of chocolate ice cream. The floor was littered with pieces of popcorn and chips, all covered in a layer of cheese-ball dust.

"Mom?"

"Hmm?" Helena looked over to her daughter, a small smile emerging at the sight of the mess. She was glad that they found a way to make this time as fun as possible.

It had been three days with no side effects to the hormone balance medicine. A relief to both Helena and her husband.

"Do I have to go back to school next week?" The small voice rang once more.

"Unfortunately, yes, and mommy needs to go back to work." Helena sighed, grabbing a napkin to clean up her daughter's face.

"Can't we just skip?" a frown came about on the child's face.

Helena's sigh this time was a defeated one, she also wanted the chance to spend some more time together. Their busy lives didn't allow much time for movie nights and ice cream, and it was certainly a point of guilt for her. "I'm sorry, honey, we can't, as much as I wish we could hang out forever, you need your education."

Present day

The same animated film filled the room, the nostalgia running wild as Lumina sat on the couch. They had successfully made it through the first day without the medicine and it was now well into Saturday night.

Loomy felt a considerable...heat... within her building and wasn't quite sure where it was going to take her. It wasn't long before the credits began to scroll across the screen, a soft song playing as the names scrolled past.

Eve sat up, spreading her arms out and arched her back in a stretch. "Alright, what next? Facials? Pedicures? Make-up? Pillow fights?"

The words 'pillow' and 'fight' particularly stood out in Lumina's mind, causing images of the affair to flash through her mind. Lumina felt something stir inside her, and a mischievous thought followed- something that she hadn't ever considered before, "You know what? I've got a better idea."

"And what's that?" In Eve's mind, the question was innocent, but to Loomy, it was anything but.

"Well, you and I have both had some sexual adventures... what do you say we have one with just us?" As Lumina spoke, she inched herself closer...and closer...and closer only stopping inches in front of Eve's face.

Eve's breath grew heavy and fast, the idea making her blush at the very thought of it all. Her heartbeat grew to a level that anyone around could've heard it. The temptation was almost too much for her.

Almost.

As Loomy moved to close the final gap between them, Eve put a hand up to stop her, "I don't know if this is the best idea...given your state, I don't want to take advantage of you, or for this to be something you regret."

Lumina was taken aback, not used to rejection, "Oh..uh.. You're right." She took a deep breath, trying to sort out her own feelings, "I think I need to cool off." She offered a small, reassuring smile, trying to comfort them both. "I'm going to grab a shower really fast, okay?"

"Loomy..." Eve's tone was apologetic, but it wasn't something Lumina was ready to hear.

***

Monday came faster than Lumina or Eve would've hoped and it was just before the Raccoon was going to step outside.

"I didn't think you were going to work today." Eve said, rubbing away the sleep in her eyes.

The two girls hadn't spoken much since the 'incident' two nights ago, and the tension hadn't let up. Eve wanted to do anything she could to help Lumina, but Lumina was too embarrassed to come outside of her own room. Instead, she kept to herself, not wanting to add to any strain she may have already caused between them.

"I know...but with..." Lumina thought through her words, realizing, now, that she hadn't told Eve about her 'deal' with Luther, "There's just a lot going on at work, and I don't want to get looked over." She felt a twinge of guilt as she took the final steps outside, shutting the door on her bestie. I just haven't had the time to tell her... but I will. She repeated the thought over and over, trying to convince herself that it was true.

Usually, Lumina used her drive to work as an opportunity to clear her mind. The time that she would think through what she needed to do and what she wanted to accomplish. Today, however, she had a fog lingering over top of her.

About 15 minutes into her workday, Lumina made a short 'bathroom break' to call her doctor. After she got everything sorted, she went to head back to her cubicle. Instead, however, she noticed a certain skeezy wolf walking into the men's restroom down the hall.

The idea hadn't fully formed inside Lumina's head before she found herself pushing through the doorway after him. He had already begun to zip himself up as she walked in, and they made eye contact almost instantly.

"Are you lost?" Luther asked with a cackle-like laugh.

The water from the sink began to run, and Lumina spoke with a certain.. confidence about her, "No, I know exactly where I want to be." Her eyes scanned over him, carefully watching as he wiped his wet hands against his pants. Lumina's complete disdain for the man was tossed aside, she could only think of one thing. She reached back towards the door, turning the lock with an audible 'clunk.'

"Is that so?" His own voice grew thick, his eyebrow raising in curiosity.

Lumina nodded, and took a step forward, somehow managing to slip her underwear down past her ankles and onto the floor. All the while, not missing a single step. The two were soon muzzle to muzzle and Lumina's eyes were firmly planted on her newly found prey. She placed a hand against his chest, staring into his eyes while a fire burned in her own. Luther took the moment as a green light and moved to close the remaining distance between them. Loomy, however, had other plans. She used the hand against his chest and moved it up to his neck, gripping tightly around it as she pushed him backwards. He soon found himself against a cold bathroom wall and the breath knocked out of him.

It was pretty clear that, while unexpected, her actions weren't unappreciated. Luther's pants grew tight around his groin and it wasn't long before his bulge was firmly in Lumina's free hand. A soft moan poured out of her boss, only encouraging her behavior further.

"Listen here... Now I understand that you may be the boss of me out there. In here, though? I'm in charge. You got that?"

Her question was met with a nod, but that wasn't quite what she was looking for.

"I'm sorry, I didn't hear you." her grasp tightened around Luther's throat, causing a small wheeze as he tried to speak again.

"Yes. I understand, boss."

"Master." She snarled, her teeth gritted tightly, "you're to call me master."

"Yes, master."

Lumina smirked, the power she held alone was almost enough to satisfy her. She worked her way down his chest, not bothering with the buttons on his shirt. Instead, she ripped them off by the seam to expose his bare chest.

She moved lower, stopping every now and then to kiss at his neck, pecks, and down his stomach. She took both of her hands down to his groin, slowly unbuttoning him to reveal the treasure she sought.

A soft, "mmm" escaped her lips as she progressed further, tugging the pants and underwear away in a single motion. She was face to face with a musky treat. She licked her lips, attempting to contain her own excitement.

She started by licking his tip, sucking gently against it before moving to lick up and down his shaft. After a few moments of this, she moved to place her lips around his length slowly inching forward. He filled her mouth as she moved her tongue along, throating him easily. One of her hands found their way to his balls, squeezing them gently as she rocked back and forth.

A loud moan escaped from him, and it was met with a smack against the side of his ass, "Quiet down, you, the whole office doesn't need to hear!" She said, pulling herself off from around his member.

"Y-yes master," he whimpered, struggling to contain his pleasure.

She went back to work, making a mess of his groin before even the real fun had begun.

After a while, she pulled away, coming back to stand eye to eye. She quickly rotated them around, taking the spot against the wall. She wiggled her dress up to make room for her leg as it wrapped around Luther's waist. One hand went to his shoulder for balance, and the other reached down to line his member up with her entrance.

She could feel herself drip in anticipation and looked over to him with a nod, offering permission. He pushed forward, slipping inside her slowly. Lumina's head fell back in momentary pleasure. She would be filled with regret later, but for now, it was pure bliss.

His hand found its way underneath her ass, supporting her as she lifted her other leg up and around him. The leverage allowed for her to take him in even deeper than before. The thrusts continued, creating more moans and noises out of the both of them.

Lumina moved one of her hands down to her clit, rubbing gently at that special spot, only enhancing the experience for her. It wasn't long before the pair could feel themselves peaking, and only a few more thrusts before Luther... burst.

With a final source of energy, the wolf pushed himself deep inside one final time. His knot swelled inside her and they both felt wave after wave of cum fill her up. As they felt their climaxes subside, they drew in a few deep breaths. Lumina could feel impatience growing within her, having forgotten the annoyance (and pleasure) that came with a knotted dick. Eventually, the canine's cock softened enough for him to pull out, and they parted.

Her feet landed back onto the ground before the warm liquid managed to pour out around the two of them. While Lumina managed to keep her clothes clear, it did land on Luther's black dress pants, causing a small stain.

"Well then." Lumina said, steadying herself back on her feet, "Looks like you have some cleaning up to do."

***

The work day was light, and Lumina had accomplished more than she would've expected on a normal day. It turns out that getting your needs met really clears your mind.

Once she was home, and medicine was firmly in hand, she made for the bathroom to take her first dose.

"Hey." Eve said, opening the door to find a Lumina in front of her.

"Hi." Lumina responded, holding up the pharmacy bag for Eve to see, "I got my meds."

"That's good." Eve ducked around Lumina, rubbing at the back of her neck, trying to cope with the awkward conversation. " Hey, Loomy?" She asked, spinning back around.

"Yeah?"

"Can we talk?"

Lumina nodded, "Let me set this down?"

"Okay." Eve made her way back into the living room, trying to find a comfortable spot to have an uncomfortable conversation.

Lumina joined her a few minutes later, finding her own seat close to Eve.

"So.." Eve started, having trouble finding the right words.

"Look, Eve, we don't need to talk about this...I'm okay, it was wrong for me..."

"Please let me say this." Eve interrupted, unsure if she would remain brave enough if Lumina had continued. "I said no to you the other night, not because I didn't want to...but because I did."

Lumina's brow furrowed, unsure of what her friends' words were supposed to mean.

"You've been the one constant in my entire life, Lumina, and that means more to me than anything else, but I'm not going to lie and say that I've never had romantic feelings towards you."

"Oh, Eve.."

"Let me finish..." The blue cat drew in a deep breath before continuing, "I've never said anything because you've never really shown an interest and I didn't want to make things weird." She paused, gathering her thoughts to avoid rambling, "I couldn't let things go on without you knowing the truth, especially with the other night." Eve finished speaking, looking down into her lap as she waited for Lumina to respond.

"Eve, I..." She started, "I don't know what to say."

"It's okay."

"No, I, you're right... I'd never considered us in a romantic way, and I don't think I did the other night either. I was looking for an outlet... Look, we've always had fun together and I'm not uncomfortable with your body by any means, cause like, goddamn you're hot." It was Lumina's turn for a breath, "I just don't know if I see myself romantically with a girl, not in the long term."

The room was silent for some time before Eve found her words again, "I think I knew that.. And I honestly don't know if my feelings for you are pure in nature. Not to compare you to Eric, but it could be because you're what's available. And to top it off, you know me, you're an amazing person, and we've had.. As you said, fun before. It was just easy to see you that way."

"That makes sense, but I don't want you to just say that because you don't want things to be weird."

"I mean, I DON'T want things to be weird." Eve laughed, breaking some of the tension in the room, "And I didn't tell you because I expected some big, romantic, scene where we end up together. I just... needed you to know. And I wanted to tell you that I made an appointment to see a therapist in a few weeks. To...uh.. Deal with it all, and some of my other stuff too."

"I'm proud of you."

"Me too."
