Nighthowler 2, Ep. 6
#6 of CYOA: Nighthowler 2
The sixth episode of our Zootopia themed community CYOA see Nighthowler, Judy Hopp's vigilante alter-ego, facing off against a huge snake deep in the Rainforest District's jungles. I'm sure she'll be fine, rabbits and snakes get along great together - right?
Something is there in the jungle and it's getting _closer._Nighthowler's fur prickles, her heart pounds, and her throat becomes tight. Instinct tries to pull her back but curiosity keeps her firmly rooted to the spot. This is no time to get get scared, not before she even knew what's approaching her! Training her torch on the shifting vegetation, Nighthowler tracks the disturbance with the beam. Damp ferns rustle in the undergrowth only meters away now, slowly being pushed aside as she finally catches a glimpse of her stalker.
"Wow," Nighthowler gasps under her breath, "What are you?" She's never seen anything like it. Rich cerulean blue scales, gleaming like polished stone under the light of her torch. The snake was big. Two meters? Three? It slithers slowly and confidently, clearly unafraid - but not aggressive either. It doesn't give chase, even as she takes several wary steps backwards, keeping a safe distance. Curling into a bundle of blue, the snake watches her from afar with beautiful purple eyes. So bright and vivid.
The moment Nighthowler meets its gaze, she finds herself almost unable to look away.
The more she stares, the more she sees. Sharp purple gives way to scarlet red, warm orange, and bright yellow in mesmerising patterns and waves. Are the eyes actually changing colours, or is it some kind of optical illusion? A trick of the light? Nighthowler's fear begins to fade. Running is the last thing on her mind. Yellow turns to lime, to emerald green and deep blue. If she keeps staring, will the kaleidoscope of colours keep changing?
But there's something else. A feeling, a thought, lingering in her mind that wasn't there moments ago...
[1] Is it hot in here? Nighthowler's skin prickles uncomfortably beneath her fur, feeling so trapped by the tight confines of her leather catsuit. Her outfit is so stifling! Maybe letting her body breathe would be a good idea? Exposing herself to the cool jungle mist is bound to feel great against her fur. Almost absent-mindedly, the panting bunny reaches for her zipper and draws it down, taking off her leather catsuit. She doesn't need clothes. Better to toss them into the jungle, right? Into the dark where she won't have to worry about them ever again. With no underwear beneath, Nighthowler will be left entirely nude , save for her utility belt.
[2] Maybe if she wasn't carrying that heavy utility belt, Nighthowler wouldn't feel so tired. Cuffs, condoms, tricks, toys; she doesn't really need any of it. There's nothing to fear. Nobody is going to hurt her. Nothing bad could happen. She finds her fingers drawn downwards, unclipping her utility belt. A real hero wouldn't need to rely on anything but herself! Without fully thinking things through, Nighthowler hurls her utility belt into the darkness of the jungle. It vanishes into the thick tangle of undergrowth. Finding it again would be impossible - leaving Nighthowler with nothing but her torch.
[3] So weak. So tired. Nighthowler's legs begin to wobble, threatening to fall out from beneath her. Maybe she ought to rest a little? Kneel? She sinks down like a good little bunny, getting to her hands and knees. Yes. Judy Hopps is a good and obedient little bunny, here to serve. She doesn't need any_willpower._ No, just keep staring into the snake's eyes as it begins to slither towards her...
Looks like people really wanted the hypnosnake~ The votes were pretty close on the kind of snake though, with a feral and animalistic nature just about winning out. Just in case people aren't aware, you can vote for multiple options, just not the same option multiple times, and don't vote for everything or you'll be statistically insignificant!
Also, just a bit of forewarning for this vote, [3] will be a repeated option for the next post if [1] or [2] are picked. So if you want to cruelly rob Nighthowler of her precious gear AND see some hot snakey action, that'll be on the cards.
