Redwind

I was floating, just floating in midair. Nothing, no sound no anything. I felt an imbalance, a pushing, a throbbing, and pain. Then I saw a girl, she was a very pretty girl. About my age which is 15. She had beautiful brown smooth hair that reflected even in the dark. I reached out to touch her, but she felt so far away. Her body was radiating a white light and she looked at me and started to cry. The warm tears moving down her cheeks, sticking to her body like glue. She smiled though, I can't understand why. I did not know why I was here, why I was floating in such a mysterious place. Then she stopped crying and smiling and started walking in the opposite direction. She mumbled something and put her hand into the air. I felt still like ice and looked down at my arms and legs realizing that their golden lines through them. I was stuck. I could not call out to her, to tell her to stop moving and tell me where I am. I tried to shout but nothing. My mouth would not obey me. Then I heard something and I started to fall. I could feel the wind beneath my feet and my hair started to flow in the breeze. I hit the ground with a sickening crash. I heard a voice saying Kyle, Kyle, I need you, I want you. I want to rip you and tear you. What sucks is my name is Kyle, Kyle Orans.

I woke up sweating; the water was running down my face trying to escape from my body. I felt weak, and tired even though I slept. I got up off the bed stretching and realized that I did not really fall onto the ground. My mind was racing; I never had that kind of dream before. This time there was someone, usually it's just me. My heart was beating fast. I looked at the clock and it was 10:00am. I sighed and thought that my life was over for a second. I heard a voice; it was my adopted mother saying, "Breakfast is ready." I looked around my room and on my dresser I got my cell phone and the card my dad gave me on the day he died and the ring mom gave me before she died. My dad told me to never lose this card when I was 5 and to always keep it in my possession. He said it was one of his favorite baseball cards, but the strange thing was that the baseball card had nothing written on it, no name or anything. It just had a picture and a strange bar code on the back. My dad said it was just an illusion, that the name was written over the bar code but the person who bought it was the only one who could see it. When he moved the card in his hand it went back to the man's name. It was Bobby Orans, my dad. It was strange standing though in his office that he worked in. It was white with a black chair and a computer that always was on. My dad says I could never see what he was working on and that it was something I would not understand. It was the last day I would ever see him. His black hair and green eyes were always sagging which meant he was in his office working. His t shirt was sometimes sweaty and ripped and I did not know why. My mom was a more sympathetic one and always was around me thinking I was going to drop dead at any second. She had brown hair and green eyes like her husband. Her name was Noel. She loved her tank tops and loved baggy pants. My mom was great from what I could remember but still she was a little bit clingy. She looked at me and smiled and said, "This ring has been passed down from generation to generation and now it's yours." I smiled and said thanks. My mind coming back into the past, I realized that my room was trashed. There were clothes everywhere like someone was looking for someone. My xbox controllers were thrown everywhere and I remember my room being clean before. I also realized that some of the paint on the wall was chipped and the fan on the ceiling was off when I had it on last night. The paint I know though was old and worn out just like the house I was in. It may have been a mansion but I know it's old. The house I was living in belonged to a family called the Masons and they are all snobs who think they are better than anyone else. Their house though is an old but historical house. It is in the oldest part of New Found Springs and it is being held up by pillars in the front. There is a pool in the back yard surrounded by a fence. I dreamed of running away from this prison but I know I would have died. I have a "sister" who always tattles on me when I am threatening to run away. She is just as spoiled as the rest of them. I always will feel a hatred building inside of me. After my parents died I was a know one, has-been, alone. Then a guy found me on a straight looking for stuff in a garbage can. His name was Hazama which was awesome that he found me. I felt at home at the orphanage, playing games like kickball and sometimes climbing one the jungle gym. Then the Masons came and took it all away. I cleaned up my room alittle before running downstairs to see what was going on. My brown wavy hair flowing, as I trotted down the steps holding onto the brown wooden railing. I could feel a light breeze because one of the windows was open. My "moms" name is Michelle which kind of gets annoying to say when I get in to trouble. Michelle passes me pancakes and in a very weird tone says, "Eat." Like I was a dog or something. Her blond hair brushes my nose as she turns and her hazel eyes forcing into making the next batch. My "dad" Mike is reading the newspaper. His gray eyes on an article probably about sports considering he needs to get a hobby otherwise. He is a coach for the New Spring Jaggers. A weird name but he likes it. And then there is my sister, Melley, she is a spoiled brat with blond hair and hazel eyes like her father. She was eating pancakes like crazy. I think the worm she ate when she was little started to condemn her stomach to totally hunger pain. I snickered as she stuffed her face full as the wooden table started to groan in displease as the bread hit the table. Michelle was working at the fridge looking for more food for her "darling" while I was eating the pancake that was on my plate. Mike was shouting about how his team got in first place again. Then I talked and said, "Mom, can I please go out on a walk, it is such a nice day outside and I would like to enjoy it." My mom's lip turned into a smile and she almost burst with joy hearing the news that I was leaving for a while. She said," Good, now we can have some peace and quiet." My sister grinned at this as the syrup dripped down her mouth. Mike did not care though; he just kept reading the newspaper to find out more on his perfect team. Finally having enough, I walked out the door, the doormat said welcome but I think of it more as saying hell. Stepping outside, the breeze hit my face and it felt warm in fresh as the beamed on me. I smiled. I love the outside it is the only place where I feel in tuned with the world around me. My neighbors also seemed to be enjoying the crisp weather as they were all gardening and mowing. Finally I was away from the three ms of disaster. The smell of mowed grass reached my nose. The roses by our porch are letting off a distinctive smell. The glider on the porch was swinging back and forth making groans and moans trying to fight the movements. I turned my iPod on and the screen lit up. My song of choice was Under Heavens Destruction from the BlazBlue soundtrack. I felt the ear buds pelting my brain with all sorts of notes and guitar rhythms. While I was walking on the sidewalk, admiring all the beautiful trees and the leaves rushing in the breeze a van pulled up on the sidewalk. It was completely white with a few scratches on the side. One of the headlights was knocked out which gave it a creepy feeling. A man walked out, he had black hair and a scar that went down his left eye. He was wearing a tux and khaki pants. He opened up his tux and inside was a gun. Shit I thought, all that I wanted was to enjoy a nice walk. The gun shimmered in the sky as the sun hit the metal deathtrap. It was an m9, one of the most basic pistols and the easiest to make. It had a very small bullet that could easily penetrate my stomach. I took off my ear buds and put my iPod in my pocket. I felt the sweat drip down my cheeks as he started walking towards me with one hand is his pocket. His footsteps were echoing and I was starting to feel a hot glow on my right hand. When I looked down the letters on the ring that my mom gave me were glowing and I felt my pocket and the card my dad gave me felt very hot. The guy's hand went for the holder and he pointed the gun and shot. I was waiting for contact when I put my hand up and a barrier deflected the bullet. I don't know how this happened but I felt weak and dizzy again. I was starting to pass out. I finally felt at peace and a cold wind blew threw me. My vision started to dim and when I looked up the guy grinned and said, "The boss has a few important questions to ask you." I blanked out when I felt to hands pick me up and throw me in their vehicle.

I woke up feeling numb but alive. When I woke up I remembered everything from the barrier to the guy with the gun. I was in a room. The room was white and painted quick but good. I was lying on a bed and realized that everything was still intact. Everything was here. I checked my pocket and felt everything. Everything except the baseball card. I panicked and checked my pockets again but it still was not there. When I was checking my pockets, I also realized that the ring felt warm, almost hot. A window was by the bed, letting light pass through it. I squinted and saw a tree with birds chirping. How long was I out? I thought. Days, weeks, months? A guy came in but he was not necessarily a guy....he was a wolf. A furry blue wearing a brown coat and baggy shorts. Not one of the best pairs but it made the vicious claws stand out really well. "Hey, I want to see you." He extended a hand but I walked right by him, ignoring his yellow eyes gaze. I don't know where I was going but it was probably not good.
