Tondo stood at the door of the art studio. The rotund raichu had his latest sketchbook tucked under his arm, the posture accentuating the contrast between his upper and lower torso. This would be the first day of his properly working with Marko.

Yesterday he had been shown around the studio and even was allowed to paint for the smeargle artist. He was told to return with his sketchbook when he came over to help out today. Despite his playful, almost teasing nature, Marko seemed genuine about his reaction to the raichu's art

Then, before he had left the day before, an incident... A blush soared to his cheek circles, causing a bit of charge to fluff up his short fur. He carefully discharged his bolt on the tile behind him. Tondo wasn't clear at all on what had happened, but he couldn't stop thinking about how there appeared to have been a chamber inside the smeargle's tail-brush, and a fleshy opening leading further in...

And all of those faces painted on Marko's belly in that self portrait he claimed was to evoke ravenous hunger...

Tondo discharged his tail bolt again. He would have to ask for clarification on what indeed had happened.

Soft, heavy footsteps approached the door from the inside. It swung open inwards, revealing the preternaturally tall and round smeargle. Marko smiled down, far away enough that his body wasn't obstructing his view of the smaller 'mon. "Welcome, Tondo! Come right in. And let me just..." One of his large paws reached forward and grasped the nearest corner of the sketchbook.

The raichu raised his toned arm to allow the book to be removed. "Of course, thank you." He grasped either side of his heavy ball gut and steadied it as he walked into the studio, looking around.

Marko closed the door once the electric type's tail had cleared the threshold. "You're just in time to help me out with a small task. But first!" He tucked the sketchbook into his pouch, then dug his arm a bit deeper, half-curling on himself to delve his paw further past the lip. "I have something for you that shall help in your duties... Ah, here it is." He stood back up straight and pulled out a leather item.

It was longer than it was wide by a significant amount, with pouch pockets perpendicular to its form. Painted at the center of the middle pocket was a representation of Marko's face like on his sign outside the shop. After a moment, Tondo realized that it was waist-apron held sideways. The scale compared to Marko made little sense, but compared to the raichu himself, it looked like it would fit wonderfully.

Marko held it out for Tondo to take with a smile. "There you go."

Tondo smiled broadly, accepting it in his paws and looking it over. After a moment of figuring out the logistics of the workwear, the raichu wrapped it around his broad belly and tied the straps together just above the base of his long, whiplike tail. He smiled up at the taller male. "Oh, thank you, this fits just right!"

"You are most welcome." The smeargle turned and walked over to the storage room adjacent to the studio. "Now, that task..."

Following along, the electric type noticed that with the work apron on, it was helping hold his belly in place in a way that he habitually used his hands to do. He smiled brightly before joining the artist in the storage room. "Yes, Marko?"

"I always keep a few spare cans of my paint around in case anyone should ever need it." Marko grasped a fresh-looking paint can, holding it to show that the lid was off and it was empty. Additionally, there was no sign paint had ever been poured into it. "Or if I'm working on a big project with lots of helpers."

"I was wondering how you made paint... that didn't come up in the tour yesterday." Tondo shifted his weight to one side.

"Bring me a few more of these and I'll show you." Marko referred to the empty can and set it down on a work table around the raichu's lower chest in height.

It was easy to carry a stack of empty cans over, the electric type carefully setting them down on the high table one by one next to the first.

With a playful smirk the smeargle grasped his tail in one paw, just beneath the brush. "Perhaps you should get up on a stool to watch."

A blush returned to Tondo's cheeks and he nodded, grasping the stool from the corner of the room as he pressed his bolt to the floor with a quiet zat of discharge. He soon returned to the table, stood up on a stepstool that got it so that his belly just under the new apron pressed to the edge of the tabletop. Most importantly he could see into each of the cans now.

Marko pressed the wet, green tailtuft into the first can. Suddenly the coating that seemed just ready to drip began to pour in a continuous smooth flow, filling the can with that same green color. "When you can do this, it makes more sense to get empty cans than buy full ones from the store, don't you agree?"

"What if someone needs tube paint?" Tondo tore his eyes away from the display to look up at the taller artist.

The hefty normal type chuckled. "If it's the quantities in a tube, then no storage needed." With one can full he removed his brush and lightly tapped the bulb above the bristles against the corner of the container, before moving to the next. However, this one received a bright sunset orange, paint flowing in a completely different color from the same green bristles, with no sign of smearing or mixing. "I gave you all the colors you needed for the pallet yesterday, didn't I?"

The raichu stood up a bit straighter. He had thought it strange that he didn't see any paint tubes when Marko set up the easel for him the day before...

Soon, each of the cans on the table was filled. "Now, if you could drop a bit of paint from each can onto a lid before sealing them, then stack them with the other full cans?" Marko instructed and requested in one turn of phrase. "While you do, I'll take a look through your sketchbook." He waddled over to a seat in the corner of the room and balanced the sketchbook on top of his broad belly.

"Of course, Marko! I'll do my best!" Tondo stepped down off the stool and went to retrieve some unaffiliated fresh can lids. He was already feeling the utility of his apron, keeping his hands free while walking around. He set the lids on top of the stool then carried the stool over to where Marko had filled the cans. He got back up on top of the stepstool and set one lid in front of each can. He opened the pocket on one side of his apron and looked inside. Empty. Well, that was to be expected, he didn't feel anything when he was putting it on.

But what to use to drop the sample blots on the lids?

He looked over at Marko. The large smeargle was somewhere in the midst of the raichu's string of landscape studies from a few months prior. Tondo glanced down at the brush-tail of the artist, then back at his own bolt.

The electric type shrugged to himself and lightly dipped the tip of his tail bolt into the green can, before tapping the paint off on the lid with a movement similar to his discharging. Tondo paused. That left quite a bit of paint behind... wouldn't due to cross-contaminate the colors. The raichu thought for a couple moments more, before grasping the tip of his tail and smearing the paint off in his fur just above the apron.

With the bolt clean he could continue, adding more smears of paint to his fur coat with each lid marked. It was fine, the paint from the day before had washed out easier than he'd expected. Soon he had placed a lid on each can. He carefully thudded his fist along the outside of the lid, forcing the seal. Each can took a couple passes to keep the top from see-sawing around before he was confident they were closed.

Once that was over, he carried the cans two at a time over to the stack of full cans. He carefully found the other cans of similar colors and stowed them appropriately.

"Say Tondo...?" Marko asked from where he was still looking over the sketchbook.

Tondo perked up and walked back over to the large artist. "Yes Marko?"

"I find myself curious about this design here." He turned the sketchbook around to show the raichu the page he was on.

Unlike most of the pages of the sketchbook, this one had been gone over with colored pencils to take it beyond just grayscale and graphite. On the page was a very hefty pokémon who appeared to be a raichu, only more so. A deeper orange fur color for most of the body. Cheek circles surrounded in a lighter orange to make a double-ring effect. The dish of the ears to the fore appeared more like a pikachu's, but the lower lobe of each was even curlier than a raichu's, twisting in the opposite direction.

A ring of darker fur like those on the eartips and all four socks came together in front of the chunky mon's neck and formed a line down the center of his chest. It met with a circle of the lighter orange fur that took up most of its belly, though it too had markings. A set of three oblong shapes in the near-brown color were arranged in a swirl pattern, which took up most of the circle. Where raichu had their stripes that wrapped to the sides across their back, there were lightning bolts encroaching on the symbol in the same yellow as its cheek circles.

Last, but certainly not least, the pokémon's tail. Like a raichu's it was long and whiplike in the middle, but unlike most the base was very thick. There were bands of yellow leading up it, growing narrower and more lightning-shaped until they stopped entirely as its girth narrowed to the size accustomed by most that late in the pikachu line. From that point to the bolt was at least the length of a normal tail on top of the long, tapered base. Similarly, the bolt was longer, zig-zagging an extra time.

Tondo smiled, bouncing a bit in place. His hefty belly wobbled, but the new leather apron kept it from striking the floor on all but the most eager of hops. "I've heard rumors... legends of a lost fourth evolution to the pikachu line!" The raichu spread his arms, palm out as if he was smoothing out a banner in the air. "The Gorochu!"

Marko smiled, nodding silently as if asking the smaller 'mon to continue.

Eagerly, the raichu did so. "It's not really known how to unlock this evolution... no one's heard of a pokemon that evolves again after an elemental stone is used, right? Well... what if Raichu were more natural? And it was the Gorochu you accessed with a Thunder Stone? Or, or what if it's something else entirely! Getting struck by lightning atop a sacred mountaintop!"

Tondo cleared his throat a bit, a little embarrassed by his own enthusiasm. "And, well, I've met other amateur artistic depictions for the Gorochu. I wanted to try a hand at my own..."

"Well," The smeargle smiled, closing the sketchbook. "I think that you really showed your creative spirit with that design." He stood from the short seat and waddled back to Tondo. "Since we have the time, how about a lesson?"

The electric type gasped and grinned broadly. "Of course, Marko!"

Marko chuckled. "Don't get too excited, first is canvas prep. Important both for helping me out and working on your own painting." He led the smaller male out of the storage room and over to his easel that he'd let the raichu use the day before.

Tondo nodded. "Oh of course! You said you might have me do that." He followed along, bashfully watching the much larger pokémon's mass sway side to side with each step, able to feel the soft impacts of his feet through the tile beneath him.

The artist paused, looking over the easel and nearby worktables. "Now, where should I sit you so you can watch..." His hips took up nearly the entire station as it was, enough to block the raichu's view from many standing vantage-points. Marko perked and snapped his green pawpads. "Of course! You can view each step easily from in my pouch!"

Blushing up a storm, the electric type slapped his tail bolt to the tile with a very audible discharge. "Oh... uh... would that be alright?"

Marko slipped around the station to face Tondo directly and dug a thumb into the lip of his pouch. "Of course! Else I wouldn't offer." He pulled it open and carefully removed some of the clutter that the smaller 'mon had gotten a look at the day before. "All things considered; I think it would be the perfect viewing angle. Right in the center of the action!" He finished removing less comfortable bedfellows from the soft flap on his belly and tugged it open wider in invitation.

Tondo swallowed, walking over with his bolt practically dragging along the floor. He crouched down and attempted to swing a foot up along the side of his ball-belly to take a step in. However, he lost his balance and tumbled right on in.

The smeargle laughed affectionately and stood back upright, tail bolt dangling out of the pouch. He reached down inside and gently rotated the raichu so that Tondo could peek his head out.

When he did, the electric type blushed still, the fur around his location starting to stand on end.

"Now, all comfy?" Marko asked warmly, barely able to see the smaller mon's ears around the curve of his own belly when standing all the way up straight.

"Uh-huh..." Tondo murmured, gripping the edge of the pouch's lip with both hands. Marko had been right, this was a very comfortable viewing angle to look at the whole canvas on the easel. Even though having to look up higher just meant smooshing the back of his head into that gut he was pinned against.

"Good." Carefully, the larger 'mon grasped the edges of the canvas. "First, you have to make sure that the spread canvas is taut to the frame, no slack. Can't have any wrinkles..."

Tondo was engrossed the entire lesson, forgetting about why he'd been so flustered at all as his mind entered knowledge acquisition mode. He was surprised, even, when the lesson ended and the larger pokémon's paw reached in to help scoop him free of the pouch.

"Oh, thank you, Marko!" He smiled, hugging the wrist of the smeargle until he got his feet free and only letting go entirely when he was back standing under his own power. "I'm glad to know that now. And you made it so interesting!"

"Glad to hear that." Marko smiled in return, before his stomach let out a rather empty rumble. "Ah, sounds like we should have some lunch soon..."

Tondo blushed a bit, looking over the broad belly, then glancing over towards the studio's attached gallery. His friend Vincent's words about how he helped out with the artist, the eevee face on his tee shirt matching the eevee face painted across Marko's belly in that specific self-portrait. He cleared his throat as he discharged his tail bolt against the tiles once more. "Uh, may I ask a question?"

Raising his brows, the smeargle leaned forward a bit, enough that he could rest his hands on the top curve of his prodigious gut. "Yes, what is it?"

"About the art project that my eevee friend was involved in..." The raichu swallowed nervously. "What technique was... uh... used?"

Marko stood back up straight, smiling more broadly. "Oh of course. Happy to clear anything up for you, Tondo." He casually walked towards a cabinet door on one of the walls. "I'm sure I mentioned my great appetite yesterday. My appetite has been known to inspire my art, just as my art has stoked my appetite."

Tondo followed after, peeking around to see the taller 'mon open the cabinet, but not able to see what was inside from his vantage point.

The smeargle turned in place, looking over the raichu, his tongue peeking from the corner of his mouth like he was sizing up a still-life. He turned back to the cabinet. "Now, I wouldn't eat so many for a regular meal, mind you... Two or three at a time even seems a little indulgent for the day to day. But for that project..." He sighed, audibly licking his lips. "To be so engorged, filled with life and vitality, stretched to the limit..."

The electric type trembled, arcs coming off his tail even with the bolt pressed to the floor as a ground.

Marko turned back to Tondo, one hand still inside the cabinet. "Yes, Tondo. I eat other pokémon." He finally stopped dancing around the point itself and laid out a clear answer. "Though if I'm honest, overindulgence doesn't bother me as much as just... things getting crowded after a meal in my lounge. That's where my friendly meals reform, that is. More than three popping back into the world at once would be awkward in there!"

He returned his attention to within the cabinet. "To be honest, I don't always over-indulge for a big art project," The smeargle swayed his hips a bit, sending waves of pudge wobbling across his frame. "Sometimes I just want to show off." He winked over his shoulder

"Uh... Do you ever..." Tondo started.

"Let anyone out without a staycation on my waistline?" Marko finished for him, grinning at his own joke. "Of course I can! It's usually better for my figure not to gurgle absolutely every meal." He finally closed the cabinet, having a bundle of white cloth tucked under his arm as he turned around again. "As for the method, you caught a glimpse yesterday." As he did so, he shifted his hips, sending a wave down his long tail. With a light flick, the brush at the tip came around to point right at Tondo's face meaningfully.

The raichu swallowed, blushing. Of course. He had seen the inside of the bulb just behind the bristles. A small chamber filled with paint... with another opening leading up the length of the limb... He could just barely see the opening his head had gotten squished through from his current position.

Smiling and swaying the tip back and forth in front of the smaller 'mon, the artist continued. "It's not just a way to let pokémon out, it also makes for a lovely entrance in its own right."

"Uh..." Tondo fidgeted in place, energy arcing between his footpads and the floor with each nervous step in place. "How does it work...?"

"I'd love to show you." Marko grinned. "Would you like to be my lunch today? That way you can experience it for yourself." His voice lilted playfully, but remained kind and affectionate.

The electric type nodded rapidly, cheeks arcing with energy. His eyes returned to the brush, leaning his face towards it.

"Careful or I'll have to run a wire after you to keep you grounded." The smeargle quipped, winking. "But before we get started, you remember your friend's shirt?"

Tondo perked, attention jumping to the white cloth under the larger male's arm. "Oh yes! It was a wonderful likeness of him."

"Normally I wait until you're in me to do this, but I want you to see the method." Marko grasped his tail just behind the bulb. Without watching what his hand was doing, he held his other hand out to frame the smaller 'mon in his vision. "Won't mess with the process to do it early, it's more habit than anything..." With practiced, easy strokes, he brought his tail-brush along the eggshell canvas of his broad belly. Very quickly, he was done. When he pulled his tail away, there was a perfect rendition of Tondo's smiling face done in Marko's default green paint.

The raichu was smiling just the same way... for some reason his blushy feelings faded somewhat... he was less flustered and more... well... excited? This was finally happening... Finally? He'd only found out about it yesterday! But still it felt like he'd been waiting his whole life to be adorning the big artist's body.

"Now, the shirts themselves are screen-printed... in a manner." The smeargle explained, unfurling the blank white shirt in Tondo's size from under his arm. He made sure that it was facing the right way, then delicately brought it down to his belly. There was a moment of adjustment, before he draped the fabric over the freshly painted mark. His paws smoothed over the back, pressing firmly and indenting his own plush body somewhat.

When Marko peeled the shirt off again, an identical design had been transferred, while the paint on his belly was just as clear as ever. Due to the symmetry of the image of the raichu's smiling face, there was no mirroring effect from the printing process. The artist gingerly leaned forward to hand the shirt to its new owner.

Tondo carefully grasped the shirt by the seams on the shoulders and looked over the transferred design. Up close, he was surprised just how well fine details were reproduced. Things he couldn't even see standing at ground level that had been included in the marking on the bigger male's belly. After a few more moments of silent appreciation, he looked around, trying to find the right spot to set it down. He walked over to a clean work table and draped it paint-side up over the surface to dry. "I'll just pick this up after lunch..." He blushed softly at his own casualness at the subject.

When the raichu turned around, he found the smeargle's tail hovering at the top of his vision. He swallowed and discharged his own bolt against the floor, staring up at it.

Marko held the brush perfectly still, a playful smile on his cheeks. "I was going to ask if you're ready, but it looks like you are." The brush spread out, going from a round mass of bristles to a bell-shaped bulb, revealing the hollow inside beyond an opening that was framed by the paint-soaked longer hairs.

Tondo stared in awe. He knew it could stretch easily, having accidentally accepted his head the day before. But he mentally estimated that it somehow was just gaping open wide enough to fit around his prodigious belly. His belly! Carefully, without looking away from the descending bell, he untied his waist-apron, letting it flop down to the tile, making him fully naked. No need to ruin that nice new gift, after all. "N-now I'm ready." He murmured softly, not looking away from the puckered flesh on the far side of the open orifice. Unlike the last time he saw that spot, there was no pooled up paint. Was that because Marko had poured out so much earlier in the morning?

"Of course." The larger male said affectionately, before his tail struck. With a wet slorp, the open bell dropped, not touching the electric type at all until the top of his belly. Even then, it was already open enough that the force of the movement carried the brush down to just above the hip. Tondo's large belly got a good squeeze, the ball-belly getting pulled up away from the floor by the suction. It was enough that just the underside of his gut wasn't held by the strong appendage.

Tondo carefully nuzzled at the soft flesh in front of him as it conformed to his upper body. Just his arms below the elbow were free, albeit surrounded by bristles. As much as he could he bent them enough to try to feel at the stretched bulb holding onto him. To his surprise, he felt the smeargle nuzzle back through the soft flesh.

The tail flexed, holding Tondo fast as it lifted him off his feet. Marko gently folded the smaller 'mon's arms back down, before giving the shape of his new meal a hug through the sealed bulb. He sighed happily, before letting go and allowing his brush's natural inclinations to take over. A lot faster than most would think, the dangling raichu legs and long whip-like tail rose out of sight, making the bulge travelling up his rear appendage become a full representation of his meal. The artist licked his lips, sighing affectionately as he enjoyed the view and the feeling of the nice stretch...

Tondo found himself, after what seemed like both forever and only a minute, pressing out of the tight tunnel into a warm, soft chamber. He sluiced the whole way in, gently tugging on his tail to get the bolt to come through after him.

"Doing alright in there?" Marko's voice resonated down through his body, easy to understand.

The raichu smiled softly, rolling over onto his back. The stomach walls cradled him, like a hammock that wraps all the way around. "Yeah, I'm all good, Marko!" He called out, not sure how loud he had to be with just how plush his predator already was.

"Good." The artist responded, the belly starting to rock and sway in a way that indicated to his meal that he was walking. "Now, I'm going to go prepare a lunch for you. It'll be ready by the time you reform."

Tondo blushed a little. Just when he thought he was past being flustered, the artist showed that little bit of caring...

"Now, all you have to do is relax and let my body lull you to sleep, and then you'll be part of me for a little bit." Marko explained in a gentle voice. "And until you doze off, just enjoy your time in there."

Nodding, even though he knew that Marko couldn't see, the electric type settled in. He rested his paws on the apex of his ball gut, draping his own bolt between them. His toes gently pressed into the soft rugae at the other end of the stomach. He gently kneaded there to feel the pliant flesh.

This seemed to coax the stomach lining into action. Gently, it compressed around him, fleshy contractions coming slowly and gently, though definitely being firm enough to be hard to resist. But why resist? It felt like a lovely full-body massage.

Tondo found himself drifting shortly after the walls had begun kneading back, the welcoming warmth and tender treatment doing their job to subdue him. He wondered just how much weight Marko would gain from him. Well, he'd be able to see after he reformed...

And with that, he fully dropped into unconsciousness.

Tondo swam back to wakefulness, finding himself laying on a large cushion in the artist's lounge. He looked around, as this room hadn't been on the previous tour.

It was a small room, the view out the windows telling him he was upstairs. Around the walls were several chairs for regular sized pokémon, as well as some low tables with some large art theory books laid out for perusal. The cushion the raichu was curled up on was the exception to this décor, a big soft beanbag chair probably scaled to the immense rear end of his host. The fuzzy wrapping of the cushion was also the same color as Marko's main fur. It gave him the feeling of having woken up from sleeping on top of the smeargle's stomach.

Speaking of, Marko arrived carrying a tray near his chest. While the lay-'mon wouldn't notice, Tondo immediately saw just how much wider and rounder the big artist's tummy was. At the same time, he noticed that the paint had faded on top of the belly, as though permanent pigment had been worn away by days and days of normal living. Hadn't the artist told him that the paint was easy to remove with soap?

"How's my sweet little spark of inspiration doing?" Marko said playfully, lowering the tray to reveal a lunch spread on it. He set it on one of the nearby tables.

Blushing at the term of endearment, Tondo sat up fully, finding the tray just in arms reach if he scooted to the edge of the big cushion. "I'm alright... Uh..."

The smeargle anticipated the question easily. "Oh, the faded look. No, it's still the same day. When I reform pokémon, the painted marking fades like this. It'll be gone tomorrow." He grunted and carefully sat down onto the floor to be closer to eye level with the smaller 'mon. "When I let them out whole the way you came in, I have to wash the marking off manually, so it must have to do with the reformation process."

Tondo grasped the sandwich that was laid on the tray and started to munch on it, looking back up at the artist. He munched a few times on the mix of greens and berry jam stuck between the bread, before swallowing. "Is that why you do the shirt transfers?"

Marko chuckled affectionately. "Well, that and giving my 'helpers' something to remember the event by..." He rocked in place for a moment, paws resting atop his raichu-rounded belly. He seemed to be pondering something. After a long silence broken only by the munching 'chu, he spoke again. "I wasn't just being a flirt when I called you a spark of inspiration. I see a lot of creativity in you, as well as the base artistic skills necessary for that imagination to flourish, with the right encouragement."

The smaller 'mon stopped chewing for a moment, staring up at the artist, not sure where this string of complementary statements was going.

"I'm very glad you took me up on my offer to look over your sketchbook. That is what tipped me over the edge in my decision." The artist spoke simply, looking down at the disbelieving gaze Tondo was giving him. "I'd like to officially apprentice you to my studio. Not just coming over to help out when you can, maybe with a little lesson from time to time. I would like to hone your skills and your artistic eye. Teach you new techniques to add to your repertoire. Teach you all the little tasks that an artist needs to know for prepping and cleaning a workspace."

Tondo's jaw dropped sometime after the word 'apprentice' struck the air. After a long moment, he realized that the artist had stopped speaking, shutting his gob and swallowing the masticated greens. "I.... I'm honored, Marko." He lowered the sandwich to in front of the curve of his belly. "I'll do my best. You won't regret this, sir!"

Marko carefully pressed the midsection of his tail against the floor and shifted his hips, getting his foot paws under his center of mass once more. He stood up with a ponderous wobble. "That's heartening to hear. I'm sure you want to get back to your lunch before we start any other lessons." He turned, then paused. "And be careful, your new shirt is tucked under the platter there. Perhaps when we're done today you could wear it when you tell your friend Vincent the good news." He winked.

The electric type's cheeks sparked. He carefully discharged against the tiles, before setting the sandwich down and checking his paws for berry juice. Satisfied they were clean, he lifted the broad plate and saw the bundled up white fabric. "Thank you, Sir."

"I'll leave you to your lunch, then." The giant 'mon smiled and waddled his way to the door. "I'll be doing some prep for the art lessons, so feel free to take your time." He waddled through and started down the stairs.

Tondo tucked the shirt against his side on the cushion, before reclaiming the sandwich. He wondered what the life of an apprentice would be like. Would he ever become a master like the smeargle? How long might it take? Part of him felt as though he didn't want to advance past apprenticeship, if only to stay around Marko longer. This thought caused him to have to discharge his tail bolt again.

As he eyed over the rest of the spread, especially the poké-poffs at the top of the tray, he found his mind drifting to what other secrets Marko had. He had learned so much in the last couple days and yet he felt like he still barely knew the artist. He finished the sandwich, picking up the berry cordial in its glass. That was for the future, but he couldn't help but wonder...
