"You think you could pick up some snacks for me?" Clair asked. Ray was getting ready to make a trip to the grocery store, and was asking if his feline companion needed anything. Upon hearing his response, he gave him a quizzical look.

"You bought snacks two days ago." Reyson stated. It wasn't a question.

"I did."

"...you ate them all." The wolf quickly concluded, in his ever calm and unassuming tone of voice.

"Um........ no....." Clair responded, slowly realizing he was being judged, contrary to said calm and unassuming tone of voice.

"Are you lying?" Despite the accusatory nature of the question, there was not a trace of animosity to be found as Reyson continued this impromptu interrogation

"...maybe?" the now fidgety feline uttered... not that it mattered-they both knew this line of questioning was just a formality at this point.

"A h." The lupine continued eyeing Clair curiously before leaving his room. Clair heard the pantry door open... and then close. This was shortly followed by the door to the apartment opening... then closing.

Clair was in deep concentration, practicing his music enhanced by his sonomancy. He created a sound barrier localized in his room to stop any neighbor complaints, and had conjured a guitar and was brushing up on some chords and rhythms until he heard a knocking from within his room. Dispelling all of his magic, he turned towards the doorway to see Reyson.

The wolf held up a plastic bag filled with several bags of the treats Clair usually liked to indulge himself in. The grown up kitty gasped with joy and purred out a blissful response:

"Yaaaaaaaa-"

"Cut back." Reyson cut him off with an uncharacteristically stern voice.

"I can't help it~ I'm faaat." Clair whined as he melodramatically patted his stomach and threw his hands up in performative misery. Ray sighed through his nose and went to put the snacks away. Clair's eyes followed him as he was walking away.

"Hey, Ray." Clair called after him. The wolf turned his head back around to face him, maintaining his neutral expression.

"Thanks. I really appreciate it."

Reyson didn't respond, but his tail swished from one side to the other exactly once-

-It was later noted that it now took a grand total of 2 days for the snacks to have to be replenished instead of 2, an impressive 100% improvement in restraint.

"Dance with me!"

... were the words Clair exclaimed to Ray as he barged in his roommate's room. Ray continued playing his game, (an RPG this time, shocker) but took his headset off to respond.

"Is there an occasion?" he asked.

"Naw, I just want to dance with my best friend! Is that so strange?" Ray remained silent as he waited for more details. In the background, a knight started charging up his ultimate mega secret super move on the computer monitor. Clair eventually caved and continued.

"...okay, and also there's this ballroom dance class that's starting up today nearby that I wanted to take, but I don't want to go by myself. You only have to join for the first class since it's free! I can probably find a partner for the classes afterwards" The sound of a monster dying and a victory jingle played as Ray continued listening.

"So anyway, you wanna come? You should get out of the house anyway!" Clair made one last attempt to offer. Reyson finally responded.

"Mm, I'm not particularly interested..." Clair pouted and made a face at his friend.

"Boo, you suck!~" He jeered. He wasn't actually that upset-he knew that this sort of thing wouldn't really be up Ray's alley-but it entertained him to play up his dissatisfaction in hopes of changing his friend's mind. He started leaving the room when a hand suddenly gripped his arm.

"You're leaving without me?" Reyson asked curiously.

"Huh?"

"Didn't you want to dance together?" The wolf added.

Upon realizing his friend's agreement, Clair clutched Reyson's hand vigorously and started dragging them both out the door before Reyson could change his mind, or even get changed. The look on the cat's face was a smile of elated exuberance.

"Yeah! Of course! Let's go!" Ray certainly wasn't ready to suddenly be pulled against his will (...was Clair always this strong?), but a faint smile escaped his muzzle as they got ready to leave. Back on the computer monitor, a notification popped up for an achievement titled "the Bonds of Friendship".

As it so happens, Reyson enjoyed the class more than he thought he would, and they both ended up signing up for a several month lesson plan. To Clair's slight chagrin, the wolf ended up being much better at it than the cat, but win some, lose some, he supposed.
