Fox and the Tiger: A Magnus and Bernard story
A first story, introducing my characters Bernard Fangmeyer & Magnus Fox.
It's a beautiful, late-spring day in... Savanna Central, Zootopia.
Welcome to Savanna Central High; students arrive about 8 a.m., good Monday morning.
Aside from the basic courses, everyone attends their other classes like Theater, Home EC to
Shop class, and Auto-shop, and so on.
The day progresses, and it's now around 3 p.m.
Magnus Fox--a six-foot, muscular, male red fox with dark sapphire blue eyes, Scarlett Ronze hair, and
reddish-orange fur with a medium-golden blond tip on his tail--was in front of his locker.
And since he didn't have any homework, he put his books and other stuff in his locker before packing his backpack to head home.
Bernard Fangmeyer--a six-foot-four-inch, muscular, male Siberian tiger with medium-blue sapphire eyes, copper brown hair, and orange and black striped fur--was in front of his locker. Magnus then stopped by Bernard's locker and hugged him. Bernard returned the hug and kissed him tenderly.
They paused, looked at each other, and smiled. Bernard cleared his throat.
"Magnus, We've been seeing each other, off and on, for a while now. Would you like to be my beau? " Bernard inquired.
"Yes, Bernard! You know, I love you very much! " Magnus replied, lovingly.
Bernard opens his locker and carefully takes out his letterman jacket. He puts his letterman jacket over Magnus' shoulders to indicate they are going steady. Magnus beams, then kisses Bernard on the lips.
"I need to take care of one last item. I'll be right back." Following that, Bernard had a quick pash with Magnus.
He put his letterman jacket and Magnus' backpack in his locker for safekeeping, just until he returned. Then he takes a manila envelope out of his locker, locks it, and heads to the principal's office.
One of the other guys in the school, Zeke, a bogan, sees this. As soon as Bernard leaves, he sees Magnus head to the washroom.
Zeke sniggers as he pours a jug of a slippery substance on the floor in front of the washroom entrance. Then he hid around corner, to watch it happen!
Magnus came barreling out of the washroom and hit the slippery patch! That sent him flying half way across the hallway. He let out a loud scream... just before he hit the floor.
On his way back, Bernard hears this and recognises the voice as Magnus'. He then tore through the hallways to where Magnus was, when he stepped away.
Bernard rounded the corner and found Magnus sprawled out on the floor. As he got closer to Magnus, he could hear someone sniggering. He looked in the direction he heard it coming from, and noticed someone peeking around the corner.
This enraged him. He approaches the person who was peeking around the corner, then notices it was Zeke. He noticed the jug at Zeke's feet. He knew, at once, that Zeke was the culprit. Taking Zeke by the throat, he slammed him into the wall. Bernard pulls back his right arm, ready to sock him one. He pauses for a moment.
"No! I'm not ruining my life over you! You're not worth it!" said Bernard, angrily.
Bernard picks up the jug, drags Zeke to the principal's office, and throws him down to the floor.
"I'll let the police deal with you!" said Bernard, angrily, pointing at Zeke.
Bernard looks up at the secretary, a powerful woman you don't want to mess with, who has a shocked
look on her face. Seeing Bernard in the office astounded her. But, she wasn't surprised to see Zeke in the office, as it was his umpteenth time there.
"What did he do this time?" the secretary inquired.
Bernard puts the jug on the secretary's desk.
"Again! That's the third time. " She snarled.
Zeke was on the floor, shaking a little.
The secretary enquired, "Who was hurt this time?"
"My boyfriend, Magnus Fox." Bernard replied, with a little anger in his voice.
"You go deal with your boyfriend. I'll call the police. " The Secretary urged, with a smile, then dialed the phone.
The Secretary then looks down at Zeke.
"Don't you move, asshole!" She snarled, as she held the phone's mouthpiece in her left hand.
Bernard ran at full speed back to Magnus, praying to the gods that he was still alive.
Magnus tries to breathe, but he wheezes, moans, and coughs when he exhales.
When Bernard returns to Magnus, he whips out his smartphone and calls for an ambulance.
After which he hangs up and puts it away. He then takes Magnus' hand and kisses it tenderly.
"I'm right here, love. The ambulance is on its way," he sobbed, tears streaming down his cheeks.
A couple of minutes later, the paramedics arrived with the stretcher. They carefully lifted Magnus up on to it.
"Come with us to the hospital," the paramedic said to Bernard.
"I'll take my car and meet you there." Bernard says
"OK, see you there." the paramedic said to Bernard.
Bernard unlocks his locker. He removes his letterman jacket and then Magnus' backpack, which he places on his right shoulder. He then closes and locks his locker. He then follows the paramedics.
Just as they are about to exit the front of the school, they see the police hauling Zeke away in handcuffs.
Zeke sees Magnus and sniggers.
The police officer pulls out her taser.
"Shut up, you!" she said firmly, as she zapped Zeke with it.Bzzzt!
The police officer takes Zeke to her police car, puts him in the back, then gets in and drives to the station.
The paramedics wheeled the stretcher to the ambulance and carefully put it inside. They got in,
then drove to Savanna Central General Hospital.
Meanwhile, Bernard goes to his luxury car. He gets in, puts his letterman jacket and Magnus' backpack in the passenger seat, and takes the wheel. He followed the ambulance to Savanna Central General Hospital.
On the way, in the ambulance, the intense pain caused Magnus to pass out!

The ambulance pulls up to Savanna Central General Hospital's ambulance emergency entrance.
The paramedics carefully took the stretcher out of the ambulance, then wheeled it to the emergency room. Bernard parks his car in the parking lot and then meets up with the paramedics in the emergency room.
The Doctor (a red kangaroo) and his nurse-husband (a western grey kangaroo) entered the room to examine Magnus Fox. The doctor questions Bernard while the nurse attends to Magnus.
"G'day. I'm Doctor Jarli. "greeted Doctor Jarli, in his distinct Aussie accent.
"And this is Nurse Tarka." He continues, pointing to his nurse-husband, and then asks, "How are you?"
"I'm OK." Bernard replied, with a little sadness in his voice.
"What is your relationship with Magnus Fox?" Dr. Jarli inquires.
"He is my boyfriend." Bernard replied, with a smile.
For a moment, Dr. Jarli smiles, and then inquires: "What happened to him?"
"One of the other guys in the school... poured a slippery substance on the floor in front of the washroom entrance," Bernard replied.
Bernard paused for a moment. He takes a deep breath, then continues.
"Magnus slipped on it and was injured." Bernard grimaced as he recounted the painful incident, still fresh in his memory.
"Yikes!" Dr. Jarli said, calmly.
He turns to Nurse Tarka and says, "Can you hook up Magnus to an IV, then give him a dose of morphine, please?"
Nurse Tarka replies, "Right away, dear!" "I mean... doctor!" he quickly corrected himself.
He proceeds to hook up Magnus to an IV, then gives him a dose of morphine.
Bernard pulled up a chair next to the bed Magnus was on and comforted him.
Dr. Jarli took out his smartphone, called the Radiology department, and booked a CT scan.
"Nurse Tarka." said the doctor
Nurse Tarka turned to the doctor and replied, "Yes, Doctor."
"I just booked Magnus for a CT scan. Can you take him there, please? "the doctor asked.
"On it!" he replied.
Nurse Tarka wheeled Magnus' bed out of the ER, then through the halls of the hospital, to the Radiology department. Then through the department and
into the CT Scan room. The CT scan technologist helps him move Magnus to the CT's imaging bed. The radiology technologist scanned Magnus' torso.
About an hour later, Nurse Tarka wheeled Magnus' bed back to the ER. He steps out, returning a couple of minutes later to give Magnus one last dose of morphine.
Bernard took a seat next to Magnus' bed. He looked lovingly at Magnus while gently holding his hand.
"The doctor will be with you as soon as he finishes examining the CT images." Nurse Tarka told Bernard.
Bernard turns back to Magnus, still holding his hand.
"I've loved you ever since the talent show, when you sang "Bring Him Home" from Les Misérables," Bernard disclosed, after which he laid his head on the bed.
A moment later, Magnus came to, and then tenderly kissed Bernard's hand.
Bernard lifted his head, and then exclaimed, "You're awake!?"
"After seeing the way you looked at me that night, I was in love. You were, and still are, the only one for me," Magnus revealed honestly, despite the pain.
A couple of minutes later, Dr. Jarli comes to Magnus' bed. He turns to Bernard.
"I've examined the CT images," said the doctor, pausing, then continuing, "I don't believe what the images are showing me."
Bernard looks at the doctor and asks, "What's wrong?"
The Doctor revealed, "If Magnus went through what you say he did, he should be in worse shape than he is. He just has some bruising on his ribs, but nothing else is wrong. "
He looks at Magnus, who has a surprised look on his face.
"Here's a prescription for some pain medication. He must rest up, as much as possible. " The doctor informed Bernard.
"Am I not the patient here?" Magnus teased.
Bernard chuckled.
"I'm sorry, mate," the doctor replied to Magnus, with a smile.
"Here's a prescription for some pain medication, and you must rest up, as much as possible." The doctor informed him.
"Exams are coming up soon; will I be able to take them?" asked Magnus.
"As long as you are feeling well enough, and if you take your meds beforehand, I see no problem, " the doctor replied.
Bernard gently hugs Magnus, and then they share a loving kiss.
Dr. Jarli smiles for a moment.
"You may go home now," the doctor affirmed.
Bernard turns to Magnus and asks, "Magnus, would you like to stay at my place while you recuperate?" He pauses for a moment, then continues: "You can stay in the guest bedroom, just until the exams are over."
Magnus responded with a smile, "Sure, but we'll need to retrieve my things, so we can prepare for the exams."
"OK, let's go! " He said.
Bernard then gave Magnus his clothes so he could get dressed, after which they left the hospital.

It was mid-morning when they crossed the parking lot to get to Bernard's luxury car. Magnus sat in the passenger seat while Bernard took the wheel. They stopped at the school, picked up Magnus' books and other stuff, in order to prepare for the exams. After that, Bernard drove him and Magnus to his place.

They arrived late in the afternoon at Bernard's place and headed inside. He stops just inside the living room, then turns and looks at Magnus.
"Welcome to my place." Bernard said cheerfully, as he gestured, showing the whole room.
The living room featured a dark red microfiber 3-seat Lawson-style sofa, set lengthwise in the room,
facing towards the TV. It includes two coordinating armchairs on the left side of the sofa, as well
as a coffee table and a dining area. Just right for having friends around for a movie, a game night, or even
a get-together.
"Nice!" Magnus marveled, with a smile. He continues, "Damn, you have a gorgeous place!"
"Why thank you!" Bernard responds, smiling.
"You can place your stuff on this armchair for now." He said, pointing to the armchair next to the sofa.
Magnus places his stuff on the armchair as suggested, while Bernard hangs his coat in the closet.
"I'm going to have tea. Would you like some?" Bernard asked him.
"That would be nice, please and thank you" Magnus replied.
Bernard made a pot of tea, brought it to the living room, and served it. While they have their tea, they prepare for their upcoming exams. After a couple of hours of studying, he pauses to make his and Magnus' favorite meal, which he had made once before at Magnus' place.
"Magnus, it is time to have something to eat," he announced, as he served the food.
"Right, I am a bit peckish!" affirmed Magnus, as he put his books down, walked to the table, and sat down.
After they finished dinner and did the dishes, they studied for about an hour. Then they retired to bed, with Bernard in his bedroom and Magnus, after taking his pain meds, retiring to the spare bedroom.
It was about 9 in the morning. Bernard was in the kitchen cooking breakfast when Magnus walked in.
He says cheerfully, "Morning, dear."
"How are you feeling today?" Bernard queried, cheerful.
"Much better, thank you," Magnus replied, then got a glass of water and took his pain meds.
"Breakfast will be ready in a couple of minutes," he announces.
"Mind if I set the table for you?" asked Magnus, calmly.
"Cupboard and drawer, left of sink," replied Bernard.
"OK." Magnus replied, then got out the dishes and the cutlery, and set the table.
Just as Magnus finished setting the table, Bernard served breakfast. After they finished breakfast and did the dishes, Bernard checked the time.
"Is it time to go to school for our exams?"asked Magnus.
"That it is!" Bernard responded.
They grabbed their backpacks and jackets, then headed to the garage and into Bernard's luxury car.
Magnus sat in the passenger seat while Bernard took the wheel. After arriving at the school, Bernard
parked his car in the student parking lot. They got out of the car and headed into the school.

On this Monday morning, students were arriving on time for their exams. Magnus placed his books and other stuff in his locker, carrying only what he needed for his exams. He stops at a water fountain for a drink, takes his meds, and then heads into the exam room.
Shh! Exams are currently in progress!
It's now around 2:30 p.m. Bernard and Magnus have finished their Grade 12 exams.
"I'm thankful the exams are over!" Magnus whispered cheerfully, since others were still finishing up their exams.
"How would you like to grab a drink from Snarlbucks on the way home?" Bernard inquires, his gaze falling on Magnus.
"Yes, please!" Magnus responds.

They walked to the student parking lot, then got into Bernard's luxury car. Bernard drove in the direction of Magnus' place. On the way, they stopped at a nearby Snarlbucks, where Bernard ordered a grande cappuccino and Magnus ordered a grande London fog. Bernard used his Snarlbucks card to pay for the order.
"Thank you, Bernard," said Magnus, with a smile.
"You're welcome." Bernard replied, with a smile.
They got back into Bernard's luxury car and headed to Magnus' place. After Bernard pulled into the driveway, they shared a romantic kiss, and then Magnus got out of the car.
"Goodbye, my love," said Magnus, cheerfully.
"Goodbye, my love!" echoed Bernard, cheerfully.
Magnus walked to his front door, turned, and waved goodbye to Bernard, who waved back, then drove home. He then went inside, closing the door behind him.
Bernard arrived home safely.

About two weeks later, Bernard and Magnus received their report cards.
Magnus called Bernard up.
[Bernard's smartphone rings]
"Hello?" Bernard replied, answering his phone.
"Hello, dear," replies Magnus.
"Oh, hello, darling." Bernard replied.
"I got my report card. Did you get yours? " Magnus asked.
Yes I did, " Bernard replied, as he opened the envelope.
Hearing the envelope being opened, he asked, "What did you get? As if I needed to ask."
Bernard chuckles, "In my main courses I got an A, in my electives I got an A+. You? "
Magnus opens his envelope and reveals, "In my main courses I got a B, in my theatre courses I got an A-."
He paused for a moment, then continued, "Looks like we graduated."
"That we did," Bernard replied.
"Ciao babe!" replies Magnus.
"Ciao," Bernard replied, before they both hung up.
Three days later, they each received their diplomas by special delivery.
Bernard graduates from the Zootopia Police Academy. As a new police officer, he is assigned to the
ZPD (Zootopia Police Department) precinct in Sahara Square.
After a couple of years, he was promoted to sergeant and then transferred to Precinct 1 in Savanna Central.
He then moves back to his Savanna Central condo.

He puts his shoes and coat in the closet, then goes to his room and puts his stuff away. He then makes himself a cup of tea, after which he sits on the sofa to enjoy it.
"It's great to be home, and boy did I miss this place." Bernard stated.
A couple days later, Officer Hopps sends a note to Peter Moosebridge.
[Benjamin Clawhauser is called up by Peter Moosebridge.]
"Bernard Fangmeyer is back in town, Benjamin; please meet me at Snarlbucks. I'll buy you a latte."
"See you there, Peter," Clawhauser replied, before they both hung up.

Benjamin Clawhauser arrives at Snarlbucks, fifteen minutes after talking to Peter Moosebridge.
He sees Peter, who then stands up, and they shake paws. They approach the counter and order lattes, which Peter pays for with his Snarlbucks card. After which, they returned with their lattes, to Peter's table.
"Nice to see you again, Benjamin" Peter says cheerfully.
"Nice to see you too, Peter" Benjamin responds cheerfully.
"We need to reunite Bernard Fangmeyer and Magnus Fox," Peter explains.
"You're totally right! Without Magnus, Bernard has been looking a little lonely recently," Benjamin replies.
"How about we get them together somewhere?" Peter inquires, taking a drink of his latte in the meantime.
Benjamin suggested with a chuckle, "How about_The Gayborhood Bear_?"
From his Latte, Peter slowly raises his head.
"How do you know about that club?" Peter inquires, with a shocked expression.
Benjamin responded, "I have a friend who lives in the Gayborhood, and he once took me there."
"O-K" Peter begins, before adding, "You setup Bernard and I'll setup Magnus."
"Agreed!" Benjamin acknowledged.
They picked up their Lattes and made their way out the door.
"I'll see you around, Benjamin," Peter adds pleasantly.
Benjamin cheerfully says, "Later, Peter."
They each go their own ways.

The next day, a Friday, I believe, at about lunchtime, Magnus' smartphone rings.
[Peter Moosebridge, called Magnus]
"Hello?" Magnus answered.
"Hi Magnus. It's me, Peter Moosebridge. How are you? " Peter says.
"Pretty good, actually. You? " Magnus replies.
"Very well, thanks." Peter replies, before adding, "By the way, I got word that Cyndi Laupear is performing in town tonight."
"Really?" Magnus says cheerfully, then continues, "But, I don't think I can get there in time."
(Cyndi Laupear ... a Singer-songwriter (species: Thrianta rabbit ))
"I can drive you there." Peter says cheerfully.
"Why thank you, Peter." Magnus responds cheerfully.
"I can be there in a couple of minutes." Peter replies.
"See you then, Peter," Magnus replied, before they both hung up.
Unbeknownst to Magnus, Peter made this call from his car, which was parked on the corner of the block where Magnus lives. Magnus rushes to get dressed for the evening. After a few minutes, the doorbell rings, and he answers it.
"Hi Peter." Magnus says, recognising him from watching ZNN on TV.
"Hi Magnus. Are you ready to go?" Peter asks.
"Just a minute." Magnus replies.
He takes his light jacket from the closet. Then he, and Peter, leave his condo and head to Peter's car.
Magnus sat in the passenger seat while Peter took the wheel.

They arrived a few minutes later, outside_The Gayborhood Bear_. Magnus climbs out of the car. Just then,
Peter notices a poster for the Cyndi Laupear concert. He thinks, "Oops, wrong date, oh well," and keeps
his mouth shut about it. Then his smartphone rings.
[Officer Hopps called up Peter.]
"Hello?" Peter replied, answering his phone.
"Hello, Peter," Officer Hopps responds.
"Oh, hi, Officer Hopps." Peter replied
"I need to see you at the station for a minute," replies Officer Hopps.
"Now?" queried Peter.
"Yes, now," replied Officer Hopps.
"I'll be there shortly." Peter answered, before they both hung up.
Peter sticks his head out the door of his car.
"Magnus." Peter calls.
"Yes?" Magnus replies.
"I'm needed at the station by Officer Hopps. Will you be able to manage on your own? " Enquirers Peter.
Magnus answered, "Of course. I am a big boy after all. "
"Here's a twenty. Have a drink on me, " Peter says, handing Magnus a twenty-Zootopian dollar bill.
Magnus accepts the twenty-Zootopian dollar bill and then enters the club, after which Peter drives off to the
ZPD station.
A couple minutes later, Clawhauser pulls up in his car, with Bernard in the passenger seat. Bernard climbs out of the car.
[Officer Hopps called up Clawhauser.]
"Hello?" Clawhauser replied, answering his phone.
"Clawhauser, I need you at the station." replies Officer Hopps.
"OK, I'll be there shortly." Clawhauser answered, before they both hung up.
Clawhauser sticks his head out the door of his car.
"Bernard." Clawhauser calls.
"Yes?" Bernard replies.
"I'm needed at the station by Officer Hopps. Will you be OK?" Clawhauser enquirers
Bernard answered, "No problem."
"Here's a twenty, have a drink on me." Clawhauser says, handing Bernard a twenty Zootopian dollar bill.
Bernard looks a little strange at Clawhauser, but still accepts the money before entering the club, after which Clawhauser drives off to the ZPD station.

Later, Peter and Officer Clawhauser arrive at the ZPD, where Officer Hopps is waiting for them.
"Hi guys. Did they arrive at the club ok?" inquired Officer Hopps.
"Yes. Magnus didn't suspect anything." answers Peter.
"Yes, But, when I told Bernard I was needed at the station, he did give me a strange look. I'm not sure if he suspected anything, though." answered Clawhauser.

It was about late Saturday morning. Magnus is spending some time in a local park.
[Magnus calls up Bernard.]
"Hello?" Bernard replied, answering his phone.
"Hello, Bernard," Magnus responds.
"What's up?" replied Bernard.
"I had something weird happen to me last night," says Magnus.
"What happened?" asked Bernard.
"Peter Moosebridge called me up, and told me about a famous singer performing here. He picked me up at my place. Then, he drives me to this club, and as soon as I get out of his car, he says he has to go to the ZPD station, " replies Magnus.
"That sounds eerily like what Clawhauser did to me last night." Bernard stated, then continued, "What club did Peter drop you off at?"
"The Gayborhood Bear" replied Magnus.
"Uh-huh," Bernard replies, before adding, "I think someone is trying to set us up."
"I don't think it is Peter Moosebridge or Officer Clawhauser." Magnus responds, before adding, "Wait a minute, aren't you in Sahara Square?"
"I think I know who might be at the bottom of this." Bernard replies, before adding, "Let's keep quiet about this and see how it plays out, OK?"
"Won't say a word." Magnus responds.
"Take care dear. Bye for now." Bernard replied.
"Bye, dear. Take care," said Magnus, before they both hung up.
It is now the following Thursday, mid-morning. Officer Hopps arrives at the ZPD with a pair of tickets to see Cyndi Laupear perform at_The Gayborhood Bear_. She goes up to the front desk, where Clawhauser is.
"Clawhauser?" Judy calls.
"Yes, Officer Hopps?" Clawhauser replies.
"I was given a pair of tickets to see Cyndi Laupear perform at_The Gayborhood Bear_," says Judy.
"Oh." responds Clawhauser.
"Yes." Judy says, before adding, "You are to give one to Peter Moosebridge to give to Magnus." And you give the other one to Bernard. "
"OK, will do." replies Clawhauser.
[Benjamin Clawhauser calls up Peter Moosebridge.]
"Hello?" Peter replied, answering his phone.
"Hello, Peter," Benjamin responds.
"What's up?" replies Peter.
"I have a ticket to go see Cyndi Laupear perform at_The Gayborhood Bear_. And it's for you to give it to Magnus," explains Benjamin.
"OK, I will be right over to pick it up." Peter responds
"See you later, Peter," Clawhauser replied, before they both hung up.
A few minutes later, Peter arrives at the ZPD. He meets Clawhauser at the front desk.
"Here is the ticket for Magnus," Clawhauser says, handing the ticket to Peter.
"Thank you," Peter says, before adding, "I will get it to him right away." Peter replies, as he exits the ZPD to deliver the ticket.

Peter gets into his car and drives to Magnus' place. He pulls up to the building, parks his car, and rings the doorbell. Magnus responds.
"Hello, Peter," Magnus greets.
"Hello, Magnus," Peter greets him.
"Please come in." Magnus responds.
Peter takes the ticket out of his pocket.
As he hands the ticket to Magnus, Peter says, "Here's a ticket for you... to see Cyndi Laupear at
The Gayborhood Bear."
As Magnus receives the ticket, he says, "Oh... thank you Peter."
Peter could tell there was something wrong by his expression.
Peter asks, "What's wrong?"
Magnus responds: "My jackets need to be cleaned so that I can wear one to the concert tomorrow.
But, I'm not sure I'll be able to make it to the cleaners before they close."
"I can get them to the cleaners for you," says Peter.
Magnus goes to his closet and removes all of his jackets, except the letterman jacket, which he received from Bernard in high school. He hands them to
Peter, so he can take them to the dry cleaners.
"I will get them back to you as soon as possible tomorrow, so you can wear one to the concert," says Peter.
"OK, see you tomorrow, Peter," Magnus replies.
"Bye," Peter replies, as he exits Magnus' place with the jackets.

Peter gets into his car, puts the jackets in the passenger seat, and drives to the dry cleaners. He parks his car out in front, takes the jackets and then goes
inside.
"How can I assist you?" the dry cleaner inquired.
Peter replied, "I have a few jackets that need cleaning."
"When do you need them done by?" the dry cleaner inquired.
"Friday. Tomorrow, around noon." Peter answered.
Peter hands the jackets to the dry cleaner, who hangs them on the rack. After that, he writes a dry cleaning ticket and hands it to Peter, who has just paid for the dry cleaning.
Just then, a well-dressed lady entered the shop. She gives a look to the dry cleaner, while furiously tapping her watch.
"Have you forgotten? It's your sister's wedding. We have to leave NOW!" she said sternly.
She tapes a sign to the shop door.
"Everyone out, NOW!" She said sternly.
Before Peter knew what hit him, He was outside the shop, the door locked, a sign taped on the door, and
the well-dressed lady and the dry cleaner were in her car, driving off. Peter, stunned, saw the sign on the door that read:
"Store Closed. Gone to my sister's Wedding, Won't be back till Monday. Signed, the dry cleaner."
[Peter calls up Magnus.]
"Hello?" Magnus replied, answering his phone.
"Hello, Magnus," Peter responds.
"Did you get my jackets to the dry cleaners?" asked Magnus.
"Yes." Peter responds, slowly.
"What happened?" asked Magnus.
Peter replied, "There is a sign on the door, that wasn't there when I arrived."
"Uh-oh," Magnus replies, and then asks, "What does the sign say?"
Peter reads aloud the sign on the shop door, "Store Closed. Gone to my sister's Wedding, Won't be back till Monday. Signed, the dry cleaner."
Magnus reacts, "I wasn't planning on wearing the letterman jacket, to be honest, but, hey, stuff does happen."
"True," says Peter, before adding, "See you tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow, Peter," Magnus replied, before they both hung up.

Peter arrives at Magnus' condo late Friday afternoon, rings the doorbell, and Magnus answers.
"Hello, Peter," Magnus greets.
"Hello, Magnus," Peter greets him.
"Please come in." Magnus responds.
Peter enters Magnus' condo. He takes the dry cleaning ticket out of his pocket.
"This is the dry cleaning ticket for the dry cleaners, where your jackets are being cleaned," Peter explains, as he hands him the dry cleaning ticket.
"Thank you," says Magnus, then sticks it on the notice board with a push-pin.
Peter, taking a quick look at his watch, then asks."Are you ready to go?"
"Just a minute," Magnus replies, as he grabs his ticket from the counter.
He takes his letterman jacket from the closet. Then, he and Peter leave his condo and head to Peter's car. Magnus sat in the passenger seat while Peter took the wheel.

They arrive outside_The Gayborhood Bear_, a few minutes later. Magnus climbs out of the car.
"Thanks for the lift." Magnus says.
Peter replies, "You're welcome."
Peter drives away. Magnus presents his ticket at the door, just before entering the club.
A moment later, Clawhauser pulls up outside_The Gayborhood Bear_. Bernard climbs out of the car.
"Thanks for the lift," Bernard says.
"No problem," Clawhauser responds.
Clawhauser drives away. Before entering the club, Bernard shows his ticket at the door.

Everyone at the club is having a good time.
A short while later, Bernard noticed Magnus because of the letterman jacket he was wearing.
He takes a second look, to make sure it's really him.
Bernard comes over to Magnus and taps him on the shoulder. Magnus turns and looks at who tapped him on the shoulder.
Bernard queries, "Magnus Fox?"
Magnus replies cheerfully, "Bernard? Bernard Fangmeyer? Is that really you? How have you been? "
They embraced each other and kissed passionately.
Magnus queries, "How long have you been back in Savanna Central?"
"About two months." Bernard replied, before asking, "Do you still love me?"
"I've never stopped loving you." Magnus answered.
They kissed lovingly once more. Then, they sat together and enjoyed the show.
After the show, Bernard went up to the DJ, slipping him some money in exchange for him playing a certain song. The DJ told him the title of the song which would be played just before it. Bernard now knew when the song would be played next.
After walking back to Magnus, Bernard declared, "That was a great show!"
"That it was!" Magnus said in agreement.
Bernard put his arm around Magnus' shoulder and inquired, "How would you like to stay at my place for the weekend?"
"Seriously?" Magnus replied, his brows raised.
"Yes." Bernard was quick to answer.
"You're on!" Magnus exclaimed gleefully.
Jarli and his husband, Tarka, were also enjoying themselves at the club. They were dancing to the song "Fashionista (Original Extended)" by Jimmy James. Jarli notices Bernard and Magnus. When he notices Bernard looking at him, he smiles and salutes him. Bernard smiles and salutes back. Jarli returns his attention to his husband and resumes dancing until the song ends.
"How about one dance before we go?" Bernard asks.
Magnus takes Bernard's hand and heads onto the dance-floor. "Casanova" by Paulina Rubio, came on just then. Their faces lit up! They thoroughly enjoyed the dance. After the song had ended, they left the dance-floor, still smiling. Bernard grabs the letterman jacket and puts it over Magnus' shoulders. He then grabs his jacket, after which they exit the club.

Bernard took out his smartphone and called a cab, which arrived a few minutes later. They got into the cab, shut the door, and proceeded to Bernard's place. Along the way, they stopped briefly at Magnus' place to quickly pack his leather overnight bag and backpack for the weekend.

They arrived at about 2 a.m. at Bernard's place. Bernard paid the cab fare, and they then headed inside. Bernard puts his shoes and coat in the closet. He then took Magnus' letterman jacket and shoes and put them in the closet as well.
Magnus starts heading to the spare bedroom, to put his leather overnight bag and backpack away. Just then Bernard stops him.
"Magnus, where are you going?" he asks him.
Magnus stops, turns to look at Bernard, and queries, "To sleep in the spare bedroom?"
With a smile, Bernard replies, "Not this time."
Magnus immediately joked, "Sofa?"
"You're sleeping in my bed with me," Bernard responds, smiling.
They headed into Bernard's bedroom, where they got ready for bed before settling in. Then they cuddled in each other's arms before giving each other loving hugs and kisses.
"Good night my love" Bernard says.
"Good night darling" Magnus responds.
They both fall asleep after one last... loving ... kiss.
It was about ten in the morning. Bernard was in the kitchen; he made a pot of tea, brought it to the living room, and served himself a cup. He made one quick phone call, just before Magnus walked into the kitchen.
He says cheerfully, "Morning, dear."
Bernard announced, his voice slightly raised, "I'm in the living room, darling."
Magnus walks into the living room, where Bernard is seated.
"I'm having tea. Would you like some? " Bernard asked him.
"Yes, please," Magnus replied.
"Help yourself," Bernard replied, before inquiring, cheerfully, "How are you today?"
"Wonderful, thank you," Magnus replied, as he sat on the sofa after serving himself a cup of tea.
"I thought I'd take you out for brunch," Bernard declares.
"Oh?" said Magnus, before asking, "Where?"
Bernard responds, "You'll just have to wait and see."

After they finished their tea and did the dishes, they proceeded to get ready to go out for brunch.
They grabbed their jackets, then headed to the garage, and got into Bernard's luxury car. Magnus sat in the passenger seat while Bernard took the wheel.

After a short drive, they came across a sign that read, "Welcome to Sahara Square."
"Uh-huh," Magnus thought, before thinking, "I wonder what classy little restaurant he knows of."
They arrived at_The Palm_ Hotel, a short drive later. The doorman of the Golden Palm Restaurant is approached by Bernard and Magnus.
"Good morning, Mr. Fangmeyer. We've been expecting you. " The doorman said, in his posh British accent, as he let them in ahead of everyone else.
Bernard and Magnus both nodded in respect as they entered the restaurant.

"Good morning, Mr. Fangmeyer. Your table is waiting. Follow me please. " The waiter said, in his posh British accent.
They followed the waiter and were seated at their reserved table. The waiter hands them each a menu, takes their orders a moment later, then collects the menus and leaves. A few minutes later, the waiter returned and began serving Magnus brunch.
"Thank you," Magnus said to the waiter, smiling.
Then the waiter began serving Bernard his brunch.
"Thank you," Bernard said to the waiter, smiling.
They were having a wonderful time while relaxing and having brunch.
"Magnus." said Bernard.
"Yes?" replied Magnus.
"How would you like to move in with me?" Bernard asked him.
Magnus was taken aback, then he inquired, "Are you serious?"
"Very!" Bernard replied
Since they were almost finished brunch, Bernard requested the check from the waiter and paid with his Furs National Bank credit card. After receiving the receipt and finishing brunch, they grabbed their jackets, then headed to the parking lot and got into Bernard's luxury car. Magnus sat in the passenger seat while Bernard took the wheel.

Bernard drove him and Magnus back to his place.
"If I'm going to live with you in your place, then I could rent out my condo." says Magnus.
"Great idea, Magnus. But we'll need to move your belongings out first" replied Bernard.
Magnus stated, "We can do that tomorrow."
"Agreed!"replied Bernard.
It was about ten the next morning. After having tea, they headed over to Magnus' pace to move his belongings out. With the extra help they received from friends, it was finished in no time. Magnus gave each of the friends a reloadable Snarlbucks card with twenty-Zootopian dollars on it.

They finished the move by driving back to Bernard's condo, Along the way they stopped and got an extra key made. Bernard pulled into the parking at his condo. After they entered the condo, Bernard gave Magnus his own key.
"Welcome to our condo," Bernard replied as he hugged and kissed Magnus.
"Why thank you," Magnus replied, giving Bernard a loving kiss in return.
At about 10 p.m. that evening, they headed into their bedroom and got ready for bed. They stripped off their clothes, tossing them on the chair in the corner, before crawling into bed. They then cuddle in one other's arms and share passionate hugs and kisses.
"Good night my love" Bernard says.
"Good night darling" Magnus responds.
They both fall asleep in each other's arms, after one last... loving ... kiss.
