Remlus' World
The world, the one I was born from, is divided. The world is physically divided by a long mountain and valley range as well as a large ocean, cutting the world in half. The Eastern World was always controlled by the Humans while the Western World was divided among the Non-Human races. While fighting amongst themselves, the Non-Human lands were invaded by the Power Hungry Humans. In fear of being controlled by a tyrant, many of the Non-Human nations banned together forming the First Rose. The Rose defended its land successfully and took over most of the Human lands. Over the centuries the many races of the Rose began to struggle with each other again. In order to prevent another full out war, the Rose quickly appointed twenty-two of its most powerful and wise, thus creating the Grey Order. The Grey Order took control of the world, its power flowing directly from the Rose. As they settled land disputes, economy failures and magical discipline, the Grey Order began to grow in power, much more than the Rose. The Rose started a power struggle with the Grey Order, a bloodless war between the world's most powerful forces. The Humans, neither part of the Grey Order or the Rose, created a group called, "The True Rose." The creation of this group sparked fear in both the Rose and the Grey Order. In order to appease the Humans and the Rose, the Grey Order created the "Rows System," a system in which each species is categorized and placed into a group. The True Rose rejected every species not Human and forced the Rose to accept everything else. In response the Rose began to create sub organizations, smaller Roses, divided by magical talent not species. The True Rose's only response was the create its own. The two Roses fought, creating new groups until the groups I was born into were created. The Grey Order retained its superiority as the Roses fought. Slowly gathering its own power, the Grey Order now rules with an iron fist. Advancing the Rows System, the Grey Order generated a way to classify all beings in a way that was not only quick and easy but it isolated the being and allowed them to develop themselves in a self sustaining way. In my world people are divided in more ways than just species; People are also divided by the type of magic they wield. At birth you are part of your Species' group, once you demonstrate an ability or affinity towards a certain type of craft you are filtered down into a subgroup. I have written a chart to help explain, however, the chart only shows the major groups and not the lesser groups which compose the most influential ones.

1) The Green Rose : A group formed, based on the idea of naturalism and the force of nature. Primalists and druidistic beings are part of this group. It is composed of mostly Non-Humans, but Humans are still integrated into this Rose.
2*) The Red Rose* : A group composed almost entirely of Humans. The only type of Non-Human who is a member of this group is a Fire Elemental or a similar being from the Fire Plain. This group is dedicated to control and has strict regulations. It is a third of the Grey Order's army.
3) The Blue Rose : Closely related to the Silver Rose, this group is known for its mastery over Ice and Water. While the users in this Rose are similar to those in the Silver Rose, those in the Blue Rose are known to posses some talent over the weather. This group is composed of all species.
4) The Orange Rose : Similar to the Red Rose, this group is more specific to the generation and manipulation of heat. The members of this Rose are also known for their engineering, blacksmithing and Rune warding skill. This group is composed of all species.
5) The Yellow Rose : Similar to the Blue Rose, the members in this Rose have some control over the weather. However, the wielders in this Rose have a talent of conjuring and manipulating lightning. This group is composed mostly of Non-Humans.
6) The Purple Rose : The powerful members of the Purple Rose have mastery over gravity itself as well as the ability to move things from a distance. The members of this Rose are often recruited into the Grey Order's Army. This group is composed of all species.
7) The Silver Rose : Closely related to the Blue Rose, the Silver Rose is known for its control over ice and snow. Unlike the Blue Rose, the members of this clan are unable to manipulate the weather ; they are able to generate darkness at will however. The members of this group are mostly Human, while Non-Humans are still integrated into it.
8) The White Rose : The powerful members of the White Rose are the most often chosen to move up to higher ranks. They are known for their mysterious abilities to turn themselves and others invisible. They are also blessed with talents of short distance teleportation and the ability to generate temporary barriers. While it is uncommon for all of the members of this Rose to have all of the talents the Rose is known for, it is not uncommon for a member to be able to be able to teleport large distances but only be able to turn invisible for a few seconds.
9) The Colorless Rose : The Colorless Rose is named so for all of its members combined are represented from every other Rose. The group was formed in retaliation of the Human invasion of the Western World. It now encompasses any Non-Human being.
10) The True Rose : This Rose is composed of Humans only. The Humans created this group in outrage of being excluded in how they were being controlled. Because this group encompasses the entire Human race, it is hard to determine what the stand point of a Human is. Some Humans find it offensive to be called an affiliate of the True Rose, while others are proud to be in the True Rose and look down on Non-Humans.
11) The Grey Order : The Grey Order is an organization of twenty-two (22) beings. These twenty-two members are in complete control of the world they live in. There is a member of each color Rose in the Grey Order, while the other twelve are either of the White Rose or of a specific species. Most great crafters and weavers of the world aspire to become a member of the Grey Order... few have managed to join, even fewer have left. The members of the Grey Order seem to live longer, whether it is a magical enchantment or something else, a member of the Grey Order is easily pointed out in a crowd. The extent of the Grey Order's power goes as far as demanding a Rose to change the style of their buildings; it can force them to demolish their structures and rebuild them to whatever specifications they demand. However, it is very rare the Grey Order takes notice of how a specific Rose manages itself. (Most Roses live in more primitive life styles and have a handful of representatives that report to the Order.) The Order caters to the higher class and more powerful beings of the world, if not both. They design all of the world's technology, while not particularly advanced, they are the source of all 'advanced' technology. The world's technology has made a jump from crossbows to weaving magic into metal - enchanted crossbows. While not particularly a huge step, it has led the way for enchanters to make a living, now anything with an enchant on it is instantly top of the line.
