Legendary Pokémon were the apex of the Pokémon world. More than simply brute strength, many of them represented a fundamental concept of existence itself. This could be something as simple as fire and electricity, or a more complicated concept such as gravity or time. Even those legendaries that weren't a direct representation of such things, or represented something more esoteric and intangible, still controlled enormous power - easily enough for each of these mighty Pokémon to be considered a danger on par with a natural disaster. And the Zekrom, Zack, was one such legendary Pokémon. A dragon type Pokémon with immense power both physical and electrical unmatched by all save for his fellow legendary Pokémon.

Which made it all the more infuriating when his fellow members of the Tao trio taunted him for being short.

He wasn't actually short, at least not by human standards. Hell, He wasn't small even by most Pokémon standards! He was easily over nine feet tall and would have towered over nearly any other Pokémon. But even the few Pokémon that were able to outclass him in size would still have little chance in a fight with him. He wasn't even that short compared to the two fellow legendaries that flanked him! Neither Risa, a Reshiram nor Kelly, a Kyruem were more than a foot taller than him. Considering that each of them was closer to ten feet than five, that foot of height wasn't even as noticeable as it might have been for humans comparing their sizes. Yet none of that stopped the two of them from teasing their fellow Tao Trio member about being the shortest of the three. Even a legendary Pokémon's patience could only last for so long under such treatment. And he had been enduring this for longer than he could even remember! It wouldn't be long before the black dragon finally snapped.

"How's the weather down there, short stuff?" Risa teased. A line so cliché and overused both by her and others that the words should have been covered in dust upon leaving her lips.

"Hey, don't be too hard on him," Kelly reprimanded sharply. Despite their chastisement, they were unable to keep a grin off their own muzzle. Then her chastising tone of voice morphed into a teasing tone to match Risa's amid a chorus of barely-suppressed giggles. "It's not his fault he's so tiny."

Untold time enduring such teasing finally boiled over. Zach's claws angrily clenched into fists before finally relaxing a moment later. Zach took a moment to suck in a deep breath then exhale to calm himself. He glared up at Risa for a few silent moments; refusing to try and snap back to their verbal teasing. Then he attacked!

He didn't punch or kick or even blast lightning at her as one might have expected. Instead, the ebony-colored legendary Pokémon grabbed her shoulders. Before she had a chance to process what was happening, she was being tugged downwards and being stuffed face first into Zach's mouth! A constant stream of electrical charge trickled out of both his claws and his lips to paralyze the white legendary, leaving her unable to struggle enough to escape. Zach's jaws stretched wide as she was forced head, then shoulders, then waist down into his mouth, the ebony dragon Pokémon swallowing her down with frightening speed! Then, with a final gulp that seemed to echo across the forest clearing the three were strolling through, her feet disappeared past his lips, and she was gone!

Zach's stomach bulged out obscenely, filled with a Pokémon larger than him and all but pinning him to the ground under its mass and weight. Yet, despite his immobility, the Zekrom could do nothing but sigh in smug satisfaction. Risa's struggles inside his belly felt amazingly good. Surprisingly so! Kelly, on the other hand, had watched the entire event with wide eyes and only recovered from their shock once the deed was already done.

"What in the hell are you doing!? Let her out right now!" they roared, charging at Zach! The ground trembled with every heavy footstep of the near-ton of legendary dragon Pokémon racing towards him. But Zack found himself strangely calm as he watched them approach. Then, right when they were just about to collide with him head first, as if their intent was to force the Reshiram back up his throat, Zack rolled forward to rest on his gut and spread his jaws wide open!

Kelly realized their mistake a moment too late; their momentum already carrying them forward even as they dug their heels into the ground to try and stop themselves. The Zekrom's muzzle engulfed Kelly's head and neck as their own momentum pushed them the first bit of distance down Zack's throat! Once again, an electrical charge from the Zekrom was all it took to paralyze Kelly much like it had Risa; immobilizing their otherwise immense strength and leaving them all but helpless as their fellow Tao Trio member devoured them. When they, too, finally vanished into his gullet, Zack rolled back onto his haunches and let out a tremendous belch that rattled the trees around him!

If he had been overfilled before now his belly was obscenely distended. The massive ball of scale and flesh outsized its owner more than twice over! He wasn't even sure if he could have rolled back on top of it again, or any direction for that matter. Despite his immobility and helplessness, he still couldn't help but come up with a dig and retort to their comments from earlier. "What's that? I can't hear your short jokes from in there!" he taunted, not even sure if they could hear him.

Then he felt something odd. A strange sense of energy and newfound power flooded through him unexpectedly. He raised his arms and clenched his claws but didn't see anything different, other than the wall of stomach blocking most of his view in front of him. It wasn't until he felt the ground buckle underneath him, stone cracking apart without him even moving that he started a notice his surroundings were looking different. More accurately, they were looking smaller.

With each passing second his stomach seemed to dwindle in size. And as it did the trees around him seemed to lower down to meet him. Within the span of a couple minutes his head had risen above the tree line and continued stretching upwards! Zack couldn't even tell if his stomach was actually shrinking or if he was just growing to match it but either way there was no denying the fact that he was growing.

Soon trees were being bulldozed out of the way by his expanding tail, paws, and haunches as he filled the entire clearing and then some! Nearby Pokémon that had been lingering in trees, bushes, or in burrows were forced to turn tail and run as Zack's increasing bulk spread out across the surrounding area. When his growth spurt finally came to a stop the trees around him were only waist high when once they had towered high above him! He also couldn't help but notice that his stomach had returned to its original flat state. In fact, as he thought about it more, he realized that he could no longer feel the struggles of his compatriots inside his stomach. Rather, what he did feel was a sudden, ravenous hunger, his stomach growling angrily at him that it was once again empty.

Despite having been large even in his normal state years of being teased about his size had left Zack a bit bitter. But now that he found himself not only significantly larger than either of them had ever been combined, but also larger than just about any other Pokémon alive, Zack couldn't help but revel in the sense of power and size at his disposal. When he took the first step at his new stature, he felt the ground actually shake, not just slightly vibrate but a full-on localized quake that rattled leaves from nearby trees! Dozens of Pokémon went scampering away from the impact of his massive foot out of fear for being under the next step. For a couple of minutes, the gigantic Zekrom was happy to play around with his new size and the enormous raw strength that came with it. But it wasn't long before the novelty wore off. More importantly, his newfound hunger refused to be ignored any longer.

He wanted more.

It was then that he heard a familiar roar echo through the forest. It had never scared him even before he had grown into a titanic force of nature, but he had always respected its intimidating volume and power. But now, the roar of the powerful saurian Tyrantrum was almost laughable at his new size. The deep, thundering bellow was almost quiet and high-pitched from his new lofty perspective. Without hesitation Zack turned towards the source of the roar and started lumbering his way towards it. Part of him was eager to enjoy another snack, Tyrantrum being one of the larger Pokémon besides himself and his fellow legendaries in the forest. But there was also a part of him that simply wanted to enjoy towering so much over a Pokémon that had already been a bit short compared to him before.

Luckily for him, the Tyrantrum was not used to being hunted. Nor was it used to there being many things louder than he was. So, when the approaching rumble and crashing of the gigantic Zekrom's footsteps met his ears the saurian Pokémon turned to the oncoming challenge head on with an aggressive, belligerent snarl - a snarl that left their face and throat and turned into an unfamiliar wave of fear and dread when a foot big enough to pin their whole body to the ground crashed through the tree line and slammed down directly in front of them!

The Tyrantrum barely had a chance to look up to see the entirety of the massive legendary Pokémon in front of them before a huge black claw grabbed them in a fist like they were little more than a toy. Any attempts the dinosaur-like monster made to escape Zack's gigantic fingers were completely futile; the legendary Pokémon didn't even feel the Tyrantrum's struggling. Zack's prey found themselves held in front of Zack's gigantic face, an enormous cocky grin filling their vision. Then the grin split open and the Tyrantrum yelped as it was casually tossed inside of a mouth big enough to swallow them whole!

After that Zack's feeding frenzy truly began. He lumbered, smashing trees out of his path as if they were budding saplings and devoured any Pokémon he could get his hands on. More often than not, the gigantic legendary simply scooped entire trees or chunks of ground where Pokémon had been hiding and tossed everything into his mouth, giving them no room or chance to escape. It didn't matter what he devoured because his stomach seemed able to handle it. If anything, all the additional mass being tossed into it only made his stomach crave more which was a simple enough request; so, he gave it more, going on a tear throughout the park.

Before long, his stomach had once again begun to distend from the sheer volume of both Pokémon and landscape that had been stuffed into it. It didn't get quite as big as his first meal as there simply weren't enough Pokémon of sufficient size to properly fill him up and give him that kind of obscene stretch. But soon enough, he was satiated if not fully satisfied. Rubbing a clawed hand over his distended stomach, Zack let out a contented sigh of satisfaction at his feeling of fullness and relief. But then, like before, with a violent belch his stomach began to rapidly deflate. And as it flattened, he once again began to expand even larger, first dozens of feet, then hundreds more piling onto his already massive form with every passing second!

This time, it wasn't his legs, hips, and tail smashing trees out of their way but rather just the expansive and swelling soles of his feet all by themselves! Soon the tops of the trees didn't come up to his knees, then even his ankles as Zack stretched higher and higher into the sky. Nearby Pokémon flying through the air were forced to dive out of the way as they found themselves suddenly met with a gigantic set of squinting draconic eyes stretching into the sky to meet them, then just as quickly rise above them. While he grew, his body absorbed not just the mass but the power of all the Pokémon he had devoured, too! His features even began to change as he feasted on some of their traits as well as their strength.

Zack's muzzle became a bit thicker and more blunted like the Tyrantrum's. His body thickened and spread itself out. The Zekrom didn't so much getting heftier or more muscular but rather his proportions adjusted to give him a girthy, almost pseudo-humanoid upper body. His tail whipped out behind him as it elongated and became more serpentine. The spiked, almost drill-like tip of his tail morphed and reshaped itself into something akin to a bony, spiked collar wrapped around the lower end of his tail. The mutating legendary Pokémon even grew a thick mane of hair, colored a darker shade of black than the rest of him, around his neck and shoulders. And all the while, as his body reshaped itself, Zack could feel himself continuing to grow bigger and more powerful with each passing second!

Before this new growth spurt had fully run its course the titanic, evolving and mutating legendary Pokémon turned its attention towards the nearby human city. Zack was so massive he could see miles and miles into the distance, already a small mountain in his own right. The trees didn't even come up to the tops of his toes anymore down below and his feet were so large a single toe could have covered the original clearing where his life had changed forever with room to spare. So, when he began walking towards the nearby city it didn't take him long to get there, his long strides covering hundreds of feet in seconds.

The inhabitants had ample warning of the titanic Pokémon's approach. Even if the human population hadn't bothered looking up to see the living ebony colossus approaching, none of them could have missed the thunderous footsteps shaking the Earth beneath them and threatening to shake their buildings apart. Many tried to evacuate, trying to escape the city and get as far away as possible. If you could call a panicked mob stampeding over one another in an attempt to get out of the city an evactuation. Others valiantly moved to stand their ground and made their way into the nearby plains between the forest and city. The fully intended to to attempt to do battle with Zack in hopes of saving their city. Not that you could call their attempted attacks on the titanic legendary a "battle".

Tens, then hundreds of Pokémon belonging to Pokémon trainers were released from their Pokéballs and sent forth to attack the titan. Bolts of lightning, blasts of fire, spikes of ice, and jets of water all bombarded the Zekrom from every direction! But, much to the increasing horror of the trainers, Zack didn't even seem to feel any of it. In fact, he barely noticed the dozens of Pokémon fluttering around him or scampering down at his feet. But when Zack did notice, his lips pulled back into a terrifying grin. How could he say no to such freely-offered sacrifices.

His jaws shot forward with the speed of a striking cobra and engulfed a dozen flying Pokémon in an instant. He barely even felt the specks traveling down his throat when he swallowed but savored their energies all the same. Grinning, he lowered down to his hands and knees so he could get his head closer to the ground. A tongue wider than a city street swept across the landscape and lapped up dozens of ground-bound Pokémon and their trainers in the process before they too vanished down his increasingly massive throat.

Just when human population was beginning to despair, they received help from an unexpected source. Zack's unnatural increase of power head been like a signal to the rest of the universe and drawn the other legendary Pokémon to try their hand at stopping him once and for all. More than a dozen of them rushed in from multiple directions, blasting him with far stronger attacks! A Zapdos flew forth and summoned True Lightning to shower Zack with massive bolts of electricity while Entei called forth an Eruption to shower the ever-growing Zekrom in enormous, superheated torrents of magma! Unfortunately, as it became clear to everyone watching the battle unfold on television sets the world over, they weren't very effective. The other legendaries realized far too late that even they were no longer a match for the titanic Zekrom.

The legendary birds were not so much swallowed as inhaled. Zack simply opened his mouth and sucked in a breath and the torrential vortex of air pulled all of them into his mouth to vanish down his throat. Many of the land-bound ones were scooped up in a Titanic black hand along with a mountainous chunk of the ground itself and shoveled into his mouth like sprinkles on a cupcake. They had barely hit the bottom of his stomach before Zack felt a new surge of power unlike any up to this point. Even the hundreds of normal Pokémon Zack had devoured thus far were nothing compared to energy of more than a dozen legendary Pokémon. This time when he grew it wasn't so much a gradual swelling of size as it was a devastating explosion of mass!

In the span of a single footstep Zack expanded so quickly that the foot which had started off a dozen strides away from the city suddenly slammed down over the entirety of that city and two more several miles away! The next step from the titanic Zekrom saw an entire mountain range flattened into a lake-sized footprint! But to Zack, it felt like he had stepped on little more than a small pile of sand. Within moments clouds were rushing past his face as he swelled above the skyline and towards the upper portions of the atmosphere.

On a nearby island Palkia and Dialga, two of the most powerful legendary Pokémon, felt the preternatural disturbance Zack's explosion of strength created. The two cosmic Pokémon rushed in the direction of the energy signature to investigate only to find themselves floating like tiny, inconsequential specks in front of a titanic ebony muzzle that could devour mountains like finger food. Neither had a chance to unleash their powers over time and space respectively when faced with the monstrosity that the Zekrom had become. Both legendary Pokémon felt hurricane-shaming forces of wind whip around them with enough force that even they were unable to resist its pull! Much to their combined horror, both found that the simple act of the Zekrom's breathing created such force that both were inhaled into Zack's seemingly endless maw before they had a chance to resist. When they, too, vanished into the endless chasm of his gullet, their addition to Zack's already out-of-control power only made his cataclysmic growth that much faster and more intense.

Within two steps of devouring the two apex legendary Pokémon, Zekrom had grown so large that the foot that just before had smothered three entire cities beneath its massive size was now covering entire regions instead of cities! The ground cracked and splintered under his weight as if it were nothing more than dried mud and released magma from below the ground to rush up from between his toes and pool around the soles of his feet. It didn't escape Zack's notice that the scorching molten rock had no more effect on him than if he had stepped in a puddle of warm water. He wasn't even trying to do damage at this point. But he had become so powerful that just a single footstep could not only reshape but actually destroy the land itself! Such cataclysmic power was enough to draw even the attention of the mighty Arceus himself. However, when the divine Pokémon materialized high above the atmosphere even their enormous form, large enough to cover an entire region all on its own, was small enough to fit in the palm of Zack's hand.

Arceus exerted their divine power over reality itself to strip Zack of the overload of power that was surging through him. However, Zack had become so powerful by this point that trying to drain all that energy from him was like trying to push a boulder up a hill. The god Pokémon could have done it with enough time, that much was certain. But even for his expansive capabilities, it was like trying to drain a bathtub of water with a coffee mug. And Arceus did not have long enough to complete the task. The time it took for Zack to scoop Arceus up out of the air and stuff them into his mouth was nowhere near enough time. So Arceus ended up Just like all the others who had come to oppose the growing, evolving Pokémon. His attempts to stop the growing titan, too, failed miserably and even the divine pokemon creator vanished into Zack's cavernous maw. In moments they had gone from the most powerful legendary pokemon into existence to little more than additional fuel to feed the Zekrom's expansion and facilitate Zack's deification.

With a fresh influx of legendary Pokémon energy came a fresh explosion of growth - by far the largest and most intense that the Zekrom had experienced to date! When Zack tried to take his next step, he simply fell off the planet as his mass sharply exceeded its own! He watched with wide eyes and an almost manic glee as the planet seemed to shrink before him. Within moments it was the size of a beach ball...then a basketball...then a baseball. However, eventually his growth spurt had to come to an end, and by that point the entire planet fit between two of the enormous, overpowered Zekrom's fingers like it were a piece of candy. And Zack knew exactly what to do with something the size of a piece of candy... he ate it.

With no more ceremony than what one would give to a chicken nugget they just popped the planet he up until that moment called home back into his jaws and swallowed it down. Zack then turned his attention elsewhere. Already his stomach was growling hungrily and even as his body once again began to expand outward into space from the entire planet he had just devoured he found himself craving more. He didn't know what his next meal would be or if he would even find another satisfying morsel at this size. But he at least knew one thing.

No one would ever call him short again.
