#4 of Watcher of Arceus : The World of Arceus

Watchers, the direct descendants of Arceus herself, sets of twins born with her power. But the world is large, and there are more stories then just those of her direct children. As times have changed, their history has been forgotten, and time has moved on. These are some of the other stories that have already or are taking place in a vast world that The World Mother has made. This is the story of Norva and her trainer Malcolm.

Norva : Part 3

Things continued to get more complicated, and there were reports of a dozen new arrests on the islands, and then just this morning, there was a notice put out to all residents to report any talk of "ballsy trainers" asking about the Elemental Islands, which extra Orange Island Pokemon Rangers were now being sent to Shamouti Island to help out with.

Thankfully, there were no real incidents on the Elemental Islands themselves, or at least none had been reported so far. Malcolm was finishing up his daily news read when there was a knock at the door, which he found a little odd. Norva seemed entirely oblivious to it. Reaching over and pulling out his stun baton from its holster on the kitchen cabinet, he approached the door slowly, before suddenly opening the door with it raised.

"I suggest you put the baton down, sir." One of two men stated looking him over, Malcolm lowering the baton, but giving them both a very confused look.

"Uh... wait, sorry sorry. Ummm... is, was there a dark type pokemon out here? Or was that you knocking?" Malcolm asked very much confused, just setting the baton down on the corner table by the door, then starting to step outside.

There were two men standing outside his door, well dressed in suits, fancy business hats of some kind that he couldn't really name, and long coats.

"Its just us. Mr. Malcolm Silverwinds I presume?" The older of the two men asked.

"And... you are?" Malcolm asked a bit confused still.

"Investigating the disturbance at The Halmin Beachside Bakery on the East Thunderstone Pier of Halmin Island." The first one stated.

"Can I see some police identification please." Malcolm asked after a few seconds.

"We're not working in an official capacity with the Orange Island Police Force, they're a little busy at the moment. We've been hired on behalf of the Bert and Tonya's Legal Offices to try and sort some details out." The first one stated, pulling out a few images, taken from security cameras.

"There was a sighting of a shiny gardevoir at the time of incident. We're just following up on any leads, and want to just be sure that you weren't involved." The second man stated.

"Yeah, that uh Thomas kid, Thomas... Falstone? Someone was seen with him as he walked down the dock, Thomas had his shiny lucario out and this other person who is rumored to have been with him had a shiny gardevoir. Really made a scene on that one. Still... stopped a robbery without anyone getting hurt though." Malcolm stated.

"We'd like to come in and talk about it, and where you were on the sixteenth please." The first man asked again.

"I'd really like to see some kind of identification please." Malcolm repeated, but the two men just seemed a bit annoyed.

"We're just trying to do our job, sir. We just want to make sure that you or your gardevoir weren't involved. We've got a lot of questions for the boy who was at the bakery. He's in a bit of legal trouble and we're just trying to find him." The first one stated again.

"If we could just step inside, we can sort this out quickly." The second one noted, trying to take a step forward, but Malcolm just closed the screen door.

"Not without some kind of identification. There's a lot of strange things going on lately." Malcolm stated firmly now.

"Please don't make this hard on yourself, sir. We're just trying to do our job. The sooner you answer our questions, the sooner we can leave." The second man replied.

"I'm not answering anything without some identification." Malcolm quickly stated again, more firmly.

"We already told. We're investigating the disturbance on Hamlin Island on behalf of our clients working with Burt and Tonya's Legal Offices." The first replied.

"No identification, no warrant, no answers. Get off my porch." Malcolm commanded now, only to the table thud a bit behind him. He quickly turned and saw that Norva still had her headphones on, seeming to be oblivious to things still as she was rubbing her side, having caught the side the table and fell over.

"Norva? You okay?" He stated rushing back into house to help her up, and as soon as he did, the two men just tried to follow along. Malcolm ready helped up Norva, only to turn back towards the door and the two men were inside.

"Get out!" Malcolm snapped now. "You're tresspassing."

"Door was open." The first man stated, reaching into his coat for something.

This was the first that Norva heard of any company though, rapidly pulling off her headphones.

"Like hell it was, I know I flipped it closed as soon as I was through." Malcolm countered.

"Now then, the sooner we get through our questions, the sooner we can be on our way." The first man stated, and now Norva seemed to panic. She heard the voices, and was rapidly looking around. She could feel Malcolm there, she could feel where he was, and yet there was nothing, no other minds presents besides his in the house. But there were voices, other voices, and foot steps, a few extra creaks of where someone was, but there was no mind.

She started to panic wondering if she was going mad, or if she was losing another sense and tried to push herself backwards. "Hey hey, calm down. Its just me and two bastards. Norva... Norva, what's wrong?" Malcolm stated, before turning back.

"Out! Now you two bastards!" Malcolm yelled out.

"As soon as you an-" The first one started, but Malcolm cut him off.

"CREE!" Malcolm screamed out and in an instant, the second man was knocked to the ground when a luxray rushed into the house, jumping up and tackling the second man to get between Malcolm and two men, giving a loud roaring hiss, sparks dancing over his form to show aggressive and that he was serious with bared teeth and claws.

The second man easily picked himself up, and both were both for pokeballs themselves now, calling out a pair of mightyena, who both starting snarling as well. The two men quickly stepped to the sides leaving their pokemon in the middle of the room.

"You should've just have cooperated boy." The first man stated, only for the two mightyena to yelp out. A machamp had grabbed them both by the tails and with a hard toss, threw both of them through the front wall of the house and outside, one landing hard and rolling several feet across the sand, the other landing with a hard thud denting the car in the drive that belonged to the men.

The two men quickly drew weapons now, short swords to defend themselves, only for a voice to call out.

"Quads, drop em both." Jordan ordered, and his machamp did was he was told. The first man tried to stab him, only have his entire arm grabbed with one arm, while another arm grabbed his waist and bashed his head into the ceiling, knocking off his hat, and the tiara hidden underneath, before he was slammed into floor. The second man managed to jab Quads in the gut, but only weakly before he was slapped to the side, Quads giving a loud cry, a rather angry one with only a bit of pain.

Quads then threw the first man into the second, both of the smashing through some cabinets, but Quads wasn't done yet. It was clear that was still restraining himself, picking up one of the short swords and just snapping the blade free from the hilt as the two men were getting back up.

Reaching down, he picked up the second short sword as well, and snapped it in front of the faces of the two men, while using his lower arms to grab the two men and lift them up. He slammed them back hard into the cabinets again to prove a point, before using his upper arms to wrap around their throats as Jordan walked in.

"You three okay?" He demanded looking to Norva was looking a little more calm now, finally able to feel the minds of everyone inside. Still, for her to just entirely miss two minds, it had entirely unnerved her. She finally let Malcolm pull her up to her feet though as she looked around.

"I hope you two have deep pockets... but I'm taking you two for every last penny you own for this." Jordan stated as he walked in, cellphone already in hand.

"I've got an emergency situation at the 6690 West Beach Lane. Two armed assailants just broke into a beach home I'm renting and attacked the residents with swords and pokemon. Yes I said swords. Well they clearly aren't knives... hurry up and get some officers down here damnit! And bring an ambulance and paramedics, including pokemon paramedics. Don't argue with me about the idea of someone using a sword, get down here now or I'm adding your name to the lawsuit to cover the damages involved with this attack!" Jordan snapped.

"You three, get in the back, I'll handle this." Jordan quickly stated as he walked up and looking them over. Turning around, he quickly saw one of the mightyena's trying to rush back in, but Quads was already on top of it and threw a table at it as it tried to tackle Jordan. The table landed hard and caught it mid air, slamming both the mightyena and the table into the wall and breaking the television, but also knocking out the mightyena in full.

"Sorry about the house and mess, I'll cover the price of replacements until these two pay for every last penny and then some." Jordan stated, walking up and pulling out a camera.

"You have no idea what you just fucked with." The older of the two men stated, only for Jordan to walk up.

"Oh please do enlighten me." Jordan snapped back, slowly walking up now while looking something up with his phone.

"Shut it." The other man stated as Jordan walked up.

"Is there something you want to say or not." Jordan asked more firmly.

"You'll burn for this. In the name of Arceus, you'll burn for this." The former man stated.

"Shut up." The second replied or tried to more forcefully, even kicking the first, Quads squeezing their chests a bit more and quickly holding them away from each other.

Malcolm while interested himself in what was being said had other obligations. Norva was still panicking, having picked up the only thing she could grab, the remote to the sound systems in the house and was trying to wield it like a stick, a shadow ball slowly charging in her other hand out of panic.

"Norva. Norva, calm down, easy!" Malcolm cried out and hugged her deeply, knowing that she knew it would be him. Picking her up and moving quickly into the back, he moved all the way to the back of the house, the storage room where it would be quietest for now.

Setting her down on the spare couch in the back, Norva didn't seem to want to let him go right now. "It's okay, it will all be fine. What's wrong?" Malcolm asked deeply concerned, motioning for Cree to jump up.

Cree quickly got the idea and jumped up onto the couch, nuzzling Norva and she practically grabbed him right now, feeling frantically over him, making sure that she knew he was there, a hand fully over his spine, carefully tracing his bones and muscles.

"What... what happened to you?" Malcolm asked deeply concerned, only to pull out his cellphone.

"Hey... hey Professor Ivy. Find her, I need to talk with her. Now! Yes now, Norva just had some kind of panic attack, she never felt some fucking assailants entering the property and she's going crazy over it! Look Frank, you owe me for the electrical work on the lab. You go find her and have her call me now, or that's the last fucking time I save your ass when you fuck up the lab again." Malcolm snapped on the phone, only for Norva to suddenly jerk him over, feeling over him now just like she had done with Cree.

"Oh Norva... Norva, what happened to you?" Malcolm stated, quickly just hugging her and holding her tightly.

~xXx~

"By Arceus, what on the islands could have happened here!" A loud female voice called out. "Malcolm. Malcolm!" A voice called out, waking up Malcolm and Norva both with a bit of a start.

Norva instantly tried reaching out and she quickly found minds this time, three of them. Cree was still on the bed with her and Malcolm, and there was another mind in the junked mess of the living room.

"I forgot to tell Christina about the mess...." Malcolm grumbled, it having been three days since the attack and while she knew about that something had happened, she hadn't been back to see Malcolm and Norva since their talk while she tied up with other things.

"Back here." Malcolm called out as he sat up, slowly getting off the bed.

"You said that you got attacked, not half the house was ripped open." Christina practically yelled out as she ran up knocked on the door.

"Its open... and most of that was Quads. Those fuckers actually called out pokemon to assault me in my own home, and not even some maybe we want you alive. Quads would have stopped with throwing the their pokemon out the door, but then ... and I'm being serious here ... they pulled out swords, like two foot long metal swords like pirates or something." Malcolm sighed.

"And I thought I had it rough. What are you still doing here? Why aren't you in the camper that Jordon loaned you?" Christina asked.

"Because Norva... something happened to her. She never noticed the two men, and not feeling them until they were inside attack us, she went into a panic attack. Professor Ivy says she still the one of the strongest psychic types that she has ever met, that she should still feel just about everything. The only thing that she can't focus in on are dark types unless they want her to. But something about those men surprised her entirely." Malcolm stated, Norva still holding onto Cree some, but looking towards Malcolm and Christina.

"How could she miss them if they were inside with you?" Christina asked.

"I don't know... but she's been on edge ever since. Professor Ivy thought that maybe staying in her own bed would help, familiar surroundings and all that. It kinda has... I hope. Well, at least she slept better last night once the police finally let us back in. She's still antsy, but she's not panicking." Malcolm replied.

"How... fast will the new set of construction be done?" Christina asked.

"A week, two tops." Malcolm said, knowing that this time there wasn't going to be any cheap repairs.

"A week? For just you and Jordon to fix that?" Christina asked.

"For Susan to fix it, on rush order. Crew shows up tomorrow since the police finally closed the scene yesterday. I decided to risk spending the night here to help Norva and it seems to have helped since I was allowed back inside. The whole front room is getting replaced. Jordan decided to even just have they put up two extra buildings while we at it. That will take a little longer, but the house will be done fast." Malcolm sided as Norva got up.

She seemed irritated at Christina, before walking up slowly towards her. "Oh... uh. Get ready I guess?" Malcolm stated.

"Get... ready?" Christina asked a bit confused, Norva slowly reaching out and then feeling Christina, slowly took her hand and started to fell over her chest a bit, and then her back and sides, and head.

"Norva? You... you okay there? You're not going to hurt me right?" Christina asked, rather confused and fairly worried.

"I don't think she will, but she's been very feely with everyone she knows in the past few days. I think its her making sure that she knows who is who. Professor Ivy thinks that its to make sure she's not losing her her senses, whatever it was that she "sees" with her mind since she got blinded." Malcolm stated, blushing a bit and quickly turning away when Norva patted down Christina's chest fully now.

"What... Norva please, not there. I'm tender there okay!" Christina gasped out, blushing madly herself, trying to gently grab Norva's hands and gently pull them off her breasts.

Norva seemed rather irritable about it, but did stop though, pulling her hands free and then just gently feeling the sides of her head, before letting her go.

"So... I still got the list of things you wanted for your room here, if you still want to move in, just a minor change of plans. Norva kinda wants me to share her room now, and that will give you my old room. And we'll still have a spare room eitherway, Jordan is having Susan build a small green house for our little garden, and putting up a workshop here." Malcolm stated slowly.

"Wow... Jordan's treating you nice." Christina said after a moment of shocked silence.

"I think this is more the equivalent of Jordan throwing things... like a temper tantrum right now. I mean I'm happy that two guys who assaulted me are getting what's coming to them, and Jordan is taking them for every last penny they have for the rest of their lives, but I think its more him being... nice to be to feel better about himself, or just in general." Malcolm replied, following Norva slowly out into the main room, making sure she didn't trip over anything.

"So, what held you up? Thought you were going to be out here a few days ago to drop off some things." Malcolm asked, gently guiding Norva through the mess and out onto the porch.

"Dear old dad tried to pay me a visit. Decided to set up a P.O. Box and didn't want to come out here too quickly just to be safe. Oh and my lawyers gave me a nice gift. My address is now privileged information and I got a restraining order on him and Dovin. He really needs to watch that temper, tried to start a shouting match with a judge. Nice bonus when the judge rushed that through." Christina smirked.

"And I thought that my family was messed up, but man are you giving me a run for the title of fucked up families." Malcolm laughed a bit.

"I'll just be happy when it gets sorted out and I can get my inheritance. My lawyer said it might still be five or six years before I can tap it, but I'll hopefully be able to get access to my inheritance for things like schooling by then, or maybe a lot sooner but no promises on when. Of course, I can't get the rest of it until he drinks himself to death, but hey, if I can get out from under him which will be easier now, all the better." Christina stated, following along.

"I do have somethings to put in the shed if you're still willing to let me stay until I'm on my own feet again." She added, calling out Mr. Pipez.

"Sure thing. Just as long as these two get along." Malcolm stated, Norva quickly turning at the sound of a pokeball, quickly facing Mr. Pipez.

"Mr. Pipez... be nice, someone tried to do some bad things here. Norva... she's a little out of it at the moment. Can she just feel you for a moment... and NO, no teasing her right... now..." Christina stated, Mr. Pipez's ears slowly dropping and giving a slow whine, a loud chuu of worry.

[Norva... you okay there.] Mr. Pipez asked, already feeling how worried and uneasy Norva was.

[Someone attacked us. There were people in my house! And I couldn't feel them. Humans, they just barged right in, attacked us, and I never knew until Malcolm starting screaming at them, and then I heard them. I never felt them until after Quads came in saved us. And even then, I only eventually felt one of them.] Norva stated, looking down to Mr. Pipez, wildly motioning around behind her, towards the mess of the house.

[They attacked us, I felt intent to kill, they drew weapons and stabbed Quads before I knew what was going on. And they were there for me! Because I'm a shiny gardevoir, and someone else had one, so they wanted to come after me! And I was helpless like that.] Norva yelled.

"Norva, Norva, calm down." Malcolm stated, rushing over and holding her, Norva letting him hold her and just leaning into his chest.

"Geez, something really messed her up. I've never seen her so worked up like this." Christina gasped out, Norva grumbling, but turning around and facing Malcolm. Norva took a few deep breathes, and then looking right towards him, pulling up her hands. She held one wide open, and then tapped her hips, before tapping her open palm.

"It should be in its proper place." Malcolm stated, looking over, taking her hand and walking over her to a chair, gently putting her hand on it. "Your seat got broken sorry, you'll have to use mine, but I hope I put it in the right spot." Malcolm stated.

Norva grumbled again, but felt around a little, not finding the table but at least sitting down after a moment. "Table to got smashed too when Quads threw those mightyena through the wall, sorry." Malcolm stated, Christina and Mr. Pipez following them to the bench against the porch rail.

"Any idea why Norva didn't feel them before hand?" Christina asked.

"Not a clue. She's even felt some dark types before, but those two, they were completely unnoticed. It wasn't until they barged in after us and we started shouting at each that she even took off her headphones." Malcolm sighed.

Mr. Pipez just kept lightly whining though, slowly moving into the wrecked house.

"I know why she's panicking then. To think that however she sees the world... and then maybe going blind twice?" Christina stated. "Hey... how about we, I don't know, take a break over on Halmin Island for a day at some point. There's that pokemon spa that might help Norva relax." She suggested.

"I don't know. Norva's always been a little reserved about being touched too much every since she lost her eyes. She's really big on washing herself and not letting others do it for her." Malcolm explained.

"Yeah, I would say that's fairly true. Well, maybe not the spa, but something... oh, I know. There's a new barbecue shop that just opened up like a few streets down from my apartment. I could get one of their variety packs and we could invite Jordan and a few others over to try em out. Bragg and Bert raise kingler and swear on barbecued crab, we could put it to the test beside some pork and maybe chicken?" Christina offered, while Mr. Pipez slowly came back now.

[Norva... I found something. You like crowns right? I found this one under the house, it had to be buried there, but the fight must have unburied it.] Mr. Pipez stated walking up with a silver tiara.

[You're still a champion, would you like this crown?] Mr. Pipez asked, walking up holding the strange piece of head gear, gently pushing it into Norva's hand.

"Wait a minute... that's... those two guys from yesterday were wearing those. Well, one was for sure." Malcolm stated as Norva slowly felt around the strange thing. It as smooth and fully circular, no real style to it, and without being able to see it, feeling it only went so far.

[Its just a circle.] Norva stated, unable to really say much about it.

[But it's fancy looking silver, with what looks like gold lining. It one of those head things that winner's get for doing a good job.] Mr. Pipez continued.

"What would two guys being wearing that for..." Christina asked, only for Norva to lightly shake her head.

[Thanks... but I'd rather have a crown, after I win one.] Norva stated, slowly handing it back, but at least being gentle, and even rubbing Mr. Pipez's ears lightly. [Maybe your trainer would like it better.]

Mr. Pipez nodded lightly, letting Norva rub his ears for a moment, and when she was done, turned back towards Christina.

Mr. Pipez now slowly offered it to her, and Christina just look it, looking it over. "I've never seen a design like this. Its finely polished, and looks like glass coated? What's that golden looking material though?" Christina asked looking it over. "It almost looks like its wiring or something with how it was laid out."

"Reminds of me some of those runic patterns in a few games I play." Malcolm stated. "Hmm... actually no, it looks more like a orokin script actually."

"Orokin script? You some kind of dead language specialist without telling me?" Christina asked.

"A game I play, shooter. Orokin were really big on beauty and had really fancy letters for their written words. Those tilts and curves remind me a lot of it their script." Malcolm stated.

"I'll take your word for it." Christina stated, only for Mr. Pipez to gently motion towards his head and wanted to see her try it on. "Oh alright." Christina stated and lifted it over her head, slowly putting it on.

The second that it even started to sit on her head though, Norva quickly turned to face Christina, almost jumping out of the chair and moving forward, quickly reaching for Christina.

"Wha- Hey! You okay there?" Christina started.

Norva quickly found and grabbed Christina though, and pulled her in close.

[How are doing that! How are you hiding from me!] Norva yelled at Christina, while Malcolm got up and held Norva.

"Norva, its okay!" Malcolm yelled out, really holding her now as Mr. Pipez hopped up on his tail and grabbed the tiara now, pulling that off Christina.

As soon as it was off, Novra stopped, still holding onto Christina a bit, but Mr. Pipez just held the tiara.

[It wasn't her... it was that crown. I couldn't feel her either.] Mr. Pipez stated still floating on his tail next to Christina as Norva slowly let her go.

"What's going on... Norva its me okay. I'm right here, I'm allowed to be here..." Christina stated softly.

[That... that circle hid her from me...] Norva said slowly.

[Yeah. She put it on and her thoughts were closed to me, like she wasn't there.] Mr. Pipez stated. [I could see her, but I couldn't feel her at all.]

[Let me have that thing again.] Norva stated, rather firmly now holding out her hand, and Mr. Pipez handed it too her. Meanwhile Christina and Malcolm were just heavily confused.

"Norva... you okay there?" Malcolm asked rather worried as Norva gripped the circle firmly, feeling over it again.

[What kind of decorations does it have? Color, and pattern? It feels cool to the touch, not very heat conductive, glass maybe?] Norva asked feeling over it fully and slowly.

[Uh, well it looks like glass, or shines like a glass bottle, but I think its only coated in it. There's a lot of silver color under the glass, so maybe metal, and what looks like a bright yellow material, maybe gold? It looks funny, like the inside of a computer, lots of lines and a few dots.] Mr. Pipez replied. [Malcolm mentioned writing, but I don't see any, just a collection of curvy lines with ups and downs and a few notches along it.]

Norva nodded as she continued to feel over it, only to suddenly turn to face Malcolm. She quickly tapped her lips, and then his before holding up the tiara.

"Uh, well its a piece of headgear. Its silver, maybe glassed? And gold patterns." Malcolm stated, slowly taking it, or as much as Norva would allow, refusing to let it go. He could turn in her hands, and tilt it back and forth to get a better look, but Norva just refused to let it go.

"Malcolm... what's with her? Is... can Professor Ivy do anything for her? She's the foremost expert of pokemon on the islands, and I know you help out with wiring in her labs. Has she said anything about this?" Christina asked.

"Well, she doesn't have any immediate clues about why this happened. Norva can even follow some dark types, so she can't figure out why she couldn't feel those two men who attacked us. Every sensory test that she could do, Norva passed, even better then usual. She could track a mind well past a hundred feet now and through pretty much any material. We don't have a clue why-" Malcolm started, only for Norva to push a finger to his mouth, getting him to be silent now.

Curious and a bit worried, he just stopped talking now, as Norva took a few deep breathes. Even Mr. Pipez got very close now seeming to get follow whatever Norva was thinking as she held the tiara up.

[You really want to put that on him? Will you be okay if he vanishes from your senses?] Mr. Pipez asked very worried.

[I have to know if this is how they hid from me... It took me years to adjust to living without eyes, but I cant live without feeling others. If this is why I can't feel them, then I know... And if I know, I can train for it. I won't be stripped of my senses again.] Norva stated firmly, taking Malcolm's hand and holding it tightly, still just holding the tiara over his head.

"Norva... you, you sure you're okay there?" Malcolm asked, and then Norva just placed the tiara on his head. At once, his thoughts and mind vanished to her too, but she still held firmly onto his hand, knowing he was there. It was hard, she gave an unwelcome shiver, almost ripping the tiara off of him, but held it there for a moment.

"Novra! Careful, what's-" Malcolm started, but Norva just slowly removed the tiara and it was clear again.

[Its this thing... This thing, it hides minds.] Norva quickly stated turning towards Mr. Pipez again who nodded.

[I could see him, but I couldn't feel him.] Mr. Pipez added.

"How does that thing have them in such a fuss?" Christina asked, only for Mr. Pipez to take the tiara and rush over to Christina.

[This thing bad! Its bad! Very Bad! Only bad people use this thing! Never wear it again!] Mr. Pipez shouted, and while he knew that Christina wouldn't directly understand him, the fit the throwing over the tiara, whipping it around and almost smashing it into the wall and railing, and his sparking cheeks made the point.

"Whatever it is, I think that they hate it. The last time Mr. Pipez threw this kind of fit was when the washer ruined his favorite ball cap when he was still a pikachu."

[Careful! Don't smash it yet, I need that. I can't train against it if its broken.] Norva stated, sort of seeing Mr Pipez flailing around while holding something that she though was the tiara he took out of her hands.

[I'm not going to break it... I was just making a point for CeeCee.] Mr. Pipez stated, turning back towards Norva as she stood up and offered it to her again, gently putting it back in her hand. [You sure that you can defeat it?]

[I've gotten to the point I can track some dark types even... I refuse to let some humans pretend to hide from me.] Norva stated firmly, turning back towards Malcolm again.

"Norva." Malcolm stated, unsure at all what to do right now, just confused by things as he gently took the tiara again.

"Is... is this how they hid from you?" Malcolm asked, gently reaching for the tiara and giving a small tug on it, with also taking her hand that held it. Norva just nodded though as she turned to face him. She grabbed his arm and hand hard again, and then lifted the tiara up high, taking several deep breathes.

"Please don't hurt yourself. I don't know what its doing to you, but please, don't hurt yourself." Malcolm begged a bit, willing to try and trust her right now as it was placed slow on his head and he could see her almost panicking again, but still let him wear for a moment, trying to find him even with it on before rapidly removing it again.

~xXx~

"Well... I don't know how it works, but I know what it is." Professor Ivy stated, opening up the case and looking over the tiara. "You said that you think that this was what hid those assailants from Norva?" She asked.

"I think it was. Mr. Pipez found it under the house yesterday. He tried to give it Norva, and then she gave it back to him, so Mr. Pipez gave it to Christina and when she put it on, Norva got all angry and grabbed her after rushing to where she was. They talked some more and then she forced it on my head and she almost lost it again. I mean she was holding my hand when she did it, but her grip got all tight and then with my hand practically forced and held to her chest, I could feel her heart beat jump a bit. I even asked her about if it might have hid them and she nodded." Malcolm stated.

"You said you know it is though?" Malcolm asked.

"Yes, or at least I know what the metal is. Its a very high value and pure dusk stone alloy. But I've never seen it used like this before. High grade fire stones make exceptionally strong and heat resistant metals, thunder stones make up a vast number of various capacitors, and even water stone alloys are used in construction for the foundations of docks or other things that intend to be under water for long periods of time. You can do the same thing with dusk stone, but its a slow thing to alloy and there's been so few practical purposes for it that it's never really be studied much." Professor Ivy replied picking it up and looking it over carefully. "I'll run a quick test just to be sure though." She set it down on a small tray, slid that into a compartment and brought up a few windows on her computer to start the test.

It was very quick to do and sure enough, she was right. "Well, its definitely primarily made of dusk stone but that's all I can tell right away. The rest of the scan will take about an hour. I image there is some kind of glaze like you'd put on a ceramic pot to help strengthen it or something to keep it from chipping easily and smooth out the sides, and that looks like gold, but I'm not sure about much else."

"How do you know so much about dusk stone?" Malcolm asked, a bit curious wondering about it since it was a rather rare thing, Malcolm only thinking of three pokemon that even had an interaction with the stone.

"I did a small thesis on the applications of elemental stone alloyed metals for college and how they could be used in daily life. Dusk stone was one that I really had to rack my brain to find any good uses for, but its not like anything came to mind. Its a relatively weak metal, not very strong and breaks easy. Aside from its high melting temperature and while it may be easy to blend into an alloy, there's not much going for it. The entire process is overly time consuming and turns out a small amount of good metal, so its never really been researched in massive quantities, but someone clearly did." Professor Ivy explained.

"And no one's explored this strange mental blocking trait it has?" Malcolm asked.

"Alone, in its pure form, it doesn't normally do that. But whatever they mixed with it might have an extra effect. The fastest way to find out what they mixed it with is to melt it down, look the base components. I'm hesitant to do that though in case there is more to it." Professor Ivy added, Malcolm giving him a nod himself.

"Yeah, umm... Look, can we try to keep it one piece and functional. Norva seems obsessed with it. I think she's trying to figure out how to beat it, so that this doesn't happen again." Malcolm asked.

"If anyone can beat it, I'd wager it would be her. She'd be a league level pokemon and you'd be a ranking psychic type trainer with her alone if she could still see." Professor Ivy nodded, looking over to Norva.

"I hope your doing better now. Have you calmed down some at least?" Professor Ivy asked, and Norva just nodded lightly.

Professor Ivy just seemed to study Norva for a moment though, before looking back to Malcolm. "She seems... much calmer. Well no, not calmer. More committed, ready to do something." Professor Ivy stated.

"She's... been pushing herself for the past few days ever since Mr. Pipez found that head band. That attack really messed with her, but now that she knows how, she's been determined to get the better of it." Malcolm stated.

"I hope she doesn't hurt herself too much. Its rare to see such determination on the face of anyone to be honest. Would... would you mind letting me see her at work in whatever training she is trying to do? It would be a rare chance to study this strange phenomenon." Professor Ivy asked.

"I mean... every time Norva tries it, she goes a little, well a little panicky. If she wants to give it another try, its not like I could really stop her, but having her under your eyes doing a test or two to make sure she's okay is fine with me if she'll want to try it here." Malcolm shrugged, but Norva quickly nodded.

"She seems eager about that idea. So why don't you two take it easy. The scan will be complete in about an hour and will give us a basic idea of what all material makes up that tiara. And then we'll see whatever Norva is trying to do to get around it." Professor Ivy stated.

"You two take it easy for the next how then. Go, rest up or something, but don't do anything strenuous. I've got some coffee on the rack in back. It will be cold, but you can use the microwave to heat it back if you want, and I'm sure Frank has some other drinks to share possibly while you wait. I'll keep running these tests though and get the equipment ready for those tests when these are finished." Professor Ivy stated.

With that, Malcolm and Norva got up and just moved to the lab's lobby for a bit. It took a bit longer then the hour that Professor Ivy had thought for the scan to finish up and Professor Ivy even made arranges to get some take out for them. Professor Ivy then invited them back into the labs after that and slowly hooked Norva up for a few things, even tried hooking up Malcolm to some as well, wanting to see their brains at work.

She had the two of them sitting directly across from each other with a small table between them, giving them some room to move, but trying to keep them close to each to make it easier on Norva, the tiara in Norva's hand right now.

"Sorry about the wait, but things are ready. Let's do a quick test run though. I'd like to get some quick readings to make sure everything is ready to go and then I'll let Norva figure out where to go from there." Professor Ivy stated.

Norva quickly reached out and the screens that Professor Ivy was looking at light up with all the usual data, and even Malcolm was lit up a little bit right now. "Now, ease off a little bit." Professor Ivy stated, and Norva relaxed some, her mind calming down. "Okay, my readings look clean. When you're ready Norva."

Norva barely nodded, taking Malcolm's arm tightly again, and slowly lifted the tiara up and over his head. She took a few more deep breathes, and seemed to almost growl at it, before plopping it on Malcolm's head.

Instantly his mind went dark to her, vanishing, and even Professor Ivy's lab equipment seemed to have a slight dip in mental activity being recorded from Malcolm. Norva's mental activity seemed to double though as she held a firm scowl, angry and refusing to give in, giving everything she had.

Her heart rate spiked as well, the feeling of losing track of Malcolm still hard on her, but it only drove her to push herself harder. She reached out more and more, knowing where he was, and concentrated more and more.

"Norva, take it easy there. Don't push yourself too hard." Professor Ivy stated after a moment, watching Norva's vitals go up as well as pushing past any former test results that Professor Ivy had recorded on her.

[You shut it! I'm not going to let this stop me!] Norva yelled out, quickly getting up and slamming her hands on the table before her, turning to face where Professor Ivy was for a few, before turning and facing Malcolm was supposed to be, and then she felt just the weakest of things, something was there. She faced him entirely now, Malcolm giving a small look of awe and wondering if she was somehow sensing him.

A heart beat monitor went off, an alert for Norva and Malcolm quickly stood up himself. "Norva, please calm down. Don't push so hard!" Malcolm called out overly worried now.

"Easy Norva, easy. You'll give yourself a heart attack." Professor Ivy added, but Norva wasn't going to have any of it. Malcolm quickly took it into his own hands though and ripped the tiara from his head and suddenly Norva was blinded by a bright light. She toppled backwards in shock, falling over the chair that she had been sitting in and pulled several things over from the wires still attached on her.

Even Professor Ivy bolted up from her chair, the optical center of Norva's brain suddenly lit up with activity, Norva was seeing something.

As Norva fell back, she could see a gardevoir's legs falling back and then the eyes moved forward rushing to help, but they couldn't, bound by something. She saw a hand quickly move up to the head and close to the eyes of whoever was doing something and ripped cords free. It was a surreal experience, she knew that somehow she was watching herself, and from Malcolm's point of view, through his eyes. "Norva!" Malcolm called out, watching a cart start to topple over, and would have collapsed on her, only from this point of view, Norva could see.

Seeing what was supposed to be happening around her, she reacted quickly, hands up and grabbing anything over in a powerful psychic grip, the large metal box wrapped up in a pinkish glow. Malcolm just stopped in awe of wondering what was going, only for the piece of equipment to partially shoved in his direction, as if waiting for him to grab it now.

"N-norva?" Malcolm gasped out, slowly taking the piece of equipment and setting it down on the table, before moving over to help her up. Even as he was extending his hand, Norva reached up and took it. Norva had her eyes wide open looking up at him, and gave a loud gasp seeing her dark purple eyes, seeing the damage that was done to her for the first time, of how still lightly messed up her face was even.

[Is... is that me? Is... is this what I look like?] Norva gave a loud gasp herself, her heart rate spiking even more as Professor Ivy came rushing down and quickly jabbed something into Norva's chest before she was really aware of it. Norva tried to stop it, seeing a strange hand rushing for her chest, but in her shock barely had time to react. Her world quickly dark again and drowsiness over her even as Norva started to grab Professor Ivy's arm.

"What did you to her?!" Malcolm cried out.

"High grade sedative. She was going to have a heart attack." Professor Ivy stated quickly. "And you need to see this."
