A change pace! I didn't expect to upload anything out of order (I'm still uploading the flower pieces) AND something I would consider adult? Maybe? I'm not really sure so I'm throwing it under "adult" just in case.

This poem (and drawing) happened as a result of the campaign The Guilded Cage by comidacomida (you can read the first chapter here). It's been quite a ride and at this precise moment I was overcome with emotion and I had to do something about it- so I did!===Do you like my work? You can get a commission! Dawn's light rises like a wave

it turns the wheel grave-

can you see, do you remember?

Taken from a brass cacophony

you prevented an elegy

with the softest touch, so tender.

Now the nights turn to foam

drifting back home,

back under, they surrender.

A tide you could never see but feel

carrying away your will

slowly breaking you asunder.

Each day a new page

gets to set the stage.

It's white.

Like yesterday's-

yesterdays no longer exist.

What memories owe us is existence.

Do you remember? Remains of myself

again at the edge of loss

at the precipice of every sunset.

Your serenades, the lands the waves caressed

the shores under the uncertain waters.

Curse, bless me now

that I may fail to recollect the coming nights

if that lets me feel that sand beneath me once again.

Surely it would be worth it

to drift misplaced, to find a lighthouse.

Sighs recovered, sighs lost, a touch so tender

the only thing that I wish to remember.

Quiet, hold my hands that I'll tuck away in them

the silence sings to me and I will listen.

Rock me over the horizon,

tell me of the ebb and flow.

Recall, my harmony

the tides of memory.

We'll continue, together.

Dawn's light rises like a wave

it turns the wheel grave-

can you see, do you remember?
