"Here's the money. Take it to the Hive and make sure nobody sees you. Call me when you're done."

These are the last words his boss said to Marco, before getting into his car and driving off. He headed to the hideout they called the Hive among themselves, an old house built around the 1940's where they kept most of the gang's money. It wasn't too far, the serval only needed to walk about three kilometers, through the city and into the suburbs. He was wearing a black suit and sunglasses, elegant but not so much that he would draw attention to himself.

He couldn't take the straight path to the Hive, as the part of the city he would have had to go through was famously occupied by the Brotherhood, sworn enemy of the Sofopa cartel, which Marco belonged to. He didn't dare to go into such dangerous territory, so he decided to get around it and sacrifice that half an hour for his safety. But as he started walking on the longer path, his phone suddenly rang.

"Marco, this is urgent. I can't say much but I need the money ASAP! Get here as quickly as you can. Every second matters." And with that, his boss put down the phone.

Great. Although he was confused as to why his boss didn't give him any more information, it also filled him with anxiety, so he sped up his walking. Going around the Brotherhood territory wasn't an option anymore, so he had to risk going in. Hopefully his sunglasses would offer him some disguise, and he hadn't even been in the mafia for too long, so there was a chance they wouldn't recognize him even if they spotted him, he hoped.

The area controlled by the Brotherhood was quite a poor one, most houses in ruins with no one living inside of them. Every once in a while he could spot clothes drying on the fences and dogs barking as he passed by, so it definitely wasn't abandoned, but only the poorest of the city lived here. Nobody was on the streets as due to the increased crime in the area, no one really dared to leave the house, let alone step on the streets unless they needed to. The whole place was haunting and Marco couldn't wait to finally get out and set foot on familiar ground.

"DON'T MOVE! I HAVE A GUN AT YOU!" He suddenly heard from behind his back. Okaaay, this was not the time to be brave, he slowly put down his suitcase and raised his hands.

"What are you doing here? I know you're not from around here, most people can barely afford to eat, let alone buy suits like that. I don't recognize you from Brotherhood though." The voice was of a short but muscular tiger, which Marco couldn't see, but he heard his raspy, threatening voice.

"Oh, my apologies monsieur! I am a French businessman and I came to visit a convention but my... Phone died and I got lost without a map. C-could you help me out maybe, if you would kindly put that gun down..." This was the best lie he could come up with on the spot, forcing the best French accent he could produce.

The tiger took the serval's suitcase, still holding the gun to his back. "Show me your ID, frenchie. If you're really from there, which I doubt."

Marco of course didn't have a french ID, but he had to get away from this somehow. He froze in shock, thinking of what to do next, and ultimately decided to escape. He kicked the tiger on the balls behind his back and started running, hoping to take the nearest turn before his enemy recovered from the kick. Unfortunately though, he miscalculated and the tiger shot at him, landing a bullet in his ankle and making him unable to run.

"Hahaha, I knew it you cowardly Sofopa dick-sucker! You can't lie, nor fight, that's why you didn't get into the Brotherhood... So you're left with that loser gang. No problem though, I'll make a man of your real soon..." He grabbed his immobilized victim, hit him on the head with the gun so hard that he passed out, then carried him into the nearest house.

Marco woke up taped to a chair, looking around with a visible panic on his face. The room was empty other than him, and a camera right in front of him, which probably recorded or streamed his every move. Not much later after he woke up, the tiger opened the door and stepped into the room.

"I don't wanna make this painful for you, I know you couldn't take it anyway, coward kitten. So I'm gonna ask nicely, where were you going? Where did you want to take that money?"

"I-I won't speak! You're not gonna get a word out of me!" The serval replied with a shaky voice, radiating uncertainty.

The tiger shook his head slowly and got real close to his victim, leaning right into his face to break the comfort zone. "We at the Brotherhood have a policy you see. If we capture someone, we always give them a chance to speak. If they cooperate and tell the truth, we spare them and sometimes even offer them a job. If they don't speak... I have quite a few toys with me, serval boy."

After a bit of hesitation, Marco closed his eyes and agreed to talk. The Sofopa had never been that good to him after all, maybe he'll get a better position at the Brotherhood. "F-fine... My boss called me, he didn't tell me why but he needed the money in the suitcase... 3rd district, Main street 5. That's all I know." He was filled with a bit of shame for telling on his former group, but he focused on getting out of there alive."

"Good kitten, see? This is how easy it is to manipulate your type. Cowardly, believes everything... Now let Master get the toys... It's time for me to stretch my claws~"
