Nargo, anthro description

Story by Kisu Composer on SoFurry

, ,

A toned, white furred creature with a long sinewy tail sat on a rocky outcropping looking out over a beach, the wind ruffling through his short but soft white fur gently, causing it to ripple and wave, much like the vast expanse of water that lie before him. His head was raised, enjoying the carress of the wind through his blond hair, nostrils flared as he breathed deep of the air, which carried the brisk salty tang of the ocean. He opened his eyes slowly, revealing their dazzling blue colour. There was a gentle warmth there, a sort of friendly, inviting feel about them that made you want to open up to him, made him seem like an easily likeable guy.

After a moment, he stood and stretched, yawning widely, revealing the forked tongue. The warm sun and lazing about had made him a touch tired, and he decided that he needed to wake up. He leapt nimbly down from the outcropping of stone where he had perched, landing on the hot white sand, a small shell being crushed buy his drop. He didnt notice this however, and started to run towards the sparkling waters, eyes gleaming with excitement, all traces of exhaustion gone.

He dove into the water head first. The water was startlingly cold after being out in the warm sunlight, and he gave a gasp of surprise, body shivering. A bit of the salt water entered his mouth, and he tasted the salty bitterness of it. He spat, but smiled, loving being in the water, his fur dripping wet already. He dove down into the water and started to swim, arms and legs moving strongly and surely through the water, using his tail as a rudder. He swam for roughly an hour, darting about beneath the waves, startling a large school of fish, watching some pipe fish dart about a clump of seaweed.

After his little expedition, he came from the waters, an exhilarated look on his face. He shook most of the water from his fur much as a dog would, the droplets gleaming like gems in the sunlight. He looked back over to the west, and saw that the sun was sinking low into the ocean, causing it to glow a brilliant fiery red. He decided that it was time for him to return home, and made his way slowly down the beach, tail swaying lethargically behind him.
