Nargo, feral description

The sun filtered through the leaves and branches of the large trees of the forest, the rays blinking in and out of existence as the wind played through the dense foliage, making it rustle and whisper, making it feel as if the forest were alive and telling secrets to itself. The sound of birds and variouse insects could be heard throughout the lofty boughs. The birds hopping about and singing their merry little songs, picking an insect from a branch every now and then.

Down below, a large porcupine bumbled along, quills swaying from side to side as it waddled, making little grunting noises to itself as it snuffled along the ground, nose low, looking for food. It stopped at a bush covered in fat ripe black berries, and sat back on its haunches, reaching up and plucking one berry at a time, eating slowly, his paws becoming soaked in the berries dark juice. Its dark little eyes surveyed its surroundings as it ate, tiny ears perked for danger.

Suddenly, the forest grew quiet and still, the birds either flying off, or hiding in nests hidden high up. The porcupine stopped eating, a half eaten berry clutched in its forepaws. Its little nostrils flared, scenting the breeze that was blowing, then it gave a small cry of alarm and dismay, and darted of into a clump of bushes, barreling down the hole that was the entrance to its den. All remained eerily quiet even the buzzing and the humming of the insects had stopped. At first, nothing happened, then the ground began to vibrate.

From deep within the depths of the forest, a large white creature emerged. This creature was truly massive, awe inspiring to behold. He moved steadily among the trees, weaving between what he could, and shouldering what he couldnt out of his way. It was a large white furred drake, muscles rippling powerfully beneath the thick white fur, a long gold mane running down from the top of his head, down his long slender neck, along his spine down to the tip of his tail. The dragons head swayed from side to side as it walked, sharp blue eyes taking in every detail. These were the eyes of a purely instinctual creature, seeking only food, shelter, and a mate.

He stopped, nostrils flaring briefly as he caught the scent of the fresh spilled juice of the berries, and the porcupine that had been eating them. The dragon toyed with the idea of hunting the creature down, but decided against it, deciding the small animal was more trouble than the meager mouthful it would provide. Besides, he wasnt terribly hungry. He was more interested in finding a mate, so he continued on, soon vanishing into the density of the forest, the crash of his footsteps receding.

After awhile, a lone bird spoke up, somewhat hesitantly. When nothing happened, it called out more boldly. Soon others followed suit, hopping out and calling to eachother, the whine of insects also resuming. Hearing these sounds, the porcupine emerged from his den, resuming his grunting and waddling, going back to the bush to eat. Soon it was as if nothing had ever happened there in that dark and quiet forest.
