Inside the house of the Maverick Reploids, Double had found himself wide awake in his bedroom, becoming acutely aware of the new scenery before him as he yawned and stretched out his arms in the dead open air. The sun basking a warm glow through the curtains on the window sills, they half blinded him and caused the Maverick to yank his pillow from beside him and slam it against his face to block out the light. A sudden groan escaping his dry throat, Double had tried to fully cover himself with his blanket in an effort to sleep peacefully.

He never felt like getting up in the morning as he had always been forced to come out of his bedroom by either Vile or Sigma, but with his hopes high, he wishes this could be someone different. The hue of his room has been reduced to only mere soft colors as the sun had been an early riser at this time around, causing the days to become longer than expected. Double restrained a few more movements as he wriggled around in bed before finally feeling tired once again from using all his energy.

Rustling turned to soft snoring as he fell right back asleep until it became 11 am, his head stirring a little from the experience. Amidst the silence of the hallways, with millions of the other Maverick Reploids' bedroom doors wide open and empty on the inside, one in particular had been slyly sneaking down in the dark. A stealthy mission to retrieve Double and get him out into the main lobby, Colonel tried his best to prevent his robotic heels and ankles from making the slightest of sounds while he walked.

The young Repliforce Officer was able to find Double's bedroom door with careful ease as he gently placed the palm of his hand on the doorknob, slowly twisted it to open the door, and walked in on Double sleeping in during the day. With a mischievous motion, Colonel yanked the blanket off the Maverick's sleeping body and cleared his throat loudly.

Double's eyes opened up abruptly as the sounds of Colonel's voice echoed through the bedroom and alerted him, causing him to strike his head up and turned around behind him. Facing the Repliforce Officer, Double chuckled as he felt Colonel's bulking body tower over him.

"Hey, Colonel!" He exclaimed nervously as he stood up from his bed, completely forgetting about the blanket yanked off his body and laying on the floor.

"You're due for the morning meeting minutes ago," Colonel responded playfully as he gently lifted his housemate and carried him off into the hallways out to the lobby. Met with the familiar sight of the dark halls, Double silently slumped into the arms of the Repliforce Officer and looked up to face his friend's mock amused expression. The darkness soon turned to light as Colonel had carried Double out to the main lobby through the doorway, where the entire scene was buzzing with life from the other Maverick Reploids.

The lobby had been packed to the brim with everyone in the Maverick House as they were gathered together in one room, but the only two places that seemed to be empty were Colonel and Double's. No one seemed to pay attention as he made his way back to where he sat and placed Double down and plopped himself down onto the beanbag chair. Up in the front, there was Sigma and Vile, accompanied with a gigantic whiteboard with a black marker in the Maverick's hand.

Vile looked up from his writing on the board and said, "finally you're here. Now we can start." He handed the marker to Sigma and the meeting had started, with the rest of the other Mavericks perking their attention to them and listening on. The former Hunter had started writing down things on the whiteboard and finished with gently slapping the back of his hand on the front.

"Dr. Horace Lee III has recently came out to me about what he has been planning to do in order to raise money for the fundraiser charity he had installed for decommissioned Reploids," Sigma explained, "the theme he has found for us is to create and sell beverages for the thirsty population. No deadline has been set, but he recommends we do this immediately. If you have any ideas, you can come to either me or Vile."

Everyone turned to each other as the crowd had evolved into curious murmurs. Amidst the attention, Double slumped into his beanbag chair and yawned silently while Colonel paid close attention to the meeting. From the crowd, only two Mavericks seemed uninterested with the meeting, one of them already fallen asleep. Dynamo had found this to be boring as he had been sleeping during the entire lecture, much to Vile's irritation.

From beside him, Gate had bore witness to his housemate's rude gesture and gently nudged his shoulder to wake him up. "Dynamo, it is very impolite to sleep during a time like this!" He hissed in a low whisper, causing the Mercenary to jolt awake. Looking around frantically, Dynamo yawned and then looked over at Sigma and Vile.

"Wow, over already?" He asked as he regained his physical composure and settled his eyes into the curious gazes of everyone who witnessed his sleeping mode. The lobby turned to silence among the Maverick Reploids until Sigma cleared his throat to get their attention, alerting them back to looking at him.

"Anyway," he continued, "the drink drive will be set on this exact date, meaning it will begin tomorrow. Be ready for when it comes." The former Maverick Hunter cupped his hands together and sighed in satisfaction, giving the marker back to Vile. With a loud thunderous roar, he said, "meeting adjourned."

With that, millions of the Maverick Reploids had dispersed away from their chairs and walked back to their bedrooms to think up of plans for a new drink. Meanwhile, Double had felt himself crawl back to his room before having his forearm forcefully dragged out of nowhere behind him. Surprised, he turned and saw Colonel gently tugging at his arm. Before he could even react, the Repliforce Officer had settled his eyes onto him and asked, "would you mind seeing Sigma for a bit? He wants to talk to you."

"Alright," Double replied as he lazily trotted over to the Commander who was busy putting up the whiteboard with the help from Vile. Taking notice of him approaching, Sigma turned over to the Jell-O man and let out an approved sound. "Double, the man I wanted to see!" He chuckled a bit as he placed a hand on his shoulder and motioned for him to go to a different part of the lobby.

Being directed into an empty corridor of the Maverick House, Double grew suspicious of what the former Commander wanted him to do for him; it usually involves something pretty unpleasant when it came to being pulled out of your regular daily moments to have a conversation with Sigma, but he just hoped this was different. A wave of paranoia washed over Double as he stood still, trembling in his higher-up's presence. What really can afterwards was a soft smile forming across Sigma's face and a light snicker.

"You're not in any trouble," he assured him slightly, "there is one thing I had been aware of recently. You seemed to have slept in this morning."

Double nodded in agreement as he yawned shortly after, his red eyes now forming into a sleepy state. Looking away, he tried to find the right words to use as in means to explain his recent slip up, hoping that Sigma would understand why it has happened.

"I didn't have the energy in me to get up and do anything," answered Double shortly before he started to rub at the corner of his eyes to remove any excess particles that lay inside them. Sigma shook his head in mock disapproval as he patted his friend's head and causing him to let out a startled yelp.

"Okay, I'm awake now."

"I know it's hard to find yourself full of energy in these trying times," Sigma went on, "but Dr. Lee believes in us deeply to change our ways. If this is about the fundraiser drive we're doing-"

"It's nothing like that," Double replied, his lips curving into a shy grimace, darting his eyeballs downward to the floor and cupping his hands together below his stomach. The pink fluids slowly dripping and swishing with every second of the Jell-O man's breathing, it wasn't long before Sigma opened his mouth to speak to him.

"Is the fluid inside your body... edible, by any chance?" He asked curiously, pointing a finger at the liquid flowing inside Double's translucent body, its contents shifting slowly. Looking up after hearing the question, the yellow Maverick blushed intently as his face had turned into a burning crimson.

"W-What kind of question is that!?" He barked, taking a step back from the former Commander.

"I just want to know," Sigma replied calmly as he took his hand out and rubbed the invisible barrier between the pink fluids and the robotic body of the Jell-O man. Double felt the cold hands of his friend as he froze in shock from his touch. Rubbing his palms up and down on his torso, Sigma had been tantalized by the liquids he had been eyeing for so long until he finally broke out of it and got up to his full height.

"Sorry about that," he said, "I got carried away. Anyway, would you like to be the producer for our beverage drive by any chance?"

"Of course, Sigma!" Double answered excitedly, "anything is a lot better than not being a part of it at all! So what does a producer do?"

"We haven't thought of what you should do yet, but when we do, we'll let you know ahead of time."

As their conversation had died down, Sigma dismissed Double with a friendly wave and he went off to his bedroom to finally unwind and chill while the former Commander was left with doing the planning of the fundraiser.
