This Story Series may eventually have just about anything and everything you can think of wrote into it. You have been warned...

On a side note, I decided to make a dated list of what I edit of my stories, as well as when I edit them. That way everyone will know if I edited the story itself, the title of it, or just the author's note thing I put either at the beginning, or end of the stories themselves. So, if this story shows up in your watchlist even if you have already removed it after reading it, then I may have edited it in some way. Directly below this paragraph is where the date list will be. I will have the dates starting with when I originally posted this story, along with each date where I edited something within the story. Beside the date will tell you what I did that particular day.

I guess I might as well start off with the characters. The characters named "Andy," "Ulric," and "Alex," are not mine but the rest of them that will be used in this will be. To give ya a heads up, the character named "Jonwolf," is me and is based on what kind of person I am as well as who I am. Even my outlook on life will be put in the series, even if ya can't see it. I will be in this series from this chapter forward. Many things in this chapter will show you what direction the series will go. The series is mixed with fact and fantasy so I'll leave it up to you on what you think each thing that happens in the series is. I'll put more after the chapter so until ya get that far, enjoy the story....

The Hitchhikers

Chapter 2 - Bad Memories But A Perfect Reunion

After looking at the picture for awhile, Andy put it beside him and started grabbing his things. There wasn't much to grab since he was a trucker. He grabbed the envelope that contained the letter from his boss, a dog-jewel decoration from the rear-view mirror, and his sunglasses and set them next to the picture he was looking at earlier. He looked through the glove-box and found his company shirt. He figured that he didn't want to look at it and that that's why he put it there but still wasn't sure why he wouldn't remember what he did with the shirt. After grabbing everything that was his and putting the stuff in a sack, he grabbed the company shirt, the keys to the truck, and began to climb down the truck.

A few more tears darkened under his eyes and began to scar his cheeks a little as he jumped off the truck and walked towards the front of it. Just before reaching the sidewalk, he froze in his tracks after noticing that Alex and Ulric were talking to someone outside the side entrance to the Flying Jay. After stepping onto the sidewalk and getting a closer look, he realized that they were talking to Richard. Richard is a grolar bear in his early 30's and has been working for Dingo's Inc. for almost 10 years now. His fur is thin so he's able to cope with Oklahoma weather. Andy could see that Richard's fur was pure white but had shades of brown faded in his fur as he walked further down the sidewalk.

When Andy was about 5 feet from them, he looked up as Richard looked up at him and they gazed into each other's eyes for what seemed like an eternity. They could see the sadness in each other's eyes as they gazed at each other. By now Alex and Ulric had stopped talking and were watching the truckers gaze at each other. "You got laid off didn't ya," Richard said in hopes of breaking the silence that hung in the air. He could see the streaks that were like scars on Andy's face that could only mean tears of sadness. Andy closed his eyes, tilted his head towards the ground, breathed out slowly, and nodded in response. He was on the verge of crying but he didn't want to cry in front of everyone. One tear had fell from his face and before he knew it, he had arms wrapped around him and his emotions took over. He was finally balling his eyes out about his situation.

By this time Alex and Ulric were watching Richard comfort Andy. Alex couldn't take his eyes off of Andy. There was just something about Andy that was too familiar to not know and yet too distant for Alex to know. Ulric didn't even notice that Alex was staring so much.

"Its going to be alright Andy, you'll find a better job than this and won't have to deal with this stupid company ever again," Richard said to Andy trying to cheer him up. Sometime during Richard's embrace, Andy was able to calm himself from crying and was finally able to speak up. "H-how am I-I suppose t-to get a-another j-job I-if n-no one will h-hire m-me b-because of m-my c-colorings and a f-few other r-reasons," Andy said while constantly stuttering from his constant crying. After a minute or 2 Andy finally got a grip on his crying but not his tears. Andy's eyes were closed but he felt Richard's hands on his shoulders instead of on his back.

He opened his eyes and looked at Richard's face. He could see the anger on Richard's face and whimpered a little. He wasn't sure why Richard would be upset and wondered a few things but since Richard was calm, he wasn't sure of any of it. "Is one of these reasons because your gay?" Richard finally asked. This time it was Andy's turn to be upset after hearing the word gay. "If you mean going out with guys then yes but I'm not. Don't use the word gay around me....even if your bi people say your gay and it pisses me off," Andy replied rather quickly but in a serious tone. "So what are ya then," Richard asked but a bit more calm than before. After about a minute Andy sighed and said, "I'm bi". "Damn it," Richard whispered to himself. "What's wrong," Andy asked after hearing Richard's choice of words. "That's why we got fired," Richard replied back to Andy as he let his arms drop from Andy's shoulders to his own knees as he squatted down on one knee. "And what does me being bi have to do with us getting fired," Andy replied in utter confusion.

Alex was staring at Andy even more after Andy had said he was bi. He finally had an answer to why he recognized Andy so much and even had a name but still wasn't sure if Andy was this person or not. "I take it that you've never met our boss," Richard asked with confidence. Andy only ducked his head and stared at the ground. "What about him," Andy finally replied after several seconds of thinking about their boss. "Our boss is biased and if he knows you're not straight, or even suspects that you're not; he won't even hesitate to fire you," Richard said in a calm and yet happy tone. Andy's ears perked up and he looked up when Richard said biased and knew what he meant by it. "He suspected something between us because of how nice you are to me; didn't he," Andy asked as his tears finally stopped. Richard nodded in response.

Alex was still staring at Andy; searching his body with his eyes but with Andy standing sideways; he couldn't see his chest to confirm it. Andy finally shifted his stance; giving Alex a good view of his entire chest. Alex's eyes were wide open and filled with tears after realizing who Andy really was. "I should have known after he told me his first name....especially after I saw that his right ear was pink," Alex thought as he finally began to walk towards Andy and Richard so he could find out if Andy remembered him. Ulric was watching Alex but wasn't sure what was going on. He began to follow behind Alex in hopes of finding out.

"To answer your question about getting a better job; you could try game testing but to do this you would need someone that knows a lot about it," Richard told Andy to put him on the right path to fame. "How much does it pay," Andy asked. "Between 5 and 20 grand a month depending on how good ya are; use to be higher but with a bad economy and this stupid oil spill, the wages went down," Richard replied. Andy thought about who might know a lot about the gaming industry but suddenly glanced over towards Alex and Ulric and realized they were walking towards him.

"Is Alex crying?" Andy asked. "Looks like tears of joy to me," Richard replied as Alex and Ulric finally were about 2 feet away from them. "You okay," Andy asked Alex. Alex looked up at Andy and asked, "Do you know who I am?" as he looked into Andy's multicolored eyes with an evilish grin. Andy glanced over Alex's body and stopped at his face. Andy had a confused look on his face and thought about who Alex really could be. The only thing that kept going through Andy's mind was "of course I do, I gave you a ride here didn't I." Richard had a puzzled look on his face as he glanced from Andy, to Alex, and then back to Andy. After about a minute, Richard realized what was going on and grinned a little. Andy finally got a name to go through his head but need a couple questions to be answered. "If you know who I am, then what is my name?" Andy asked with a tear in his right eye. "Andy McNub," Alex replied. By now Andy had tears in both of his eyes and had only had one more question to ask as a grin crept its way on his face. "You mean to tell me that that's who our driver was," Ulric blurted out while looking at Alex. "Is your name Alexander Wolfhaven," Andy asked Alex as he raised his head to look at him. "Yes," Alex replied. Before anything else was said; Andy and Alex were lost in a deep and well needed hug. They had tears in their eyes but they were glad to see each other.

"When did you cross the ocean," Alex finally asked after breaking the hug but kept his hands on Andy's shoulders and looked into his eyes. Andy looked down slightly and after thinking for a moment replied, "we might as well go inside to talk." After thinking a little more, Andy thought of something to ask both Ulric and Alex. "Do you know of anyone that knows anything about the gaming industry," he asked in hopes of getting an answer. Alex thought for a minute but couldn't think of anyone. Ulric on the other hand could only think of one person. After thinking of this person, he closed his eyes, pointed his muzzle towards the ground, and had a sad look on his face. "Have you found him yet?" Alex asked Ulric after noticing the sad look on his face. "I found him....but I don't remember what happened afterwards," Ulric replied.

"Found who," Andy asked with a puzzled look on his face. "He's a friend of ours. We haven't told you much about him but I think you would like him....We might as well finish this conversation inside," Alex replied. "Speaking of finishing, I still have a load to deliver to the OU Medical Center in Edmond," Richard said after looking at the time that his cell phone had given him. Andy looked around him until a sack caught his attention. "I must have dropped it when I hugged Alex," Andy thought to himself as he picked up the sack, took out the company shirt that somehow made it's was in the sack, and grabbed the truck keys from his pocket. "You'll need these," Andy said to Richard as he gave him the shirt and keys. Richard was grinning a little as he took the items from Andy's hands and replaced them with 2 envelopes. Andy looked at the envelopes and was confused since there should only be one. He saw that the first envelope said paycheck on it and after opening it realized that there was around $500 in it. When he glanced at the second envelope, he was confused. It didn't have, not even a single word, nor number written on it. "What's this," Andy asked Richard with a puzzled and yet confused look on his face. "I saw that your paycheck wasn't even a fourth of what it's supposed to be so I added to it....Consider it an awesome gift from me to you," Richard replied while still grinning.

Andy stared at the envelope for awhile before finally opening it. As soon as he opened it he nearly fainted at the site he saw. "That's too much," Andy replied quickly. "Actually that's not enough. My parents are very rich but are also very greedy. They cut me off from their money when I got a job but now that its' come down to my last load, they put me back on their list. Since I was fired from a suspicion, my parents will sue our boss and Dingo's Inc. will probably become extinct. They gave me double the amount you hold in your hand just to get me started. They never lose in court and always pocket a ton of money from it. Anyway, once you find someone that knows a lot about the gaming industry; show him the money, and ask if he knows how to make that amount get bigger as well as the fact that that money is to help the 4 of you get a job in the gaming industry. Tell Kathy that I'll talk to her later and ask her about the person that Ulric is looking for. Until we meet again, see ya around Andy, and good luck," Richard said as he gave Andy a handshake. He waved goodbye to Alex and Ulric as he walked towards the truck that Andy parked.

Andy looked over at Ulric and saw that he was a bit sad. A few bad memories about what might have happened to the person Ulric was searching for was starting to get to Ulric a little. "How much did he give you," Alex asked since he overheard what Andy and Richard were talking about. Not that it was a secret to Alex since he was standing next to Andy when Richard said what he did. "Since we all need to talk to each other, we might as well go inside; a cup of coffee and some pancakes sound good right about now," Andy replied with the envelopes in one hand, and a sack in the other as he began walking between Alex and Ulric towards the side entrance doors to the Flying Jay. Alex had his right around Andy and Andy returned the favor with his left hand. Ulric smirked and shook his head when he glanced over at Alex and Andy.

When they finally reached the glass doors to the Flying Jay, Ulric held the door open for Alex and Andy who stopped holding each other so they could go inside. After the first door, and a second door to match the first; they found themselves in a restaurant-like environment. The chill of an air conditioner, the feel of air flowing through their fur from ceiling fans, the sounds of discussion, the site of truckers, visitors, and tourists, and the smell of the buffet brought back memories from their first encounter on the web. Turns out that webcams can be very useful.

Andy glanced around in search of someone named Kathy, which Richard spoke of. After glancing at a couple waitresses and seeing that the name tags located above their left breast didn't say Kathy; he looked at the cashier. Just one glance of the cashier told Andy what type of parents the cashier had. The cashier was a snow leopard that had tiger stripes instead of spots and looked like she was in her early 20's. As he looked at her name tag hanging above her left breast, he saw the word "Kathy" written on it. "There's Kathy," Andy said as he began to walk toward her. Ulric and Alex followed behind Andy. After a little bit of walking, they found themselves at the register.

"Kathy," Andy said after stopping to just a stance in front of the register. Alex and Ulric were standing next to Andy when they stopped walking. "Yes, how may I help you," Kathy asked while resting her left arm on the counter and her head against her right hand. "Richard wanted us to tell you that he'd talk to you later," Andy replied after noticing how bored Kathy looked. You could tell she didn't like working at the Flying Jay. Shortly after saying the words that Richard had told them to say, Kathy's face perked up and a smile crept its way across her face. "So he did huh, about time he said that," Kathy replied while wagging her slick and slender tail back and forth. By this time, Andy already knew what was going on between Richard and Kathy. "He also wanted us to ask you something," Andy said while letting Ulric step forward. Ulric was looking towards the ground as he took in a deep breath. As he breathed out, he put his left hand in his shorts pocket. "I'm looking for someone," he said as he pulled his hand out of his pocket with a picture clutched in it. Kathy could tell that Ulric was sad and worried about who he was searching for. When Ulric took his hand out of his pocket, Kathy could see that he had a picture in his hand. Ulric put the picture on the counter and slid it towards Kathy. Kathy picked up the picture and took a short glance at it before suddenly realizing who was in the photo.

Ulric was still looking towards the ground but Andy and Alex were looking at Kathy. They could tell that Kathy knew who was in the photo. It was obvious since her eyes were wide open, along with her mouth slightly open, and a shocked and yet worried look on her face which crept its way down her muzzle. "What are yall's names?" Kathy asked as she slid the picture back towards Ulric. "I'm Andy," Andy said while pressing his hands on his upper chest. "I'm Alex," Alex said shortly after Andy got quiet. After around 30 seconds, Ulric finally said, "and I'm Ulric." Kathy looked at Ulric with a completely shocked and yet excited look on her face. "I wondered if I'd ever get to meet ya," she said as a tear formed in her right eye and rolled down her muzzle. "What do you mean by that," Andy asked in a state of confusion. Kathy reached into her pocket to retrieve an object. When she took her hand out of her pocket, she had a picture held within it. She placed it on the counter and slid it towards the 3 canines. "Where did you get this," Ulric asked after glancing at the photo. His words were filled with sorrow and worryness. Alex and Andy glanced at the photo and were surprised at who was in it.

It was a photo of Ulric, but he was younger. "Wait here," Kathy said as she walked away from the counter and towards one of the waitresses. Ulric knew what the picture meant and wanted to be told that the person he was searching for had been here. When Kathy came back she had a waitress with her. The waitress walked around the counter and sat on a stool behind the register. Kathy on the other hand didn't follow the waitress. Instead she walked up to Ulric, grabbed his left wrist, and pulled him towards the buffet side of the restaurant. Alex and Andy looked at each other and then turned to follow the cashier. After a few seconds of walking, they came to 2 doors without handles. As they reached these doors, Kathy turned around with her back to these doors and faced the 3 canines.

"He finally fell asleep about an hour ago but normally wakes up around this time to eat dinner. Sometimes he is here and sometimes he's not. Sometimes he has money for his dinner and sometimes he doesn't. He's a really great guy but has been going through a rough time. He won't tell me what happened or how long he's had to endure such sadness that's troubled his life," she told them in a low but calm voice. "What do you mean by sadness?" Ulric asked as tears fell from his muzzle. "He's been crying himself to sleep while looking at a picture of you. He gave me a copy of the picture and told me that if I see the person in the picture to let him know but as I said before, he won't tell me what's troubling him," She replied to Ulric. "Has he said anything about us?" Alex asked. "He's told me a lot about what kind of person yall are but didn't say anything further than that. I can't even get him to tell me what his name is," she replied as she turned and pushed the doors open.

As they followed her through the doors, Ulric glanced around the room in hopes of seeing the person he'd been searching for. After not seeing who he was searching for, he was a bit confused. He looked down as if worried that the person he was searching for may have left already and that Kathy was wrong about this person eating dinner around this time. When he looked up, he saw that both Alex and Andy were following Kathy and that they were almost to the very back of the room. Ulric walked quickly towards them so he could catch up to where they were. As he caught up to them and was standing behind them, he realized that they were at the back of the buffet room, which didn't seem to have anyone, other than themselves, in this part of the building.

"He's back here. He didn't want to be around anyone other than me so back here was the perfect place for him," Kathy said while pointing towards a wall. Ulric took a closer look and realized that this wall had a table behind it. The canines followed Kathy around the wall in hopes of seeing who was behind it. The person they saw was a wolf. He was a bluish-gray color and looked rather sad. There were moist streaks of old tears, which scarred my muzzle from constant crying. I had my arms crossed on the table with my left arm over my right arm, the left side of my muzzle against my left arm, a picture of a young Ulric clutched in my left hand in which my face pointed at, and my back was against the wall that stood alone. After seeing that it was me that was sitting at the table, Ulric had tears in his eyes. Kathy put her left hand on Ulric's right shoulder to try and make him feel better.

Ulric looked at my chest and saw a dragon pendant with some extra charms on it. The pendant was a Chinese Dragon and had a Figaro chain in which it was attached to. The extra charms included a friends star, a zipper handle, and 4 dog bone-shaped name tags. "Can I at least know his name?" Kathy asked in hopes of an answer. Ulric paused as he slowly breathed in deep and said, "his name is Jonwolf....and I've been searching for him for quite awhile," with a saddened but happy voice. At last!!! He had finally found me.

I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it....even if it did take awhile to write. If ya want you can guess at what will happen next and give your opinion over this chapter. I already have an idea on what the next chapter will be about and even have a title for it. However, it would be interesting to see what people have to say about this chapter or guess what will happen in the next one. Other than that I figured that I might as well say that for those that are wondering where the yiff scenes are, I decided that it will be the fourth chapter that will start off the yiff scenes within this series.
