Ah, so the story was a memory recounted from Thomas's Journal
In reality (in this case March of 2020) Thomas is reading an old journal of his as he is now in college, in a school in New england. Junko and Him were in a long distance relationship, as she was modeling on the west coast but attending the same university as him. And with that, the story of the magic fighters is over, may we meet again in another time and place in the soon to be future.
