Chapter 2: I Miss You

Loryn sat on a low rock, his elbows on his knees, his ears back flat on his head. He carried no spear with him, only a dagger strapped to his arm. He wasn't so far from the village that he felt he needed a spear anyway: he was sitting in the summer village's graveyard up on the hill just outside the pastures. It was late in the evening, and he knew he should be getting home to Kira, but he wanted to finish what he had to say.

"I know it's been a while since I've talked to you . . . I don't really have an excuse anymore for not visiting. It used to be Lea. Then after Lea moved out and married Kilyan, my excuse was Kira . . . my excuse is still Kira. Some nights anyway," Loryn added with a crooked smile.

"Look, I guess the truth is, I haven't been coming up here as much because I've been avoiding it. It doesn't mean I don't still think about you or that I don't care! Shit, if I didn't think about you, if I didn't care, I wouldn't avoid coming up here. It wouldn't be difficult at all. But it is difficult. You have no idea how much I loved you, and then to turn around and do what you did -!"

Loryn halted and dropped his face in his paws. The wind picked up, dragging withered leaves across his ankles, and he ran his paws back through his mane and gazed unseeing into the distance. He was a gray wolf, striped black, his body still hard and muscular, but going so soft around the midsection that Kira was starting to playfully pull his pouch when they had sex. She would put hickeys all over it as she sucked him off, and Loryn would walk the streets with the love-bites blaring, rubbing his accosted belly for all to see. His friends would whistle and tease, and Loryn would just grin. But anyone who saw him now would think him quite mad: he was alone in the graveyard and apparently talking to thin air.

"Why am I even talking about this? It's over now. Lea is happy and Kilyan takes good care of her. That's all that matters. You can't change the past . . . I bet you'd love to change the past, though, wouldn't you, baby? Wouldn't we all . . ."

"I miss you. Is that wrong?" he wondered sheepishly. He went on with a smile, "I miss the way you held my paw and kissed it. I miss how big and warm you were in bed. I miss the way you followed me around all puppy-eyed. I miss the way you swore to never hurt anyone after being with me. I miss that I had that kind of influence on someone. Or at least the illusion of it.

"I miss taking care of you. Kira doesn't let me take care of her. She insists on the opposite. She sees it as her role as a female: we males aren't allowed to give TLC in her eyes. Heh. Gotta love Kira. So caring for you . . . combing your mane, feeding you, pampering you . . . it was a wonderful thing. But it wasn't just that. I wasn't just caring for your body. I was caring for your soul. What was left of it . . ." he added darkly.

Loryn looked up and laughed apologetically, almost as if he had looked up to find some insulted specter frowning at him. "Sorry. I didn't mean -- We both know what I meant. Anyway . . ." He stood and turned his back. "I just wanted to say . . ."

Loryn looked over his shoulder and said quietly, "I love you." Then he hurried away into the trees, almost as if he was running from his feelings.

No one knew it, but in his retirement, Loryn came very often to the graveyard to speak to this mysterious friend - a friend who wasn't even buried there. It had been his secret for years, and a secret he was very ashamed of. If he made his way to the village graveyard and other wolves were there, he would abruptly turn tail and have his little "visit" down in the northern forest instead. So long as he was in a place where no one would stumble upon him, he spoke to the departed and sometimes fancied that they spoke back - though he knew he was only imagining these things out of comfort.

Loryn made his way down the sloping path, his bulging arms swinging at his sides as he passed through the buttery rays of sunlight that reached down through the trees. His ears pricked forward and he smiled when he heard grunting and moaning: apparently, some teens had snuck up to the southern wood for a little fun. He was going to just keep walking (whipping teenagers was no longer his business as far as he was concerned) when he heard a voice he recognized and halted.

Loryn moved quickly toward the shaking bushes and pushed them aside. He wasn't surprised at what he found: pretty black Wynn was in the lap of a young stud from the village, her shapely thighs wrapped around him as she bounced in his lap. His paws clutched her ass in fistfuls as he helped her move up and down on his cock, and his eyes were half-closed as he grunted under his breath, "Oh yeah, baby, oh god, you're just as tight as they all said!"

Wynn tightened her arms around the male's neck, her tits flapping, her curls in her eyes as she answered breathlessly, "Don't you know it, honey. You're just as big as I thought. You got hard, and it about tripled." She laughed girlishly, and they kissed, tongue and all.

Wynn. Her nickname in the village had become Wild Wynn, for Kilyan had never been able to tame her. She had her males when, where, and how she wanted, and she was so ravenous in her hunger that Loryn and the others were in awe that she'd never gotten with pup. There were so many young males after her, after all. But they were most of the time too frightened of Inden to approach the lovely sex goddess.

Wynn had grown to be very beautiful after all, every straight male's dream. Sixteen-years-old, she was ripe for the taking, but often did the taking herself. High and firm breasts, long black curls that fell to her waist, and beautifully slanted green eyes. She was irresistible, and the very worst part was that she knew it and abused it.

"Oh, Grizo, I don't think I can get any wetter," Wynn whispered. Her head fell back, and she laughed breathlessly when the apparent Grizo slurped her tits.

"I'm coming," he panted. "What . . . should I do?" And he blushed just to ask the question.

Wynn kissed him fervently on the mouth and whispered against his lips, "Come inside!"

It was here that Loryn, walking by, had heard that familiar voice and pulled the bushes apart. "The hell he will!" Loryn snarled, lunging into the bushes.

The teenagers were so badly startled that Wynn fell clear off Grizo's dick and onto her back. Grizo spurted his white seed through the air, and it splattered Wynn's lips, her tits, and her mane in glossy strings. She sat on her tail sputtering as Grizo, thoroughly emasculated, leapt to his feet and covered his dick and balls with clumsy paws. He bore it with blushing cheeks when Loryn slapped him and told him to beat it. Without hesitating, he grabbed up his spear and sprinted away as fast as he could.

Loryn looked at Wynn and couldn't believe it: she was glaring at him when she got to her feet, but she seemed more angry that she hadn't had a chance to come than the fact that she'd just been caught. Thinking of Kilyan and how mortified he'd been for being caught just having fallen on Lea, Loryn marveled to himself that this was Kilyan's child.

"No, don't wipe it off," Loryn said when Wynn brought the back of her wrist to her face.

Wynn looked at Loryn, incredulous.

"Since you're so proud of shaming your father, you'll wear it home." And get a taste of how it feels, Loryn thought as he steered Wynn from the bushes by her skinny arm.

For other wolves ridiculed Kilyan because he could not keep his own daughter in line. Kilyan was shamed for Wynn's wildness everyday. But Wynn didn't seem to care, didn't seem able to stop her ways. Sex was like some kind of drug, and she was in need of some long rehab.

They passed up the streets of the summer village side by side, and Loryn watched in clear amusement as wolves pointed at Wynn, hooting and laughing. Children ran after her, yanking her tail and calling her Slime Face, and old males asked when they could shoot on her next and was there a waiting line?

Cheeks burning, the usually bold and feisty Wynn was very subdued by the time she and Loryn stopped outside of Kilyan's hut. The sun was setting in the sky. It was evening and she was late for supper. She moved past Loryn with her jaw standing out hard in her anger, and bending over a bucket of water that Ohana had left out that morning, she washed the cum off her face, breasts, and mane.

Watching Wynn's prominent jaw, Loryn was strongly reminded of Kilyan, as well as Kel. Oh, yes, Wynn was definitely of the breed. She turned to face Loryn with a flashing in her green eyes that seemed to have been passed down through the generations.

"You look at me like that again, and I'll knock Kel's pretty eyes out of your head," Loryn joked. He folded his arms, observing Wynn with the same amusement. "You really brought this on yourself, you know," he said, almost affectionately.

Wynn couldn't hold back a half-smile as she pushed the wet locks of mane back from her eyes. "I know," she said. Damn Loryn! She wasn't even related to him by blood, and yet just because he was the father of her father's wife, she had to obey him. What was he doing out in the southern wood alone anyway?

"I know Kilyan's probably told you this, but I'll shout into the cave anyway," Loryn said, and Wynn winced: she was about to receive sex advice from an elder. Ewww.

"Never let a male come inside you that isn't your husband, Wynn. Ever! Good god, at least make him pull out first or climb off his cock - or wrap one of those little rags you use for your moons over his dick --"

"Okay, okay!" Wynn cried, smashing her paws hard over her silver ears.

"And if you insist on fucking around, at least do it in the fields, hmm? Or down there by the village wall. Then none of us have to worry that some loner will kill your lover and abduct you while you're getting your rocks off. Got it?"

Wynn laughed in spite of herself. "Got it."

"I mean it, Wynn," Loryn said, still standing with his big arms folded. His eyes softened, he cupped Wynn's face with one paw, and he added gently, "Stop hurting your father. I know he wasn't there for you growing up, but honestly, I think Kilyan's been punished enough."

Wynn's long lashes fanned down and a wet lock of black mane fell across them. Loryn brushed the fallen lock aside and lifted Wynn's chin. The anger and pain in those eyes! God, it was like talking to a sixteen-year-old Lea all over again . . . Lea, who had once resented Loryn as much as Wynn certainly still resented Kilyan.

"I know what you're going through, honey," Loryn whispered. "I know what you're both going through."

Wynn sniffed and angrily wiped away a tear. She hated whenever she cried.

"So does Lea. You ever need someone to talk to, you talk to my baby girl. And you just remember this: whatever happened in the past, Kilyan loves you, Wynn. More than life itself."

They smiled at each other. Then Loryn jerked his head at the hut and told Wynn she'd better hurry in for supper before Ohana was nagging and scolding her all night.

Wynn laughed as she turned for the curtain: it was true: Ohana had become a bit of a nag over the years. But it was only because she cared. Ohana was the mother that fussed and scolded, but Lea, as ever, did the part of comforting. And Wynn knew that if she entered her father's hut in tears, Ohana would fuss at her for letting some male break her heart and Lea would enfold her in those slender white arms that were always so warm and so strong, and both motherly females would demand to know what had happened. So Wynn wiped away all evidence of sadness and put on her game face before she reached her father's doorway. But she paused and looked back.

"Aren't you coming in for supper?"

Loryn had been walking away! A part of Wynn was relieved though: if he came in, Loryn would spend the better part of the meal giving Wynn taunting glances, silent threats that he just might tell Kilyan what had happened today in the streets of the summer village. And though she was very fond of Loryn, she was glad he was skipping this grand opportunity to tease her. He was always teasing her: she was just a little Kel to him.

And yet, the fact that Loryn was skipping such an opportunity could only mean something was very wrong. Wynn stood gazing at her elder worriedly.

Loryn shook his head and waved for Wynn to go. "Nah, you go on. You'll have enough on your plate without me there." He managed a sad smile, then moved on up the street.

Wynn wanted to insist that Loryn come in: anytime he looked that sad, it was frightening. But she knew there was nothing she could do, so she entered her father's hut and certain aggravation.
