MiSeContest: Matt and Sophie

Okay... let's try this contest. Now, I have left a certain tag out... I just thought to put it in would spoil the suspense of the thing. Strictly, I should probably have it, but it ruins a pretty important revelation at the end. Usual rules, usual warnings. Let's see if I can write for chocolate. I haven't seen any of the other entries yet, so I don't know exactly what I'm up against. This is a bit dark in parts, and as you should have seen from the tags contains incest. Don't like that... just don't read it. Unless you're a judge and you have to, I suppose. Poor you.

It was the witching hour, nothing so crude as midnight of course. Anyone can be a witch at midnight under a full moon. It was past 3 am and he had been awoken by a hand on his shoulder, shaking him urgently. His eyes opened to an unfamiliar ceiling and the usual questions of "Who am I?" "Where am I?" "Am I wearing clothes?" filled his head and were promptly banished. A finger pressed against his lips and words were whispered into his ear barely above the threshold of hearing, the voice one of a distant memory his sleep addled brain could not yet recollect.

"I want to tell you a secret."

He rolled over groggily but the speaker was nowhere to be seen. He was lying on the floor of a large bedroom, richly decorated but poorly lit. The only illumination came from a set of candles, seemingly hanging in mid-air against the opposite wall. The slightly smoky smell from them was probably what had woken him up in the first place. He sat up, realising for the first time that his wrists were bound.

"Sorry I didn't put you on the bed, Matt. The drugs often have an adverse effect on people. I didn't want to be lying in your vomit all night."

Matt looked around sluggishly. It took him a moment for what the voice had just said to seep in.

"Drugs?"

"Well, yes. The amount you drunk, I don't think I actually needed them. You ought to cut down."

The voice was feminine and slightly patronising. Playful, as though this was just some game that he didn't know the rules for.

"What do you...' he began, before trailing off. "Why...?"

Something brushed past his face, and for a moment he caught sight of the speaker. She looked young, but lean, as if she hadn't eaten in a long time. And it had been a long time since he'd seen her. He suddenly realised where he'd seen her before.

"Sophie?"

The patch of darkness in front of him leaned closer to his face, and he saw her face properly. He already knew what he was going to see. A dark-furred catmorph, with a small scar directly beneath her left eye.

"Little brother," she said, looking straight into his eyes.

She hadn't changed much. It had been at least six years since he'd seen her, but she didn't look much older at all. Then again, she did seem... hungry. Gaunt. As though she hadn't been growing because she had spent five years surviving on what she could beg. She reached out and stroked his cheek, softly. It had been a long time since she had done that, too. Once again, Matt was lost for words.

"And how's dad?" she said, continuing to look, unblinkingly into his eyes as if she was looking deep into his mind. "Still a bastard?"

"Yeah..." he muttered. "It didn't help when you left. He just... wasted away..."

She hesitated for a second.

"He deserved it," she said.

"How can you say that?"

"Because he did, Matt. Don't ask me why."

The boy glared at her.

"I'm sixteen now, Sophie. There's no need to hide things from me."

She sighed and looked away.

"Isn't it obvious? Whatever you think the worst case scenario is, it was worse. Much worse. Why do you think Mum..." she paused for a second. "...went away? He drove her to it, in so many ways. And then, when he couldn't bully her any more, he turned to me. In fact... one of the reasons I came here was to check on you. I was worried about you, but I was too scared of him to come earlier. You know how hard this is for me?"

Matt was taken aback by the tear running down her face.

"Yeah, about that. Um... why have you drugged me and tied me up? I mean, you could have just walked up to me on the way to school. Much easier than spiking my drinks. How did you do that, anyway?"

She smiled, and leaned closer to his ear.

"You're just the same as ever. Matt..." she paused. "How would you like to live forever?"

The question was so unexpected, he just stared.

"Is this a trick question?" he asked, finally.

"Not exactly. More like a request. Because I don't want to watch you die, Matt. You'll never be anything with him to look after. Come with me."

The wording of the request was... odd. Inexplicably odd.

"I can't. I mean, I have stuff to do. School and... things. And your life is hardly any better. I mean, you look like you've been sleeping rough ever since you left. Where are we now, anyway?"

"A friend of mine's house. Please, Matt. Wouldn't it be good not to worry about all that any more? Grades. Tests. Work. Dad."

"You can't just run away like that. There's police and... everything. They'd bring me back."

The girl shrugged.

"They haven't caught me yet."

He couldn't think of a reply. It was true. For the first few months after she left, he'd watched out for her. Television. The internet. Even looking around the corners every time he walked into town in case he missed her hiding on the other side of the road. Either the police and social services couldn't find her, or hadn't bothered trying. They were... worrying days. Every night he'd wake up and wonder whether she was still alive. If Dad had bothered to kick up a fuss about it, it could have been in the papers for years. A twelve-year-old runaway! But Dad never really bothered with anything any more, and didn't seem to want anyone to look too closely into it. If they did, they might start wondering why she left in the first place. So he just sat there. Drinking. Watching television. Falling asleep on the sofa, waking up on the floor.

It was an exaggeration, of course. He still went to work. Still got paid. But somehow his mind wasn't really in it any more, and whenever Matt got home, there he was. He tried to keep out of his way. Got up really early, came home late. His father didn't seem to care. Probably reminded him too much of the daughter who ran away and the wife who... went away. Matt knew better than to talk about her in front of him. She went away, he said. Went away. No-one talked about those boxes of pills, used up in one night. No-one talked about the grave, or the pathetic funeral, and especially not that piece of paper his father had found in the bathroom and carefully burned. She just... went away.

The girl in front of him coughed.

"Are you sure you won't come with me, Matt?"

There was something in her voice. A sort of hope. A desperation that stopped Matt from answering immediately and finally.

"No, I'm not. I don't know, Sophie. I'd like to, but... it just won't work. It just seems like... like you're making this up as you're going along. No planning ahead at all."

"Since when was that a bad thing?" she said, quietly.

"Why did you come here, Sophie? Did you think I'd just give up my entire life to stay with you, just like that?"

Sophie fell silent. She didn't look like she was eighteen at all. She was smaller than him, and something about her was so childlike he found it hard to think of her as an adult now.

"More or less..." she murmured. She lowered her voice even further and looked down. "I love you, Matt."

The boy hesitated, unsure how to interpret this.

"Well, of course you do," he managed. "I'm your brother."

"No..." she said, wrapping her arms around him and reaching for his. "No, it's more than that..."

And then she bit him. Her teeth sank into his neck and he shouted in pain. She leant back and watched him from a distance as he tried to wipe the blood away, with no avail.

"What did you do that for? Are you insane or something?" He hesitated. "Are you really that hungry?"

She crawled closer and tried to kiss him, but he pulled away.

"Please, Matt... He made me do it, I didn't mean to hurt you..."

"Who made you do what?" he asked, in an exasperated tone.

"Master Carcase. He thought I was taking too long."

"What do you mean, taking too long? And who the hell's Carcase? Look, could you untie me or something?"

She shook her head, slowly. There was a look in her eyes again. A scary look.

"No, Matt. I'm not letting you out of this room until you've turned completely. Who says I don't plan anything? One way or another, you're coming with me. I'll take you to see the master, and then we'll be safe, Matt. Wouldn't you like that?"

She pushed him to the ground with both hands, and then began to lap at the wound to his neck.

"Sophie, what are you-"

She put a finger on his lips again. It felt bizarre. The feel of his sister's tongue against his skin.

"Shush. Stop struggling. I love you, okay? And I don't want to have to leave you again."

He stayed silent until she sat up again. She knelt over him, straddling his chest. Then she began to pull off her t-shirt, throwing it to one side.

"No, Sophie... what are you doing?"

She giggled, continuing to undress. She began to unclip her bra from the back.

"As if you don't know. You're sixteen now, remember? Stop playing dumb."

She threw that off, too, and sat there for a moment, topless on top of her brother. She stroked her breasts a little, before leaning further down so they were face to face.

"Oh... You like that, don't you?" she licked her lips. "Seeing your big sister acting the slut?"

"No... we can't do this, Sophie... Just stop..."

She kissed him, long and hard. After a while, he started kissing back, overcome by lust.

"No," she said, breaking contact with a moan. She reached down and began to pull up his shirt, and unzip his jeans. He remained silent as she pulled down his boxers and began to stroke his already-erect penis.

"Ooh, so hard... I bet this is your first time, isn't it? Just try not to cum too soon, I want to get off on this as well..." She grinned and licked the tip, making the whole thing suddenly jolt. "Look how much you want your sister... you dirty little slut..."

"Hey, you started it..." he murmured, before Sophie suddenly pulled his cock into her mouth and took the entire length into her throat without hesitation. She pulled off, stroking the now dripping cock.

"Right, I think you're ready for me now..." she whispered. Standing up, she slowly dropped her skirt, then the panties beneath them, stepping out of them and standing totally naked in front of him. Then, she straddled Matt again, holding his dick against her entrance. She paused, the lips just touching the head of the penis, making him moan and thrust slightly against her.

"Oh, I'm so horny. Do you know how long I've wanted this for, Matt?" she was panting with lust and exertion. "A very long time. Don't disappoint me, little brother..."

Then she let go and pushed herself onto him in one swift motion. She let out a gasp as he penetrated her for the first time. He was surprised how little resistance there was as she energetically rode him, hands clasped around his neck. She reached down and kissed him passionately as she fucked him.

"Where did you-ah!- learn how to do this?"

"I pick things up. Oh god, that was good. Do it again..."

"I don't think I can hold on much longer..."

"Almost there, Matt. Please... lick me here, I like it like that..."

He obediently began to circle her nipple with his tongue, and she arched her back and gave a long satisfied sound. Her pussy began to contract around his cock, and suddenly he was cumming too, spraying thickly inside her. They slowed to a standstill, Sophie taking a few deep, slow thrusts before collapsing on top of him.

"So..." she said, panting. "Do you want to stay with me now?"

He took a moment to reply, his eyes half-closed and leaning on the floor in a position that should have been uncomfortable but for the moment was the softest place in the world.

"Yeah," he said, and somehow that single word sent shivers through them both. "Why did you bite me, though?"

Sophie snuggled closer to her mate and looked into nothing.

"I'll tell you about it in the morning," she said, staring into space. In the darkness, it was impossible to see her worried expression. And as they slept, it was impossible to see the parasites move through the boy's bloodstream from the puncture wounds in his neck. And as they dreamed, it was impossible to see the tall caped man who called himself Carcase standing in the rain, casting no reflection in the glass of the window he looked through at the new member of his coven.
