She strolled inside the door without a care in the world wearing a pair of black pants with metal rings in them and a black top. She wore her hair short and walked with complete confidence and a smile on her face. She wasn't to tall but neither was she exactly short. She simply seemed perfect as he watched her from his seat unable to look away. Something about her held him captive as she approached the counter a few feet away.

She placed her order for lunch and gazed around the small dining area of the little reastraunt before settling down into a booth in the corner to await her food. It was a small sandwitch shop that she enjoyed coming into when she could. The people where always nice and it wasn't all hustle and bustle like so many other places to eat. It was a simple place but kept up well and had a pleasant atmosphere where she could eat in peace.

Having completely forgot about his sandwitch that he was holding half way to his mouth, the insides fell right out with a plop pulling him back to his senses. He hastily looked away and down to the contents of his sandwitch that were now in a heep on his wrapper while he still held bread in his hand. He proceeded to scoop it back up and replace it on his bread as he glanced up and saw her take a seat in the corner not far from where he sat.

As she sat down she made a quick look at who else was in the room. Nothing of particular interest caught her eye, a couple here or a family there, just the usual crowd it seemed. Then there was a loud plop as her attention was drawn to a mess of what appeared to be the insides of a sandwitch having broken free of its confines. The owner of said sandwitch was was a rather tall individual not far from where she sat. He was wearing a black over shirt with a black shirt beneath and a pair of black cargo pants. He was gazing down at the remains of his sandwitch with a frown and proceeded to try to repair it as best as he could. She couldn't help but smile at his attempts to fix it and let a small giggle escape her lips before quickly turning around so as not to let him catch her staring and hoped he hadn't heard her laugh.

He glared at his sandwitch as he put it together again. Suddenly a small laugh caught his ears. He quickly looked up to see where it had come from and feeling a slight bit frustrated at someone laughing at him. He glanced up just in time to see the girl he had seen come in turn quickly away from him. A sudden feeling of embarrassment crawled from deep inside him at having had her seem him fighting with his sandwitch and realized he must have looked quite foolish fighting with it. Not to mention the only reason it had fallen apart in the first place was because he had been watching her instead of focusing on eating in the first place. Now all he could do was look down at his poor excuss for a sandwitch and eat realizing any chance of speaking to her had been ruined along with the remains of his pitiful lunch. He resolved to eat quietly and keep his head down to avoid embarrassing himself further.

After giving herself the chance to let the rising blush she felt on her face dissapate and make sure that he wouldn't be looking at her just in case he heard her laugh, she slowly turned her head back around to look at him. To her dismay he was looking rather sad and keeping his face down. Surely he must have heard her laugh and now she felt horrible, she hadn't meant anything by it but it but to him it must have been quite insulting. She wanted to appologize but she had no idea what to say, much less if he would even listen to her. Suddenly a waitress came along with her order before rushing away after placing the tray infront of her and rushing of to the next table. She looked down at her food but no longer felt all to hungry. She settled to take a few small bites but kept finding herself looking back over to the guy behind her with his dark hair and rather sullen expression which only made her feel worse.

He could feel her gaze upon him but dared not to look up. What could he say to her and why was she watching him? Was it to see if he did something else so she could laugh at him again or dare he hope that perhaps she might simply like him. In either case its far to terrifying to find out so he simply finishes eating and prepares to leave. Gathering his trash he makes his way to the checkout glancing back one last time to the girl in the corner. He catches her staring and can't control a small smile rise at the corner of his mouth and sees her smile back as she slowly looks away. With a sudden surge of glee he strolls over to the register and awaits for the waitress to come over so he can pay. She arrives swiftly enough and smiles at him.

"Will that be all for you today sir?" As she smiles at him and rings up his meal.

"Actually if you don't mind I'd like to pay for the girl in the corners meal as well, and you wouldn't have a pen and a napkin I could use would you by chance?" Giving one final glance over his shoulder again at her.

"Of course." Hands him the pen and a napkin before ringing her meal up as well.

He quickly writes down something quickly before handing both back to the waitress along with with the money for the meal and a rather large tip.

"Just make sure she gets that when she goes to leave and have a good day." Giving the waitress a wink as she assures him she will upon seeing the large tip and calls "thank you" as he strolls out the door into what seems like a much sunnier day than it had been when he walked in as he makes his way down the street with a smile on his face.

Hearing him rise behind her and begin moving away she quickly turns to seem him leave just as he turns to see her watching him. She can't help but feel her face grow a bit red as she sees him with a small grin on his face and can't control one on her own spread across her face as she quickly looks away so as not to let him see her blush. She tries desperatly to regain control of her senses and make her blush go away before glancing back towards the register where she could see him take something from the waitress and begin writing something before handing it back to her as he turned to leave and could see a very happy expression on the waitresses face. Feeling a sudden and uncalled for surge of jealousy rise up in her as she saw the waitress with a big smile after looking at what he wrote and waving really big at him as he left. 'He probably giver her his number or something', she thought with a hint of irritation. Not that he was all that good looking anyway though she knew she was lying to herself. In truth she had really liked the looks of him and had been really happy when he gave her that smile but now she felt that it meant nothing and found herself to frustrated to bother eating the rest of her meal and simply wrapped it up to eat later and made her way towards the register to simply get out of here as quickly as possible. To her dismay the waitress that had rang him up swiftly came to the register with a bright grin on her face.

"So how much do I owe you?", She asked while trying to keep any disdain from her voice. After all it wasn't this girls fault that she had gotten her hopes up of actually finding a guy she might have found slightly attractive only to have him give his number to someone else right after smiling at her.

"Nothing Miss", The waitress said with that still rather large grin.

"Excuss me?", She said being taken off gaurd by that remark.

"Oh that gentleman paid for your bill and told me to make sure I gave you this for him.", She said while reaching into her apron and pulling out a napkin that had some writing on it.

The waitress passed it to her with a large grin before turning and walking away to help another customer leaving her rather surprised and speechless.

"I rather hope your lunch tasted a bit better than mine and I hope you had a good view while eating and I'm glad I had the chance to make you laugh. If you liked the view then perhaps you would care to see it again tomorrow about the same time. If not then I shall hope that you don't mind the free meal and I bid you adue with the hopes of seeing you again. _ _Sincerely The Gentleman In Black."

After reading the note for the third time smiling she couldn't help but feel quite foolish for her earlier thoughts. After quickly waving down the waitress with whom she had been unfairly cross with and giving her another rather large tip leaving the poor waitress dumbstruck and smiling widely, she made her way out of the restraunt with a broad grin on her face as she strolled down the sidewalk rather looking forward to lunch the following day.
