Barret tries to take it further with his Gardevoir partner, but the more that he tries, the more that he questions himself, and the more that he worries that he might not be able to give her what she needs without succumbing to a part of himself he's always been told was bad.

Mewtwo Makes a Master

Part 3

For sonic232

By Draconicon

The original plan had been to go to Vermillion City, catch one of the ships leaving, and see how things would be in a different region for a while. That plan was shot to hell and back as soon as Mewtwo started to work his magic on the pair of them, and then shot further to hell when Azalea started to show how much she loved being put into her place under him. The little fantasies that she had had bubbled to the surface, and Barret had a hard time telling which were hers, and which he might have planted when he was melded with Mewtwo in the past.

As a result, he decided that it would be better for them to stay in Kanto for a bit longer until they sorted that out, and until he felt like he was settled with himself. The fact that he was still tempted to take more power from time to time worried him, but at the same time, he told himself that it would be fine. After all, all of the power came from Mewtwo. As long as they weren't melded all the time, that should work out okay. He hoped.

So, another day in Celadon. The horse pulled himself out of bed as he groaned from the good-morning blowjob that Azalea had given him. His shaft fell across one leg, his morning wood fading away from the pleasurable tugging, teasing, and licking that she'd given it, and the Gardevoir joined him in sitting on the side of the bed.

"Was that a good way to wake up?" she asked.

"...Very," he said, blushing slightly.

"Thank you for telling me to do that. I...I'm glad to have permission to...do things with you like this."

The stallion smiled, though it was still a bit of a weak, wan sort of smile. He didn't know if he was doing the right thing. He knew that he wanted this, that he liked the idea of keeping Azalea as both his partner and someone that he could...order around...use...But he didn't know if he wanted to keep it that way forever. He didn't know if he could trust himself to keep it that way.

She looked him in the eye, and he swore that for just a split second, she looked a little disappointed. Then the moment passed, and she smiled again.

"So, what would you like to do today?" she asked.

"Well...what would you like to do?"

"I just asked you that, though."

"Yes, but..."

He had asked her what to do. All night long. They had been going at it, fulfilling different fantasies of his, and then they had enjoyed something more this morning that was very much targeted at him rather than at her. It felt a little unfair for him to get even more after that, and besides, she deserved a turn. Right?

Or you could just -

Barret stomped out that thought before it could get any stronger. He had already gotten so much that he wanted. Did he really need more? Did he really need to go so far down the road of being assertive that nobody else got a choice? That seemed too much, and he felt like he'd give into that temptation all too easily if he tried. Better to hold back. He cleared his throat.

"I'd like you to pick. Choose for me."

"...Are you sure?" she asked.

"Yes."

"Then...let's go to a café. You and me. In public."

"Well, that I can do."

He smiled. Previously, that would have been all but impossible. There would have been no chance of going anywhere in public with her, not with the potential judgment that would follow. Today, however...

Yes, he felt like he could do that. It felt right.

"Let me just get dressed."

"And a real café, please?"

"No problem."

They walked out of the Pokémon Center arm in arm, and for the first time in his life, he didn't feel terrified of what would come next. Part of it was the fact that Azalea looked like she'd blast anyone that gave them a second look into next week, but the other part was just the realization that he could be more himself. She had allowed him to insist on a title, and that meant the world to him. The fact that they were able to be together, that she wanted this, meant that he was doing the right thing.

I don't have to do this all the time. I can let her have her fun, too.

Yet, at the same time, he could tell that there was something off. Even as they sat down at the café - a little outdoor place that was rich with the perfumed air of Celadon City - and they had the chance to place their orders, Azalea gave him a weird look, almost like she was waiting for him to do something. He just looked back at her, a bit puzzled, and she sighed, turning to the waiter. She put in an order for a delicate fruit salad, and then the waiter turned to him for his order.

As soon as they were alone, he leaned in, whispering.

"What's the matter?"

"You know what I like. Couldn't you...you know, order for me?"

"I thought you'd like to have the choice."

"Maybe sometimes I'd like a little less..."

"Azalea?"

"..." She sighed, shaking her head. "Later, Master."

"Barret, in public."

"...Okay. Sorry. Barret."

She still looked disappointed, and that bothered him. He couldn't figure out why she looked so bothered about this. He was doing the thing that she wanted, right? Why wasn't she happy about it?

Their food was brought out a bit later, and they set to eating, nibbling away at the little tidbits that were all that the café really had for food. He tried to focus on that, even as he felt Azalea staring at him from across the table. The stare wasn't venomous, exactly, but it was definitely something that was pricking at him, making him more and more frustrated.

What the hell am I doing wrong?

They eventually paid, and he took her by the hand as they left. He still got a bit flustered when some of the other trainers and normal folk there turned to look with disapproval, but kept from saying anything. Still, he blushed as he walked out of the café, turning onto the main road that ran through Celadon.

"I can't believe they looked at us like that," he muttered.

"You're overreacting," she whispered.

"Am I? They're not happy."

"But does that matter? If we're happy, do they matter?"

"...No..."

"That's right. Now...what next?"

"I..."

He looked at her, and he knew, somehow, that she needed him to pick. She needed him to pick this time, wanted it from him so badly that it showed through the normally impenetrable expression that she kept on her face. Barret took a deep breath, then slowly let it out.

"Let's go to the park."

The smile she gave him for making the decision was worth every moment of discomfort that came from the café.

They had circled the park twice and were taking a rest on one of the benches by the pool when she asked the question. He braced himself as she looked at him, and hoped that he was wrong, but of course, he wasn't.

"Where were you...exactly...when Mewtwo was out yesterday?"

"What do you mean?"

"You know what I mean. I was...I saw you on the bed, and could feel that you were around, but I couldn't find you. Where were you?"

"Oh. That."

"Yes. What happened?"

The way that she stared at him, it was clear that she had been puzzling through it for the last few hours. She had some idea, at least, something of a theory, but that didn't mean that she knew for sure. He could, theoretically, lie to her, but...

But even if she couldn't read his mind without permission, that didn't feel right. He sighed.

"I was...melded...with Mewtwo."

"...Melded?"

"He wants to 'train' me to be a better trainer. A better master or something like that. And...and I was in his head when you were talking to him."

The sudden blush that spread across her face was completely understandable, considering that she had lied to Mewtwo about him not needing to be better. Now she knew that he'd been there to hear it, that he knew what had passed between the two of them. He looked down at the ground.

"I...he let me look into your mind."

"He could do that?"

"Easily."

"And...what did you see?"

"I saw..." He rubbed the back of his head, the fearful part fighting with the aggressive part. The latter won. "I saw what you really wanted."

"Oh. You saw...those things..."

"Yeah. Those things."

"Oh. Wow."

Her face had barely been a nice shade of pink compared to the bright crimson that it became after he told her that. Barret could still remember the small fantasies that he'd seen, ones that complimented the things that he wanted. Neither of them had been willing to talk to the other about them, to bring them up. She needed him to take the lead, and he needed to know that she was okay with it the whole time.

Of course, we could make her okay with it...

He wanted to say that was Mewtwo's voice in his head, but no. That was just himself. That was his own urges, his own wants and desires that were begging to come out and take control. That was the horrifying part to him. He still wanted this on some level. He'd already been given something akin to power sharing with Mewtwo, something that would allow him to do things that no normal person could, and he couldn't be satisfied with that. He needed more.

He groaned under his breath, looking away from her. She pressed her small hand against his upper arm.

"You...did you see what I wanted from you? Everything?"

"Everything."

"I...I never thought that you'd be okay with that. And you did that...while melded with him?"

He nodded.

"Why?"

"I thought...I thought maybe I could enjoy a bit of that. Take advantage, since we both wanted it."

"You took advantage?"

"Yes. I'm -"

"That's...sexy."

The stallion whipped his head up, his eyes widening. Of all the things that she might have said at that moment, that was the one that he had expected the least. The Gardevoir blushed a little bit further, looking away from him as she hmmed to herself, hemming and hawing as she tried to find the right words.

"I mean...I don't want to be taken advantage of all the time, but here and there...it's kind of...sexy."

"You mean..."

"I am a Pokémon...it's not unnatural that we would sometimes like to take orders."

"But I just...I made you..."

"You helped me admit what I liked. That's all."

She looked back at him, both embarrassed, shy, eager, and...maybe a trifle disappointed? Why was that there? Why was that still there? What the heck was he doing wrong now?

"Do you think you could...you know...do it again?"

"Do - you mean, meld with him?"

"Yes. I want to see it, understand it. For your sake and his. And then...well, maybe you could go...just a little further?"

The idea of taking what he had already done further sent all the blood running to his cock. His cheeks burned hotter than ever, and he looked back and forth, almost as if there was someone in the area that might have heard them. Impossible, of course, but he couldn't help himself at that moment.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes," she whispered.

"Then let's get back to the center. Better to do this privately."

"Are we going that far?"

"We might..."

They shut the door, and Gardevoir sat on the bed. She looked positively anxious with excitement, and the fact that she was that into this made him a little more excited than he otherwise would have been. He would have liked more time between the last session with Mewtwo and this one, just to collect himself, but he had been messing this up so far, so he might as well see if there was a way to do this better. He took a deep breath, pulled the ball from his belt, and called Mewtwo out.

As soon as the Psychic took form, Azalea focused on him. His Gardevoir took a deep breath, her eyes glowing with some of her power, while Mewtwo only smiled.

"What's the matter? Too much for you?" he asked.

"Hardly. I want...I want to see...more..."

"...More?"

"I want to see what you did before. I want to understand."

"Hmm. I see."

Mewtwo looked at him, and in that moment, he heard the voice of the Psychic in his head, and more, he knew that Azalea did not.

_You aren't giving her what she wants.

I'm trying. I'm trying not to be an asshole about it.

That's not what she wants.

And you know?

Better than you._

Before Barret could say anything, the Mewtwo turned back to Azalea. There was a slight smirk on his face, too.

"I can show you what we did. You will find it...interesting, I'm sure."

"You'll let me see it? Study it?"

"Of course. You don't have the power to replicate it, so I see no reason why you shouldn't see how it's done."

The casual insult aside, Mewtwo turned to look at him. Barret sat down on the edge of the bed, knowing what was coming, and knowing that he needed to have something stable underneath him. His eyes met with the Mewtwo's, and suddenly, he was being pulled right out of his own mind.

This time, however, it was less violent, less sudden, and less like someone had taken hold of him and yanked him out of his own skull. Mewtwo was taking his time, folding his power around Barret's thoughts, and bit by bit, he was wiggled up and forward, free and secured in the mental grasp of the Psychic type.

"Fascinating," Azalea said, her voice far off. "How does he..."

"He lives. His thoughts are all that I take, and then I put them back when we are done."

"How does he..."

The voices faded as he left his body completely, floating on a psychic energy stream that was far weaker than the other times that they had done this. He could feel Azalea prodding at him as he was dragged along, almost like she was poking at an animal on a table rather than her partner. As soon as he thought that, she stopped, and he realized that she was picking up his thoughts far easier than before.

He floated there for a few moments more, and then he slipped into Mewtwo again.

He floated in the pink light, and then among the purple light. The merging and melding were easier this time, as he was allowing himself to be better, to be improved. He felt some of Mewtwo's power sliding through his thought form, something that felt empowering to the more aggressive side of him. He shivered a bit, feeling almost like he was settling into a body as well as a thought-form this time.

He realized, too late, that he kind of was. He stared out of one eye as he looked at Azalea, and Mewtwo stared out the other. He could feel the body that they shared, the twitching tail, the sense of the world, the psychic feedback that came from a different Psychic Pokémon being in the room - which was rather headache-inducing, he realized - and the overall sensation of just being a Pokémon again.

It was weird. It was powerful. It was both.

Azalea looked at him, hesitating before opening her mouth -

" I'm here," Barret said, only realizing a split second later that he was speaking through Mewtwo's telepathy.

"You can hear me?"

" And I can talk to you. Apparently."

"You're in him, and he's...is he in you? No. He's still in his own head. And you two are...merged?"

" Kind of. It's not a full merging, I think. I think we're more just sharing his skull."

" That is a better way of putting it," Mewtwo agreed. " Now, what will you two do, I wonder?"

"I'd...like him to try and do more with my mind. To dig through it a little bit, and find out what else I like, and what else we can do."

" I can do that. It's...kind of easy, in here," Barret said. " As long as Mewtwo does what he's told."

"Then take a look."

It felt like she was putting up a barrier, but it was nothing more than a mock one, something that was put up for a token resistance. He wondered why she did that, if she wanted him to just look in and do things. Why make him work for it?

Unless she wanted him to try and force her to do something.

That thought sent a shiver through him of both arousal and fear. No. He didn't want that. She might, but he -

Mewtwo's mental smirk left him growling slightly, and he pushed forward. Mewtwo's power parted the shield that the Gardevoir had up before her, and they were inside her mind once more, looking at what she felt, what she thought, what she hid, what she wanted.

It was clear that there was nothing in her that even remotely resembled someone that wanted to take charge. Even disregarding the various fantasies that she had of being on the bottom, all of her thoughts were turned towards following orders. Maybe it was something to do with her raw nerves regarding her own powers, or maybe she just wasn't comfortable taking charge. Either way, she had a desperate need for someone else to keep a firm leash on her, and for the first time, he started to realize what the annoyance during the day had been about.

He nudged Mewtwo to view those thoughts, to let him see just what she was feeling, and he got to live through the moment again with her point of view. The stallion saw her asking him to pick what they did that day, and then he felt her disappointment when she was forced to choose, instead. He saw that she was eager to have him pick, to do things that made him happy, that made him feel like the real man, the big man, the right man.

She wanted him to be in charge. She didn't quite need it, because she was able to do other things, but she wanted him to be the one calling the shots.

" Oh..."

"What?"

" I...I think I understand a bit. Is it alright if I...if I do something about that?"

Just do it, one part of him said, and he could hear that thought echoed further down in Azalea's mind. She wanted him to take that authority, to take charge. Yet, on the outside, she slowly put on a smile and nodded, instead.

"Go ahead."

He nudged Mewtwo, asking him to adjust it, and he felt the power reach out again. This time, he watched the change happen. The little implantation of a happy feedback loop when being given orders was installed, and he could feel her already feeling happier. There was a strangely off feeling when it came to her being modified, like there was one part of him that was a little sickened at it, and another part that loved doing it.

" Okay, let's keep looking. Maybe there's something more we can do."

And so they continued digging through Azalea's mind. There was a great deal of stop and start to the process, with Barret nudging Mewtwo around to keep finding the different spots and thoughts and feelings to start with, and then pausing to talk to Azalea, most of the time with Mewtwo being the one to ask the question, and then with him finally pulling the trigger to make it happen. It was an awkward, clunky sort of process, but he could feel happiness coming from the Gardevoir through the process, so he hoped that he was still getting it right.

They had given her the ability to enjoy blowjobs to the point of personal climax, a minor obsession with his pleasure, and a few other small things when Azalea finally held up her hands in a stopping motion. Barret immediately pulled back, slowed only by Mewtwo trying to keep this going. She sighed.

"I'm sorry. I need this to...I want to stop."

" Why? Did I go too far?"

"No, it's more..."

She sighed.

"It's more that you're not doing what I want."

" ...I don't get it. I'm changing you, aren't I? Bringing out the big things that you like, making it more real."

"Yes, but you're not doing it for you. You're doing it for me. And you're doing it because he's pushing you to, not because YOU want to. There's too much of...him."

" I can't help it that I outclass him on every level," Mewtwo said.

Barret growled a little in the back of his head, but it wasn't like there was a lie there. Anyone, everyone was outclassed by Mewtwo. There wasn't a person in the world that would be able to match that raw power, and when he was present, that meant that you either had to be strong enough to dominate him, or you got the hell out of his way and let him be the one in charge. Barret's approach, trying to survive and encourage Mewtwo to do what he wanted, was the wrong way, and it had only lasted this long due to the Psychic's permission.

His Gardevoir turned away, sighing as she looked at the far wall.

"I'm sorry. Let's just stop. It's not...fun...when it's not you."

"**I can do it.[/i]"

"I don't know if you can. I mean...you're asking him every time."

"Yeah, but..."

"And you're asking me, too. You know...you saw what I wanted, didn't you? You saw what I want from you?"

For him to take control. For him to be the one calling the shots. For him to be the one making the decisions.

She wanted him as her Master. Properly. Truly.

And you want it, too, Mewtwo said, a private whisper just for him.

Get out of my head.

You're in mine. Remember?

Do you want me to take control?

How many times do I have to tell you that I need a master that can make me respect him? How many times do I have to tell you that you need to be better if you want me to bend to your whims?

You've been doing what I asked!

Out of curiosity. Nothing more.

You...you...

If you want this, show me. Show me that you have the strength of will to make me listen to you. Show me that you're worth my time.

With an internal scream borne of frustration, out of fear, and out of the raw sensation of being completely at a loss of what he was supposed to do to be himself, Barret did just that. The horse's long pent-up anger lashed out at the Mewtwo's power, reaching out like ropes. They were snapped, shoved back. He lashed out again with his urge to stop being weak, to have what he wanted, to stop needing to hold back. That gripped the image of the Mewtwo's mental self, pulled him close.**

All this time, he had been holding onto what others wanted. It was time for him to have what he wanted.

They slammed together, a violent thing that was less than merging and yet more at the same time. He was no longer half-together with Mewtwo, but over him, dominating him, holding him close and -

AAAAAAAAGH!

Immediately slammed with everything that Mewtwo knew, everything that he could sense, everything that the most powerful Psychic type in the world could sense. It was all there, from the utter want and disappointment that merged together in the Gardevoir to the slight confusion in the nurse's mind on the floor below from the machines going off the charts to the sensation of contentment of the other Pokémon on his team. He could feel it all, and he knew, he knew that he could do anything that he wanted to them.

The urge to take them was almost overpowering. The urge to slam Azalea down and just take what was his. The base instinct that he had been holding back for so long surged to the fore again, and it terrified him. The terror was met with the overwhelming stimulation from everything else that Mewtwo was aware of, all the other little thoughts and feelings that filled the air. How anyone, let alone a Pokémon could deal with all that, he didn't know. All he knew was that he couldn't.

**Please, please, please -

Still can't handle it?

Please -**

And just like that, the bond was broken. He was kicked out, sent back to his body, and he woke up gasping and heavy.[/i]

"Ah...ah...ah..."

Barret sat up with his hand over his heart, feeling it thudding away. The world was quiet again, so quiet that it was almost worse, but there was nothing worse than that flood of information that he couldn't deal with. So much power, so much intense power and insane capability, and there was nothing that he could do with it.

Azalea sat with him, taking his hand. He could tell that she didn't quite know what had happened, but she knew that he had been hurt somehow. She extended a bit of her mind to his, and for the first time since this started, he let her in.

They were together again, and he let her see the part of him that he kept pushing down, the part of him that he was ashamed of. He had never, ever let her see it before, afraid that she would be afraid of him, or that she'd want to run off, or that she'd berate him for ever thinking that he could do that to another person. He braced himself for that then...

And it didn't come.

Instead, Azalea wrapped her arms around him, whispering something about how she wished he had 'told her before', but no more than that. He hugged her back, gently, slowly, patting her arm.

"Less than I hoped for."

Both of them looked up at the floating Mewtwo, and he looked back. His eyes were filled with purple light, and he shook his head.

"I'm not meaning it as an insult this time. I merely expected more. From both of you."

"What do you mean?" Barret asked.

"You cannot decide what you want. And she cannot decide how to tell you."

"I...I do know what I want."

"Not from when you were inside me. You couldn't handle the power, and you couldn't handle yourself. If you want to do anything with me, then you need to decide what you are, and what you want. I will not allow that power to go anywhere else."

"He's trying," Azalea said.

"Not hard enough."

"Then get back in the ball until we need you again."

"Hmmph. You really do not understand."

Yet, Mewtwo did as he was asked, disappearing into his pokéball and sliding away into that silent little orb. Barret rubbed his face, slumping forward a bit as he tried to collect himself. He was still half-scarred by the sheer information overload that he had experienced, and he honestly didn't know what in the world he was going to do when he tried that again. If Mewtwo even let him try it again.

He glanced at his Gardevoir. She took his hand, nuzzling his cheek, and he sighed.

"You really want this?"

"Yes," she said.

"And you really want me to take control? I saw it, but...just this last time. Tell me. Tell me so I can be completely sure."

"Barret." She gently took him by the cheeks, making him face her. "I want you to be the Master that I'm calling out for. I want you to do what you want to do, and for your sake, not mine. I want you to have fun, because when you're doing that, so am I."

"...Okay."

He nodded, leaning back in bed. She followed him down, and they held each other. He said it again.

"Okay."

The End

Summary: Barret tries to take it further with his Gardevoir partner, but the more that he tries, the more that he questions himself, and the more that he worries that he might not be able to give her what she needs without succumbing to a part of himself he's always been told was bad.
